You said all this and it adds up, but some are saying they didn't perform as expected, and that they need to improve the quality in their performances. Nigerians will always have an excuse to give, even when these boys are trying so harder already. Let's 'em be! All we want is a win.

Yes the most important thing is to win but how do you win when you don't improve! The thing is, when a more superior team is playing the other inferior team in terms of rankings and quality of the players, you expect that superior team to hold their ground and playe better like the team that they are but when the inferior team is playing better than the supposed superior team then questions are bound to be asked. A d the improvement of the team will surely be sort after by the fans or those that watched the game.

The bookmakers are giving odds of @1.99 if the Nigeria national team manages to beat Rwanda. It seems that the bookmakers are not taking the Nigeria squad very seriously, but rather are looking at Nigeria's bad past performance, who has not yet won in this group, while Rwanda only has one defeat. The last time Rwanda played against Nigeria, Victor Osimhen and other good players played and still Rwanda win.

Hope you took advantage of this giveaway odd for Nigeria because we were certain to beat Rwanda though I was not sure of the correct score but I was sure of finishing victorious against Rwanda. We might not be finishing very well in international tournaments but we have a good squad that I am confident of and I was confident that the Super Eagles were going to beat Rwanda.

It is not about beaten Rwanda only, they should remain consistent on their remaining games to be played in order to stand a chance to qualify for the World Cup next year. They’ve played against all teams in their group and finished on the fourth position on the table after round five match. They will continue with their round 6 game with Zimbabwe who have not won any match in the qualifying games and have only draw three.

The position they are now don’t speak good well of what we are expecting from them, they ought to top that group and get the direct qualification to the World Cup by finishing as the group leaders. Nigeria have the players that can make that happen but they misuse their earless opportunities. While there are still a good number of chance for them to secure the next spot, I hope they can achieve success in their remaining games.

Okay, it's a good it's a good initiative for a motivation from their government on their national team but unfortunately their players wouldn't be getting that money because Nigeria is going to beat them black and blue at the Godswill Akpabio stadium in a grand style breaking that 2019 drought because the Super Eagles are very much prepared for this match more than ever and it's a decisive game for them if they will be making it to the WC 2026 or not, but that also depends on what the other opponents in the group plays but Nigeria should win their game, that's what's important.

Similar thing happened a year ago or two. Where the SAFA president was ready to give the Bafana Bafana players each R7-million if they win Nigeria in the AFCON competition. They were successful at that.

However, i expect the Nigerians to take this seriously. The Zimbabwean president and players will be disappointed and i believe so. Enough of all the mental games. I trust Victor Osimehn and the entire Super Eagles defenders to break history.

Yeah I saw the news and it appears that the Zimbabwean president promised $150,000 for the national team if they manage to win Super Eagles away.
I find this very personal since the economy of Zimbabwe isn't that good to throw rewards like that, even though it might appears nothing for European players or Saudi Pro League ones but I assume for Zimbabwean it is a lot of money.
For Nigeria, I don't think they see this game like their rivals, it doesn't worth, if Nigerian players ready then they will win regardless of the prize.

We're supposed to win all this other nations that don't have footballing heritage as we do.

I'm not surprised if the Zimbabwean government are promising $10k per player if they beat Nigeria, looking at the group already you will see that they are 1 point ahead of Nigeria, so the government are just encouraging them to maintain their lead and also climb to the top of the group. On the other hand the Nigerian super Eagles are hellbent on making sure they secure a win against Zimbabwe at least to help them push their points to the top so they can be second in that group behind South Africa who have 10 points already, so  it's a crucial match with vested interest on both side as only two countries can qualify from each group of six countries.

Money is a strong motivator. However I don't think zimbabwe will be able to upset the super eagles of Nigeria, given Nigeria's squad depth and overall quality. Although the super eagles haven't defeated Zimbabwe in recent times, playing in Akwa Ibom gives them a strong home advantage, which makes an upset even more unlikely.

