~ It's interesting hearing the noise of the fight and the fighters talk along with the coaching staff,
Yeah it's nice hearing the impact of each solid punches and kicks when there are no noisy crowds.

~
UAE and the middle east has some filthy rich fight fans and i bet the ticket charges will be really high for the event.
The VIPs.

It looks like nobody is interested in the co-Main event Carlos Condit and Matt Brown. Are they both too old to your liking? Grin

I'm surprised to see over/under odds for Holloway vs. Kattar match. The under 4.5 at 2.4+ is really tempting.

Quote
At the time of writing the numbers are:

    Illiquid supply: 14.5 million BTC
    Liquid supply: 1.2 million BTC
Highly liquid supply: 3 million BTC

That means that around 78% of the circulating Bitcoin supply is considered illiquid.

1. Visit https://public.tableau.com/profile/ddmrddmr#!/vizhome/BitcointalkMeritDashboard/Rankings
2. Under "Section", choose "Local"
3. Under "Subsection", choose "Pilipinas"

2006  Local / Pilipinas / Re: ❗ Security Reminder on: January 07, 2021, 05:29:21 PM

Ten minutes ago (as of this posting):
BTC272 papuntang Coinbase
BTC1,440 palabas ng Binance
BTC1,000 papuntang Bitstamp

Non-custodial siguro ibig mong sabihin.

If you have gambled with bitcoins and you have kept your bitcoins intact or at least not lost, then you have done good business with the bitcoin these weeks.
I sometimes wonder if gamblers really continue to gamble or think it has been good enough and hold the bitcoins themselves without gambling in the hope that it rises further.
It's a matter of preference whether you gamble in BTC or in other cryptocurrencies. I gambled a few sats earlier and lost a bit. I guess that's fine if you don't think of the fiat value like an investor would or if you're getting them as dividends from staking. You mine BFG tokens from playing anyway which later rewards you with BTC, ETH, TRX.

2010  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Peso Cost Averaging sa Loan on: January 07, 2021, 04:54:52 PM
2011  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: Usapang merito. on: January 07, 2021, 04:22:25 PM
It goes both ways, more activity leads to more merits distributed.

~
Post activity per local board during December 2020

Once again Turkish local board has been the most active one, so last month wasn't just an exception, followed by Russian and German local boards. From what I could see, main reason why Russian board is not dominantly at the top like in all those previous months is due significant decrease in Russian altcoin section activity.

Majority of other local boards are keeping decent activity, but it is worth to mention that some of the numbers might be misleading due big amount of moved/deleted posts across several local boards, so they might appear less active than they actually were.

To be honest, I expected local boards to be even more active than in previous months due bull market, but I guess effects still haven't kicked in fully.

Merit shared per local board during December 2020

Once again there is a change at the top, German board having one of the best months since I am making these overviews, followed closely by Russian local board, with Turkish and Italian ranked 3rd and 4th. It's also nice to see two communities without local board  (Bangladesh and Pakistan) having decent merit activity considering total lack (AFAIK) of merit sources that are active in their thread.

Merit senders/receivers per local board during November 2020

Pretty straightforward chart in which more merit shared usually means more members involved, with a few standard exceptions.

Merit/Post ratio per local board during December 2020

Due high amount of deleted/moved posts in various boards which would affect this chart a lot, I decided to make an exception this month and beside monthly merit/post ratio to include ratio in the last 12 months, to give somewhat clearer picture of the situation.

Several boards lack either December or 12 months merit/post ratio, and that is due negative post count during last month or due lack of data for previous months. One exception here is Romanian board which would have more than 11 merit/post ratio during December due many deleted posts which would completely mess up this chart so I decided to exclude their monthly data and share only 12 months value.

As always, please don't read too much into this chart as it can be misleading, including 12 months values.

The most active members during 2020 per local board

So far in all these overviews I never mentioned the members that are keeping their local boards alive and active, but since it's a new year I decided to make an exception and mention the most active members in each local board. Due obvious reasons I can't mention each and every member that was active in local board, so I narrowed it down to ten most active ones, including their post count. I've decided to exclude few dead boards like Hebrew and Skandinavsk from this list.

~ Can I find somewhere the winners of the Christmas lottery? Or have they not yet been drawn?
The lottery is over as far AFAIK but the winners of the grand prize haven't been announced yet as of their official post on January 5. Maybe in two days at the time of prize distribution.

Those ETH lovers out there, Betfury just added it on the platform. One thing I like about it is that I can also earn it from staking BFG tokens. - ETHEREUM galaxy is reached!

In other words, nothing is the same as before and I do not dare to speculate at all what will happen by the middle or end of this year.
This I can relate to. It's better to just wait for BTC to fly as more big players are coming in. Even some of the day/swing traders I've followed in the past have switched to altcoins which is indicative that they find it riskier to short BTC at the moment.

I also know of someone who closed his position at $28-29K and boasted that he'll just come back in the fourth quarter of this year. I wonder how that will work out for him Huh (not really related to the topic, just sharing).

Two more Man City players tested as COVID positive - Goal keeper Scott Carson and midfielder Cole Palmer

They're probably not that important but I don't know if this will affect how the whole team performs later on.
2015  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gamblers - How do you use your signature campaign earnings? on: January 06, 2021, 03:55:06 PM
~ I’m curious, what do you do with your signature campaign earnings? Do you support your advertiser and gamble it on their platform, save it, or spend it?
In my case, it depends on where the payments are deposited. If it's on my personal wallet then I just keep or spend it when the need arises. If it's on my gambling account, I usually just let it stay there and bet on casinos/sports. I don't like wasting on fees from moving my funds in and out of the gambling platform. Once I withdraw, there's no coming back Grin

The lead up to the McGregor vs. Poirier 2 isn't as exciting as the first one. Both men grew - became somewhat mature - and had more respect for each other. In the first fight, Conor definitely won the mind games which he is quite known for. It will be different this time around but I still think he's more superior in striking and he's grown in other areas too. Dustin improved a lot as well, I just don't know if it's enough.
2018  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2020/2021 on: January 05, 2021, 04:12:12 PM
Let's accept our losses and move forward. I skipped the Liverpool match because I already lost 2 consecutive games before their match started and I'm so glad I did. That would have made it 3 losses in a row Grin

Is there anyone planning to bet on the EFL cup? Man United and Man City will face in the SF with City as the favorite to win at 1.9. Winner will meet Tottenham (game not finished but I'm calling it).
2019  Economy / Speculation / Re: Yes, you who are waiting, what is your excuse now? on: January 05, 2021, 03:50:05 PM
~ Let’s be realistic, the price above $30 000 is extremely high and unexpected, so small investors are left out and waiting for some new correction to re-enter. With Bitcoin one should always count on a surprise, but I ask you does anyone see a 50% correction as something realistic at this point?
BTC at $30K is not entirely unexpected because some people have been calling for it. Most of us just didn't listen. The 50% drop will only happen once institutional investors, who are also the major reason for the pump, starts leaving the market. As it is now, I don't see that happening anytime soon with the inflation caused by the pandemic.
2020  Local / Altcoins (Pilipinas) / Re: Abra: Suspending Monero (XMR), Zcash (ZEC), and Dash (DASH) on Jan 15, 2021 on: January 04, 2021, 04:56:52 PM
