2021  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: April 16, 2022, 10:03:55 AM
Wait what, did you mean that this game is scripted if it will end up in game 7? Anyways we have different perspectives in life But for me, this is not a scripted game cause in the first place they have different owner both company are aiming to win and become a champion to their promotion. Second I will not say that this is scripted because it takes game 7 but all I we can see is that an intense/close match between this two company.
Technically, there no script on every game because every players have their own roles with team and yes they are owned by different company and I don’t think they will enter into such deal that could affect their own reputation, let’s end this rumor and just focus on the games. Every players are doing their best to give a win for their team, if there’s a game 7 that is because of their hard work.
We might not know, the world comes with full of surprises and who knows what team owners does behind the scene and what do they tell to every GM up to the players. Few articles explaining it's not fixed will make the community believe. I'm not saying it's true but everything is possible.
Then let us not speculate anymore, fixed or not, it only depends on how we believe and we can't prove anything without an evidence.

By the way, tomorrow is game 5, let's enjoy game 5 and hopefully the betting spread will be not to high for the Ginebra Kings again, we still want to bet feeling they'll cover when they win.

06:30 PM
Smart Araneta Coliseum

from the official website : https://pba.ph/

A very crucial game for both teams, tonight we will see the handicap of this game, for sure Meralco will still be listed as the underdog but the question is how high the points handicap the Ginebra could give them. Since we are expecting to see a game 7, then might as well I would put my bet on the Bolts to win in game 5 on their moneyline odds.
2022  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [BOXING]: RYAN GARCIA vs EMMANUEL TAGOE - April 9 on: April 15, 2022, 01:23:07 PM

Anyways, he still have the power and agility needed. He can still make up for his mistakes and improve to be a much more better boxer than his latest performance.

Enough to convince us that Ryan Garcia is ready for his next big fight. He will be having a big fight next for sure, hopefully we will be able to see him fight this year. you like to see this one?

Ryan Garcia next fight: Eddie Hearn pushing hard for Maxi Hughes shot

A title holder, and his record
https://boxrec.com/en/proboxer/543029

Yes, that is already enough to convince us and that he is ready to have fight again but I don't think he will be ready against Kambosos, for now it is so risky for him. He still have a lot to improve especially his jab followed by his dominant hand as it could be deadly if an opponent cannot read his actions. So, Eddie Hearn is now looking forward to match Garcia against Maxi Hughes, I saw his record and he is 9 years older compared to Ryan Garcia but yes he can take that job to prepare Garcia more.
2023  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Errol Spence Jr vs. Yordenis Ugas 3-Belt Welterweight Unification Match on: April 15, 2022, 01:15:59 PM
For now, let's leave the discussion about it as this thread is for Ugas and Spence.

Exactly, let's discuss other things after this Saturday's fight.

Below are some options, actually my favorites options as most of my boxing bets are coming from this kind of market. Betting on Spence via Decision is not so attractive but for me this fight is money on the bag for Spence but I doubt he could KO Ugas. Your thoughts.

Errol Spence to win by decision is clearly the best choice for this fight, however, are we not underestimating Ugas? Similar to Spence he has a jab that he can use intelligently, he has good counter punches similar to what we have witnessed vs. Pacman and he can also pressure his opponent in the ring. Considering that this might be a close fight and boxing is a corrupt sport, I reckon also gamble on the draw hehehehe.

A draw? That might not happen in this fight, yes it will be a close fight but nah I'm not seeing any draw either. Your choice mate! Grin
Errol Spence to win against Ugas by a decision is a much safer bet, but somehow I'm thinking that maybe he can take down the latter by a knockout but it is a risky bet as winning by a decision is the highest chance I'm seeing in this fight.
2024  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: April 14, 2022, 02:10:52 PM
Sorry guys Spurs did not cover it. They had a good run in the last quarter but the Pelicans stopped them. JV is dominating the paint and there are many fouls that were not called. It's like they are using the playoffs rule already with no calls by just simple bumps.
1/2 for me as I thought the Spurs could win too but I am happy as I saw Pops smiling even if they are on a large deficit. I guess he is just satisfied with how the young guys are being competitive.

Hawks covered, by a lot.  Cheesy Cheers to the winners.

It's understable the Spurs loss because Pelicans is indeed strong. I'm disappointed on Hornets and Hawks match because they are supposed to have a close match yet Hawks massacre them without any mercy all through out the game. I thought my +20.5 is already sufficient to cover Hornets but they never show any sign of recovery even on last quarter. Next time I will not rely on the standing and focus on the momentum of the team.

