Random Thought
West Indies and Pakistan are already setting their camps in England for test series or some limited overs cricket. How about ECB use this opportunity in their favor and come up with the one Triangular T-20 series? Eng vs WI vs Pak .. That would be great initiative.

Excellent idea. This would be a lot more fun to watch when compared to watching the tests or ODI matches. However, I don't think they can change the schedule that easily unless all the boards cooperate. I would especially love to watch the West Indian team play since it's the T-20 format. England are taking a big risk here by allowing foreigners into their country during these times and I hope it pays off.

This is a great thought as it would be really fun as well to watch them playing against each other. T20 would be the real fun watching those WI players smashing the ball out of the park. And also, it would bring back smiles on our faces which we had being missing due to no matches in past 3 months. But can they setup it immediately or some prior permission might be required I guess so.

All teams do not have any other games planned for the future as most tournaments have got cancelled. I do. It see any issue in conducting this tournament.

So what is stopping them doing a triangular series, they have not scheduled any series and it is possible to set up an international tournament in a short period of time as i think it is a long process to get approval from the authorities and the visa status should be changed if they are to compete for a triangular series after reaching the shores of England, if there is no other tournaments scheduled up i would like to see that happen and hopefully the cricket board could sort the visa issues.

Good idea indeed. Right now, all the cricket boards around the world are facing financial crunch. They need to conduct a few major tournaments as soon as possible. Else they may be forced to return money to the TV channels and the sponsors. And at this point, T20 tournaments suits the narrative. They are easier to manage, and the net revenue can be higher when compared to ODI or tests.

Let's look at the schedule Windies playing 3 tests against England with in 20 days window (8th July-28th July) then Windies players are free as their series against South Africa is postponed already. And Pakistan test schedule is not confirmed yet but according to their schedule they are playing 3 T-20 match series against England around 29th August. Big one month window (28th July - 29th August) So if ECB try to pull some string then they can manage Triangular T-20 series in this slot, they might want to cancel the T-20 series against Pakistan, controversial approach but we are living in interesting times and Triangular series seems more interesting to me in comparison of Bilateral. (More games + Revenue +easy to handle logistics in short period of time) After that England can play test series against Pakistan.

Hopefully we will see Cricket resume and they will come up with something to add these tournaments since Pakistan and West Indies are in the English shores. It's been close to a decade since that match and these idiots are trying to dig dirt up on something which concluded legitimately a long time back. The recent 2019 World Cup final was way more controversial, but the NZ government didn't bother with digging dirt up.
This just goes to show the pathetic state of the Sri Lanka sports government currently. No wonder their current team is in such a bad state right now.
I explained about this in another thread, to be frank it is a great move by the cricket body to show the fake claims by their minister who tried to cast a shadow over their players and if there is an investigation the callousness in which a politician made these fake claims can be proved to the entire country and the world.

Even its very good and profitable idea but we all know about England Cricket Board they are very conservative about many things so I am sure its not going to happen we will able to watch twenty/20 tri series on English soil in next month.

^^^^ At first I thought that three international teams would be playing this inaugural edition of 3 Team cricket. My hopes were dashed when I checked the article. Three South African teams would be taking part, each of them lead by Quinton de Kock, Kagiso Rabada and AB de Villiers. Anyway, I will be watching the match, in case TV coverage is available in India.

Most chances this will telecast on TenSports and SuperSports as both are very good for cricket in this region and South African have good connections with them this could be very interesting how three teams going to do this for Cricket revolution.

I think its the end for the T20 world cup this year as the virus cases continue to grow in Victoria where the final was meant to be played. Its a shame as Australia have been doing a good job at containing the virus but a cluster started when overseas travellers arrived in Melbourne and the staff and security at the hotels contracted the virus and now its out of control so the T20 world cup most likely won't go ahead now. More here: https://www.insidesport.co/all-is-over-for-t20-world-cup-as-cases-increase-in-victoria-ipl-2020-set-to-get-lifeline/

I think except Newzealand every country is facing this problem. At first, it feels like the virus spread has been controlled and later on you realize it is far from being controlled. I am so much pissed with this CCP led China that I feel pity for those who reside in that country. This virus outbreak will not end and it will go on like this if we do not find a cure fast.

Do you really think it is a realistic possibility that we would see IPL this year in India, it might be possible if they take the tournament elsewhere, the situation in India is really going down the drains and i am witnessing it first hand and i am personally terrified seeing the situation that every other place is marked as red zone and i am stuck in the financial capital and i have no idea what the situation would be.

Yeah, not in India but UAE or Sri Lanka according to the reports. BCCI can't afford to cancel IPL tbh, if they do then they are going to suffer heavy lose around INR 4000 cr. News of WC cancellation giving them some hope so let's see. IPL 2020 not happening in India! BCCI official calls UAE, Sri Lanka front-runners for season 13The 13th season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) looks all but set to be moved out of the country. In a recent conversation with IANS, a BCCI official hinted that the tournament is moving out this year. He picked Sri Lanka and UAE as front-runners to host the tournament. The report adds that BCCI is waiting for an official word regarding the future of T20 World Cup before taking a final decision regarding IPL 2020.
"We are yet to decide on the venue but in all probability, it is going outside this year. The condition in India doesn't look suited to have so many teams come in at one or two venues and then create an atmosphere which will be safe for the players as well as the general public even though the games may be played behind closed doors,” the official told IANS.
"The race is between UAE and Sri Lanka and we will need to decide on where we host the league depending on the situation there with regards to the coronavirus pandemic. Logistics also need to be looked into, so we will decide soon," he added.
