1081  Economy / Economics / Re: Real estate vs cryptocurrencies vs business on: October 29, 2023, 10:39:17 PM
People running crypto projects are a business so why should we invest money in other's business and help others to grow their business where we can build our own business through hard work.
You're an investor when you invest money in other's businesses whether it's a crypto-related business/project or not. The thing with this kind of setup is that you're not stressed at all, you just invest money and wait for the project to get success. But just like making a business, being an investor is also a hard thing to think of. But if you think that you better make your own business, you need to exert all the effort and money on it unlike becoming an investor. Warren Buffett is one of the best investors in the world although he's got his own company that invests also in other businesses, that's what makes it good for someone who's an investor. No debate intended as we know that he hates Bitcoin but that doesn't make me hate him for all of his achievements that he's got. So, with this matter. You invest and you save time while the owners of the business where you invest are working hardly for you to also make a profit out of it but if we're specific on crypto projects, just as the traditional businesses, they've got chance of failing.

Such a demonstration of force by Spirit in first map of Grand Finals of Dota TI! If they will manage to keep up the pace for the rest of the series , we might have a quick 3-0 from Spirit and a second TI for this team who really  made GG looked like an easy team to defeat after GG simply demolished lower bracket and won 3 majors this year.  Shocked.
I am also thinking that they're about to get this straight 3-0 so that the match will end too easy for them and Team Spirit will become a 2-TI time champion.

They also need to figure it out how to stop Miposhka because it's clear that Yatoro cannot be stopped from farming like a monster  Grin
Actually what I have observed on the first map with the bans, it was Team Spirit that has banned most of the carry heroes. That's actually a good advantage for the Gaimin Gladiators already when they can focus on other heroes to get banned. The map 2 is starting now. I think Team Spirit knows how to tilt Quinn and he's already having a mental breakdown. LOL, this is what they get when most of the GG players don't even want to interact with their fans as they enter the dome. 2nd map bans as I am seeing it right now, it is Team Spirit that has banned the weaver. The drafting phase is executed very well by the Team Spirit and I think that silent is helping them a lot on this one. The first map with first pick weaver, probably confused GG. Now, the 2nd map, the first pick of Team Spirit is magnus, interesting that GG has given the best hero of collapse.
1083  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🕹️ Esports 🎮 Prediction & Discussion Thread on: October 29, 2023, 09:48:42 PM
First game in the grand finals was easily taken by Team Spirit. If you guys have watched the game, it's totally like all siding with Team Spirit. Props to all of them because they have played their roles very well. Yatoro with that weaver is really strong and quick farmer thanks to the Lone Druid of Ace that has given him +600 gold in the early game. That has helped the factor for quick farm and taking early items that will help him during early team fights as he backs. The visions and aggressiveness made by miposhka and mira have helped them scout and know the positioning of GG. Well, for me this is a total massacre and AFAIK Ace's Lone Druid is one of his best but Team Spirit just made it cute like he's a walking gold in the map and too squish with weaver's desolator. Map 2 is coming shortly so let's all wait for that to commence. Most of my bets still have lost but on this grand finals, I am sure that many of you are also going to put some bets before this TI ends. I want to see a map 5 on this game because this is like best of the best for this season for Dota 2.
1084  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are successful gamblers seen as addicts? on: October 29, 2023, 08:43:05 PM
Gambling at home All gamblers must have knowledge of what they are doing. In a game where the gambler looks at his opponent, This is where it depends on someone bluffing in the game to get your money at the table.
This is for poker when you are just at home and enjoying gambling against your opponents. You can't see their faces but you know how to bluff against them. That's actually fun when you're doing that at most times because what you're doing is also being done by other gamblers who do enjoy doing that whilst they're at home.

