Cape Verde has qualified for the next stage with six points already, Cape Verde are the first to ensure their spot at the knockout stages, Egypt is at risk because their next match with be against Cape Verde who have secured their ticket to the knockout stages, I don't think the will give Egypt a chance to qualify, Salah is injured now and is their best player, I will only put hope for Ghana to be the second to qualify because they are capable of winning Mozambique because Mozambique conceded more goals.

Quite an interesting match though marked by two costly mistakes by the Mozambican firstly by their goalkeeper who couldn't stop Bebe long range shot which caught him helpless that is absolutely poor goalkeeping the second mistake was their defender who was dispossessed by Mendes da Graça who scored the second goal and the match ended 3-0 in favor of Cape Verde a country that nobody gave a chance of progressing to the round of 16 because they are a group that consist Ghana and Egypt, the country squad worked and up their game got rewarded consequently became the first country to qualify for the round of 16 even with a game in hand.

The match between Egypt and Ghana ended in 2:2 draw with Mohammed Kudus scoring a brace for the black stars of Ghana. Ghana really dominated this match but their defense was too porous thereby granting the Egyptians access to equalize the goal each time Ghana scores. This AFCON competition is really getting more tensed and tough as some stronger countries in the competition met each other today. Earlier today, Ivory Coast played against the super eagles of Nigeria and the match ended 0 - 1 in favour of Nigeria.

The match between Egypt vs Ghana was the best match so far in the ongoing AFCON competition, the live up to expectations and it a very interesting and competitive match between the two big African countries it was very entertaining from the start to finish, the match is in sharp contrast with the earlier match between Nigeria vs Ivory coast which ended in favor of Nigeria unfortunately the two countries performances was average, Ghana defence was poor and prone to mistakes which resulted to their conceded goals, I think that the area where their manager should urgently fixed while the Egyptians are technically gifted.

Normally in every competition the quality of the games will keep improving as these teams play more games. The game between Egypt and Ghana was entertaining and we saw quality football. Both teams left the match with one point each but Egypt has a better chance of qualifying because they now have two points. Ghana would have to pray that Egypt get a point or lose against Cape Verde and hope they win against Mozambique. Cape Verde has become the first team to qualify for the second round so they might not feature their beat in the game against Egypt because they are already the first in Group B regardless of the outcome of the games. Mozambique are already out of the competition with two losses but they might give Ghana a good fight because they might be playing for pride.

The game between Nigeria and Ivory Coast was less entertaining. Although the Super Eagles won the match they performed very poorly. The Ivorians created many chances but the Nigerian side was just fortunate to maximize the few chances they had. Kudos to the Nigerian goalkeeper for those uncommon saves during the match. Group A is very tight because Equatorial Guinea, Nigeria and Ivory Coast have almost the same opportunity to qualify for the next round.

With what I've seen so far in the Afcon games,I can predict who will come out to be the best player of the tournament.I watched Nigeria vs Ivory coast play,a game which ended in favour of Nigeria,but I must say that I don't really enjoy it,it was not a smooth game as it was full of phisicality,but the game I really enjoyed was the Ghana vs Egypt,that game was really full of suspence because the both teams were aggressive and wanted to win,but one man I really enjoyed watching yesterday was WestHam's man called Kudus,he was exceptional,and I guess he was the man of the match.He played very well and i think he can go on to win the best player of the tournament if he continues to play like this in every match.

Kudus was really razor sharp in that game. Something I feel like he is too good for Westham, hopefully he get a bigger club coming for him in the summer. If Ghana don't go out of the group stage and progress to the semi finalor final then I think kudus will win the player of the tournament if he maintain this standard of display against Egypt.

People were underrating Equatorial Guinea before the start of this competition in which they were considered a team that would be at the bottom of the table thinking they couldn't beat Nigeria, Ivory Coast, and Guinea Bissau, but Equatorial Guinea is now proving us wrong right from their first match against Nigeria, and now they are on top of the group A table with four points.

This competition has caused a lot of confusion and uncertainty for which team that will perform better in the competition. The ones seen as the best teams are not performing up to expectations and the ones that are underrated are beating or played tie with the big teams. I can’t wait to see the teams that will make it to the knockout stage of the competition because of how thrilled it will be by then.

Nigeria is now under pressure because they have to win this match this match against the host team Ivory Coast before we can be able to have rest of mind on qualifying for the next round, and with the players Ivory Coast has, the Nigerian team needs to be very serious and cautious to prevent losing this match and as well as make use of any chances they have in the match.

Nigeria were lucky to have won the match with a goal in the second half that was given through a penalty kick. It was a great goal from Troost Ekong and the goalkeeper could not even get close to stopping it. Ivory Coast was the better team in this match because they played better than the Nigerian team, I hope Nigeria improve going forward because that is what will help them to go far in this competition.

Based on what I observed from the first half and what Senegal is displaying from the game show that Cameroon are not too strong this season and, they don't have players that can make them to equalize the game at this point because Senegal has scored the 2 goals to set the stadium jubilation.

Since the game remain 15 minutes to the end of the game, I don't think Cameroon have any magic to do again to equalized the 2 goals and you can see that Senegal strikers are still adding more effort to make the goals 3:0 before the end of the game if Cameroon defenders are not careful.

