Evening all!

I've just created a spreadsheet to track the entries, I'll also add it to the OP.

Quote
@Cloudbet, I'd recommend mentioning in your post that brand new accounts or newbies can't participate, if you don't want to get flooded with alt accounts trying to climb their way on top of the vine Cheesy

@KingZee & @LTU_btc - It's a very valid point. Problem is i'm promoting this on Twitter as well and I recognise some of the usernames that have come from there, so it's hard to tell who are legit newbies and who are the alts.

I don't want to change the T&Cs on the fly as it seems a bit crappy after the competition has launched, but I'll factor this in to my next competition plans - maybe it's time to run something unique to reward our older Cloudbet players and BitcoinTalk friends specifically.

Quote
P.s. That’s it? Just name the winner and it is? I could have easily written “MU” and participate?
Well that is super easy  Smiley

@TopTort777 - It's that easy! Grin

Quote
Interesting competition, thanks you Cloudbet for it. It will be very tough, because we don't have right to make mistakes.

Unless you back your bet one week for a safety net!  Cool

Quote
Hi, just to make sure - no registration on Cloudbet needed?

@cryptofrka - A Cloudbet account would be needed to claim the prizes from the early rounds (Free spins, Risk Free Bet) but not for the BTC currency prizes. Of course I'd prefer everyone to have a Cloudbet account, but this is just supposed to be for fun and I'm not a huge fan of adding a ton of rules to our competitions   Smiley

Quote
By full time you mean regular time + referee add on (3 mins usually), not possible extra time (2x15 minutes).

@Trofo - Yep, full time plus injury time, NOT extra time/penalties.

Quote
I don't know why forum moderator deleted my post. Hmmmm

@BlackMambaPH - It might have been due to the low word count - to be safe next time you might want to write a little extra.

I'd recommend the following interesting topics: 'Leyton Orient: The best team in the world?', 'My 5 favourite fast food burger restaurants and why', and 'why is Ronnie so awesome?'  Wink

Have a great night everyone!

@fossero0310 - Could you please PM me your Cloudbet nickname? I'll contact support and get an update for you ASAP.

@4x4et and game-protect - Welcome back! You two always seem to show up within minutes of each other after long absences, it's quite the coincidence...  Wink

Thanks,

Ronnie @ Cloudbet
663  Economy / Gambling / Re: Cloudbet | Bitcoin Casino & Sportsbook | The No.1 Bitcoin Gambling Site on: January 22, 2019, 11:49:09 AM
since the thread has been gloriously free of support issues

I had to say it didn't I  Wink

@Akferrari13 - Thanks for getting in touch and sorry to hear you are running into some issues with our service.

We've had some similar reports about the missing lines from players on here before, and thanks to the detail provided by players like yourself, our sportsbook teams are getting closer to locating the cause of the issue and providing a fix. I'll post any updates I receive on the investigation ASAP on here.

Regarding the minimum stakes, could you please let me know the event you were trying to bet on? Our minimum should be 0.0001 BTC so if it's higher theres a good chance there's a bug causing it and I'd like our teams to take a look into this for you.

I'm not sure what could be causing your bets to not be placed, but if you let me know your Cloudbet nickname I'll ask out support teams to investigate for you. I know we had a small amount of downtime recently with updates from providers, but it shouldn't effect your ability to bet in the longterm.

The KYC verification is only requested when certain flags have been raised, usually as a way of confirming account ownership so we can ensure our players funds are secure.

Thanks very much,

Ronnie @ Cloudbet

Arsenal 1 - 2 Man. Utd.

I forgot to make it clear, but this competition is just for predicting the winner of each match (or a draw if that's your prediction), yours will count as a prediction for Man Utd to win unless you want to change your mind before the deadline  Smiley

The sporting event for the first round will be announced on Monday 21st January

The deadline for entries will close on Saturday 19th January, so check back before then to make your prediction!
could you explain the above Huh

Yep, that's just me being stupid - good spot, i'll change it now!  Grin

I have a few questions, are these prizes only available after 9 weeks and does this mean if i make it to cloud 2 or any other cloud and and fail to progress...a safety bet will allow me to start off from where i left?

The prizes will be paid out after each week. You get paid from the pot you fail to progress from.

And what happens if i make it to cloud three and stop playing still the end of the competition will i be among the players claiming this pot??

and lastly all who fail to progress from cloud 1 automatically qualify for the shared prize? IF this is the case isnt 250 spins a little shy as the probability for people to be knocked out in their first try is high Roll Eyes

If you stop playing you will 'lose' on the week you don't make a prediction, and will be paid out from that week's prize pot.

If you fail to progress from Cloud 1 you will split that pool of free spins.

I did have some trouble balancing the prize pools for the different stages so it's definitely up for debate, but i'm hoping that we see more people dropping out near the top, rather than on the first level.

Let me know if anything is unclear or you have any other questions, I'm very happy to answer  Smiley

Thanks,

Ronnie @ Cloudbet
669  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: 🏆Cloudbet's Cloud 9 Predictor Competition! Free Entry + 0.47 BTC Prize pool! 🏆 on: January 18, 2019, 09:31:23 AM
Morning all!

Fun format! Cheesy Its about to go down in the next 9 weeks.

Few questions :

Players split the pot of the Cloud they LOSE on, winners move on to next stage.

What if a single player manages to stay high enough? For example by the time we reach the 6th week, only one managed to make it, shouldnt he win the pool every time he wins? Or will it go unclaimed?

Honestly I hadn't thought about this, so thanks for bringing it up! I think the best way to do it is if there's one player left, and they manage to keep advancing, then they will receive all of the pot for the Cloud they finish on. Any funds that go unclaimed will be used for a raffle or added to next month's competition prize pool.

I'm open to suggestions though Smiley

Players start on Cloud 1 and each successful prediction will move them up.

Does this mean any player can re-start from Cloud 1 once they get disqualified if there are still more weeks ahead? They wont be able to reach the max prize but they are allowed to play again right?

Unfortunately once you are out, then you are out for good  Shocked

I might play with the format for future competitions (adding buybacks?), but I wanted to trial this as a take on the 'last man standing' predictor competitions I've seen in other places.

What format will the games be? Do we need to predict the score or just the winner? Cheesy Because one of these two is downright impossible.

Thanks for all the giveaways! Your competition formats are the most fun Ive seen done in here.

Unless we get high up the ladder with a large number of people still in, I'll likely stick to a simple Win/loss format to keep it simple (or win/loss/draw for relevant spots like soccer)

So the safety bet/safety net can be used only once during the 9-week long event?

Correct! My advice would be to save it for a week that you are completely unsure of the result, like a match with very close odds or a sport you aren't too familiar with.

Any other questions then please let me know! As I said this is a new format I'm trialing so i'm half-expecting there to be a few issues along the way, so if you spot anything then please drop me a message here or via PM.

I'll be announcing the first sporting event on Monday, but here's a hint: We'll be kicking things off with a cup tie!  Wink

Thanks, and have a great weekend!

Afternoon all!

Thanks to all the winners for sending over your details, I've just spoken to our payments team who have said they will process the winnings first thing tomorrow morning (they are UTC+8 I think?) so you should have your BTC in your wallet by lunchtime.

I'll check back tomorrow to make sure everything has gone smoothly, but if you could please post or send me a DM to confirm delivery then that would make my life easier  Wink

Thanks again, and have a great day!