All gamblers do not have a definite goal, they are just addicted to playing how to increase their income from gambling, hoping that today they will get a profit from gambling. If they get the opposite or lose, successful gamblers will continue to play and play again?
I don't think so. Most gamblers have goals and not only have their incomes up but also recover their losses. And that's why we see many of them are losing more because of how they're reacting to their losses. With the outcomes that are favorable to them, they're going to continue and even with the opposite, still, they're going to continue without thinking on how much they've lost and from there they are going to be classified as addicted gamblers when there seems to be no reason for them to stop and all they want to do is to continue.
1085  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ESports betting -CS:GO, DOTA 2, LOL, Valorant - Sportsbet.io discussion thread on: October 29, 2023, 03:58:15 PM
At this point , I doubt anyone can stop Spirit for winning another TI right ?
No doubt that Team Spirit is like on the hybrid form and seems no one can stop them. And when I've watched the interviews of many other players that participated this TI, if there's one player that they'd like to ban, that's no other than yatoro. It's very likely that they're going to win their 2nd TI belt for the 4 of the roster and this is going to be the first TI for Larl.

I mean GG will surely defeat LGD and reach the finals but I still think Spirit is the better team overall.
We still have to see that if they'll be able to beat LGD. This is also a hungry team that on their region, it's been so long since they've taken the aegis. Well, it's just one hour away until we see the match happening for GG and LGD.

We also have some news from Dota 2 scene with Zai most likely retiring from Dota 2 pro scene and the scandal of fair play between Azure Ray and BetBoom seems to have moved on social media after last night some players refused to shake hands with each other ...Sad
I just hope that zai won't retire yet. It seems like I am getting old when I see most of these pro players retiring. I've known them for quite a while and then this. And for that BetBoom and Azure Ray, I think that '?' and BetBoom's chat before this TI or it was during the other tournament that Torontotokyo told on the chat that if they are scared of the BetBoom's roster if they're not with pure.
1086  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The International 12 [Dota 2, eSport] discussion thread on: October 28, 2023, 10:29:15 PM
I'm actually sad for Liquid as I had them as my favorites in this TI but Zai really made a bad draft and Blitz didn't help at all with that pick on Puck for Nisha so I think GG simply outdrafted them and then automatically outplayed them.
Outplayed and outdrafted, that's simple as it is. Although their start was very enticing after beating GG but then it's not enough since it's a best of 3 series. GG could be the next old Team Liquid that will go through all odds on the losers bracket? It's simply telling that they're going to beat every enemies that they're going to be playing with.

Also , did anyone saw the reaction of Matu after Liquid got eliminated ? He simply rage quit commentators table and left the building  Grin Grin Grin Grin
Matu has still that heart for Team Liquid and he's with the boys on his last TI run before the retirement. It's just full disappointment on his end and that's understandable. This is what's good on this esports, it's not just all about the prize, the game, the play but also the heart that everyone is putting in to show their passion for it.

It's time to share your experience.
(choose one question and share your thoughts)

1. what helped you blend into this space?

2. tell us how your journey in cripto has been.

 3. what would be your advice to the newbie still trying to figure things out?

4. Did you also have the "get rich quick" mindset. I bet it slowed down your learning process.
1. The curiosity and newness of this space made me got in here.
2. It's a long story but it's not different from the others so, it's all the same on how probably you got in here.
3. First things first, this market isn't a rich-quick scheme but it can definitely make you rich at the right moment and time. You just have to survive all the odds that are being put on you when you try to learn how to get into this venture. Because many have been disappointed already learning that there's always the bloodbath that will come knowing that you have just got in. It's normal for this market to experience and that doesn't make it a discouragement because you will learn everything once you experience the bloodiest days.
5. I can't remember if I did but probably not. Because it seems new to me, but maybe I have thought of it as one of the schemes on the internet because there have been a lot of it before. And that's why knowledge is power and we just need to understand it.
1088  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why has Bitcoin skyrocketed recently? on: October 27, 2023, 11:21:26 PM
Some whales seem to believe that ETFs will eventually be approved, so they have seized the opportunity to buy sooner than others. Even if they don't see the ETF approved later, then the halving will probably help them get a return. It makes sense to buy now instead of waiting for an ETF to be approved or when demand for bitcoin increases due to the halving.
It's two way around on this upcoming bull run. Those that are optimistic with the ETF approval, they'll have to buy before the push happens from this news and you're right that even there's no good news about the approval, the halving is approaching and that's another factor that will make the market higher and will result to a higher bitcoin's price.

