GCQ with heightened restrictions for NCR+ bubble

As expected, MECQ will be lifted and NCR+ Bubble will now again in GCQ status.

What to expect regarding the league's plan? Here's my own view:

*No need to undergo training outside Metro Manila or GCQ areas (less cost)
*An increase of limited capacity allowed in the practice (more players can now practice at the same time)
*If the situation got better and a possible MGCQ next month, we might see a non-bubble setup wherein few audiences are allowed (less cost and slowly getting back to the usual environment of PBA where player's morale will gain back compare to a stressful bubble setup).

MECQ on the Bubble Plus is until tomorrow Friday, May 14. I think even if it will lift up or not, PBA will still follow the plan of opening in June or July.

The announcement was made and again the NCR bubble plus will be undergoing a GCQ with high restrictions. I don't know what are those restrictions but let's wait this morning as they'll classify what does that means. Although they may say that it's too early to celebrate but things are becoming better and we're like this. We want to see the betterment of the situation and if there is a team that has already announced their training, for sure we're going to see some news that the others will also have themselves followed. This means that the meeting with IATF is a success. Congratulations to the negotiating team of PBA and its management.

There's no other popular sports league in the Philippines, so we have no choice but to like the PBA. They really are going to come back and some teams are already going out of town for their very own training sites. I don't see that the bubble becomes a hindrance for the players to give their 100%. There's no option that they have to choose if they cannot give their 100% on it. Because if they love playing and it's their career, they should be happy and grateful that there's already a setup that's going to make them back again in action. CJ Perez will just be another guy and point production from him is not much needed as he will slide to a role player, not a go to guy anymore as they have Junemar.

The addition of Perez into their roster is really big knowing that they only traded some bench players and James Laput (what they got in the last draft which is a part of the trade deal) and TBH, they don't need Laput since they got JMF and Mo already but TerraFirma needs him.

If Fajardo will come back this season 100% healthy then we will see a big rivalry between these sister teams (BGSM and SMB). Perez will be a role player for now but he will be the face of the team in the future when Ross, Lassiter or Cabagnot chooses to be a bench player few years for now. I believe that him and Romeo will be the one who will carry the team alongside JMF.

I think his journey in the PBA is quite successful already.

All of his success is within the SMB team only, he is lucky that he has played in a good team with JMF being the consistent MVP. He is not a starter but with his experience, he was able to help the SMB to win, without a supporting player like him, a team would not succeed so he is also a big part. At age 36 and in the tough situation where we are at now, maybe he realizes that it's time to retire and focus on his life after PBA.