You can see how experienced the Hawks are, although they are not that strong this season when they are in playoffs, they showed who they are. Remember that they reached the East Semi-Finals last season, so that experience really did help them to be better this playoffs.

It's still a play-in though as they are going to play the Cavaliers, but I believe they'll win even on the road.

Speaking of the Spurs, I wasn't excited watching them because they let CJ and Brandon scored easily, though they have their run, but it's too late already.

This is what I meant because regular games is really different compared to the pressure of play-in and playing in the playoffs and the Hawks have already that experience so it's quite easy for them to dominate the young Hornets. Against the Cleveland Cavs, I'm still going with the Hawks.

Yeah, it was on the last quarter when they had it but it was already too late because the Pelicans already buried them much early.
2025  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: April 14, 2022, 12:39:22 PM
The Hawks was just too much for the Hornets. I thought it would be a closer match and it looked to be that way after the first two quarter but Hawks just controlled the game in the second half.

Next up is the Pelicans and Spurs. With both Ingram and McCollum on the floor, Spurs will have a rough time guarding/defending. I'm leaning towards a NOP win.

LaMelo Ball have no one to compliment his assets, the kid have so much to bring in the team if they only have an alpha they could have figure out another way to face the Hawks, that said, the Hawks really dominates them and continues to advance to in the 2nd half.

While on the Pelicans vs Spurs, the Pelicans have won the game (113-103) .. as expected McCollum did well and followed by Ingram.
2026  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Inoue vs Donaire II discussion on: April 14, 2022, 11:49:41 AM

I don't have a doubt that Donaire is still the strong fighter that we have known since then even if this man is in aged now, what I mean is if we were going to refer to his recent fight against Gaballo we can say that Donaire has still the power in both hands and that will still be shown to his upcoming fight against Inoue for sure. However, this match is a rematch for the two great fighters and this time we can't tell if Inoue will still dominate the fight or it will be a chance for Donaire to win the game.

You are right, for now Donaire has a very good advantage but you have to think that Inoue has a very good technique, on the other hand I like to make an analogy between Donaire and GGG, both are fighters who are believed that due to their age they cannot have the same performance, but a user here in the forum said a comment that is absolutely right, and that is that as long as you stay active in sports you have active muscles and in turn have the experience that everyone would like to have, of course, this is not compared to youth, juventus is another power, but experience, as in everything, is worth it.

I've been into the boxing world since start of the Era of Manny Pacquiao and many people see the potential in this man after he represents the Philippines the name of Donaire are now continuously shining like the shadow of Manny and now he creates a good image into the world of boxing because of being flashy in the ring he called as the Filipino Flash which he work hard to it's speed and foot work I guess this match would bring a really good match and I vote for Donaire still.

Well he represents the Filipinos no doubt, but it was really Manny who bring the flag on the country into the limelight.

But at this time, it's Donaire that still carrying the torch because Manny has retired and hopefully Filipinos can continue to dominate boxing world because they are a very hard nose fighter and willing to give up everything in the ring. So with that said, Donaire should make the Filipino proud again if he can pull one of the biggest upsets, against Inoue although as I have said, the chance might be slim, but who knows.

It was Manny Pacquiao who made the Philippines more known and that Filipino boxers aren't to be underestimated easily, and yes I agree that Donaire now carries the torch for the Philippines until he retires like Pacquiao did and he will be followed by the new generations which is Magsayo and Casimero. Win or lose, the Filipinos are still proud of Donaire.
2027  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [BOXING]: RYAN GARCIA vs EMMANUEL TAGOE - April 9 on: April 14, 2022, 11:24:28 AM

It's fine mate, there's no use to think anymore because the fight is already done and wether we like it or not, Tagoe exposed him on what Ryan Garcia needs to improve and I'm seeing that it could benefit Garcia because he will know more what is needed to be done especially his jab.

The important thing is that Garcia have admitted that he lacks in that specific aspect and Tagoe did a good job to make the fight difficult for him.
If you have a nice track on how Garcia fights on his previous matches then you could really able to notice the difference of his jabs when it comes to precision and swiftness but this one do really lacks of that but somehow you could really still see that it is really fast but not really that much on the same when he was still before.

Ring rust and this is where people do speculate about it but it doesnt matter though and as been said that it did really show off on what are the flaws or problems that needs to adjust and
thanks to Tagoe to be the guinea pig. Cheesy

I think that is one weapon they wanted Garcia to developed and surely he used it a lot in this fight. And also we have to say that moving from one coach to another really affected the way he fight in this one.

