AFAIK, there's also another league for which some players from PBA that haven't taken the spotlight are playing there. I forgot the name of the league, it's also in our country.
Is that Philippine Basketball League - PBL? Most of the players there are draftees to PBA. I think only a few players reverted from PBA to PBL. Anyways, the league is already disbanded for a decade now. That's not it mate, if I read the name of the league, I'll remember it but that's not the PBL. I'm not actually watching MPBL but because of Marc, I might be following a few games not only from him though. It's really good to see someone out from retirement goes back.
MPBL is more entertaining to watch compared to PBA. Don't get me wrong. I follow MPBL since then as the physicality there is more entertaining to see compared to the PBA where it's now switching to NBA soft call. The audience impact also plays a big role. It's a good thing that the entry fee in most cases is free that's why the venue is always at full capacity. MPBL is the newer version of the former league, MBA. It's expensive to host that kind of setup but MPBL was able to manage it. Thanks to its founder, Manny Pacquiao. I didn't know about that but I'll really start to watch it soon and it's good to see that there are other leagues in the country that are thriving. PBA is still dominant though but we might start to see their drop once they don't maintain their status. Also see this news and its not a shock to me since many athletes are coming back from their retirement so basketball here in our country are also belong to that. Its a good decision for Pingris for sure and probably he misses playing on court with his favorite sports, let’s see if Nueva Ecija will become more competitive after Marc joining this team. Seriously, MPBL are getting more serious year after year. I'm not actually watching MPBL but because of Marc, I might be following a few games not only from him though. It's really good to see someone out from retirement goes back. It's not just about the offer but also about the love of the game. Well, we see players going from the league after league. AFAIK, there's also another league for which some players from PBA that haven't taken the spotlight are playing there. I forgot the name of the league, it's also in our country. Not sure if that MBA or PBA D-League, I saw from one of social media site that it's not just Pingris that will play for Nueva Ecija, Peter Simon will also joining him. The caption of that post said " Isa na lang kulang" which very easy to identify. But if I'm not mistaken, James Yap still have one more season before he will retire his Jersey. It's interesting, JayJay helterbrand after playing with PBA veterans exhibition game decide to comeback and play with MPBL.. maybe more PBA star will be joining this league. Neither mate, I really can't remember the name but once I've read it again, I'll be sure to remember it.

I don't know but I just love to watch basketball games that has a bit of physicality since it is how PBA started. There is physicality involved like how the NBA is back in the Jordan Era around 80-90's (correct me). There's a Facebook page I followed and they regularly stream live MPBL games. I forgot the name but that should be on my bookmark page. More physical games attract more viewers' that's why MPBL user-based are growing. It's far from what happening in PBA where the league is now soft. No more physicality at the paint because expect a foul will be called. I have pointed on my recent post here that don't get me wrong. I'm still on PBA but watching MPBL, it's like the old days of PBA. I'm expecting I won't receive a response to that PBA is popular, PBA has famous players because that's not the point there. That's not it mate, if I read the name of the league, I'll remember it but that's not the PBL.
PBL, MBA is the only league I remember in the past. Enough of the MPBL as this thread is PBA.

I'm seeing MPBL too not as a competitor of PBA. It's good to see many more leagues giving chances to others to show their skills because not all can be drafted in the PBA. Mostly, draftees from PBA came from well-respected schools and there are good players everywhere that can't afford to study at these schools. Lucky if a player will be scouted and can get directly to PBA but chances are small. Here in our place, MPBL is the talk of the town too. I don't know other players there yet but like everyone here is saying the physicality is one of the reasons why it catches basketball fanatics in the country. It's not that people want a physical game even it's a clear foul but unlike PBA, most calls here are legit physical contact. There's a clear physical foul before the call will be called.

So you are saying that PBA is rigged and MPBL is not? Well, some people believe that PBA is rigged, they believe that some games are "LUTO", but haven't heard a lot from MPBL because this is not really as popular as the PBA, but maybe in the future if they'll keep competing, they'll become a major competitor of the PBA.

To my fellow gamblers here... who are following the MPBL? Maybe you can make a thread on this particular league so we can find more information about the game and the news. Anyone, please don't hesitate since MPBL is getting more popular now.

If that's the case we can easily create such thread on our local section, to discuss more about MPBL. I think this is already enough thread to discuss basketball bets, since MPBL is still not consider as the main league in our country but for sure, soon it will become more active and will replace PBA on top I believe on this, hopefully they will not get involve on dirty politics as well.

