Pakistan - Netherlands

I was quite surprised by Pakistan's batting today. Perhaps it is a bowling aid pitch. Pakistan is batting very carefully from the beginning of the innings. Pakistan lost the wicket of Imam ul Haque by just 10 runs. He returned to the dressing room after collecting 2 runs off just 19 balls. At the end of 20 overs, Pakistan's collection was just 73 runs. But at the end of 45 overs, they collected 263 runs. Fakhar Zaman and Babar Azam batted very responsibly. Pakistan will probably be able to give a target of 300. They will win this match by at least 100 runs margin.

Currently, the first test match is being played between Pakistan and Netherland is in progress and as per expectation, Pakistan is showing very good performance. Fakhar Zaman scored 109 runs not out and was the highest runs scorer. Baber Azam also played well and made 74 runs.
It is impossible for the Netherlands to chase these runs; they are already three wickets down under 100 runs.
If Ireland manages to win only one ODI in this series, it will be a bg achievement for them.

Pakistan did bat well but Netherlands team batted equally well. I don't care if Pakistan still wins this match but scoring around 300 runs in a chase against Pakistan bowlers is a big achievement for Netherlands team. For me , Netherlands  rocks in this match.

After 46 overs both Pakistan and Netherlands  teams were at 267-6 . This shows you that how well the Netherlands teams are trying to chase this one.

Pakistan cricket is definitely better teams in the world cricket. 298 runs against them is not very easy for any of the teams. Netherlands players playing relatively well. Even if they can't win the match, they are improving at a slow pace. If they keep continuous pressure against any teams, it will definitely be a big gain for the Netherlands. Last match Netherlands lost game by 16 runs. So If they could play a little better, they might have won.

We know that Pakistan bowlers are experienced. 298 against such a bowling line-up is not easy. Pakistani bowlers could not bowl well. The batsmen should have batted more responsibly. But they did not do well. Their collection was only 73 runs in the first 20 overs. I don't know if we should actually give Pakistan credit for winning against the Netherlands by a quite close margin. Obviously, Fakhar Zaman scored a century in this match. That's a positive sign for Pakistan and Babar Azam also played well. But I don't think that justifies why Pakistan had to work so hard against the Netherlands to win this match. And what I like about the Netherlands is that they took the match really deep. We all expected Pakistan to win this match comfortably. But Netherlands made a game out of this first ODI against Pakistan. I also think that this is a big moral victory for the Netherlands.

Yes, comparatively Pakistan should have done better as they are one of the better teams in the world. On the other hand, it is also true that sometimes the big teams are in danger of losing to the smaller teams. As happened in Ireland vs New Zealand, 3rd ODI match. New Zealand won by just 1 run. So this kind of situation can happen.

Oh, dear! Right now, ranks are not working for any team as we already have few good examples in Ireland vs New Zealand and India they are giving their best against top ranked teams because they have few players those are playing in England counties and have good experience same happening here in Netherlands case as well but still it's a good entertaining match between these two teams with Pakistan needs to improve as always.

Good thing their bowlers squad is again doing good and many youngsters are already had quality to join good ranks no Afridi and Hassan Ali but still they are restricting them under 300 is also good achievement because once I was feeling they can win, but Naseem Shah last few overs were exceptional even he was playing his first ODI.

You need to know that Netherlands was also playing without their regular bowlers such as Paul van Meekeren, Roloef van der Merwe and Timm van der Gugten as they busy with county cricket. Even Fred Klaassen is playing the Hundred in England. So the absence of players was more of an issue for Netherlands when compared to Pakistan. But that also meant that they could offer chances to some of the promising youngsters, such as Aryan Dutt, Tim Pringle, Vikramjit Singh and Vivian Kingma. And at least Dutt and Kingma made an impression during the first match.

And their remaining matches are against New Zealand and Afghanistan. If Sri Lanka manages to win 3 out of 6, then they will qualify instead of West Indies.

A tricky situation for both teams as West Indies need to win this series if they want to be comfortable, but it's not easy for them because recently they have the worst result with white ball against all teams like Bangladesh, India and now New Zealand, but I am feeling they can win one match from New Zealand but still this is not good enough for them because Sri Lanka is also not bad at all in white ball, and they can win against Afghanistan and New Zealand their required matches even they can lose series against New Zealand but still this is good enough for them, and they can go through into top 8.

Both teams West Indies and Sri Lanka former World Champions in this format are now struggling badly for avoiding qualifying round is surely a serious concern as both are badly going down in quality and need some serious changes which are indeed if they want to stay in good shape otherwise this is going to be disaster for them in near future.

After losing Twenty/20 series now West Indies and New Zealand heading for ODI series first match is in progress after winning toss West Indies put New Zealand into bat and start is not good for the visitors they lost few early wickets with good bowling from Akeal Hosein3/20 after seven overs and right now New Zealand is struggling 99/4 after 25 overs a good chance for West Indies to tight screws around them and have first won and lead in this series.

Kane Williamson and Daryl Mitchell both at crease it's a long way for both teams if visitors able to have some good target around 250+ then surely a test for West Indian batting against quality bowling Mitchell Santner, Tim Southee, Lockie Ferguson and Trent Boult are not easy to handle in any conditions.

There is good news for West Indies. They managed to win the ODI match against New Zealand. And with this win, they have 90 points in the ICC Men's Cricket World Cup Super League and are now almost guaranteed of a position in top-8. And what this means is that it will be very difficult for both Sri Lanka and South Africa to qualify for the ODI World Cup in 2023. South Africa also forfeited the ODI series against Australia and this puts them in a very difficult position. Sri Lanka has 6 matches remaining and South Africa has 8. Now it will be almost impossible for them to catch up to West Indies.

78 says 119 runs to be taken but it is not too difficult for Netherlands team.But they have already lost five wickets, if they had two more wickets and one good wicket they could have won the match more confidently.But it is not very difficult for Netherlands to win the game, if they play with a little focus, they can win this game.If Pakistan can give a good bowling performance then Pakistan will be able to secure victory in today's match.But I feel today's match can be in favor of Netherlands if the batting performance and wickets can hold up.

I would like to say that Netherland is not absolutely out of the competition in this match against Pakistan. Even though I really do not believe Netherland will be able to win this match. Because the required rate is more than nine and the Netherlands only have four wickets in hand. But as long as Edwards is in the middle I think Netherland have hope. Lets see what will happen.

I think Pakistan today is so addicted to swinging, I think Netherlands is like that girl. If you say that the players of Netherlands play very well, who is better than Pakistan, you have better bowling and batting than Pakistan.