And that's why it was a sort of 'different' version of him, that's why boxing fans and experts then try to find fault on his game plan and execution. And because he didn't get a knock out victory. But still, the kid is growing and for sure big fights for him are being set up by GBP after the Tagoe fight.
Lots had been saying that this was because of the new coach/trainer on why he fight up that way.You could really see his footsteps arent really that the same as before or he just simply underestimating Tagoe?

Cant really be denied the difference in power and speed but we are expecting  something more than that because thats not how Garcia punches but well what matter most is he ended up on UD.

Adjustments could be made later on if there are really some lapses or major changes which it isnt appealing.

Maybe but we cannot confirm that specific speculation if that's the one why Garcia's movements was different unlike to his past fights where he can dominate easily his opponents, and I think ringrust isn't the reason for this one.

Anyways, he still have the power and agility needed. He can still make up for his mistakes and improve to be a much more better boxer than his latest performance.
2028  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Errol Spence Jr vs. Yordenis Ugas 3-Belt Welterweight Unification Match on: April 14, 2022, 10:58:23 AM
^^ Yeah, that is a big possibility, wait and see for Crawford right now, and it's a win-win situation. But it also make sense for him to sign with PBC because it is one of premier boxing promotion and they have a complete line up of good welterweight.

And by Spence winning against Ugas, and then Crawford signing with PBC because he wanted to get Spence, then that is a big possibility. But for now, Crawford is going to watch the fight for sure and decide after the fight itself.

Indeed, it's a win-win situation. That's much better rather than just barking and wait for the other dog (Spence) to bark back at him to make a fight happen, and surely PBC can make that fight into reality for him and leave Spence a no choice if ever he will be hailed victorious against Ugas.

For now, let's leave the discussion about it as this thread is for Ugas and Spence.
2029  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: April 13, 2022, 04:14:16 PM
Does anyone here take the Clippers ML live?
KAT already has 5 fouls, and he might sit for a while as they want to preserve him in the 4th quarter, LA Clippers can take advantage of this situation.

What do you think?

I think Clippers got this despite 4pts deficit with 4mins in the clock. Paul George is very good on crucial match like this. I already place a +4.5 for the Clippers just to be on the safe bet. KAT is already tired and cautious on his defense so his effect will not gonna be the same as the earlier quarter. I hope Clippers really got this.  Cheesy

Turns out the decision was wrong, Clippers were already at a very comfortable lead, and KAT was already fouled out but Timberwolve made a huge run and beat the Clippers. PG was hitting 3 point shots, but I think it was a wrong play for the Clippers to rely on PG, they did not share the ball well compared to what the Timberwolves are doing.

I really thought that the Clippers were going to get the spot because I've watched the game in the first half and they even managed to dominate the Timberwolves in the first 3 quarters but I was shocked when I saw the result that the Timberwolves have won, yes they over relied to Paul George to carry the team whereas the Timberwolves have shared the ball.
2030  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Inoue vs Donaire II discussion on: April 13, 2022, 03:36:26 PM
Can others stop mentioning age as the factor here? Why not just focus on real-boxing analysis and technicalities?

It's already proven that Donaire's age is not a disadvantage here. He still fights on his usual. He never will be rusted or slow down since his training is regular and he didn't become inactive for years. He always has the fight.

He got the record of the oldest boxer to get the WBA title and even defended it successfully by a KO win. Can we still consider age as a factor there?

I cannot really understand why there's some people who still considers that age can really become a factor for a boxer to be in a disadvantage and increases his chances of loss, we know that somehow it could take some toll but it's not that really risky because Donaire here has been in the industry for more than 2 decades and still getting some fights almost every year.

Besides, this fight won't be interesting if it is already clear that Donaire will lose. Right?
2031  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [BOXING]: RYAN GARCIA vs EMMANUEL TAGOE - April 9 on: April 13, 2022, 02:26:09 PM
Tagoe managed to exposed the weakness of Ryan Garcia that is nice that he managed to do it but the problem is if Garcia is now fulfilling this shortcomes he has but I think a few months of training is not enough though even if he can train those weaknesses I think it is not yet or far to be perfect.

I like to ask, what was the weakness you are talking about?

Sorry, because I believe Ryan Garcia really dominated the fight and Tagoe was just there to survive and take a good cut on that fight.
Did Tagoe even hurt Ryan Garcia? If Tagoe goes for a toe to toe fight, for sure that would not last 12 rounds.

Garcia dominated the fight? Please watch the replay and you will see he is having difficulty.