So the question we need to ask, if the ETF didn't get approved now, why would it go up now? It should go up when the approval comes in, and it is not coming in anytime soon, not like for another month and probably even later. So, it is basically just a rumor that made the price go up this much and that's not really a good reason but as long as it is higher, I am happy, no matter what the reason is.
I think if there's not ETF approval, the common ground here is the basic reason for what makes bitcoin up and that's the preparation for the halving. We can say that the increase of the price was due to the manipulation and wrong news about Bitcoin which tends to be good and positive news. But without that, we can still have a good ending for this season because of how we're seeing thing like now that there is a FOMO whenever that we're so close to the halving day.

What a crazy 2nd map between VP and BB with game being already in minute 70 and mega creeps on side of BB...but , I have a feeling we will get map 3 as VP can do a huge comeback with Muerta+Divine+Refresher  Grin Grin

After this , I do hope Spirit vs Liquid will give us the best game of TI so far and hopefully we get 3 maps  Cool
It just ended and that was a crazy game honestly. And this is like the games that we like to see during this TI. Vp did well also when they're about to lose, they've defended very well despite that they're all mega creeps. But that mistake of archer necromicon, and boots of travel 2 + x mark did the losing turn. Because it seems that VP is also exhausted and if they'll make it any longer, the chance of them losing was already there so they have to do something for them to just get on the game and have the results. On this game, the most patient have won the game and that's the BetBoom. That SB of Pure also did a lot of space for the team when most of them are dead and waiting to get revived. Overall, it's like also a finals game that I've enjoyed really much and hopefully the next game of upper brackets are going to be better than this and I don't want to see some easy games knowing that these are the greater teams than the lower one. So for this moment, these teams are already out of the TI12:

  • nouns
  • Virtus Pro
1090  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: 7 ways to earn free cryptocurrency on: October 27, 2023, 10:02:03 PM
Is that BAT through brave browser is still a thing today? Because I think that the ones that are only earning there is brave itself. And since they're already popular, the rewards that they're giving probably aren't that a lot anymore. But if it's just all about being free then there is no doubt that you literally earn free tokens from them.

And with the airdrops, this is like when you find real gems on them because before they're one of the good free source of crypto but not today anymore. It's because that many of them becomes a scam and the little chance for a project to become successful makes the airdrop useless if it didn't reached to that point.
1091  Economy / Exchanges / Re: What do people think of Kraken on: October 27, 2023, 09:30:00 PM
It's one of the top exchanges that we have but still incomparable to the other that's on the peak like Binance. Trustpilot ratings could be true or paid and that's why always add a grain of salt when reading it there. Based on the experience, that's how you should at those ratings. But that's it, there can be good experiences and bad ones per se for most exchanges that we use even at the most known ones like Binance.
This is the good thing about this market that we've got a lot set of choices when we're having troubles or worries about using one of them. We can switch from a to b any moment that we want to. Do you have trouble using them or did they lock your funds? If you have seen that happen to others, it's worrying honestly and you don't want it to happen to you. So before it potentially happens to you, what you have to do is to just leave them and look for a better one that might be more trustworthy for you.
1092  Economy / Economics / Re: Recession? How to face It? on: October 27, 2023, 08:58:09 PM
What is most needed during a recession is a stable cash flow. A person must be able to ensure that they have a stable cash flow that can meet their needs and to save/invest in shares or other investment instruments. Without a stable cash flow, it might be quite difficult for someone to survive this recession, because the prices of goods will tend to fluctuate and a person must be able to meet their primary needs first.
The problem during the recession is that many businesses are closing and many investments are going down. If someone who relies completely on those affected businesses and assets of their have been terribly affected by the recession, that stable cash flow won't be stable anymore.
That's the hard part for those who have been completely reliant on this and that's not a problem because that's really one of the keys to becoming stable in this world and having a solid foundation with your cash flow and passive income. But whenever these incidents come that the recession will just go through with any assets and business that you own, you'll be affected on it but as long as you can keep up with what's happening on the global market and you're skilled enough to adopt. It is possible that you'll find another way to have that stable cash flow or else you'll have to sell all of those assets that you have as well as the closure of your business even if you don't want to. The recession is savage and if you have come unprepared for it, you'll deeply feel sorry that there seems to be no hope at all with it.

And then cutting spending on things that are not important is necessary and allocating the money to things that are more necessary or saving it.
Cutting your spending on unusual things is one step for you to survive. When you've got that much stuff that you don't need and you are spending money on it, it's not just worth it at all.