Also, maybe we can request the gambling sites here to add MPBL on their site so it will gain more popularity.

This can be a good one to have such thread since we are also talking about MPBL here and not just PBA, maybe its good to have a thread that will specifically discussed MPBL but honestly I don't know the players on MPBL not unless they came from a well known surname. Anyway, this could be a great exposure on international gambling site, try to create one now since there's nothing wrong to talk more about basketball.

I might not familiar with other players but knowing a city playing on a league is already a good one, hopefully more cities will join in the coming years.

No evidence no case They can easily act on that thru suspension but since there’s big money involve in PBA they can’t just do this and they have to go on process but I comment MPBL committee for acting that fast and a proof that they really care about their reputation and they didn’t tolerate such bad practice. There’s a lot of issues with PBA with regards to its management, this is a big problem because of too much politics in PBA.

No evidence no case That's clearly because most of the teams are owned by a few owners only if for example an SMC team is caught rigging games, I don't think the PBA will have a clean investigation of the SMC team does not want it. Sorry, but I feel like the officers of the PBA do not really have the freedom to do their job based on the actual implementing rules, their decision could be influenced by the big teams' owners.

Yes, this is better because those talented players that are not being picked and given a chance to play in the PBA, there are other leagues where they can show their skills and play with. It's just a matter of time until MPBL becomes popular and soon there will be some worries from PBA management that another local league is going to surpass them, despite being the oldest basketball league in Asia, they're not doing good anymore.

I have to agree with you. PBA is now a big politics and big teams are influential. It's like a debt of gratitude that since big teams are backing the PBA, they are somehow always being followed and being favored by the PBA tops (for example thru trades). It's different from what happens in MPBL where no one can dictate how the league should be run in favor of a specific team. FOR NOW and I hope it will maintain that kind of status. But to be clear, like I posted just a few posts before, please don't get me wrong. I'm just stating what I observed for following the league for long and it doesn't mean I prefer MPBL now compare to PBA.

I think let's wait for the league official resume so that there are now active bets to choose from. I follow the league, not just the league is now on the trend but because one of my friends there is playing at the Pasig Realtors (my hometown). The homecourt is also the venue of the former Pasig Blue Pirates in the MBA league (Metropolitan Basketball Association). Going back to crypto, I can't confirm if there's a crypto-site that listed MPBL games before.

Same here, but if there's a crypto site that would accept betting on MPBL that should be updated so we can put a bet. I believe 1xbit is one of the crypto sportsbooks that has a wide range of markets on sports, they probably have MPBL, however, their reputation is not good, so I don't suggest betting on this site.

Inside PBA, rumors are still circulating but until now there's no hard evidence that will point out the people behind. No evidence no case No evidence will be found if they will not conduct an investigation, unlike what Manny did with the MPBL, they really investigate it and made appropriate actions. This one also is related to PBA fixed game issue. https://mb.com.ph/2021/09/24/san-miguel-3x3-player-daniel-de-guzman-blacklisted-by-gab/

So, please quit yapping about it ladies and gentlemen, just saying Doesn't matter which of both party is good, as long as they serve the same purpose and that is to entertain viewers and display their skills in basketball industry. It's fine if there's a slight discussion about it. But okay, going back to the actual topic of PBA. Is this the guy that has sold their game to a bettor and they did the transaction through gcash? That's what I remember with the most recent rigging of their match.

Is this the guy that has sold their game to a bettor and they did the transaction through gcash? That's what I remember with the most recent rigging of their match. Yeah, that's him. It looks like he is guilty as we can see on the actions of the PBA imposed to him. here's another link about the story of his alleged involvement in game-fixing. De Guzman accuser to appear in game-fixing probe, says GAB\ THE Games and Amusements Board (GAB) is giving San Miguel 3x3 player Daniel de Guzman a chance to air his side even after snubbing a summon for a probe into his alleged involvement in game-fixing and gambling.
GAB chairman Baham Mitra assured due process will be given to de Guzman, who was asked to explain his side to the professional sports regulatory body after screenshots of his alleged conversation with a bettor became viral on social media.
Mitra also bared that the person who made the allegations against de Guzman in a post on Facebook will also be appearing before GAB officials for his side on the issue.