I think you are just referring to the boxer's name and don't bother to watch even the highlights. Tagoe put Ryan on his limits and we should give him credit for that. Ryan is not even satisfied with his performance even though he wins.

Agree with the above, OP can now consider locking this thread as we might see other analysis that is supposedly not associated on the fight.

I agree! Ryan Garcia himself isn't really satisfied to his own performance about the fight and he also admitted that he have a lot of aspects that he needed to improve to make his punch more fatal because he already have the agility to do it. Even if Tagoe was defeated by Garcia, he needs to have that credits because he managed to expose the latter's weaknesses and one of those weaknesses was the lack of defense that got him knocked down when he faced Campbell before.

Either way, Garcia's victory isn't that much of a big deal because it was just a UD. IMO Smiley
2032  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Errol Spence Jr vs. Yordenis Ugas 3-Belt Welterweight Unification Match on: April 13, 2022, 01:58:59 PM
Going back to the topic, the outcome of this fight would also dictate the possible fight of Crawford, and if Ugas would win, I think it will be easy to make the fight happen because if Spence will win, they'll play the purse sharing issue.

Terrence Crawford is a free agent. After his fight with Shawn Porter I thought he would sign with DAZN right away. Official DAZN fb page was posting a lot of Crawford pictures congratulating his victory over Porter while there was zero PBC or Showtime post. And DAZN is obviously the richest boxing network right now. But lately, there are rumors circulating that PBC is offering Crawford a deal. First he fights Danny Garcia and then later he can have Spence. I am curious though, why the need for Crawford to fight Danny Garcia first before Spence. Crawford is turning 36 next year, not a prime age anymore. So I am still hoping Ugas can pull an upset this weekend.

Yes, he is a free agent now because after he fought with Shawn Porter he didn't re-sign again for the Top Rank for the fact that Bob Arum didn't gave him the a fight against current heavy names in the industry. Although the rumors weren't confirmed if Crawford really had a deal with PBC but Eddie Hearn of DAZN believes that these two had a deal.

Eddie Hearn Believes Terence Crawford Signing With PBC

Maybe Crawford is just waiting for the result of this match, and if ever Spence jr wins, most likely he will sign with PBC an then request for a fight with Spence.

So Spence can't make any excuses because it's his promotional company that are going to insists for this mega-fight. For sure the split might be amicable for both sides and Spence can't run anymore.

I thought about that too and there's a high possibility that Crawford already have a plan to make the fight happen as he already called Spence to fight him numerous times, while Spence on the other hand was busy avoiding Crawford and leaving the people so curious. So, signing with the PBC will indeed make that fight happen. But if in-case Ugas wins then I think Crawford don't need PBC's umbrella for that.
2033  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: April 12, 2022, 04:09:03 PM
The sad part is he was not informed early until it was leaked to ESPN. Ouch! Surprises. Lakers management does love that.  Grin
Now the roster, we might be surprised too in the next days to come or before the season starts again. I bet they are going to overhaul that roster again and seek players that are younger. Who knows, they might be done with making a veteran lineup again.
Where would Howard go that will make him more productive and be back with 20+ minutes per game? I wish a team signs him up. It's too cheap for just $2.6M for an agile 37 years old.
He will be a great asset for this era being dominated by 3 giant players.

Well! that's just how it is if the management doesn't like the result of your hard work and you failed to give them the championship they wanted to further expand their profits from the Lakers merchandise and other stuff. The question is, who will gonna replace Frank after this season? I'm sure it will be a huge challenge for whoever it will be because they will gonna overhaul the entire roosters and they gonna trade Westbrook
The fact that they already fired Frank Vogel then I assume that they are already eyeing someone else to do the vacant job. The Lakers management have those money to hire coaches again but the question is, does this new future head coach can give them the goal they want? We'll see about that soon. It's just sad for me to think that after Frank Vogel gave them a championship title last 2020, he will be just fired just like that without getting informed before it was leaked.
2034  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: April 12, 2022, 03:35:59 PM
Nets -8 against Cavaliers
Clippers +2.5 against Wolves.
I like this pick and I am riding it.
Just some touches on the spreads since I think it changed between you took the bet and now. -9.5 for the Nets and +3.5 for the Clippers.
Time for the Nets to show they want that playoff so bad they should win this.
The Clippers on the other hand might be given a hard time by the Wolves as they became competitive these past games. I will put Batum for KAT for an inside and outside defense or maybe Morris.
Good luck.