NOUNS to take 1 map and Liquid to win.

I still believe that Nouns can take one map away from GG because they already did it in Group stages so I think Gunnar will find to put his team in a decent spot to take 1 map.
I had bet for nouns to win the entire series and that's because of the odds. I just did an actual gamble on them because I was impressed with their run and I am not expecting a lot on them against Gaimin Gladiators. Well, a bet is a bet and they just lost against them on a straight two games. Still, that's a nice try for them and not all teams have got that privilege to play on the main stage but they just did. Now the battle of the best teams on EEU is happening now, VP and BetBoom. People are with BetBoom on this one and recently, if you haven't seen it guys that yatoro has expressed his thoughts why Torontotokyo was out of the Team Spirit is not because TT wants himself out of the team. But it's a mutual decision of the entire team because they've got a lot of misunderstanding and disagreement every time they play. I guess it's a good decision for both of them as TT managed to have a good squad, while Team Spirit also made their run on this TI on their peak.

Then , I think Liquid has the best idea of how to approach Dota draft right now but Spirit will put up a fight for sure and I do see this series going to 3 maps.
While I am a fan now of Team Spirit, I think that I don't want to add some loss for now as it seems the bets I've made because I literally gamble because of the odds even if I know how to analyze, most of it lost. But I don't regret it because it's fun.

Guys, game time for Dota 2 The International is about to happen within the next 6 hours. And I have just noticed one thing about the posts related to the International just this day. It's about Eva Elfie, I know that you know her guys and is this really a serious thing that she said or is she just chasing clout? Here is what I am saying and known websites posted this news about her.
I dont think its about clout, shes already one of the most famour adult stars right now, she is a big dota fan apparently and has attended previous majors/TI's as well as this TI also.
Yeah, I know all of those stuff and I was just wondering if this is for the clout. If she's telling the truth that she'll contribute to the prize pool of this TI, what a shame for Valve. It only takes them a p*rnstar to contribute to their little prize pool. LOL.

She also was involved in the sponsorship/ambassador stuff of some teams, i think it was talon and/or spirit ?
IIRC, it was only Talon Esports.

Of course, the male audience knows her. I also saw this news. I remember how she appeared in the news feed at previous TI's, she is trying to get hyped and increase her recognition among those who didn't know her. Very competently, it was probably advised to her by people who understand this. I believe that she only pursues mercenary goals and is not interested in Dota 2. Also, in addition to what I have listed, I will add that she also hangs around millionaire players. I don't want to say anything bad, but maybe she... okay, I'd better stop. In general, I have a negative attitude towards her specifically at TI.

I remembered how one of the players at the last TI met her and after that said that he no longer wanted to watch the video with her.

First confrontation has just ended. An incredibly boring and fast game, just as I expected with a score of 2-0. But now the game that I have been waiting for all these days will begin! VP-BB, bring it on guys!
IMO, it's also a good exposure for her and she's able to tell about her OF and that means people will think that if she's going to contribute to the prize pool, then instead of buying compendium or any items on Dota 2 then they'll just have to support her at her own cause through her OF. I think it's a brilliant idea of her and she successfully able to introduce her to other dota 2 fans through this statement she made whether it's true or not.
1095  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Casino is a Games of Chance and Entertainment on: October 27, 2023, 12:47:16 PM
It's a valid point you’ve made. Casinos are primarily entertainment venues, and most of their games are designed to be games of chance. The house always has an edge, which means that over the long term, the casino is more likely to make money than the players. People should approach casino games as a form of entertainment and be prepared for the possibility of losing money.
It's known that the house always has the edge and that's why, the house never gets beaten. But sometimes, there are moments when a gambler really is able to get that victory against the house. And it's like once in a blue moon that it happens.

It's also crucial to gamble responsibly, being mindful of the risks involved and ensuring it remains a fun and enjoyable activity rather than a financial strategy or source of stress.
I agree, don't forget to always remember the risks that gambling has with. As you enjoy the way you gamble and despite knowing that the house always has the edge, you just need to know what you have to do. While the pressure is there when you've started to lose or when you're already on a losing streak, that's right still be mindful of the risk that you take because you'll get to see how good you are in managing it. If you're not so good on it, the pressure and stress will be put on you including the emotional and financial stress that you don't wanna have.

