The first ODI match between England and India will be played today. I am so excited to enjoy this match. Because in the Test format we have seen the extraordinary performance of England. But they played badly in the T20, as important players like Bairstow and Stokes were not present in the squad. But players like Root, Bairstow and Stokes will perform in ODI format. And so it will be more difficult for India to win the ODI match now. But I am worried enough that, will Kohli get a chance to be in the squad for this match?

@onecall123 Bumrah has ripped apart the England batting lineup, and now it’s up to Buttler to play a heroic innings otherwise England will suffer an humiliating defeat. Furthermore Kohli misses out due to an injury and I feel that’s it’s a blessing in disguise for him as he’s going through a lean patch, but I’m also hoping that he’s back for the second ODI.

It is not about the money. IPL brought huge amounts of profits to the BCCI (TV rights alone amounts to $1.2 billion per year). Sponsors are lining up, and we can expect that the WIPL will also be very profitable for the BCCI. But the concern from the BCCI guys is that WIPL can poach some viewership away from the IPL (some sponsors as well). And that is one of the reasons why they don't want WIPL to happen at the same time as the IPL (unlike the case with WBBL and WCPL). And from what I heard, almost all of the IPL franchises are also opposed to the WIPL (apart from MUmbai Indians, who have supported the proposal for WIPL).

For some reason when it comes to you talking about BCCI I just cannot believe that it is not about the money. Honestly, it is always going to be about the money regardless of which board is involved. But in recent times things seem to be progressing well. There is a legitimate concern that this tournament will pull some viewers away from the IPL. If that does end up happening it is going to be quite a hit to take for the BCCI. I don't think they want to take that at all.

But I don't agree that is the main reason why they are not interested in hosting the women's IPL tournament. I think the biggest issue is that they think this tournament is not going to generate the revenue that they expect it to.

The ongoing ODI match between India and England seems like a T-20 match at the moment primarily thanks to the Indian bowlers ripping apart the English batting line-up.

So many English players got out in single digits in a 50 over match which is embarassing.

Bumrah was phenomenal while Shami was great too and India looks set to obliterate them thanks to Rohit going berserk while Dhawan is supporting him on the other end. One sided match basically.

This is indeed a struggling situation for England today. Who would have expected that they would score only 110 runs in a 50 overs match?
Easy win for India today as they bowled out England in just 25 overs.

Jasprit Bumrah took 6 wickets in the match and I am sure he will be the match of the match.

It should be easy for them, but if they lose another wicket or two within the next couple of overs, then the situation will get tricky. New Zealand probably don't care. They are in a comfortable position as far as the Super League Points Table is concerned. It is Ireland that is desperate for a win. But then, the Irish need to realize that they can't win matches against strong teams if they field horribly and be inconsistent.

India won a crucial toss and the bowlers showed why they are world class opening bowling partners and they ripped out the England batting lineup and it was an easy chase for India and i doubt England board will be making pitches like this for the rest of the series.

Even in the last match, if not for the innings from Michael Bracewell who took the team home in the last over and he played the important innings tonight as well, the rest of the players are struggling to build partnership which should be worrying for them.

New Zealand is having a hard time winning against Ireland. Now I don’t understand if Ireland’s players are suddenly performing unprecedentedly well or New Zealand is playing poorly. New Zealand won both matches for Bracewell's performance. If we don't improve their performance, we will not see any good gameplay from the New Zealand players in the next World Cup.

New Zealand did win the match in the end but it was a bit too close for comfort. In the end, Michael Bracewell played well for New Zealand and led them to victory. It could have been really problematic for New Zealand if they actually lost this match against Ireland. It would have been very surprising if the New Zealand team had lost to Ireland, given that they are in such a comfort zone. However, I have to say in the end they did well, and looking at the scoreboard, it looks like a comfortable win for them.

Bangladesh vs. WI

WI will bat first following the first ODI between WI and BAN. There will be 41 overs played due to rain interrupting the game initially. Due to their good history in ODI format, they are hoping to win this series after losing both Tests and T20Is. Let's hope it won't be an easy win for either team.

