2461  Economy / Securities / Re: [GLBSE] Bitcorp Mining Company - BTCMC 50+ GH/s, clear ASIC upgrade path. on: July 05, 2012, 03:09:25 PM
I've just seen this thread & not sure to post here or the original one, anyway I just received my first interest payment of shares purchased last month, it seems that the dividend was @ BTC0.049867 per share & not as listed on the GLBSE offering of BTC0.125 per share, I expected a two & a half times higher ROI - this is totally unacceptable & you need to urgently sort this out with GLBSE as it is blatantly misleading.

I request that you agree to buy these shares back from me at cost due to miss-selling & await your response, thanks.

BTCMC split shares 10x, and thus the dividend was also split. Nefario refuses to let Yochdog change the contract on GLBSE.

thanks for the info, I would really appreciate a full reply to my post from the OP though & am surprised that he hasn't as yet seen fit to do so

Sorry for the delay in response.  Diablo is indeed correct.  After the 10 for 1 split, I have been unable to change the contract despite my attempts to contact Nefario.

This months dividend was more than 3x what we announced, in an attempt to smooth over investor angst about the contract snafu.  We apologize for the confusion, and hope nefario will eventually help us make the change to the contract.

Hi, thanks for the response, I saw the offer on GLBSE & entered in to a very clear contract with you:

"Full contract:

Ownership entitles the holder of record to dividends paid monthly on the first of each month. Current dividends are set at .125 BTC per share, per month."

As stated I received 2.5 times less than I was contracted to receive, there was no warning that you had changed this & no link in the blog section or else where warning that these conditions may be changed without notice, if you were unable to change the public terms then in my opinion you should have closed out the issue & opened a new offering with the correct terms, maybe you didn't wish to pay a re-listing fee but the result is perfectly clear which is you are falsely promising a return far higher than you intended to pay then ignoring my request to buy back your mis-sold shares so I would appreciate you making this right by buying the 500 shares I have listed for sale & addressing the issue on GLBSE so that it doesn't happen again to some one else, many thanks.

Bitcoin's horoscope for Thursday July 05, 2012

Did any alchemist in history ever truly succeed in turning lead into gold? How do we know? Those who managed it would surely never have advertised the fact. They would have been besieged by people trying to make them share their secret. If you had such powers, what would you do? I venture to suggest you would just quietly get on with the process of transformation and find a cover story to explain your new- found wealth. Something, somewhere surprisingly nearby to you, is potentially worth far more than you think.

Uranus today gives you the feeling that you want to take risks and have thrills. But a few days later you may look back and wish you hadn't been so impulsive. So you have to watch that you're not going too over the top.

Bitcoin's horoscope for Wednesday July 11, 2012

There is no short cut to achievement. It will come through perseverance and self discipline and you will gain the respect of other people. There is a real chance that your reputation will be solidly established now.

Bitcoin's horoscope for Friday July 13, 2012

You may be acting rather unpredictably at home at the moment, maybe because you feel controlled in some way. You don't want to be stuck in routines and are looking for more adventure. But what you want at the moment may not be what you want later on, when you settle back down. So don't go too far out on a limb. Maybe you do need to talk through money matters with close partners. Everyone has to be clear what the agreements are.

Bitcoin's horoscope for Monday July 16, 2012

Disciplined Saturn is now in your chart area which rules career so your work ambitions are the most important thing in your life. Status is vital to your self esteem now so redouble your efforts to gain the praise of those whose judgement you really trust.

Bitcoin's horoscope for the week of July 16, 2012

If you can co-operate you will achieve a great deal. Try and find new solutions to old problems. This requires ingenuity and maybe more subtlety than will come naturally in the heat of the moment. Try to avoid crashing your way ahead.
2463  Economy / Securities / Re: [GLBSE] Pirate Pass Through Bonds! on: July 05, 2012, 01:15:38 PM
@cedus, it's .32 BTC insurance I believe

last week just 3 bonds would have sold if the minimum had been 1.04 or 1/1000 of the issue, the maximum interest is now then 24% or 6% per week which with funds insured for 32% gives 8.825% interest per week on funds that are actually at risk which is more than can be found anywhere else even direct from pirate on max interest, in fact a bid of 1.09 still would give a 7% per week return on funds at risk so not shabby at all, I wouldn't be too quick in writing off these offerings - ppl have basically been getting free insurance recently but when factored in this new minimum bid price is extremely fair imo
2464  Economy / Securities / Re: BS&T -- Are you staying or leaving? on: July 04, 2012, 11:20:32 PM
It seems that some mod/s removed my innocuous post on the last page of the Bitcoin Savings and Trust thread, WTF it was mildly pro pirate & mildly humorous & totally non offensive, could whoever did this kindly own up to it & explain why as that thread is now locked - I doubt that I will participate in this forum going on otherwise, thanks

The post was that I would now have to master IRC & a disclaimer that I was a fully invested with pirate both directly & via pass-throughs

I would rather listen to the organ grinder than the monkeys in any case

....

Wow, this really needed censuring  Shocked  maybe I get banned now for daring to repeat it  Sad

Rules of the Right Angles

The Moon is full, Mars is changing signs and the world is still reeling from the first of seven right angles between Pluto and Uranus. This took place on June 24. The next culminates around September 19. There will be two more next year, in May and November. Yet another two will come in April and December of 2014. The last one occurs in March 2015. These are part of the same sequence. Then there won't be another 'square' or right angle till 2073. Before our eyes, the old rules of how the world runs are being rewritten!

