china made it very clear how it began. they also reacted very quickly in tough circumstances of something new. the world knew about it within a month of patient zero first thinking he only had mild symptoms.
china are not over it. the isolation is not covid. the isolation is to reduce the amount of spread in any one time. china done more than most countries by reacting early. contact tracing those that came near people testing positive, full monitoring and isolation of contacts for 2 weeks. where not even shopping is allowed for these 'monitored' group. they would be provide with home delivery and daily monitoring of symptoms
this is why chinas numbers are low.

other countries that dont do contact monitoring will get higher numbers. countries that dont do isolation but just social distancing will get even higher numbers. and those that do nothing will get even higher numbers

but here is the thing the less thats done the more that suffer in a short time and the more strain on hospitals.
the more that is done, the less that suffer at first. but the longer the situation lasts within society. reaccuring in waves if not monitored to stem the surge if it starts to spread fast again


2) the other models were based on NON-ISOLATION scenarios. which obviously because the whole point of isolation is to slowdown the spread is done mainly to reduce the amount that get it. thus reduce the numbers that get sick

3) there is no policy for police to do this. and its not a nationwide or county based policy. its just some over achieving silly officers having a swinging dick contest trying to assert their masculinity and authority.

india is not wide testing,true. but also indias first case didnt happen at the same time as italy. so comparing it by numbers of same day are innaccurate. its better to look at italy's numbers from a month+ prior to get a slightly better comparison.

also the number of initial cases in italy was higher due to tourism and business transport between italy and china bringing higher numbers across in one go, where as india got it later and in less mass numbers upfront...
in short india is only just at the start of the curve

The 9th Amendment shows that we have all our rights that we had before the Constitution was put together. The problem with people who make appeals to authority is that they don't understand the concept of dual use. A hammer can build a house. A hammer can also collapse some one's skull. Funny, you talk about grey areas when you are literally making the argument that it has to be one or the other when it can clearly be both.
