The problem is this people, there are a lot of people who have thrown all of their BTC into this so the buy side is now quite weak. If people have any spare BTC they should throw a small amount at the sells because even a small amount from the many investors will shot the sell wall up. Like I said there is actually only 2 BTC that is selling under the ICO price. This is classic FUD.

You know whats pathetic. I post a picture of the coolaid man and no words saying anything against bay. I have been retweeting and favoriting many positive bay tweets. And my post gets deleted. Fail

You failed as a human.
1563  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BitBay |Decentralized Marketplace|Smart Contracts|IoT Tech|Markets Open on: November 16, 2014, 02:58:21 AM
delete all FUD posts. Truth is there are only 2 BTC that is below the ICO price being sold. Don't fall for this crap it means they buy cheap and win.
1564  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BitBay |Decentralized Marketplace|Smart Contracts|IoT Tech|Markets Open on: November 16, 2014, 02:52:32 AM
Don't be silly people the low sells are tiny amounts. Classic FUD and price manipulation to make it look like the price is dropping. Anyone who genuinely sells below ICO price is stupid. They are fake sells people...
1565  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BitBay |Decentralized Marketplace|Smart Contracts|IoT Tech|ICO LIVE on Bter on: November 15, 2014, 06:37:00 PM
It would make no sense to sell after buying a few days ago apart from rare situation where someone needs their BTC for something else. So 95% will be holding and no one has a reason to panic dump cause so far the information revealed including the other developer names etc has only strengthened the case for BitBay.

People should strive just like this ICO for a slow steady rise over the coming days and weeks with some slowly selling if they aren't in it for the long term. My point is I expect a steady rise, any dumping from the price of the ICO wouldn't make any sense. Hold and people who want to come into the market who missed for whatever reason the ICO will nudge the price up.

You would like that wouldn't you. To buy cheap.  Grin

Congratulation man, you pulled out this scam, well done if living and making money like this makes you happy, but one thing is sure, no one should be envy David Zimbeck, the public face of this scam.

Firstly this could like anyhting be a scam BUT the likelyhood is it isn't...

Do you honestly think David as a young guy will want to throw his reputation away on this if he doesn't think its legit and sound. I mean he's a damn Chess master he's not an idiot. Plus they are going to put faces to names, if so again it makes it more likely its legit. Plus there isn't any tech here that is impossible. So why not be positive about this project?

If the hook up with Alibaba is genuine then this coin actually can't fail to be massive.
1569  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BitBay |Decentralized Marketplace|Smart Contracts|IoT Tech|ICO LIVE on Bter on: November 15, 2014, 07:55:50 AM
I like this coin, but 3000BTC is really huge, as far as know, if IPO amount is more than 1000 BTC, almost of them sink down the IPO price when it hits exchanges.

Nice try. Even the lowest marketcap of the top 10 coins is 25,000BTC. People investing now know this is definitely a top 10 coin, top 5 actually. ie its cheap.

I didnt know anything about David Zimbeck so I did some research. He's an interesting guy, he was a chess master from his teenage years, self taught himself coding, clearly he is a genius.

1571  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [PRE-ANN][GEMS]| SOCIAL MESSAGING APP THAT REWARDS ITS USERS |Gems public sale| on: November 14, 2014, 11:34:53 AM
I'm 100% certain that GEMS will do better on the Android platform, but to start out on the iOS platform is brilliant because it makes iOS users feel special.

Don't forget even if you have iOS your friends just as likely wont. Not having Android basically blocks various parts of the world from participating especially Asia which is 90% or more in countries like China. We got to wait for Android I think.
1572  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [PRE-ANN][GEMS]| SOCIAL MESSAGING APP THAT REWARDS ITS USERS |Gems public sale| on: November 14, 2014, 09:39:11 AM
Android at launch?

No.

Our mobile apps are completely native. We develop for each platform (iOS/Android) separately and that's in order to reach vey highest quality possible. Cross platform solutions like phonegap or appcelerator are cheaper to make but result in lower quality apps. Our iOS app is written in Objective C and our Android app will be written in Java. If you compare the underlying technology for other serious apps like WhatsApp or Facebook, you will see the same implementation choice. We need the presale funds to be able to develop and support both platforms. To keep things "fair" we can start the airdrop compensation model only when both iOS and Android apps are ready.

