Pakistan won the match by 53 runs in the end by the DLS method and won the series 3-0. Shadab Khan was really great in this match.  I really thought west Indies could salvage something from this match but they failed to do so.

Shadab Khan made a difference in the match but when Akeal Hosein was in the crease, West Indies always had a possibility to win the match even though they lost 7 wickets as he was hitting the ball clean and was scoring at a high run rate and the odds which were in favor of Pakistan for the majority of the match started to change when he was in the crease till he was dismissed.

I was watching Akeal Hosein for the first time and they way he played he will be a prospect for West Indies in the future and he might get invitations from T20 franchise for his striking ability and he is a pretty decent spinner.

I thought West Indies had a really good chance of winning the match but they lost a lot of wickets really quickly and that certainly cost them. Pakistan had to work really hard to win this match and West Indies should take some positives from the last match.

Shadab Khan saved the match for Pakistan and they were able to win from a not-so-good position. I would say that West Indies had their chances in this match but they failed to capitalize on the moments.

Celebration for Pakistan for a series win and the special thing is that this was a home series which they white wash 3-0. 

Pakistan really won the series very easily but they had to work really hard to win the series and whitewash West Indies. West Indies really did well and almost won the match. But Pakistan played really well and Shadab Khan did really exceptionally to win the match.

As expected, Pakistan has won the 3rd ODI match too. West Indies got whitewashed by Pakistan. Now Pakistan team is at a safe position in the ICC Men's Cricket World Cup Super League table. They were at 10th position before the start of this series, but now they got the 4th position with 9 wins. Perhaps, it won't be easy for South Africa to enter in the top 8. New Zealand may enter in the top 8 of World Cup Super League table.

The team which is going to be in trouble is West Indies. They have played the maximum number of matches (21) and they just have 80 points. Now they have just 3 ODI matches remaining, and that too against a strong India side. As per my calculations, a team needs to win at least 10 matches (100 points) out of the total 24, if they want to remain in the top-8. In all probability, West Indies won't be able to do this and they will be required to participate in the qualifying tournament for the 2023 World Cup. For comparison, Ireland is currently having 68 points from 18 matches.

Things really don't look good for West Indies and I obviously don't think they are also going to win any match against India as well. It will be a really hard task for them. I think they will have to play the qualifying tournament for the 2023 world cup, they will have to do better.

Ireland actually will be able to end in a better position compared to West Indies. I really thought West Indies will be able to win the last match against Pakistan but Shadab Khan actually stole the match away from them.

The next set of matches for the ICC Men's Cricket World Cup Super League is between Pakistan and Netherlands. Three ODI matches will be played between the two sides in Rotterdam. A 3-0 win, or at least a 2-1 series win would mean Pakistan securing the automatic qualification for the next world cup. The ICC guys have once again gone retro mode by cancelling the World Cup Super League from next season onwards. They don't believe in this qualification system and they want to give automatic qualification to the teams of their liking.

In the near future they will be replaced by emerging teams such as Afghanistan. The ongoing economic meltdown in that country is not helping either. The SLCB will be much relieved, if they receive the same amount of annual funds from the ICC which they received for the 2015-23 cycle. Honestly I don't think that they deserve these funds.

But Maxwell's responsible batting helped Australia to an easy win. If Sri Lanka wants to win the series, their bowlers have to perform better.