Yes, same here I'll definitely put my bets to the Nets. The spread moved since @stadus posted his bets but a -9.5 spread will somehow be covered because they even managed to dominate the Cavs last time they've met with a double digit lead.

For the Wolves and Clippers game, it'll be intense and a close game for sure. Might do a live betting on that.
2035  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Your NBA Champion this season? on: April 10, 2022, 09:11:24 PM
Definitely the Suns to lose here this year.  They are stacked up and down and with cp3 at the helm they are in good hands.  My flyer at 15-1 odds is the Grizzlies.  They are young yeah but they are so good.  They will have a tough matchup against the Suns or the Jazz, other than that I can't see them facing tough competition in a 7 game series.  Riding the Grizzlies at 15-1!
Great choice, I am seeing the value on the Grizzlies as well, they played plenty of games without Morant and yet they are still winning games. I can't believe at first but I realize, why not give them a chance, this team is on the 2nd straight in the playoffs, they might have learned a lot in their first appearance, one thing also, Morant is now healthy.
2036  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Desktop wallet vs Mobile wallet on: April 10, 2022, 02:27:03 PM
I will always go with a desktop wallet as for me it's safer than a mobile wallet.

However, there are wallet providers that would let you link your desktop wallet to your mobile wallet, I think this is safe because if you lose your phone, you can still access those in your desktop wallet, but you have to be aware that taking care of your desktop wallet is more important especially if you have files that are required to access your wallet if you decide to open your wallet in other devices.
2037  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: April 10, 2022, 01:32:18 PM

My early pick. .. I got Spurs ML and Clippers -11.5

1-1.. Got the Clippers but lose to the Spurs, should have bet on the spread only.  Smiley

Anyway, I have some early picks again,

Dallas (-10.5), and Clippers (-10.5).

@ralle14, same pick, good luck to us.

Honestly, I don't feel betting now that the season is about to end, the game could be more unpredictable but based on my observation, the favorites in the betting would usually win and cover the spread because probably they want to bring that momentum in the playoffs or the play-in. So with that said, I would like to say good luck to you because you choose the heavy favorite.
2038  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Errol Spence Jr vs. Yordenis Ugas 3-Belt Welterweight Unification Match on: April 10, 2022, 12:38:26 PM

Just like when we are discussing a GGG vs Canelo Trilogy even if they still have an upcoming fight, well in the case of GGG, he already win his fight against Murata.

And with that, it increases the chance that the trilogy will happen because Canelo is also a heavy favorite to win against Dmitry Bivol.
The odds BTW, https://www.oddschecker.com/us/boxing-mma/boxing/dmitry-bivol-v-saul-canelo-alvarez

I hope to see this soon, for sure it's not a problem for Canelo to fighting this year again if he wins this May, and there's plenty of time, so both fighters could prepare for this big fight, it doesn't matter if it will be in the last quarter of the year as long as it will not be postponed.
2039  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: April 10, 2022, 11:48:51 AM

Ginebra -1.5 @1.84 vs Bolts, the handicap will increase as the game approaches like the last game so better bet now.

I believe, the opening was -2.5, it was now down to -1.5.. Hmmm... I smell something fishy with this line movement, I don't know but I have a feeling that Meralco will win tonight, might as well take the live bet, I'm taking the Boltz if Ginebra will have an early good lead.

An intense first quarter with Ginebra taking the driver's seat 27-22, I think this will be a close game so your strategy of betting for the Bolts when Ginebra is leading might work in this game.

Brownlee is in a beast mode, hope he can sustain this until the end of the ball game.

Ginebra had a double digit lead but they finish with 8 points lead in the first half. We are now in the 2nd half and Meralco seemed to be coming back. I got Meralco +6.5 during the break, just in case they'll lose, at least I have an extra points to fight for.
2040  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: April 10, 2022, 10:48:19 AM

Back to the Lakers, I agree, Lebron wanted to carry these guys to another championship but too bad Anthony Davis was hurt so the wish won't come true.
Maybe next time. If there will be one, or if they keep them.

If only they were able to find the right chemistry, then they could have achieved a good ranking despite Davis's injury in the season. The problem is, even if Davis are playing, they are still struggling against a strong team because of their chemistry problem, players are not in synch and sometimes Westbrook are just throwing bricks that would result to a lose of the team.

If Westbrook remain a triple double machine, then for sure they are still in the playoffs.

Enough for this, we cannot turn back the time, let's just make it simple and tag the lakers to have failed this season. Their journey is over, next season it will be a different roster as some will be traded for sure. Maybe let's move to the play-in discussion.

What teams do you think will play against each other, and your winner?
