This is a good sign on PBA as they will back again in business. I'm against bubble setup as some players can't give their 100% performance on every game affecting our future bets but if there's no choice, then no choice for me too but to adjust. Don't want to see some teams again not taking seriously the competition like Coach Yeng Guiao did last season although I understand him on that part.
They really are going to come back and some teams are already going out of town for their very own training sites. I don't see that the bubble becomes a hindrance for the players to give their 100%. There's no option that they have to choose if they cannot give their 100% on it. Because if they love playing and it's their career, they should be happy and grateful that there's already a setup that's going to make them back again in action. It's not the leagues problem or the fans problem if they cannot put their 100% just because of the setup. Practically right! it's their obligations to bring it up and showcase their talents in whatever set up the league provided to them, players are in need to bring back that talents to their fans who keeps on supporting them. I don't see any problem aside from more games during the bubble set up, but with the game itself, players should be more responsible. They owe the money from the owners and fans, better to bring back the favor by showing their best as always.. I also don't see that just because of the bubble setup it will affect their performances. Well, probably for some of the players, they're depending on the cheer of the crowd but that's no reason because all of them are professionals and they've all started even without the cheering of the crowd. We've just got another news that Meralco is already in practice after the news that they're the first team to have a scrimmage on Laoag. I think his journey in the PBA is quite successful already. He started playing in the year 2006, so that's 15 years in PBA and he also won 4 championships in his career. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jay-R_ReyesThe old guys are leaving to give that opportunity to the young guns, hopefully, this will open a slot for the young players. All of his success is within the SMB team only, he is lucky that he has played in a good team with JMF being the consistent MVP. He is not a starter but with his experience, he was able to help the SMB to win, without a supporting player like him, a team would not succeed so he is also a big part. At age 36 and in the tough situation where we are at now, maybe he realizes that it's time to retire and focus on his life after PBA. He got lots of injuries and he's speed is no longer there, I like him as one of those supporting cast who can give quality minutes while JMF is resting. Giving enough time he also produce good numbers, same with Yancee De Ocampo they gave Fajardo enough rest as they are both good back up when SMB needed them. Time for Reyes to step out since there are many new kids who can substitute for him, younger that can move more faster than him.

Knowing that PBA is already finishing the schedules they maybe just waiting for the right timing, Since we already back with GCQ setup is there any possiblities that it will also be adjusted? maybe much lighter settings though anything still possible as the virus still ain't clear and the chance to infect players and those who works around them are still prone. Waiting for the final announcement and what would be the best options for the league begin with.

The announcement from other teams hasn't been said but for sure most of them got already their plan and if they're already on their respective training places and courts, they're going to have it announced or much better if they don't so that the fans won't come and see them and make everyone in safety to avoid closure and contacts from unauthorized people inside their training camps. About the adjustments, we have to wait no matter what will be the announcement soon, it will come and we just have to be more patient and they'll come right then.

Yes, because for the first time, I believe that SMB will have a tough season even with Fajardo back in the lineup. Ginebra is stronger now, and Magnalia as well. I believe either of the teams I've mentioned will win the PBA All Filipino Finals.

Agree to that, it's no longer the domination of the Beermen the upgrade of this two other franchise of SMB corp. will give them a hard time. Last bubble champ BGSM added CStand giving them a two tower with speed and skills, while Magnolia added Abueva who can provide them additional boost as the way he played this game. though it's not that this 3 teams alone there's also the Pangilinan groups and the rest of the franchises that will compete with them.

We did not see C. Stand and Abueva played with their respective now in the last bubble, but it was Abueva who really help the Phoenix Fuel Masters to reach the semi Finals IIRC and to think it was his comeback after a long suspension, you can tell that he really has the talent and he is something special. On the other hand, C. Stand and his team had a back season last bubble, but hopefully he will have a good one under his new team.

We want other teams to be stronger. SMB fan here but I want other teams to be more competitive too especially in this All Filipino Cup so that it will not be too boring to watch. Like all of us here, I'm also excited to watch PBA. On the other hand though, SMC teams got stronger but did MVP teams got stronger too and can they compete with the SMC teams with their current rosters?? Hmmm.

