It is sad not to see Ben Stokes again in colored clothing as he is one of the greatest all-rounders in world cricket. Having retired from his least favorite format, he will now focus on test cricket. Due to his outstanding performance in the 2019 World Cup final match, England and the cricket world will always remember him. It is safe to say that he was one of the true heroes of the 2019 World Cup.

Ben Stokes is in retirement but his game will remain in the hearts of billions of viewers. He may not be available in ODIs again. But his contribution to the 2019 World Cup will never be forgotten. He gave England victory in the end by batting brilliantly. He is one of the best all-rounders with a decent reputation in all formats.

Depends on individual preferences. You guys are praising him for helping England to win the 2019 World Cup. But at the same time, I hate him for stealing the trophy from New Zealand. Kane Williamson and his team deserved the trophy, but Stokes scored runs after the ball was deflected from his bat during overthrow. The umpire also sided with England, and in the end they received 5 runs from that ball. Williamson, being a gentleman never complained about that. But for many of us, New Zealand were the real champions and Ben Stokes proved to be the ultimate villain.

Well said. Majority of Cricket lovers including me never accepted the result and judged it as a draw while the minority accepted it and hail lucky Stokes as their hero.

Williamson by nature is gentleman in this game, and he accepts his defeat and not go ahead about complaint was big shock for me as well because New Zealand were surely ahead, and they deserve this trophy, but sadly empire's controversial decision give to England for their first ICC trophy like they have only one FIFA soccer World cup which is also controversial.

And Stokes this unsporting tactic bring him from hero to zero for me even most of the part is going with empire decision but still he is also guilty party in this case. But, as of now both finalist are in the worst form in ODI format and need some good form and quality for having better results in coming day specially England which is already lost series against India and now having terrible time against Proteas.

I also think that Pakistan is a very strong team, as Pakistan has a strong batting team, I think they are a strong team in all aspects.  However, the Netherlands and the team are so bad that they play very well despite the number of players they have.  But Pakistan will have to struggle to lose the game. Should be a cakewalk for Pakistan. As I mentioned earlier, Netherlands has to deal with the handicap of so many of their regular players being unavailable. Players such as Roelof van der Merwe and Timm van der Gugten are busy with their county sides. And on the other hand, Pakistani bowlers always perform well while playing under European conditions. The younger Dutch batsmen will have a tough time in dealing Pakistani pacers such as Shaheeh Shah Afridi and Hasan Ali. At this point, Netherlands is at the bottom of the ICC Cricket World Cup Super League points table, with just 25 points from 16 matches.

There is no doubt Pakistan is one of the most entertaining team is cricket history with too many achievements and controversies around them but still achieving some good things with T-20 and ODI world cup and having good test records as well but as I am feeling ICC never give them good support and most of the time they are allowing teams like Bangladesh and Sri Lanka instead of Pakistan for having more cricket which is a big question mark and I never have good reply of this.

With most chances now Indian influence is also having big impact on ICC, so they are never allowing Pakistan to do as they deserve but good thing here attitude is still very positive, and they are fighting back into this with bang and good wins.

We definitely know Pakistan as a good team. As a very strong team, Pakistan is mixed among all.They have a lot of good volleying and good batting. Once upon a time hearing about Pakistan, unique groups were often disappointed.However, their victory against the Netherlands will not be too difficult.

Timing is the problem. In England the county championship is going on and the Netherlands is having a packed schedule at this time. So obviously a large number of their regular players are unavailable for the matches against top teams. And this resulted in heavy losses against teams such as England and West Indies. The cricket board is helpless in this case, as they don't have the funds to attract those players who prefer county cricket. And putting the emphasis on inexperienced younger players haven't worked so far for them.

The first match of the series between the West Indies and India is taking place now. West won the toss and decided to field. Many people thought that Virat Kohli would be given a chance in this series. But neither Rohit Sharma nor Virat Kohli are in the squad. Perhaps they have been rested from the ODI format. They may be trying to prepare themselves better for the T20 format.

I disagree. BCCI kept thinking in a similar manner for a long period due to which Kohli ultimately became a burden on the team which is why he needed the break in order to try and regain his form.

India's two openers Shubman Gill and Shikhar Dhawan are batting superbly. India did not lose any wicket even in 12 overs. And they managed to collect 87 runs. Shikhar Dhawan scored 33 runs off 36 balls and Shubman Gill scored 50 runs off 36 balls. If West Indies fails to take 2/3 of India's wickets before 20 overs then India will set a target of more than 350 in this match.

I saw that Bhumrah is also not in the squad. Both Jadeja and Bhumra were needed in the squad. These two players have been performing very well in recent times. India's bowling line-up is a bit weak today.
However, Shubman Gill is out. He returned to Sajghar after collecting 64 runs. India managed to collect 121 runs in 18.3 overs. And their run rate is now 6.48. Indian batsmen are batting quite well.

England vs South Africa second ODI match called off due to rain.England scored 53 runs in 6.5 balls for the loss of 2 wickets.They conceded 29 overs of the 40 overs due to rain. Of course, England is better It should be played almost like a T20 game.South Africa will have to bowl well with such preparations and perform well to achieve their target.

India is batting really well against West Indies in the first ODI. By the looks of it, I don’t think West Indies is going to be able to beat India in the first ODI. This was expected to some extent. It was sad to see Shikhar Dhawan missing his century. But India is holding on quite tightly in this match.

I also agree that Virat Kohli has become a burden for the Indian team right now. He is just carrying a big name with him and he is doing absolutely nothing to help the team. For me, Virat Kohli has not been a successful captain. But he had always been a talented performer. And when he cannot perform there is no need for him in the team. I am really surprised to see the selectors having so much faith in Virat Kohli that they are willing to give him another chance before the World Cup.

India started the innings well. They scored 127 runs in the first 20 overs. The run rate was over 6. But due to middle order failure, India mustered only 267 after 46 overs. I don't think India can give a target of more than 300 at the moment. They collected only 17 runs in the last 6 overs. I did not expect to see such bad batting from India's experienced batsmen.

India made 308 in the end. 45 runs came in the last 5 overs, with Jayden Seales and Romario Shepherd leaking plenty of runs. India did the right thing by dropping Kohli. Some of the youngsters made use of the opportunity, especially Shreyas Iyer and Shubman Gill. And I need to say that Shikhar Dhawan as the captain looks more capable when compared to either KL Rahul or Rohit Sharma. Now it is the turn of the Indian bowlers. I have doubt only on the margin of victory for India. West Indies stand no chance in this match.

India is not playing their best team in this series as everyone is rested and India really failed to capitalize on the great start they had and at one point i thought they would score well over 350 runs but would end up scoring 308 runs and West Indies was able to pick wickets at regular intervals. After watching the Bangladesh series i am not expecting any surprises from West Indies chasing the score but with second string bowling attack who knows what would happen.