In the meantime the current Zimbabwean team isn't anything like those of since 2019 as their current form has been very poor, for they have not won a single game in the group matches except for the draws that have earned them 3 points. Nigeria has a strong attacking front and a good defensive backline too that is capable of waging off any form of offset which the Zimbabwe side may want to pull that's if they can have the tenacity to. My prayers are that let Benin Republic lose to SA as Nigeria wins Zimbabwe.

This is how the game is suppose to be, imagine Ghana struggling with a country like Madagascar in that encounter, it would have been a shame but having to see the black stars of Ghana dominating the game like their lives depends on it is so impressive to me and I wish the Super Eagles can do such a thing to their opponent talking about Zimbabwe. If the Super Eagles do handle games the way countries like Ghana, Tunisia, Ethiopia and some other countries that did very well I don't see all these smaller countries trying their best to win when they come against the giant of Africa but they choose not to make it hard for their opponent and I wish the Eagles don't go out tomorrow and play a draw, it is a must win for the Super Eagles.

I didn't get to watch the full match but I watched the highlights. Observation was that something was wrong with the Madagascar team. They were not playing with any drive or hunger to win. I didn't feel it. They allowed the Ghanaian side to gain most of the possessions, shots on target, free kicks. I think what happened is that first goal during the early minutes of the game. It killed their morale. Secondly, the stadium was almost empty. Fans play important role in boosting the morale of their supporting team. Regardless of the loss, they hold the second place on the table for their group. I hope they go back to the drawing board and do a review of their match and improve in the next leg.

Truly he has been lethal and nothing is disputing that fact, and by the look of things he might even surpass 40 goals between now and the end of the season if the players around him in both Galatasaray and in our super eagles keeps on assisting him and creating more goal scoring opportunities for him, because his numbers this season can not be possible if they aren't creating enough goal scoring opportunities for him, that is the primary reason I don't fancy the interest of Manchester united in him because they are absolutely a shambles of a club, they are not creating enough goal scoring opportunities for their attackers because they don't even have the attacking flair players that does that.

So in my own opinion I think that the best possible move for him during this summer will be if he can sign for arsenal, if he can make that move, he can even score up to 50 goals a season because arsenal is the club that has the kind of players that can bring the best out of him as a player, so it would be of his own interest if he can sign for arsenal than Manchester united.

I agree with you, if not the effort of their new coach they would have lost in that game between super Eagle vs Rwanda because the coach would have not make use of the right players to play the game. You can see that the new super Eagle coach honour all the Nigerian players in big club to come and show interest in this world cup qualifiers tournament, which some honor the invitation of the coach to display what we saw in that game in the home of Rwanda.

Have people forgotten what happened to the super Eagle coach before they brought this new one to coach super Eagle, it show that this current coach have the experience on how to organize the players to do well, which is what this current super Eagle coach is doing in this season.

I know normally those are supposed to be a form encouragement for the player to put in efforts and try and win the game by every means possible and I know it is really a good thing to do but I don’t think the players should always be waiting for such promises to be able to give their best in important games like this. They need no one to tell them the matches that are important and it will be a big slap on their face if they don’t later qualify for the World Cup tournament again so even without any promises they should be able to know how important this game is.

I also noticed the difference in character among the players, it was completely different from how it used to be with past coaches in charge. I just hope this isn’t just in one game, I hope they can keep showing such positive energy energy and bring back the good feelings we used to have when watching Super Eagles play. With the new coach I now believe winning Zimbabwe would not be much of a problem.

The last time these two sides met was in 2019, and a lot has changed for both teams. Nigeria has more quality and squad depth than Zimbabwe, but we must also remember history before wagering.  A 0:2 handicap for Zimbabwe could be a decent value, as I don't expect many goals today. Nigeria are favorite and could snap away a lone goal win. I like your ticket.

I also think he is a good goal scorer but at least 7-8 of the goals he scored for Galatasaray this year came from penalties. I agree that he is talented in converting penalties into goals but without penalties he would not have reached this many goals.

It is also a fact that he is the only one who leads Galatasaray in points.
He has very critical goals in at least 4-5 matches. In the last away game in Alanya, Galatasaray played bad football but they won the match thanks to Osimhen.