With the arrival of coach Chot Reyes, TNT for sure will improved this coming season and i think this gonna be the start of rebuilding on this team. Whatever the shortcomings after the season i think they will focus on that one to improve. On the other hand, SMC teams, specifically the Ginebra Kings will not be the automatic champion with the arrival of CStand. Remember when he was drafted by SMB, all of us thought that other teams were only competing for the second place as majority of us think that SMB is the automatic champion as the Fajardo-Standhardinger tandem is so strong on paper but it did not convert on the court.

Yeah right. The situation is becoming good today. I hope that there won't be another surge so that all of the appointments and scheduled dates will be followed. All the efforts that have been made by our government and front liners are already showing the results of it. PBA is about to be back and there have been commitments already and hopefully, by the month of June, we're going to be back in a better quarantine classification which is going to be MGCQ. And just like in NBA, things have been good for the court sides and audiences/fans that want to see live action but if it's a bubble setup, then that's also fine as long they're back. I'm just excited to express that there will be for sure fans that want to get on the court and watch the games live for we have to wait until the time comes again.

When PBA started in a bubble last year, new cases are playing only around 1,000 - 2,000 per day.
Right now, there's an improvement as from around 8,000 - 9,000 daily cases during the return of Manila to ECQ and MECQ, daily cases are now playing at 4,000-5,000. But that was because of the recent quarantine status and today that people are now comfortable again, it's expected that the cases will be higher again than usual after a week or two.
We just hope that there's no Part 3 as it will have an effect again on the PBA timeline.

When Coach Chot is on the TNT back in the years, the team is just simply unstoppable. I like how he is coaching his players both in TNT and in Gilas when he is still a coach so overall, we can say that TNT had some improvements too with their coach. I just hope that Williams can fulfill what Ray Parks left in the team. With Ginebra getting CStand, they hype towards them increased and many speculated immediately that they will be winning the championship this season (including me at first but not now). The ball is round. If you are speculating this early that they will win the championship, just remember the Kobe-Nash-Dwight trio in Lakers or the Russ-PG-Melo in Thunder. They didn't worked that good. Tt might happen too with Ginebra but on the other hand, they have a good and experienced coach too in Coach Tim Cone. Lets just wait for the season to start and lets enjoy every game

His record speaks of itself. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chot_Reyes8× PBA champion (1993 All-Filipino, 1994 Commissioner's, 2002 All-Filipino, 2003 Reinforced, 2009 Philippine, 2011 Philippine, 2011 Commissioner's, 2012 Philippine) 5× PBA Coach of the Year (1993, 2002, 2003, 2009, 2011) 7× PBA All-Star Game Head Coach (1994, 2009, 2011, 2013, 2014, 2017, 2018) 5x coach of the year, that's big, I don't know if its all TNT but winning that award is a huge achievement as a coach.

Jericho Cruz is a full-bloodied Filipino but he has three nationality which is Filipino, Guamanian and Northern Mariana Islander. This only means that he can play on these three countries wherever his services is needed. He did not play in the Philippines as we have a lot of guards in our country while in Guam, his talent is much needed there as they lack players as basketball is not popular in Guam. He is not an import or a naturalized player but played as a local.

I think he is a full-blooded Filipino so he would not be there to represent the county, maybe they plan to make him a naturalized player? Jericho Cruz is a full-bloodied Filipino but he has three nationality which is Filipino, Guamanian and Northern Mariana Islander. This only means that he can play on these three countries wherever his services is needed. He did not play in the Philippines as we have a lot of guards in our country while in Guam, his talent is much needed there as they lack players as basketball is not popular in Guam. He is not an import or a naturalized player but played as a local. Thanks for this heads up, I don't have any idea about his nationalities but I also love him playing, he's athleticism brings boost to his team each time he played inside the court. Even though he's going to play for Guam national team it's still nice to know that PBA fans will able to see him bringing the type of the game that he learned from our country. Hope to see him bringing the same level of game the way he play it when he's playing with his NLEX family. Good Luck J. Cruz!