Bitcoin's horoscope for Monday July 03, 2012

Mars, planet of dynamic energy is in your chart area which rules career and reputation, so you are hugely ambitious, very determined at the moment and intend to work hard to gain your ends. From close partnerships, you really want more support than you are getting, and indeed the freedom to please yourself. It may be unreasonable but that's the way you feel. Maybe it would be best to back off just briefly until you have a clearer idea of what you can sensibly expect.
2468  Economy / Long-term offers / Re: [BitcoinMax.com] Paying 6.9% per week... Small accounts welcome. on: July 03, 2012, 01:30:04 AM
it's like a savings account & a checking one

anyone attempting to use bitcoinmax as a checking account or online wallet, will quickly discover it's not suited to that purpose at all.

although i try to pay out withdrawals as quick as I can, they're always subject to availability and may take up to 24 hours even for small amounts, as i may myself need to make a withdrawal from BST.

OK sry, 3.30AM wrong example, it's like a secondary savings account that I'd be more likely to dip in to if needed - which incidentally I don't plan to do in the foreseeable future anyways as it's the best non direct pirate or any other deal out there atm & also best web site, run, etc... by far.

edit: I tend to keep my direct pirate investment constant.
2469  Economy / Long-term offers / Re: [BitcoinMax.com] Paying 6.9% per week... Small accounts welcome. on: July 03, 2012, 01:02:50 AM
Hi Otoh,

isnīt that made automatically?   last week i think it was right at 21 UTC with interest already included in this weeks balance when not withdrawn.

Isn īt your account with the captain directly?

Cheers Zyk

You're quite right, it was made at 21:00 UTC as were previous ones, don't know why I had 24:00 hrs jotted down (edit: I think that I had it confused with my local time or something), very much appreciated too pay.bc - I think that BitcoinMax will be a big winner from these new pirate rates as will his pass through investors.

Yep, I have a full 7% account with pirate but also invest through BitcoinMax so as to leave my pirate account constant without making any withdrawals or even PMs so hopefully trouble free for him, for 0.1% less I'm more than happy to pass through here & if I needed to make withdrawals & adjustments to the total invested would rather do it here - it's like a savings account & a checking one though actually I haven't needed to take any out of the checking & don't plan to soon but nice to have that flexibility if needed.

Since pirate's top rates are now going to be for deposits of BTC5k + I may well move most of my pirate investments here next month depending on what BitcoinMax offers, I also buy some of the GLBSE PPTs & goat's TYGRR.B-P ~ the more the merrier  Smiley

Bitcoin's horoscope for the week of July 02, 2012

The annual Full Moon in your sign Capricorn. That's one of the most auspicious omens you ever get to see - or be influenced by. That's your promise of salvation, redemption, relief and reassurance. Actually, it is more than that. It is a celestial suggestion of an almost alchemical process, suggesting the imminent ability to turn some kind of lead into some kind of gold.

Cool, edited out the old table, it would be easiest to find though if you put an up-dated table in a new post (I'll C&P it to one otherwise just so that I can find it easily  Wink ) & that would leave the old one/s as useful historical records imo. Also I'm still not quite clear on exactly which day (& UTC) the compound interest gets paid/credited, many thanks  Smiley

sub

No need to sub anymore. Use the brand new "watch" button at the bottom, then hit your watchlist instead of the show new replies link.

advantage is that later on you can also simply un-watch if you choose, instead of needing to go back & delete all your posts in the thread to do so
2477  Economy / Speculation / Re: Crash!!!! on: June 29, 2012, 03:54:30 PM
Is the Quasimodo formation bearish or bullish?

bullish-er than the past shoulder was, so long as he's facing you that is - which given the 2nd shoulder at 6.66 is higher already than the first we can safely assume so, the first shoulder topped out at 6.60 - the head at 6.80 - so 6.70 would make for a nice hump

this implies of course that later on we shall see the classic climbing of the cathedral bell tower & church steeple formations
2478  Economy / Long-term offers / Re: Starfish BCB - Loans and Deposits (deposit rate 1.5%/week from 1 July) on: June 29, 2012, 02:54:30 PM
I decided to capture the last sixteen characters of the deposit address as that is harder to trace, and anyone may request their address/information be removed.  I'm also likely to simply edit/update this particular message than clutter the thread.

table edited out

hi, I'd much appreciate if you could update this list in a new post once a week, just after you've payed the interest to those who are receiving it compounded, on Friday (or Saturdays), many thanks! Sry if you were planning to do this anyway later today.

*optional payout address lock
+1 for this there would need to be a lock on transfers of shares too & probably also a lock on any buying or selling

Email when a trade has gone through
+1 & when sent funds are received (cleared to account balance)

& please fix the charts as so many have asked to only show the relevant bids/asks that are within say 15% of last price like Intersango does, or just remove them until this gets fixed if it's going to take forever.
2480  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Intersango Exchange on: June 29, 2012, 11:18:00 AM
Why does the Intersango order book have orders for negative amounts of bitcoins in it?

https://intersango.com/orderbook.php?currency_pair_id=2

Their charts go wonky like that after they've been open for a while, I pointed it out many weeks ago by asking myself to post a thread for it, but it's obviously not a priority of theirs to get fixed, just refresh the page to get them back to normal & you'd need to take a screenshot to show your particular example btw.
