According to Militarymaps.info, the Ukrainian army has lost control over 95% of the Southern half of Donetsk oblast. Even some of the neighboring villages in the Zaporizhia oblast are under the threat of capture by the rebels.
Oh, as opposed to "have civilians who are rebels and wish to secede?" When you say "captured by," it sounds like the rebels are imposing what they want on the villages who may not even be interested in this fight. Kind of like how Muslim extremist rebels tend to capture villages in the Middle East. If he is regular West-Ukrainian living in Ukraine, then he might just be brainwashed by the media there. I watched a selection Ukrainian TV for an hour, and, well, Goebbels is an innocent child by comparison. What is happening in MSM in Ukraine can be describes as a full-scale social-control experiment at a state level.
What makes you think that? What exactly makes you trust the media from other countries, more than the media of the country actually being attacked?

lol... the neo-Nazi leader Semen Semenchenko is whining again. Check his latest status: https://www.facebook.com/dostali.hvatitHe says that 5 volunteer battalions are currently trapped in Ilovaisk (other than his own Donbass battalion, these battalions are Dnepr, Svityaz, Kherson and Mirotvorets). Further claims that the Ukrainian government is deliberately not sending any reinforcement or aid to rescue them. Meanwhile, the infamous "Motorola" brigade of the Donetsk People's Army is currently cleaning up the remnants of the Ukrainian army in Ilovaisk.

Did they manage to feed any starving Ukrainians? I guess not.
Actually they did, why shouldn't they? It seems as obvious solution of problem with fuel, delivery of real humanitarian aid along with parallel fuel supplies. Nobody will be able to notice or proove anything. Idiots will spend all their time looking for non-existent weapons. Thank you for providing further evidence of the not-so-nice Russian mentality.
"Enemy of your enemy" as always, it's about logic only. When you have a problem with hostile state on your borders you need to find some kind of suitable solution... It's not about being "nice" or "bad guy".

It's not about being "nice" or "bad guy". And again, why would the Ukrainians be an a priori enemy of Russia? If it's about logic, then how did Ukraine manage to become an enemy? If you can't trust the news, how do you know that they are hostile?

Or people on the Internet accidentally providing anecdotal evidence that Russia is fuelling (no pun intended) both sides of the conflict?

What about this? Mothers of captured and killed Ukrainian soldiers picket a high ranking Ukrainian army general. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AWi0Daf228MUnlike the Russian army, most of those teenagers who were recently drafted in to the Ukrainian army joined it unwillingly. They were threatened with jail sentences if they refuse to serve in the army.

The more civilised countries have far greater difficulty in finding enough nationalist volunteers with more brawn than brain. It's obviously not a problem for Russia though.

Or did anyone expect that the convoy would have been sent in without cover, when West-Ukrainians make a sport of hunting on civilian buses and cars? Convoy protection is a standard practice in all hot spots.

More like sending the Ukrainian army on a wild goose chase, forcing them to protect the convoy from rebels who would gladly shoot at it just to give the Russians an excuse to invade. Putin: "Oh, look. Our humanitarian convoy was attacked by somebody. Time to send more assistance!"

ROFL dude i guess you didn't check this with your boss Putin because he thinks they were patrolling the border and just got lost P.S. it never fails to amaze me to which lengths kremlinbots will go to defend russia's side. army unit in a different country without acknowledgement and agreement of that country IS AN INVASION. this is pure definitions we're talking about. or do you think that if china will send chinese soldiers 100 after 100 into russia it will not be immediately thought of as an invasion? you can't be that stupid right?

You are just sad that the Ukrainians were too smart to take the bait, and the convoy was NOT shot at, despite the big show.
By the way, who shot down the Malaysian Airline?

