I would love to see XMR added to BTC-e.

Looks like it may get on Cryptsy first
https://www.cryptsy.com/coinvotes

It's been up for vote for almost a day and it is up to 4th with 8561 as of this moment.

I don't care about cryptsy, we need XMR/USD and XMR/EUR pair at BTC-e Wink
That will be HUGE

That will be HUGE Cheesy

A XMR/BTC pair to start with would already be huge. I think BTC-e is very interested in the anonymity Monero provides. Don't we have some russian speaking members? Tongue

Personally I think we're not and organic growth would be better. I didn't say they should add it now, but maybe if they hear about it more often they will do some research into Monero themselves. But that's pure hypothetical.

since this is speculation thread I would like to know what would be the most bullish event for you for xmr in the foreseeable future?

I start and for me it would be that we get a consensus of how we would finance the development of the core of xmr over time.

I'd really like to see this discussion resumed. There were a lot of ideas thrown around but it was cut off by the recent events.

Also, where would we like to that discussion to take place? There's this thread (
Monero Funding - Brainstorm Thread. Lets fix it.
) started by rdnkjdi but it seems dead at the moment.

Or maybe at the moderated monero thread?

It's not BTC-E, but in case you haven't seen the CCEDK news, check out the main XMR thread.  They plan to offer XMRUSD, XMREUR, XMRRUR, XMRDKK by 4 October.

2 da m00n or 2 da dungeon?

I think this is a crucial short term breaking of the triangle. We will need to wait for a confirmation on the daily chart:

I think the price is still under the fear from BCX "attack". He comes on every few days and says he "still has time" ( it was 22 days....)
Until that threat is resolved either way we aren't moving much up or down.

I don't believe anyone with money to move the markets is waiting on that. Weak hands sold, strong hands held, new hands are buying. Business as usual. With a little less Monero-centric worldview you could see that Bitcoin and alts are fighting for their life, so a low price is just sympathy.

Maybe, but it doesnt take much to move monero back to the 4x area instead of the 3x that it has been since the threat.
True, other alts have been suffering as well but there have been some that have moved also the other direction.
I think the current price represents the amount of risk people are willing to take on this great coin although the threat is still in the air.
If BCX would come out and say he was wrong (no vulnerability or that he will now help the devs fix one)  the price would jump back up in hours.

The price crashed within 5 minutes of BCX threat on Poloniex trollbox, with very large volume. It seemed that at least one very large holder did cash out because of the threat.
You may call him "weak hand", but certainly he had enough to move the market.

IIRC Warz cashed out a significant portion of his stash. Atleast that is what he said at the trollbox. Plus he is still waiting to buy in again.

#2 on voting list at cryptsy with more than 13K.
Though not knowing how many votes are paid (via cryptsy points), it gives an impression of how many people are involved and/or interested in Monero. I guess that the number of cryptsy-abstainers exceeds the number of paid votes, but that's a personal opinion, which may be completely wrong.

Anyway: impressive progress in that short time.

I think all coins have paid votes, or with btc or giving voters alt coins for voting. Monero have huge community compared to most coins.
