It's not the high return in a short time only, OP. It's also the cheapest way for them to earn "dirty money" without risking any of their stuffs and this is why there would always be scammers, not just in crypto but also those who are just using fiat. Back in May this year, I recall even being scammed for a GPU in FB Marketplace amounting to $200 and now my trust in that marketplace is broken beyond repair. Good thing I am in a good place now.

These scums/scams, whether using crypto or not or even both, will continue to do their own thing and it is sad that there are some authorities that are easily bribed by these especially if they are group of people. I recall that being mentioned by Jim Browning, which is a scambaiter, in one of his videos. smh
682  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bounty hunters, how much you really earned in the last two years? on: December 17, 2022, 09:48:58 PM
~
Back around late 2017 when I tried a bounty specifically signature campaign bounties since I do not have a lot of followers in my social media profile that time, I think I only earned around <$20 when I sold my tokens from a bounty in here, not that I did care anyway since it was like trying get my feet wet on how much do altcoins usually get worth after ICO ends. I believe I was a Member rank that time. It ain't worth it. $20 might be have a bit of more value here in my country considering that I live in a 3rd world country, but I would rather just freelance than doing that.

Can't imagine that there would be users going really far to break the rules like you mentioned on the first part just to pursue those while plenty of opportunity awaits outside.

Instead of pursuing bounties further early 2018, I just invested my time to learn web dev. Way more fun! Cheesy

683  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Demo Account, Should Not Be Related To A Real Account on: December 17, 2022, 09:26:28 PM
~
This was one of my thoughts when I was thinking of using virtual account to trade or at least practice my day trading knowledge. Now I know why I was right that I should not used those as it is entirely a different experience when you trade with your own real money rather than the other way around.
When using demo account, you might not give a shit at all on how much you lose since you are not losing money anyway.
The mental pressure is different when you are using your own money for real.
684  Economy / Economics / Re: A career - as an employee or a business owner which do you prefer and why? on: December 17, 2022, 06:25:54 PM
Currently I'm still 28 years old and I have been working for about 5 years, and I think working is a boring thing because it does not increase skills and of course a very small salary, I live near the sea and many lobster farmers, I also plan to become lobster entrepreneurs because of more income high than being an employee.
Well you still have the means to quit your job anytime anyway. You could potentially invest those earning in your 9-5 job to being an entrepreneur although it might be a little risky if your business did not take off in the end.
Business owners are obviously the boss themselves so it is not surprising that they have higher income than those who works for them. Considering how expensive lobsters even is, let alone in restaurant, I would be looking forward to the lobster business that you are planning to build in the future.
685  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Will there ever be any safe centralised exchange ? on: December 17, 2022, 06:19:15 PM
~
Well there are different mindsets anyway. For starters, it would not really hurt to start first in relying your coins to a trusted third party. There would be factors such as KYC that would make people just stop using these centralized exchange and I gotta be honest that sometimes I just want to say "fuck it I'll hold it for now in a custodial wallet for its service offered as well".

There is no perfect security nor perfect safety, but we could help risking our money to strangers that would not think twice stealing our money. Back when I was day trading, I did not trade small amount but in the end I still withdrew it all.
686  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is the smart choice not the entire crypto industry on: December 16, 2022, 08:15:46 PM

Well I did have wrong perception about Bitcoin back then since I thought it was being used in the dark web and making me think that if I bought it then I might be waiting for a knife in my back one day, but I guess I was being paranoid through my lack of knowledge in crypto. Cheesy

Bitcoin is always going to better choice in the end, and I am not sure what your friend is really doing. Cheesy
No one wants some other authority managing their money in their own wallet.
687  Economy / Services / Re: [CFNP] Roobet.com Signature Campaign | The Honest Online Casino | Full Members+ on: December 16, 2022, 02:36:48 PM
Hi Hhampuz, I sent a message to you yesterday about ranking up to Senior Member.
If there's any spot for Sr Member, kindly count me in that position.

Many thanks!
688  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Just how bad is the bear market right now? on: December 15, 2022, 08:19:49 PM
Just how bad is the bear market right now?
Historically low prices have endured for a longer period of time in the present bear market cycle than in any other.
For many altcoins, it is not really looking good . I recall one of the conversations I had with my friend over a cup of coffee that he is a little bit nervous on how the market is going lately knowing that Bitcoin is going to dip below 50k  and surely altcoins are going to follow along since investors are dumping now.

