1521  Economy / Reputation / Re: Top 1000 merit receivers who were not active the past 30 days. on: December 20, 2019, 10:41:41 PM
oneforall looks like a glitch?
His profile shows no earned merits at all..
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=20350

Were his merits stripped from his account?

1522  Other / Meta / Re: Reducing (removing) airdropped merits for those who didn't earn 1 single merit on: December 20, 2019, 10:31:13 PM
I'm not sure it would be completely fair and just to take back rank from old accounts that made their rank before the merit system, because their are probably a lot of good users that don't get a lot of merits, but if anything I think theymos's algorithm is pretty good because it won't de-rank inactive users, but still might not be completely fair to users who continue to be active but only post once or twice per activity period..

Me personally, go ahead and take my airdropped 500 and give me the rare opportunity to make Legendary TWICE..
Just hurry up before I get to 1500 or it won't work Wink

you don't know for a fact he didn't steal the BTC.
Proving negatives is not a thing..

And he does have a long record of criminal activity on this forum, as well as multiple convictions in real life.
Links to proof of these allegations?

It's just like religion - there may or may not be a god, but all the evidence points to no.
I'd like to think that I'm a sinning Christian of some sort..

1526  Economy / Lending / Re: I want to borrow 100 BSV on: December 20, 2019, 06:07:57 AM
That's exactly what I was thinking. But then, what he should do is use his BTC to leverage a BSV position in an exchange. Way cheaper and simpler...
As an American citizen like me, what market would you use right now to short BSV?
It's not all that easy..

"master plan" of trying to leave behind the collateral and stiff the deal in the improbable case that BSV happens to surge (10%+).
Lender was betting in therms of BTC so keeps the collateral and the lender wins even if the borrower also wins and scams at the same time?
Redtags for scamming and not returning the BSV which is now worth more than the BTC collateral? Broken contract..

So that's why 110% collateral is inaceptable in this case.
I'm not exactly expecting BSV to surge, it would basically be instantaneous liquidation considering the buffer zone..
1527  Economy / Lending / Re: I want to borrow 100 BSV on: December 20, 2019, 05:27:30 AM
What do you want the BSV for if it is not too much to ask?

I think he wants to get short on BSV..

Borrow
Sell
Price goes down
Buy back
Keep change
Repay loan
Profit

I've thought a bit about how to do this off-exchange myself..

But if he has to pay my fees and exchange rates both ways that fluctuate with the market it makes his profit moot against the changing market, so it wont work with my offered structure...
Unless it dropped within the collateral liquidation point and came back up, and he made the perfect trade in it, then maybe we could both profit..
I should liquidate at around 130% @ 150% collateral to guarantee my profit on the deal..

If he thinks he can make the trade that's fine.. I'll raise his liquidation to 175% if he can give me 200% collateral Wink

Maybe he is thinking about setting himself up with a no-loss situation at the possible expense of an inexperienced lender (scam), but collateral lending is the business of setting up a no loss situation for yourself..

I didn't really research him.. How smart does he seem?

He could also just be a troll out to prove the point that BSV isn't woth A Flying Fuck Hellfish..
1528  Economy / Lending / Re: I want to borrow 100 BSV on: December 20, 2019, 04:39:51 AM
I can probably loan you BSV but you are going to pay exchange rates on my end both ways + 5% after my fees, and 150% collateral subject to liquidation if/when liquidity gets slim..

Are you actually stealing some of my future bitcoin addresses (and Bitserve's too?)

Well you could use them too, be he has the priv keys Smiley

there has gotta be some inability to reuse them too once you generate the addresses, right?

Nah..
Everyone can still use these keypairs but you won't be the only one that can..

Makes me wonder if collisions are more likely for generated addys..
Prolly not by much enough to make a difference to lowly human technology..

It sounds like you are playing the numbers game.
Yeah basically..

They didn't guess correctly but not for the reason you stated. "dead giveaway" is an expression: https://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/dead_giveaway

Looks like I hit 2/3 somehow miraculously, bones is correct getting morvillz7z a merit (beat me by less than 1 minute), and the guess wasn't correct but not for the reason of board and topic? actmyname being the last incorrect part?

Does that statement count as a "clue" allowing another guess?
1539  Other / Meta / Re: Trivia: 100000th merited post on: December 19, 2019, 06:46:31 PM
10/18=0.555 so a little less than half way back in the history of merits..

And judging by the slight declining trend of merits..
The time series plot (of full dataset) shows a spike on 16/9/2018.

I'd have to take a WAG that the 100,000th post merited happened around a year ago, or at the very least longer than the merit summaries pages keep track of them, therefore I have about zero chance of finding it..

I'll guess the 100kth merited post was made by actmyname, merited by bones261, and ironically in the meta board something to do with the topic of merits..
1540  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: CRYPTSY stopping withdraw locking accounts without notifying users! Class Action on: December 19, 2019, 05:54:49 PM
I must have missed this. Paul Vernon must still be around. He stole a bunch of my money when Cryptsy went down. Is there any chance that authorities will catch him?

nop. successfully complete his mission / bags of coin unloading in china (  bitcoin turn into cash Help off Coinbase , buy back Bitcoin in otc way with no track left behind ) its over now

How do you know it has anything to do with Coinbase? If funds were transferred through Coinbase addresses, they had to be done through a verified account and the track would have to be there.

He did cash a lot out through CB but he got away with it long enough to ... get away with it..
