The Super Eagles have taken it as a tradition not to perform well when invited to play for their home country. I have always known them to be playing below expectations and the problem is not from the coach, instead the problem might be due to lack of financial encouragement from the management board to the players. It has gotten to an extend that some of our players are been owned some certain amounts of funds by the management board that are yet to be paid and this has been a  discouragement to the players from giving out their best in the field because there are under paid.

Nigeria have quality players that are performing very well in their various clubs abroad. Or haven't you been asking yourself why our players are performing to standard when playing in their clubs but once invited to play for their beloved home country,they will start playing below expectations. This is a clear show that the players are intentionally playing below expectations and it pains me for that. The best we can do is to continue to give them our supports and hope for a better change and improvements in their playing pattern in the field.

Even NFF are not doing well to encourage these players and motivate them to do better. If the NFF change their ways and make playing for the country enjoyable and a thing to be happy doing then things will be better. They should try shifting their focus on getting players from the local league to the national team.

Our players should focus on playing football and forget about NFF and some special treatments they hope to get. Let them see it as a sacrifice for the country, some of our players are not interested in playing for Nigeria because of how things are being managed so agreeing to play at home is knowing their flaws and accepting no matter what happens, just play the sports. I appreciate the players who sometimes leave their clubs to play for the country, they leave to rest during breaks to fulfil international duties and yet we want them out for domestic players to fill the first eleven. I would agree with you if you can pick any of our player who are worse and don't make it first eleven in their respective clubs.

The players are not complaining but it is obvious how poor the national team is, soon football clubs will limit their players from participating in the international break because they can’t risk their key players sustaining injuries and not receiving the best treatment from their national team.

Corruption has eaten through most things. 10B might be allocated for sports sector but only like 50-100M will actually be used in the end as most of the people in power see it as a means to an end.

There is poor players welfares and that have affected the Nigeria football body for quite a while now, the mot recent is the  avoidance of players who sustain injuries during their match on the national League, some times, this international based players have to get treated by their clubs or using their personal funds, despite sustaining the injury while playing for the national team.

I have heard of this quite a number of times in the past but I haven’t seen it discussed here before until now. This is very bad in all aspects and they should desist from doing this if now it’ll cost their players to not want to always come home to play for the national team as how they’re treated is not proper for them to perform optimally. There is this joy in every player when called upon by their national team but in the case of Nigeria, they may not feel the same.

Due to their poor welfarism I also heard of a time one of the top players in the national league had to use his money to settle other players since he was more successful than them after coming from a tournament and the government was yet to disburse them quickly as they should. All this can weak the morale of players, so we should not be surprised that they play better and perform better in their club game than they do in the national team level.

NAFF negligence of their players when they leave their international clubs to features in local leagues or other international football competitions, is the reason why most players never honor NAFF invitation in some Cases, those players have learned from the past incidents and chosen to remain at their clubs rather than risking their career trying to play for their home country who will not take responsibility when injury are sustain during such games.

A quick search on the internet shows that Nigeria and Russia have never played in the national team. So it will be the first time both teams will meet. From the statistics you gave,  Russia seems to be a good side I don't know how seriously the Super Eagles will take the game. I think it should be given importance since it will be a good time for the players to play together and blend more. It will also be another opportunity for Éric Sékou Chelle to prove that he is the right person for the job.

Rumors have it that he has already signed for Manchester United. If it be true, it is something to celebrate not just for the club but for him personally because his career is about to enter another level with the level of PR in the Premier League.

Victor Osimhen adjusts very well to all the leagues he has been in, it has not mattered because he has been scoring goals. In a Manchester United jersey, records will be made and broken.

I think Victor Osimhen will stay at Galatasaray, I have a feeling they will make him an offer that he can’t refuse, remember Osimhen almost moved to the Saudi league last year.

Unfortunately, it seems to me that he is a very unlucky player. It is not normal that a player who scored many goals in Serie A and now in the Turkish league is not being sought after by many big teams. The guy has already proven that he is a great striker

but many teams prefer to pay 60 or 75 million euros to sign players who are not superior to Victor Osimhen. The amount that Napoli is currently asking for is something that the big teams could easily pay if they were really interested in Victor Osimhen.

