What Nigeria played today the win this match based on lock and without the penalty I don't think that it would have at least call one go the players of Nigeria they would have scored one goal before the first half so that is why I don't believe in Nigeria football team and I cannot say that they did well in this month because they are supposed to score at least three goals I don't know for others prediction I will do this method of their playing team I don't think that Nigeria will make this game because it is over yours that what they are playing cannot take them to highest level

The competition is getting tougher and tougher and it will get more tense whenn we get to the knockout stage, semifinal and final because i believe only the strongest teams will survive that extent. Currently now it is still very open as some strong sides like Egypt and Ghana are still trying to find their feet in the competition and if care is not taken one of them will exit the tournament in the early stages.

The match between Egypt vs Ghana was the best match so far in the ongoing AFCON competition, the live up to expectations and it a very interesting and competitive match between the two big African countries it was very entertaining from the start to finish, the match is in sharp contrast with the earlier match between Nigeria vs Ivory coast which ended in favor of Nigeria unfortunately the two countries performances was average, Ghana defence was poor and prone to mistakes which resulted to their conceded goals, I think that the area where their manager should urgently fixed while the Egyptians are technically gifted.

Ghana showed good spirit in the first half and Egypt took a big knock when they lost Salah to injury. The loss of Salah really affected Egypt game plan and thus making them to lose focus. Salah is their star player and when he is not playing for the team it is obvious that it will show in their performance. If Salah completed the game Egypt would have stood a better chance of winning the game. It is really a disappointing tournament for Ghana so far.

The black stars of Ghana has always shown a good level of resilience when it comes to African football, they are yet to have a perfect chemistry and flow amongst their selves but they always have a way to keeping the number of goals they concede in a match at it's minimum as much as they can and same was see in the games last night, they have also shown same in their qualifications games before the main AFCON games, Egypt didn't perform bad either but the presence of their star Mohamed Salah sounds like a supposed threat to other teams who may not have a Star as such but with the black stars I didn't see any of such and it's great confidence for them.

Winning the host country by a goal was a fair performance for the super eagles, looking back at their first game against equatorial guinea they did perform in a way that we wouldn't expect they would be able to win the host , a penalty kick saved the day for the super eagles and now they are able to secure three points added with the one they had earlier summing to a four points.

The first group matches of the African Cup were very dull in terms of scores, but in the second matches, goals started to be scored.
Yesterday, the match between Equatorial Guinea and Guinea Bissau ended 4-2. The match between Ghana and Egypt ended 2-2.
The thing that caught my attention the most about this and the tournament is that the stadiums are small and there are very few spectators. It seems like the audience contribution is very little and the stadiums in Ivory Coast seem very small in terms of capacity to me.
If there will be such a tournament, shouldn't there be bigger stadiums?
The fact that Africa is a poor continent is also a big factor. It is held every two years, but it seems to me that it is not a cup that is very valuable in terms of prestige.

With what I've seen so far in the Afcon games,I can predict who will come out to be the best player of the tournament.I watched Nigeria vs Ivory coast play,a game which ended in favour of Nigeria,but I must say that I don't really enjoy it,it was not a smooth game as it was full of phisicality,but the game I really enjoyed was the Ghana vs Egypt,that game was really full of suspence because the both teams were aggressive and wanted to win,but one man I really enjoyed watching yesterday was WestHam's man called Kudus,he was exceptional,and I guess he was the man of the match.He played very well and i think he can go on to win the best player of the tournament if he continues to play like this in every match.

Finally, Ivory Coast was a better match for the Nigerians. It was a good challenge for both teams. One Ivorian player that was to me the top player was Fofana. The Ivorians were falling on the field with just a little touch. I say these guys need to Amala and Ewedu soup to stop them from falling anyhow on the pitch. I can now finally say that we have gotten a good goal keeper. I will confirm this in the next few matches. He made a couple of brilliant and fantastic saves. I am not happy with the lone goal that we had. We need more than a goal in our matches and above all we need more goals that doesn't come from a penalty.

Honestly, Ivory coast control the game but Nigeria was fortunate to have won with the help of a penalty. I found it ridiculous when people were praising super eagle yesterday after the unconvincing win. There's absolutely nothing super about the super eagle and Osimhen is just an overhype player. I'm not saying he's not a good player or a flop but the chances he is missing at those early stage of the game can have a very impact on the whole team and game if he's able to convert them successfully.

I know he help the team to secured the draw in our first match against Equatorial Guinea and also help to win penalty yesterday but he can do better please. The hyping is too much and I think it is what's bursting his head to play the way he likes wasting our chances. The man of the match given to him yesterday was not even deserving, Bassey or our captain deserve it more.

Both Ghanaians and Egyptians played a very beautiful game even if they finally ended up all squared up. They gave us a better standard, these are the kind of games I want to see. Although, I know countries like the Algerians and Moroccans do play well also.

If you want to judge with too many goals scored, then yesterday Equatorial Guninea and Guinea Bissau got to score six goals, with the name Emilio Nsus setting standards and a new record by scoring three good goals. He is now the record holder of being the oldest player with the hat trick in this competition. ( 34  aged )

I didn't watch the game, I saw the stat and I watched the replay. I'd say we're lucky to have won and I hope we really improve our performance.

The hamstring injury is a big blow to Egypt, Mo Salah has a commanding effect on the team as a captain and a marksman. Even if the pharaohs happen to make it through to the next round of the competition, I doubt if Mo Salah will be able to recover on time and be fit to play. As long as AFCON 2023 is concern, he's not going to be able to lead the attack, he'll be on the sideline, cheering his team.

Cape Verde has qualified for the next stage with six points already, Cape Verde are the first to ensure their spot at the knockout stages, Egypt is at risk because their next match with be against Cape Verde who have secured their ticket to the knockout stages, I don't think the will give Egypt a chance to qualify, Salah is injured now and is their best player, I will only put hope for Ghana to be the second to qualify because they are capable of winning Mozambique because Mozambique conceded more goals.

People were underrating Equatorial Guinea before the start of this competition in which they were considered a team that would be at the bottom of the table thinking they couldn't beat Nigeria, Ivory Coast, and Guinea Bissau, but Equatorial Guinea is now proving us wrong right from their first match against Nigeria, and now they are on top of the group A table with four points.

In this tournament, teams who people expect to perform less are the ones who are excelling. In the Equatorial Guinea vs Guinea game, the captain of the home side managed to net the first hat trick of the tournament and before the game began, I knew they were going to win by the way they disturbed Nigeria but I least expected that number of goals. For me, it's the highest number of goals yet in the tournament and I doubt they'd get this lucky when they meet Ivory coast in their next game.
