I read on the Spondoolie-tech site that you can set the SP10 on its side for optimal cooling. Does it matter which side you put it on? Since I don't have the hardware yet I can't tell is there is a better side to put it on or not.

Also, about the firmware. Is there an active firmware download area off the website or is the firmware update/upgrade all "auto-mated" through the UI?

Thanks.

Hi guys, i try order SP10, Spondoolies-Tech send me invoice : recipient send to Israel ,but banks branch is in Czech Republic, did you get same invoices ?Thanks

See here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=521520.msg6640432#msg6640432

How hard would it be for the lazy admin Thermos to create a "Search this thread only" feature? Also it amazes me that people are so careful about the bank thing even if SP-Tech is already known as a trust able company, but people had no problem in sending money to BFL who is run by a convicted felon for mail scamming and after failing so many times.

Therein lies the answer.

BFL has poisoned the well completely. In some respects that is a good thing if everyone has heard the news as that should make everyone much more "buyer beware" aware.

Just sending an email to sales should clear up your issues I think gyntas right? Just have to wait a day they are becoming more successful so response times will slow accordingly. They might need more gremlins to answer the emails now.

The firmware is easily updated with 2 clicks in the units´ web UI.

I haven´t really tried putting it on the side, i would recommend laying it down but using some sort of metal or gride as a floor it rests on.
While you don´t want the bottome on e.g. a wooden shelf, everything metal should be fine.

They are careful because it is a taxation issue, as everything gets controlled in EU.

Not really, i think he is careful as he doesn´t want his money to end up in some hackers`personal bank account in the Czech Republic.

Check this thread out.
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=515932.0;topicseen
And the kicker is this place gets FREE hosting. https://bitcointalk.org/donate.html
I can't find the thread, but if I could remember the last time I checked this forum was sitting on over a million dollars / USD worth of bitcoin. I don't care about that, but come on, at least update/upgrade the forum software with such a large resource pool there. With that kind of money (and they've had it a long time) software from scratch with the best programmers could have been written. Sorry, rambling.

How long to ship out you mean? It is shipped within a day or two. They are shipping from stock.

If you don´t trust the seller, get Escrow via OgNasty or another person.
Ebay selling fees of ~10% are just ridiculous.

I despise Ebay and Paypal.

Will Spoondoolies ever sell their power supplies by themselves? In case we want to get an extra/backup one? These aren't the kind you can easily grab at the store, that's why I'm asking.

Thanks.

You can get the "upgraded" 1250W version fairly cheap on ebay (used/refurbished).
New they are around 300-400$ so i don´t think you would just buy one to have it sitting around.

Take care though, there is a 5V and a 3.3V (support voltage for management board) version of it, and i don´t know which one it uses (i suggest 5V though).

Also, i don´t think your warranty will hold when you just switch the PSU without a reason.
Server grade PSUs have a lifetime of atleast 5 years, so i don´t think you will manage to get one broken within the lifespan of the sp10.

This was the whole point why I asked on the Spondoolies thread. I don't want to buy one on Ebay or a refurbished one. I'd like to get a brand new one as a backup to the one that will be running my current SP10. Trying to save a few dollars and jumping on Ebay is something I don't do. I'd rather go through Spondoolie since they know exactly which ones to use.

Yes, use a desktop PSU cable.

Simply plug it in and put myminer.io into your browser, the computer needs to be connected to the same network.

About people asking if they are legit.

I had one miner hosted that they shipped to me along with another one.

They shipped yesterday, I got it today and they are mining for 6 hours now.

So yes they are legit and have the best service!

Buy me a beer: 1mrdfyA1GhKmTPhaSkvyq5DBterQ5m7ZK

Run your own P2Pool with Ubuntu 16.04 LTS and merge mining

Hi all.
In the latest FW you have a new cool and useless feature:
If you type %i or %h in the pool user field in the webUI, the miner will replace it with the IP or Hostname respectively.
So, if you are using Eligeus for example, you set yourwallet_%i, and you see the hash breakdown rate in the pool by the IP, and if some miner gives you too little hash you can know who it is.

How cool is that?  Wink
