Look, when you spend shitloads of money on these things based upon firm promises of delivery (including, delivery of performance promised), you get really pissed.  

I spend a ton of money setting up a data center based upon spondoolies firm promise of certain efficiency, speed, quality.  they advertised with EXTREMELY high level of certainty they'd be different than the other guys.  

Suspending sales and making that announcement about compensation isn't a small thing.  It is a big thing based on a big shortcoming.  Even though they might move mountains to please customers, they can't create money from thin air.  They have surely spent everything getting this running.  They don't have money to give back.  

Spondoolies made the strongest promise of delivery imaginable.  Now, they are in trouble just like all those before them.  Even with their very good intentions, they appear to now have a serious miscalculation which will effect my operational plans.

Meh... I am good. Let the SPTech give us an update. Given that they are pretty much the most transparent team to build miners yet given they admitted the problem. Stop sales and are working to give a complete report the FUD as always is just a minor distraction. Should this drag on months or closer to a year then you could make comparisons. Nothing I can do as a customer but wait for a statement post test.

There is no way to determine the network total hashrate either than just looking at block generation speed and those 30PH might be just variance. Why would anyone bring online 30PH to just shut it down immediately? It makes no sense.

I strongly suspect the 30TH was caused by variance and by Bitmain manufacturing, testing, and shipping S3s. Keep in mind that S3s add to the network hashrate when they are being tested, but then get turned off for a couple of days while they are being shipped all around the world.