Bangladesh choose the field after winning the toss. Shai Hope was bowled by Mustafizur Rahman on very first ball he faced. Its very hard to predict anything so early but seeing the performance of Bangladesh in test and T20I its very evident that Bangladesh will lose that too.

Looking at the Tests and T20 series, you can never guess that Bangladesh will play badly in ODIs. I think Bangladesh will play much better in the ODI series against West Indies and will win.  The game was given up in 41 overs due to rain. Where West Indies lost 9 wickets and scored 149 runs.  Winning by 149 runs will not be too complicated for Bangladesh. With a little attention, they will be able to win the first match of today's ODI

Bangladesh played very badly in T20 but did very well in ODI. Bangladesh is very perfect for playing ODIs.I don't think they understand the situation on the field well in T20.We got proof of that in the ODI match.

Spectators must be feeling that they got scammed. This was supposed to be 8 hours long match and both teams wrapped up everything with in 4 hours, fans didn't even witnessed 50 overs in this match, well at least Oval administrators saved few bucks on Lights.

Kookaburra white ball is doing tons of tricks in comparison to Duke Red ball and that too in England. Never thought that i would witness this.

I didn't watched it either and only watched highlights. Funny thing i noticed in highlights was, that they had to show reply 2-3 times just to make 15 mins clip.

So far this white ball series is one side affair but we still have 2 more games to go so Poms could bounce back in next matches, i hope they do as no one wants to watch loop sided fixtures and it's not good for these bilateral series as well.

New Zealand squad is missing most of their main players, including Jamieson, Boult, Williamson, Conway and Daryl Mitchell. On the other hand, Ireland had a full strength side and they were playing at home. Despite all this, if Ireland couldn't win even one match, then what we need to make out of it? Quality of Irish cricket has gone down the drain ever since players such as Kevin O'Brien and William Porterfield retired. Only Paul Stirling is there with international quality. Harry Tector is showcasing his skills and improving, but he has a long way to go. The less talked about the remaining players, that better.

After losing test match, India is having amazing time in England first in T20 series and now in first ODI they completely out class England in all departments what a bowling by Bumrah he completely ruined English batting lineup, and they have no answers about his bowling 29 for 5 really shocking for me but at the end India won this match very easily by 10 wickets mean it's testing time for home side with the worst things happening before T20 world cup, and then we have ODI world cup in India with this performance I am feeling they are already out of these mega events because they are far behind in all departments.

They are doing some big changes in all formats, but these are not working for them even it's just start but still need long time for having positive results playing against India is not easy but losing matches like this is more worst thing.

I have been watching Ireland in last few matches, and they are giving tough challenge to teams like India and New Zealand which is amazing fighting spirit from them because this is key for their bright future in today match again they have done amazing job even target for not good enough, but they still fight till end and Bracewell again man of the match for New Zealand as he finishes another tough challenger match and give Ireland think about their fielding which is having big impact in this match for their lost.

Here we also have to talk about New Zealand which is badly going down and having not enough time for settling problems with in team because this can give them more poor results in coming matches and specially in T20 World Cup.

I have been watching Ireland in last few matches, and they are giving tough challenge to teams like India and New Zealand which is amazing fighting spirit from them because this is key for their bright future in today match again they have done amazing job even target for not good enough, but they still fight till end and Bracewell again man of the match for New Zealand as he finishes another tough challenger match and give Ireland think about their fielding which is having big impact in this match for their lost.

Ireland is handicapped by the fact that some of the most promising players have moved to England, to play county cricket. And this is not just the issue faced by Ireland, but also by Netherlands and Scotland. Their best players move to England, leaving these teams to field a second string side while playing against tough opponents. In the end, their performance goes down and this argument is further used to deny chances to them. Imagine how good Ireland would have performed, had Eoin Morgan, Ed Joyce and Boyd Rankin played for them during their peak years.
