interesting

some data length thing?

Hey, I had the exact same problem, which is why my XMR address is in my profile and not my signature.  It took me hours to figure out why what looked like a perfect address wouldn't work.... Bitcointalk kept insisting on putting an invisible line break halfway through the address!  Angry Angry Angry

Anyway, It will work fine if you post it under the "Other" contact details in your profile.

I'm not sure if you can do it in your signature, but in general I think people wrap their XMR addresses in the
Code:
tag to prevent the space thing.

Moneros went from .04 to .44 to the dollar because of the BTC rally, now its gone parabolic I assume people just want to get their money out and in dollars before BTC deflates and takes it to .3

If you bought Monero because you believed it had a technical future (and really, given the early state why else would you buy it) then it only makes sense to hold it even harder now.  Smiley

What do you think will happen if Bitcoin gets popular?  Lots of organizations are going to get *pissed* and start tracking users willy nilly..... a flight into a secure and private alternative is the only option at that point.

This is chess you dumb humans.   Cheesy Wink  Think two moves ahead, and preferably seven or eight.

There is clearly a sentiment in the market that most alts should drop as Bitcoin rises and maintain (approximately) their fiat value. With the possible exception of LTC. That has been the prevailing market action for a month or more.

Hey chickens!

Just here to welcome the 0.001's . You were all warned, so don't cry now....   Cry

You cannot imagine how my portfolio looks right now... MUAHAHAHAHAA Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin

I have good and fresh news from you ducks: I've closed all my XMR shorts and most members of the circle are starting doing the same. We all know that XMR is one of the most promising shits outthere and it's not wise to continue short at those prices.

In fact, I've already bought tons of XMR and we'll continue to do so. Here officially starts the new BTC and ALT bubble, so get ready for a +50M $ cap on XMR in a few months.

But shhhh, it's just a secret, don't expand it! Wink

If history is a guide, major alts will follow a major Bitcoin surge in about 2 weeks. Just be patient and load up some more if you believe this is another big BTC rush.

overall I think that the majority has not yet understand bitcoin. one day they will, and then they will also find out that there is also a anonymous blockchain.  i think we need at least one anonymous crypto. this could be monero or another one. I hope monero will be ready then (gui + xmrusd exchange).

This is a fabulous point.  I'm sure many people here have read The Economist cover article, ostensibly about bitcoin.  But if you really read the issue of The Economist, it's more about various blockchain possibilities.  Bitcoin is only one of several potential blockchain plays one could make.

Right now, it may be the most developed.  But there are potential issues ahead regarding block size, transaction times, etc...  If you think anonymity might be another blockchain-related issue, well, you could pony up VC dollars on a variety of registry-related startups in Silicon Valley.  If you don't have millions and millions of dollars in liquid assets that you want to plop down on ONE roulette wheel slot, you could also buy Monero.

Oh, it's gonna get fun....

You know how the bitcoin ATH was about $1200 and this spawned about 1200 altcoins?

What if that ratio holds and an ATH of $10,000 gives us the gift  of 10,000 altcoins?

Hold onto your butts.  It's about to get foamy.

This is the first time we have confirmation the lack of official GUI is hindering adoption: https://www.reddit.com/r/Monero/comments/3rd123/private_internet_access_send_this_vpn_an_email/cwn3jbe

still good news.