I don't mind at all Android no being available at launch but yeah I hope you can wait for the Android for the airdrops. You say CAN so I read that as not 100% decided. Please keep us informed of this and if it changes. What time scale are you thinking/hoping for the Android app to be done? There is an issue of fairness but also there is an issue of not waiting too long so it would be good if we know the time scale and maybe the community that develops can have a say.

1574  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Qora | Released 16 May | 100% POS | New Source on: November 14, 2014, 05:50:03 AM
I saw this post from the Bitbay team:

"This thread will definitely be the main channel of communication for the coming weeks and months. We are all long time forum members and understand how important a well moderated and updated thread here on Bitcoin Talk is for both excellent,, informative discussions and answering the community's questions."

Not to make too big a thing about it but its one thing that was sorely lacking for Qora. I personally believe it made/makes a big difference not having a constantly communicating team of some sort. I know it seems superficial but I think its crucial.
1575  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [PRE-ANN][GEMS]| SOCIAL MESSAGING APP THAT REWARDS ITS USERS |Gems public sale| on: November 13, 2014, 10:10:11 AM
Can it be made 100% clear if we will definitely have Android from day one of the distribution or not?   I'm reading different things in different places.
1576  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Qora | Released 16 May | 100% POS | New Source on: November 13, 2014, 04:44:39 AM

why would I use qora over XCP?

This

Trading on Counterparty is certainly not a breeze, with Bitcoin's long blocks.

Plus CP has 600BTC daily vol while Qora normally has 1BTC and people go crazy about CP when Qora was before it but gets a fraction of the interest and price. Why? dunno but its not logical. What is logical is Qora will rise at some point. I thought about selling some to trade but its a one way street, you can't easily buy back in in bulk if the market direction changes.
1577  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Qora | Released 16 May | 100% POS | New Source on: November 12, 2014, 02:00:28 PM
Renat0  has about 10B qora, which is 10% of total supply. This is insane.
He transfer 50M to bter. I guess the 10 sat wall(52M) is set by him.
He want to get more cheap qora, this is really crazy.
The sell wall is fake, some one can buy them all.
The holders has never increase, it still a game between stakeholders. There is no new comers.
Most of the coin be sold was buy by renat0.
The price will continue to fall.

Its true what someone said recently that if the community voted to keep the coin closed it cant complain that no one wants to buy it. Renat0 has been taking advantage of the low vol for months now. I expect most of the sells up to 20 sats are his to discourage any price moves. Hopefully OS will bring momentum back and blow them away.

Anyone know when we would get our coins and they can be traded again?

I have heard you say this (quote below) a couple of times, it concerns me that you are suggesting that the coins are not meant as an actual currency but only an in app advertising token. I'm guessing this is to tread carefully in regulatory environment but people should know they might never be able to use these coins outside the app to actually buy something basically?

If so you should be clear this is a closed system ultimately. Its not going to be attractive to users if they are told they can't actually buy anything at all with the gems. Therefore the main motivation to use this particular app disappears. And  can't imagine teenage girls trading the coins for Bitcoin on exchanges and then using BTC anytime soon.

"Gems are a product designed to be used to advertise on the Gems network. Until we have finished building the application and the advertising functionality Gems are still inherently tradable between users since this is a core functionality of the blockchain technology. The only reason you should be purchasing Gems is to use as an advertising credit in the future or in order to support the Gems application development."

The problem is the value of Gems is not based on the use as a currency but only as an advertisement payment. So even if you were get to have a few million users its not like Bitcoin where they are currency holders but the value is based on what advertisers will pay to connect to those million users. Which is a lot lot lot less than people think. Imagine a popular blog gets a million viewers, doesn't mean an advertisers ie Google ads will bring much revenue for the blog, some but its not much. Plus chat apps are not the best place for advertising anyway.

This is not a closed system as you are describing it. The intrinsic value we are bootstrapping into gems is derived from it's use as an advertising credit, however if it gains widespread adoption and price stability then it could certainly be used by people as a currency. From a technical point of view people could use Gems for whatever they want. We can guarantee that gems will always be usable as an in-app currency within the Gems application.

As the network grows and new features are added, some of those will require payment to sustain. Gems will always exist as a payment option for any value added features available in the app. Additionally, as new p2p reward models are created, new opt-in features will become available enabling sharing economy type activities, crowdfunding, and more. Since this is the first time the users will control the core value of the social network it is too early to predict what new novel ideas will come into existence.

Fair enough, just fact checking, but I saw this also in the whitepaper and it seemed like you were evading the use of Gems as a currency.