Anyone who thinks that it is the Russian regular army that the Ukrainians are fighting, are deluded fools. If Putin was going to invade, he would blitzkrieg Ukraine and it would be over in less than 24 hours. Instead, you have an all-volunteer militia army that is comprised mostly of locals of Donbass, Donetsk, Lugansk with some international volunteers (there are some French battalion groups fighting with the rebels, among others) and some Russian volunteers. But they are just that - volunteers - they were not sent there with orders. To fight for the rebels is truly for a just cause. You are defending the citizens of Donbass against the enemy's genocidal shelling campaigns and against western imperialism. Meanwhile, the Ukraine Army is part forced conscripts, poorly trained who die quickly in battle. Part Ukraine Army reservists with a bit better training and experience. And part Right-wing volunteer groups such as Azov and Right Sector's battlegroups. The volunteer groups are more effective than the conscripts. And of course, you have foreign mercenaries of differing battleworthiness aiding the ukraine army. It is not surprising, really, that the side that fights with justice and thoughts of defending their homeland in their hearts are winning the war. They have more to lose than the other guy. In other news, 400 Ukraine Army soldiers recently deserted: https://translate.google.com/translate?sl=auto&tl=en&js=y&prev=_t&hl=en&ie=UTF-8&u=http%3A%2F%2Freporter-ua.com%2F2014%2F08%2F27%2Fcherez-blokpost-v-zaporozhe-pytalis-proehat-400-vooruzhennyh-soldat-pokinuvshih-pozicii-v&edit-text=So why doesn't Putin just invade and end this thing now? Well there are a few reasons from what I have gathered. 1. The West wants him to invade so they can beat the war drums and escalate this conflict further. Putin is too smart to take the bait. 2. Putin no longer needs to invade. The militia are winning the war on their own. 3. If Putin invaded there would almost certainly be calls for NATO intervention, further sanctions on Russia, futher overall escalation. 4. The West wants a war in Europe in their desperate attempt to keep the dollar propped up. By simply not invading and allowing the ukraine civil war to play out on it's own, Putin is both one-upping the West, and preventing a larger war and more overall death in the European theater. Brilliant.

Anyone who thinks that it is the Russian regular army that the Ukrainians are fighting, are deluded fools. If Putin was going to invade, he would blitzkrieg Ukraine and it would be over in less than 24 hours. And he would instantly lose the popular support that he has been building for years. Loss of support = loss of money. That's why he's never going to invade the old fashioned way until or unless the other side is provoked into making an even bigger provocation. Instead, you have an all-volunteer militia army that is comprised mostly of locals of Donbass, Donetsk, Lugansk with some international volunteers (there are some French battalion groups fighting with the rebels, among others) and some Russian volunteers. By the way, who shot down the Malaysian Airline?
A Ukrainiain MiG-29. http://linkis.com/themillenniumreport.com/Ay72WThe whole MH17 thing was one of the most obvious false flags ever. Not only did it coincide with strangely coordinated numerology, but there has been so much obvious evidence of a coverup that even the most hardened of conspiracy theory deniers would have to give pause. Also, there has been a secret agreement that all of the investigating countries have signed Non-Disclosures, so whatever the outcome of the investigation... it will never be made known publicly. http://www.washingtonsblog.com/2014/08/mh-17-investigation-secret-august-8th-agreement-seeps.htmlsnip: In other words: the official ‘investigation’ is being carried out by four nations that, as U.S. allies, are hostile toward Russia. One of those four nations, Ukraine, is not only a prime suspect in possibly having shot this airliner down, but is currently waging a hot war to ethnically-cleanse the pro-Russian population out of southeastern Ukraine; and the initial ‘news’ reports in Western ‘news’ media regarding the downing of MH-17 had said that this airliner was probably downed by the local rebels there, who were trying to shoot down the Ukrainian Government’s bombers that are constantly bombing them. Some Western ‘news’ reports even speculated that perhaps Russia itself had shot this airliner down. If the UNIAN news-report is correct, then there is no way that the ‘investigation’ will be able to be released to the public if it indicates that the Ukrainian Government (which, according to that news-report has veto power over the making-public of the study’s findings) is blamed for having shot the airliner down. Furthermore, satellite evidence showed that MH17 was shadowed by Ukrainian fighter jets so that cannot be denied. Also, the plane was ordered to lower from 35,000 feet to 33,000 feet by Ukraine air traffic control. And finally, all the Air Traffic control tapes were confiscated and have never been released. All of this is extremely suspicious and point to a coverup from the Ukraine authorities.

Russian Journalists Attacked on Fact-Seeking Assignment About UkraineSomebody does not seem to like journalists asking questions about the deaths of Russian paratroopers allegedly killed in eastern Ukraine. Russian journalists Vladimir Romensky from the independent Dozhd television channel and Ilya Vasyunin from the Russkaya Planeta news site said they were attacked, threatened and told to leave town when they arrived Tuesday at a cemetery in Russia's Pskov region where at least two of the paratroopers had been buried a day earlier. Other journalists reported similar incidents throughout the day. http://www.themoscowtimes.com/article/505973.html
