And as per target, all doses of vaccines should be made before players can clear to play so it will take at least a month.

That's the unexpected news that we're waiting for. A cut to their salary, they have no choice but just to embrace it and that's better on their side rather than receiving nothing.
It's just a temporary rule and when things go back to normal, they're going to receive their salary again in full.

They should take it to show compassion with the sport that they've love, and yes it's better than nothing. Those players already earned a lot from the first time they've step inside this league.

Just showing the desire to continue playing  even they've only getting lesser payment during this pandemic, it's justifiable as the league itself are also suffering.

They can only get some money from commercials aside from that they've got nothing.

Everybody is affected and that's understandable, the cut is necessary for them to cover the losses and to keep running. As said, that's no problem at all and just a temporary measure which shall go back to normal soon if things are quite back to normal.

Their study cases should prove it soon that it's possible and necessary but they all have to agree that it should be done but nevertheless, as long as they're back whether with one or two seasons, I'm good with that.

Still waiting if there's good development regarding to this pandemic issue, no clear announcement yet. If in case that the original plan will proceed having 2 conferences still possible, though it might same a like with bubble setup with more games each weeks.

league organizers might considering this and for sure they will chase those vaccines first for the safety of all concern people around, with vaccinated people it will lessen the chance of spreading if not completely contained.
Hope for the best as it is the only thing that fans can do for now.

We can only estimate once PBA already secured doses of vaccines. Vaccines have several sessions, one dose as initial and another weeks for another. AstraZeneca and CoronaVac which are only the available vaccine in the country need at least 2-3 weeks to complete a whole dosage.

I'm not expecting a second conference looking at the period where PBA should meet the requirements before they can start a league. 2 conference is only possible if they will not wait for a vaccine or if they will cut the games at each conference, or makes some rush like what happens in a bubble where games over games and some are triple headers.

We never know, but as what @harizen had said, it will take 3 months per conference so we can start in June and will end in December. We can dedicate next month for the vaccination process then PBA will be fully prepared to start the following month.

Agree with you. The whole month of May can be dedicated for the vaccination process. But that will only possible if PBA can make a purchase at the start of May. But I think there's a negotiation already about it but not just disclosing it to the public as purchasing vaccines today needs a patience because of the demand.

June is the least they can start as long as there will be no another problem on the way like a sudden increase of confirmed cases, vaccines delay and many more.

Nevertheless, seeing the league planning like this is already a good sign that they really want to give entertainment to the fans.

Hopefully the plans will push through, vaccine was emphasized that it's really necessary to ensure that family of the players gets the vaccine also so the PBA plan will not be ruined, you know, when one of the family member of the PBA player get's infected, it will have a big effect.

Just remember when they detected that there is a case inside the bubble. IIRC it was a referee or a player I can't remember but the fact is there is a case inside the PBA bubble last year. That case alone almost postponed the season that time but luckily it isn't. Vaccines before the conference start is a must in order for the conference to be a success.

They just want to start a the reason, that's it, they didn't see it coming that new restrictions will be impose so suddenly a change of plan was made. Bubble or regular set up, let's leave that up to them, they know what they are doing, even if its costly, as long as the new season will start, that would already satsify us.

So to be specific, he is just asking 300k per month, that's over 50% of the max capped for Rookie. I guess he its his right to ask for a higher salary, he is good and he knows he is capable of helping the team, but the final say still up to the TNT managemnet as it could also ruined the morale of the existing players if they will give them as a special treatment.

This guy is a bit okay, Ray Parks is worst as his asking is 1 million per month.

It was discussed before here. Around Php65M so @chaser15 lacks Php5M on his post haha but almost accurate. It was Coach Yeng that instead of bubble, spend that amount on vaccines as it much cheaper.

Wow that something to think off, if they are going to proceed and start the league with another bubble setup then they should begin
no need for any delays.

They've done this before and even without the vaccines just need a much strict implementations of every rules inside the venue.

We will see, the sooner the better if they are planning to execute and start this conference.

These kids nowadays are so ambitious, they think they can dictate the team by not following the rules? well, MVP has something to say, it's a no for him.

why not just focus on the bonuses rather than the salary, that way they can justify their demand if they have good result.

He's not a kid anymore. He's 28. I'm expecting him to be matured. Maybe he thinks as a former NBA D league, he can demand what he wants. And you are right, those things should be confidential but why bring it to the media. To pressure the management? It won't work as whatever he is, he's still a rookie.

MVP is not that dumb not to take care of him if he will show great performance and being a good contributor to the team. He just need to show what he got.

2 reasons why he is asking a salary higher than the usual rookie's max salary.
1. With TNT doesn't have a reliable guard as of this moment since Parks is gone for the year, he is very confident enough to fill Parks is doing in TNT. Castro?? Yes he is also a reliable PG but the team needs a more reliable PG.
2. Like I said in the first one Williams is confident enough thus, he is asking a higher salary than the usual.

TBH, I don't think that there is something wrong with a rookie asking for a higher salary since in the end it will depend on the team management if they will give it or not. One thing more is I don't think that it is right to tell a professional player a kid just because of this. Attitude problem?? I rather call this "his confidence is at a next level" .

Anyway, the TNT team might gamble with him and try to give him the salary he wants too. Now if he doesn't work with the team then either lower his salary or just trade him right away.
On the other hand though, I believe in the fact that this player doesn't prove anything and also take note that MPBL and PBA are completely different leagues. Well, lets just wait for the decision of the team management of TNT regarding this.
