India Women won the match by 10 wickets. Smriti Mandhana missed his century for just 6 runs. Both openers did the job for India, Shafali Verma on other end scored 71 runs. Srilanka women toured Pakistan recently and lost all the matches they played there. Still icc must encourage them by giving them more international matches that's the only way to improve there performance.

In South Asia now there are four women cricket teams even just India is having quality all other three need time for having better quality and experience which is important for competing in International matches so if ICC encouraging them which is good signal from them for Women cricket.

Recently we have news now commonwealth is also allowing women teams for their games as they play against other quality teams this will help them now after WBBL and W100 BCCI announces it's going to start WIPL which is also big plus point which will help local women's for better opportunities even still long way to go, but something happening is better than nothing in this area for this game of cricket.

India Women vs Sri Lanka Women

The Sri Lankan women's team is now playing their second ODI against the Indian women's team. Sri Lanka lost all their wickets for just 171 runs in the first match. In the second match too, the performance of the Sri Lankan batsmen did not improve. They lost all their wickets in just 173 runs. At the end of 14 overs, the Indian women's team collected 80 runs. They did not lose any wickets. India will easily win this match too.

India won the match between Sri Lanka Women and India Women. It is easy to say that they have won without any kind of Adverse conditions. Sri Lanka's run-scoring total was 173 in 50 overs while India finished the game in 25 overs. No Sri Lankan batsman was able to score 50 runs. Where India Shafali Verma and Smriti Mandhana has won the match without losing any wicket. This is really a good cricket form India Women.

As mentioned above - Sri lanka lost all the matches when they toured Pakistan and now again they are losing against India.

There is no doubt win is enjoyable in any condition and with current situation in Sri Lanka they are surely looking for some better news which already happen against Australia in men ODI series they completely outclass then and win series with the score of 3 - 2, but now things are completely different in women's matches because India is quality team in Women section, and they have few very exciting players those are experienced and very strong in skills and quality, so it's not easy for home team Sri Lanka win against them.

In last match India outclass them with 10 wickets which was one off worst results now forget about this lost and try to win against them in next match more important for them.

I have to say it was a bad performance by Sri Lanka. India won the match really easily. It was not even a competition for India. And I think this match shows how much improvement has been done in Indian women’s cricket. This should also give an indication data W IPL is possible right now. And through the WIPL a lot of Indian women cricketers are going to come forward. It will be also interesting to see how Indian women have developed their cricketing skills. And is it actually any better than what it was before.

@minairia3 why do you feel that BCCI will back out now?, because this is a historic step and they’ll get lots of support from the government and I’m sure that sponsors will definitely be interested in this. That is a good point because if they delay this tournament further they will have to be held accountable for the money that they received. There will be a lot of criticism if they postpone but BCCI is really good at giving reasons. It is quite easy for them to make up some reason why they will not be doing it and the world will have to accept that. But as you said I also don’t think that they are not so stupid to do something like that.

There could be a reason that they are actually not very interested in arranging a tournament like that and they just did the announcement because they want some money. But the chances of that happening is really low. Because BCCI is a cricket board that always tries to keep its promise. Now obviously the whole amount which was given is not going to be used for the tournament and some amount doesn’t matter how minimal it is obviously gonna go to the pocket of certain people.

Coming back to your question, my reason for saying that BCCI might back out is because we have not heard anything for a long time which ensures that necessary steps are being taken.

Maybe it can make a comeback, but as per the present scenario Sri Lanka needs time to build themselves. Because, they are not in a situation to enjoy and make performances. Several things will be running in their mind, just because of the economic collapse in the country.

During the same match the highest target run chase without losing a wicket in women's ODI is recorded. Earlier this record was set by Australian cricketer Joanne Broadbent and Belinda Clark against South Africa chasing 164 runs in the year 1997.

I don’t mind a team like India trying some things out against a team like West Indies. India is multiple levels above of West Indies in any format of cricket. So, it is not going to be a big problem for India to win against West Indies even if they don’t play with their main squad. It is obvious that they are going to try some things out before the World Cup. And the series against West Indies seems to be a good place to try things out for India right now. Cricket is going to get a boost in popularity because of these tournaments in my opinion. Especially if the WIPL takes place it is going to be a revolutionary step in cricket.

That is a good point because if they delay this tournament further they will have to be held accountable for the money that they received. There will be a lot of criticism if they postpone but BCCI is really good at giving reasons. It is quite easy for them to make up some reason why they will not be doing it and the world will have to accept that. But as you said I also don’t think that they are not so stupid to do something like that.

The WIPL should have been scheduled long time back. The BCCI delayed it by giving all sort of silly excuses. Their first argument was that not enough women players are available in the country. That is a laughable claim, because there are 38 first class teams in India and all of them have women's teams. Forming 3-4 franchises from the best domestic players will be quite easy. I don't know why the fans are keeping silent about all this BS. I haven't seen much reaction in the social media, regarding the delay on WIPL.

As we all know Selectors are now doing some experiments which are going to be helpful for them in the long run and having three different captains for all formats is also very good because this will give some good help for growing leadership in system and having rotation policy is also impressive because with this we can use some good number of players in all formats and can give rest to main bowlers which will help them for staying fit and having long term play time.

I am feeling they are no ignoring Umran Malik but right now having him only in T-20 format is better and after sometime bringing him to this format could be helpful with this now too many bowling options available so giving chance to all is also having impressive track record for others.

The performance of the Sri Lankan players in today's match was better than the previous two matches. The bowlers bowled well enough. In the previous two matches, they scored 171 and 173 runs respectively. In today's match, they were able to collect 216 runs. Throughout the series we have seen the reign of Indian players. The Sri Lankan women's team is very weak. They need to practice more.
