In the end, a lot depends on funding. During the previous funding cycle, associate nations were allotted around $62.5 million per year, which was divided up among the 100 or so national boards. Based on the performance, teams such as Netherlands received a larger share compared to bottom ranked boards such as Maldives and Myanmar. However for the 2015-23 funding cycle, this allocation was reduced to $20 million per year. The reduction amounted to 70%. Obviously we can't expect things to remain the same when that happens.

Now it's all going to be ended because most chances as franchise leagues are going to be operated then surely ICC is going to have some issues which are tough challenge for them to settle with this now they need to do some better things for good future because if they are not able to have any suitable system for them surely these countries are going to suffer badly even few can lose their current level as well.

Virat Kohli has made it harder on himself by concentrating on Bollywood and politics. The only thing I can hope for is that he will be able to perform better. But he will have to work really hard for that. Sincerely, he needs to come out of the world he is currently in.

He's well known for his timely performance. This is missing for a long time. Just focusing on test matches is good, but he isn't a player of that kind. IPL is important, but not that as the ODI and T20 international. More players with better performance makes it hard for him. Somehow the support for Kohli is the one that keeps him active on the team.

Let him play. If he is able to score some runs, then even better. Previously he used to dictate the selection policy. The RCB guys such as Siraj and Saini always used to get preference instead of more deserving ones such as Natarajan and Prasidh. Actually, the selectors have a lot of confidence in Virat Kohli. However, he is still a very respected player in India. So, I believe he will be given more chances. But I highly doubt that he will still be very respected if he is not able to perform for his team.

I think he should look to improve in ODI cricket. Because it is very unpredictable in T-20. And test cricket should not be his thing at this age, you know how much skill test cricket needs. So, he should concentrate on the ODI format and if he shows good results in one-day internationals, then he will eventually be called to play in 20-over cricket.

I am really hoping that Virat Kohli will be able to make a comeback soon. Honestly, it does not feel like if he plays in the World Cup he will be able to perform well. At this point, India has a far better alternative to Virat Kohli entering the world cup.

Dinesh Kartik has shown multiple times that he actually deserves to be on the Indian team. He is one of the most reliable finishers after MS Dhoni for India in my opinion. And I have to add another thing, for some reason I believe if Virat Kohli is in the world cup squad for India and if he does not perform well in the world cup it might actually end his career because of the shit talk he is going to receive.

Agreed 100% on Samson. He always perform well during the IPL, but when he needs to perform at the international level, he delivers below expectation. IMO, Indian selectors have given enough chances to him and they should consider other promising young keepers as a replacement to Dinesh Karthik for the long term. In case of DK, everyone agrees that he is the best choice available at the moment. But age is not on his side. He is 37 years old and may not be able to continue for too long. But at this point, Indian team needs him.

Agreed 100% on Samson. He always perform well during the IPL, but when he needs to perform at the international level, he delivers below expectation. IMO, Indian selectors have given enough chances to him and they should consider other promising young keepers as a replacement to Dinesh Karthik for the long term. In case of DK, everyone agrees that he is the best choice available at the moment. But age is not on his side. He is 37 years old and may not be able to continue for too long. But at this point, Indian team needs him.

I think there are already enough replacement of Kartik in the system.

He hardly stays behind the wickets anyway, except IPL so replacement shouldn't be big concern. Although in T-20 format they do need few more clutch players like him who can strike the ball cleanly. SKY, Hardik, Hooda fit the bill but need couple more.
