I have a BTC -> XMR service ready to go. Soon you will not need to use Shapeshift.io. I anticipate the launch to be within the next 2 weeks.

Prepare for Monerizer.

Is this waiting for the 0.9 release?

Sorry for the delay. I started refactoring some things, improving the security. Then I got distracted with another project. Now I expect it to take another week or two. Soon™.

Thanks for the update, looking forward to it.

Their link to monero goes to getmonero.com

Which is a dead link.

Shouldn't it be getmonero.org?

Can someone contact them?

I can't am away for the balance of the day.

I sent a Tweet to the person who I believe was in charge of adding Monero to that page. I am confident they will fix it soon

Heads up guys. XMR just rose to 6th place overall on Coingecko.
https://www.coingecko.com/en
Wait till the 0.9 release...
Dash is at 7 so.....not impressed....

The spread between the Coingecko ranking 7 (Namecoin just passed us) and Coinmarketcap 16 is really significant. The implication is that Monero is severely undervalued at this point. The other coin with a significant positive spread is Namecoin 6 vs 11 indicating it is also undervalued although Namecoin has narrowed the spread recently, Some significant negative spreads indicating over valuation Ripple 5 vs 2 and Steller 18 vs 8 ouch. As for Dash slightly overvalued 9 vs 6.

Concerned that blockchain bloat will lead to centralization? Storing less than 4 GB of data once required the budget of a superpower and a warehouse full of punched cards. https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/8/87/IBM_card_storage.NARA.jpg https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Punched_card

Coinmarketcap is just what the name says so doesn't mean much ( ...bytecoin...).
Coingeko is supposed to rate other attributes,  but if dash is 7 it means some important attributes are not taken into account so I don't take the ranking so seriously.

Total buy orders on polo under 60 BTC. Looks like everything is down again with BTC's little jump, but I'm kinda thinking we're going under 0.001 here.

There's strong support at .0009 to .001

USD value looking quite stable at 38 cents.

When was the last time this happened? (price  below .001, both with or without a BTC/USD reference baseline)

Ah cool thanks. I think if it goes below .001 then it will also go below 0.00075. Just set up buy orders accordingly Wink

Quick question... How does coingecko rank every coin? Like how can doge coin be #3 when the price is so low?

They used to be a bit more clear about rankings (maybe still clear somewhere else on the site now?). It is a combination of the info in the different columns, so a combination of market factors and non market factors such as development, social network metrics (followers, etc.), and so forth.

Quick question... How does coingecko rank every coin? Like how can doge coin be #3 when the price is so low?

... becasue CoinGecko looks at a lot more than just capitalization which in many cases can be easily manipulated. If there is a marked discrepancy between the CoinGecko and capitalization rank of a coin, I would pay very close attention to that coin.

coinmarket cap is a waist of time, coingecko is a waste of time.... the only thing that matters is the code. Monero wins.
