Joe Root was the best England bowler yesterday, followed (at some distance) by Josh Tongue. Root had figures of 8-1-19-2. And despite helpful conditions, the two main England seamers (James Anderson and Stuart Broad) failed to take any wickets after conceding a total of 101 runs. This actually shows the weakness in England lineup. They are badly missing a quality spinner who could support Root from the other end. BTW, Root has become more of an allrounder nowadays and during the first test also he managed to get some of the crucial wickets.

Yes of course if Joe Root had another spinner he would have been a backup in this case Mooen Ali could have been a substitute for Joe Root but Moeen Ali was not kept in the squad. However, except for the only fast bowler Josh Tongue, the rest of the medium fast bowlers did not achieve much success. But if they can bowl Australia out in the first session of the second day, they can keep Australia below 450 runs. However, it is assumed that the second test will go in favor of Australia, but if England does not make mistakes like in the first test, then England can draw the match.

Yes, we won the toss and as we can see we have an overcast condition, we also have Cloudson on the frontlines so we'll bowl first on this dark green deck and give 300 runs today, lmao!!

England team decision maker is sacrificing the matches for Australia . In the first test match, the declaration of the first innings was a bad decision while Root was batting very well. And now it seems like they made a wrong decision by electing to bowl first. The match is pretty much in favour of Australia. The betting odds for Australia is almost 1.60×. Based on the current condition of the match, the odds is really good for placing bets on Australia.

In today's second test match, England cricket team won the toss and welcomed Australia cricket team to bat first. We saw Australia win by two wickets against England in the first Test match. In today's second test match against England, Australia batted brilliantly in the first innings.  Australia cricket team scored 339 runs for 5 wickets in the first innings batting. All the Australian team batsmen except Khawaja and Cameron Green have performed well.  Khawaja was dismissed for 17 runs and Cameron Green for 0 runs. The opposition bowling line-up is very weak. Now let's see how strong England can bowl tomorrow

One more thing to point out here is that England is now 339 with 5 wickets still in hand. I am sure that having the experience of the previous game in mind, the England team will never declare innings and will make the last batsman's run count too. We saw in the first test match that they declared in the first innings thinking they have enough score on the board and later they lost the match.

The first session of today's play will be very important as if England manages to survive that session, I am sure that England will be aiming for 500+ runs.

Both Adil Rashid and Moeen Ali have played for England recently. And they were not very effective. In fact Moeen was part of the playing XI for the first match and failed to trouble the Australian batsmen. Like you said, they are overdependent on two pacers (who are 37 and 41 years old respectively). No one would complain when these guys are taking wickets. But so far in this series, the England pacers are being hammered all around the park without any mercy. Are there any options other than Adil, Moeen, Leach and Rehan?

Adil Rashid's test career is finished and the same could be said about Moeen Ali, he only played the first test because Jack Leach got injured. Rehan is a new kid so after some time he might start playing regularly. Although his best chance would be in the subcontinent.

131/1 now. Great reply so far by the English. Cummins and Lyon are the only ones who are bowling well while Starc and Hazlewood are being taken to the cleaners and their economies are over 7 which is crazy.

England needs to continue playing in this manner, but I am expecting them to come close to the target and get all out. Let's see what happens.

And now among the Australian bowlers, it is the lone spinner who has taken the only wicket to fall so far. Anyway, the partnership between Ben Duckett and Ollie Pope has added 54 runs so far for the second wicket. England looks to be quite comfortable at this point.

Out of 12 wickets, only 3 wickets fell against spin so i won't read into it much. Having said that there was literally some weird turn, which happens in India frequently on the 3-4-5th day.

For now, Poms are looking good, almost 200 up and they only lost 2 wickets. Aussie might get into some trouble as this match or series progresses because Lyon just got injured i supposed, let's hope it's just a cramp and not some serious issue.

Australia's innings ended on 416 runs. After seeing Australia's batting in the first innings, many people said that Australia will win this match. But predicting so easily where the opponent is England will be very likely to be wrong. 

England have managed to score 217 runs for three wickets in their first innings so far. Among the first three batsmen, one got out close to a century and the other two got out close to half-centuries. In other words, less than three batsmen did not touch the century and half-century milestones. England are 195 runs behind Australia so far. 
As the England batting lineup is in a very good position at the moment, I am hopeful that England will score 195 runs and lead by 150 runs in the first innings.

It will eventually turn out to be a meme if they are not thinking properly and trying to provide only fast paced cricket, the first Test match was a testament, if they would have continued without declaring in the first innings, the match would be way tighter.

Their opener Zak Crawley getting out stumped in Test match and now Ben Duckett missing his century by 2 runs looking for an extravagant shot, interesting to see how long they will be playing the Baz.

Lol. Not happening. England are still trailing them by 170+ runs and they only have 5 wickets in hand out of which only 3 are proper batsmen. Their players are getting good starts, but are failing to convert except for Duckett.

Stokes, Brook and Bairstow are the only ones capable of taking them close to the target. Hoping for no rain interference.

England had to lose four wickets to make 278 runs. I don't know how many runs their first innings will stop. But I think when England won the toss and put Australia in to bat, I think England made a bit of a wrong decision. Australia took advantage of that opportunity to finish their run the way they wanted to and stopped at 416. Especially the Australian player Steven Smith played brilliantly and his wicket fell for 110 runs. Here England have lost such wickets due to some pressure, they have to play a little more cautiously, then they can give Australia a target after completing the target given to them by Australia.

England have done well on day 2 of second test as on stumps they are 278/4 and trail by only 138 runs. England once again are scoring with high run rate of 4.5, important thing is they have still 6 wickets in hands and they may take some lead in first innings. Getting lead of over 100 run is mandatory for England to remain in this match. Take lead in 1st innings and then bowl out Aussies as quickly as possible in second innings is the only way to win this game.

Looks like Australia is going to win this test and it is clear even before the end of play for first day. Apart from occasional bursts by Josh Tongue, none of the England pacers seems to be capable of troubling the Australian batsmen. Partnership between Marnus Labuschagne and Steven Smith is now worth 82 runs, and it came after David Warner scored a half-century. The match is rapidly slipping out of England's control. Australia may end up somewhere around 350-400 on the first day. And they got Mitchell Starc in place of Scott Boland, so there's going to be a lot of searing pace once the Poms come out to bat.
