Nice win, SMB managed to cover that handicap. CJ Perez lead SMB in scoring. He got 21 points and really help the team to take that edge.

While everyone really plays their roles and they win the game as a team, fair shared with all the stats a very nice effort

Yup, they are going to face the number one team in the elimination round which is the TNT Katropa.

Congrats also to NorthPort for playing a very good game, it was not a walk in the park for the Beermen and they give SMB one hell of a fight. If their roster remains the same and they got a quality import next conference then NorthPort is a team to beat soon.

IMO, this series between SMB and TNT is the championship series of the conference as whoever wins this one will be the eventual AFC champion  .

The winner of that series is hard to predict, but I would go with the SMB as they have proven many times that they can win and had a lot of championships playing together, I mean, the most important players are still here although they are getting older a bit.

That's a nice challenge though, but sorry I can't accept that as I also back the SMB to win in the semi-finals. I am not sure if there's someone here who would bet on the TNT to win, looks like all of us here are SMB fan and will support SMB all the way to win the championship.

Not going to bet against you, but I see that if there are people who are willing to bet against you, it will be nice to see this bet to proceed.

I'm with SMB especially now that they are complete and almost in good condition, though TNT is also healthy and with the guidance of coach Chot the chance of winning is always there, the moral of each player is high because of coach Chot system.

It's nice to see if this series will be decided on a do or die game. Long series means more chance to bet and enjoy each game that

Now, it's official that Ginebra is out for the contention for the PBA AFC and I do think that heads will roll on this and chances are high that CStand would play overseas again once his contract expires this December.

There are offers already for CStand from overseas. Now that Ginebra is eliminated early, lots of times now for CStand to think of his future. For me, he better pursues that offer from overseas. He can always come back to PBA. I think there will be no next conference after the AFC and the next conference will be next year now with another AFC as the beginning. The preparation is limited for the next conference because of the continuous delay of games and imports will surely have a hard time before being allowed to play here.

If CStand, wants security for the rest of his Basketball stint. He'll be wise enough to stay and play for Ginebra. Though he's still young and there are lots of opportunities, starting with the offers overseas. I'd say grab this opportunity as long as it's still available, PBA will still be there and pretty sure there are teams that would still take him especially the SMBs team.

He can do that if he wants to stay, besides, it's not him who is the problem but the way Coach Tim Cone manage the team this season. CJ is a very commendable player, he's also the one that I looked up because he's not just a good player but having that attitude admires me of him as a player.
That's true about the circulation whether in defense or offense, they don't have to worry under the ring and there's him that they can trust on that position. But it's still that the ball is circle and we'll see what happens with their upcoming matches.

TNT has the chance to beat the SMB now because they have improved a lot this time, and with a new coach, probably a strategy to beat the SMB is already in the plan. I don't think they will be the heavy favorites in the series, I think a slight favorite only but IMO, the odds will change based on the result of game 1.
No betting odds for series here unlike the NBA, but if we do some betting, then probably that would work if you guys will agree.