Nowadays it is very difficult for a national coach to adopt a style of play and play beautifully when he has players who play in many different leagues and also the leaders of the federations demand results, when they sign contracts with the coaches they set some goals such as:

1 - the national coach must qualify the team for the African Cup of Nations

2 - the national coach must qualify the team for the World Cup

If the coach does not comply with these points the contract is automatically terminated. So the coach will not focus on playing well or beautifully, he will demand that the team wins, no matter what means the players must use

I’m happy that the NFA are setting standards for the coaches. These are crucial moments for the new coach and ideally it should not be hard for him to achieve all this objectives with the squad Nigeria has. They are good enough to qualify for the African Cup Of Nations and the World Cup.

Personally I see this as bullshit, this isn’t a target or standard but because of the situation where we find ourselves, it looks like it. Why not make it Win the Afcon, Get to the World final knockout stages.
Get a coach that will build a team, stingy people who don’t like progress only care for themselves.
The last foreign coach Jose Peseiro was building a team, doing well atleast why let him go, why not pay him what he deserves. Now you’ll employ a comedian and expect magical show, he’ll only make you laugh.

Our major problem is having a compact team, there are talents everywhere

Russia is a good opponent to test our abilities and evaluate the performances of our players. The good thing is that it’s a friendly game. I think the Super Eagles should be able to win Russia, at the moment Russia are not at the top level they used to be on football so we should be able to win unless our first team doesn’t show up.

It's a friendly game like you said and I don't really trust friendly game that much as a test of strength because some of the players playing aren't really that serious although it's always the same case but from the last development I saw on their performance I believe super eagles aren't actually playing bad although the results from the last game in the world cup qualifiers was a really dreadful and disappointing after scoring the long waited goal they let it slide with poor defense or should I say tiredness.

I think we have the players to match the quality of any top team but the Super Eagles are yet to prove themselves as a good team. I don’t have my hopes up that the Super Eagles will do anything in that match. They can’t even perform in important games, what will they now do in an friendly match.

Super eagles can win them if they're not complete but if they came with all the people that will be heading Russia next year world Cup then super eagles cannot win them because among all the countries on there continent they are part of the top country, though there is what thing about friendly I don't like which is not being serious because I have watched a lot of countries with high energy on national league but during friendly they don't put energy on them, so that is what Russia might possibly do because even if super eagles won them they will not feel bad but if eventually they meet again on the real time then we will no the difference.

Manchester United will not agree to pay a 60 - 75 million release clause to sign Victor Osimhen, plus I think a net payment of 12 million Euros for wages plus additional commissions, they will rather go for wolves striker Matheus Cunha with such an amount of money, and by next season they will see themselves struggling again. I think Manchester United at the moment find it difficult to go for the best, they rather try to manage an average player yet they want to compete with the likes of Manchester city and Liverpool.

He might be a good signing for them but not for Osimhen. I'll prefer he goes to Chelsea than Man united because it seems the only thing not working for Chelsea now is their striker as they have a strong team that can compete for trophies when they get a striker like Osimhen.

Super eagles are people who play and perform for the country to see how much of there wholeness they're giving to defend the country side in football, so this spirit will not leave them on the friendly match because since they might not win Russian on an open ground that's not friendly match they will be resistible because they will give more to the match than Russia, so the betting on this match will be analysed by the country that's too eager than other, I have not wait till I see the match but I have already known that the super eagles are like that, each of this side will not play a full-time without a goal to them.

Both team are barely surviving the heat, Chelsea are struggling to keep up the pace needed to stay top five which is something difficult to do considering they have serious matches ahead of them, they will battle clubs who are among competing to finish top six also going to face the Premier League winners, what is there hope of keeping their performance alive until week 38. While, Manchester United are hoping to win Europa which gives them automatic qualification into Champions League next season, according to how they performed it is still less likely for them to make it happen, both teams are on the verge of losing and both winning at the same time, we can't conclude on them as both may even fail to meet up the demand.

With the love from Galatasaray, Oshimhen might not move to a different club, who knows.