And when we experience a win, it brings a different feeling to us as if every time we play we will get a profit from it. The important thing is that we can still control it.
It's hard to control when we're enjoying and winning at the same time. We think that we're just having fun and winning should be set aside, we forget to secure the profits and that's why many gamblers tend to forget what they're up to and the main goal why they have gambled.

Don't push your luck beyond the maximum acceptable losing streak. Waiting too long often results in significant losses.
We are hard headed, when we are already aware that we are in a losing streak, that's the tough times that we don't want to quick. Instead of quitting, you do more, bet more and lose more. No one seems to stop us with that kind of approach because we become one sided and that's to recover those losses and soon we might be profitable but it's not.

To survive in this business, money management should be taken seriously because without it, a good gambling day can be turned into a loosing day.
Some might consider this as a business but the majority won't. And if you are considering this as a business, you probably have a huge network of connections and that's making you stay for so long because you have to maintain that. Just like any business, money management is required and studying what must be done for you to survive. But just as the majority, it's not a real business that you can treat because you just gamble and go away afterwards whatever will be the results of your bets.
1098  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoins that are good for long hodling in this season. on: October 26, 2023, 10:59:37 PM
If it's just for altcoins, BNB and Ethereum are good to hold. And that is because of their historical gains every bull run that's coming.

I guess Ethereum and Binance are very good in long hodling
You have mentioned Binance, it's the exchange and not the coin. The coin of Binance is BNB and that's where people are investing.

IMO, (Polygon)

It's really wort to be hold, as you know more and more project/game are moving from other ecosystem like (ETH/BSC) to Polygon. As you know, the transition chain we all know
- BTC to ETH
- ETH to BSC
- Now ? BSC to Polygon

I think (Polygon) are gonna to get a good movement for the next few yers.
I am of the same opinion with Polygon and it is because that's also the other chain that is mostly being used these days. The support that it has got is also increasing and I also use it for transactions because it's cheaper and like any other quick transfers, it's quick as well. I think with all of these connections that each project has been doing like to have another support from different chain, that's making each of them known in the market and also helps to ease the fees although they're not truly expensive at all.
1099  Other / Politics & Society / Re: The common saying Health is wealth on: October 26, 2023, 10:30:32 PM
I understand it when someone refuses to go to the hospital and just choose to self medicate. I am like that person and I don't bother to take care of myself because I can still see that I am strong. That's what the others probably are feeling as well as a bread winner and does the same thing. The time spent going to the hospital and effort from doing so is much better if it's spent to the work or business. And the problem is that, we'll only approach the doctors and the hospitals when what we're feeling is no longer normal and is already on the depth of being severe.

I know that health is important because we can't work if we're on the bed of diseases but can't also blame those people that are ignoring themselves and forgets to check themselves if they're still healthy or no longer. With the fast kind of life today, the mortality rate is increasing because of how technologies are making time flies so fast and we're also getting more exposure to the radiation being emitted by gadgets and devices that we use.
1100  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Dangerous chasing losses on: October 26, 2023, 01:49:34 PM
I used to be like this, whenever I lost I always doubled my bet to make up for the loss. In the beginning, yes, I was able to get it back, sometimes it even tripled, but while I was doing it, I didn't notice it, you know my loss was getting worse, the loss was getting bigger than the return, so I stopped doing that. In the beginning, it's really fun like that, so I feel that those who do this are also the ones who are new to gambling.
That's what happens usually when we're to focused with our losses. The main thing that we want do is to get them back and no matter what happens, that's the goal. Because it hurts our ego when we're losing and we think that it's the end already and we'll never be able to take them back by tomorrow. And that's why instead of temporary quitting, we're continuing even with the budget that's not allotted for gambling. Because we're justifying that we can recover it later on until the unexpected happens and we're losing more money instead of taking them back. As for the experience of us, we've got no differences on that and everyone tries to get as much money as we can.

So while it's still early and you notice that it's getting worse and worse, you should stop before you get used to it forever.
Exactly, you'll never like the end result of it when you're not aware of what can potentially come out if you don't stop. It's important to listen to the advises of those that have experienced that because you may not see coming it on you but it will.