The Senegal vs Cameroon game has been one of the toughest in this tournament though Senegal taking the glory, the cameroonian players were very physical and aggressive in their kind of play while the senegales were very technical and they used every opportunity they had judiciously, sadio mané always maintaining the pressure upfront for Senegal and M.Jackson giving the assist. the cameroonian players are always keeping much spacing within themselves and there by giving the Senegalese opportunity to penetrate through those spacings. Looking at the last goal mane scored, you could see that he was totally free and it even took onana to dive full length and he could not even get the ball to stop it.  The game ended 3-1 in favour of Senegal.

Senegal might not have played the most entertaining football to other football fans that watched their second game the group stage of this year's CAF African Cup Of Nations but to the fans of the West African country, they had few shots during the game as they but the good thing about it is that they had 100% shot conversation in the game.

Cameroon once again are looking like an average team that doesn't even look fit enough to compete for the biggest football trophy in Africa. It might not be a great performance from Senegal, but it was surely a great result for them

Senegal won Cameroon by 3 goals to 1 but that's not the issue, Onana's performance on that game wasn't impressive at all. He was asking the coach to put him among the substitute in their first game which the coach refused and today he's at the goalpost but couldn't make any save. Onana was just showing his busybody on the pitch, trying to do the work of a goalkeeper and a coach, if I'm to be the coach of the Cameroon national team I'd make sure Onana visit the bench till the rest of the competition because he doesn't contribute anything positive to the team.
Senegal has shown other Africa countries in this tournament why they're the champions and they're ready to defend it. To beat the Senegal team you need something special and if eventually the Super Eagles qualify and are drawn with The Lions of Teranga, I'm not seeing the Eagles getting a win or a draw.

Mohammad Salah can always be the focus when he plays for his club or for his country and it will be detrimental for the club and Egypt if he is injured, and I agree with you, maybe the match will go differently if Salah plays because he is smart enough in terms of breaking the deadlock his team is experiencing, and opportunities It looks like they have a tough time not only having to win the third match but also depending on the results of the other matches.

Nigeria being able to win against Ivory Coast was quite extraordinary because they were under quite intense pressure from Ivory Coast and one penalty kick was enough for them to get 3 points and keep their chances, and for Ivory Coast this was not pleasant because they should have been able to ensure they passed a group phase and failed in the few opportunities they had were a bad note for their performance.

Mo Salah injury is a scare for both club and his country presently at the AFCON. Though Egypt quite thrilled us without Salah as they were able to be composed and get the draw against Ghana but will they be able to keep up that performance for long?

The 3 points we got against the host was just luck and luck can only take Nigeria so far. If up against a high scoring team like Senegal, we'd be in big trouble because this team doesn't look like they can comeback from 0-2 goal margin.

The reason you did not find the early part of the match interesting was that you were expecting too much from those two. Who will not expect the defending champion, Senegal and former champion Cameroon to give an interesting match, full of intrigue and skills? The second half of the match actually cleared the doubts.

It was a total humiliation for Cameroon tonight and I must say that I'm disappointed at them. They had a good team even better than that of Nigeria who were able to beat the host Ivory Coast. So, I was expecting them to put up a strong fight such that even if they lost, the margin would have not been that wide. Conceding three goals was actually a bad result for Cameroon and I hope they do better in their next match against Gambia.

Morocco is really playing with quality, their style of play is different from other African countries. It is very good that they pass and enter the penalty area. By the way, we will see in the future whether there will be a hard football to stop Morocco. I think Morocco's difference from other African countries is that they have switched from this physical, hard style of play to technical play. Morocco is a very strong team especially players like aschraf hakimi, hakim ziyech, achouri, en nesyri are just a few of them. After all, they're fourth in the World Cup.

Strong performance from Senegal, the big players in the team having a huge effect and scoring goals. Sarr and Mane were very influential for the win, and Senegal secure six points from two games to be on top of Group C with Guinea in second if they successfully ensure that Gambia do not score an equalizer. Cape Verde won their game with three good goals and were not scored any, they have had a perfect start to the competition, I do not think it could have been predicted that they top Group B and look very likely like one of the teams that will qualify from this group to the next round, pushing either Ghana or Egypt away.

Indeed, Nigeria game is less impressive but the most important thing is that they can qualify from this group stage I see Nigeria as having a big chance to qualify or even be the winner in Group A because Nigeria's next opponent is Guinea-Bissau and Guinea-Bissau is one of the weakest teams in Group A I'm sure Nigeria can win so Nigeria collected 7 points. While Guinea has to compete with Ivory Coast to fight for one more spot one of them will be kicked out or they can continue through a battle for best third place, but somehow I feel like Ivory Coast has a better chance.

By the way if we compare Nigeria and Senegal indeed Senegal looks better, they can win 2 matches including in today's match Senegal beat Cameroon 3-1 meaning they are certain to qualify for the next round with a total of 6 points and no other team can catch them, however this does not mean that Senegal can achieve a better position than Nigeria other things could happen for example Nigeria could win another match through luck. Honestly, at first I also doubted Nigeria but after seeing the second match then I thought of something else.

Indeed, Cameroon were no match for the Taranga lions of Senegal but at some point, we'd agree they were determined to still put up a fight. I've seen teams that give up once they are a goal down to a very stronger team but Cameroon refused to let their spirits go down and you would notice they were even more revived when they got the goal.
 As for Onana, he has been beaten at home, away and far beyond. He'd better just go back to Man UTD and continue conceding as he usually does and let the home side manage their second choice.