~
It works for Bitcoin for sure, but we all know how bad it goes to many shitcoins out there. It just stays flat as dead. I would keep holding and buying Bitcoin during these days if I were some of those investors.
689  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: For them it's always about the money on: December 15, 2022, 08:10:00 PM

Can relate to this aside from what I previously mentioned in here. Youtubers like Crypto Jack (not sure if the channel is still active) taught me back then when I was just day trading. I never followed any single Youtubers shilled project ever since there is a high chance that it is a paid shill just like how common sponsorships Youtubers do in order for them to have additional commission aside from what they earn from monetization.

Non techy people might need to still watch some video about the project they are planning to invest though since it is common for such projects to be "too technical" for their comprehension and they might consider backing out in their investment.
690  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: We No Longer Pay People Directly on: December 15, 2022, 05:31:48 PM
~
Considering that people are commonly using bank cards these days and there are digital payment processors that are continuously being used a lot here in my country. I can imagine that if people would somehow just realize how great decentralization then they would all just start using Bitcoin although Bitcoin being global currency is not going to happen obviously since we have government that are surely going to try to regulate the usage of it through either taxes or horrendous fees.

People would still be used to fiat since it is the one that just became the usual stuff they got used to since.
691  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is the smart choice not the entire crypto industry on: December 15, 2022, 05:11:30 PM

Not sure if it is the other way around. Bitcoin does not give a single crap about government though we can say that it is kind of affected with FUDsters that brings the prices down. Government is the one having problem dealing with decentralized crypto like Bitcoin since it is entirely decentralized itself and the least thing they could do about it is just ban exchanges or disallow usage of crypto app or anything means necessary to put a stop on people trying to use Bitcoin, but still in the end people were still able to bypass those restrictions and bans though they might need to take extra precaution to not get caught of course.
692  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: NFT ?? What do you think about it ? ? ? on: December 14, 2022, 07:28:20 PM
I don't understand it either! It seems to me that this is some kind of wildness! The product must be worth its money or, in other words, the price must be justified! But I have such a suggestion! That when the price is put higher, it begins to seem that this product is really cool, but in fact it is not! It's kind of a trick! A marketing trick!!
Don't worry a lot of people like us do not understand the reasoning on why would people buy these digital images for a lot of coins rather than just buying some real stuff paintings that you could potentially post in a museum. Not sure about the craze of NFTs these days of December, but I am pretty sure it has already died out after Bitcoin just dipped for a while.

There are even NFTs in games that people are really crazy about and to be honest, it became trend in here that it became a money-making scheme back then. People applying to be scholars and stuffs and people pursuing it in every means possible. I never joined one because it is not really that interesting for me.
693  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Making post for merit on: December 14, 2022, 06:58:02 PM
~
I thought those users already scrapped the bottom of the barrel mid-2018 after creating threads like these, but I guess people would still do for the sake of merits. I even recall a lot of merit fishers here in Beginners and Help board posting quite a lot of threads about plagiarism like rules does not even exist in this forum. Cheesy

Those users are just pressuring themselves to earn merit and to rank up while it is not needed anyway.... unless they're here for some "specific" reason.
694  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: My advice If you are here to make money on: December 14, 2022, 05:53:45 PM

Yeah, I got you there, Yamifoud. I might go off topic for a little bit but it reminds me when I was learning web development that I prefer to be just a backend rather than the frontend. Cheesy
Anyways for each crypto users, whatever floats their boats anyway. Some works for others and some does not work for some people as well.

I missed those days when I was still learning day trading, but meh I doubt that I will be back to learning it again.

If the project just turned shit within few months after the Youtuber shilled the crap out of the project then you will obviously know that it is a paid or you mentioned it - "co-op". Their reputation as a Youtuber goes down with them anyway if they decided to bite the bullet for these. Some quality Youtubers won't bite these regardless and I even knew some Youtubers, though not really related to crpyto, that would expose some really suspicious sponsors from some company that they do not even knew nor have any great background or history.

When it comes to crypto anyway, I usually stay away from these project shills.
696  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: The patience to hold is a gift on: December 13, 2022, 06:39:00 PM
Holders can still sell in panic, those newbies panic sell because first, they are scared of losing (you should know at first that this is the part of holding a bitcoin), and second, they don't have knowledge at all, they jump in because of the hype. Holders should train their minds because holding is a mental game and a waiting game as to when the price goes up and sell it all as well as the patience as this will take years or more depending on your target price.
Sometimes it is, but sometimes it is not. The only key to it is finding other things to be distracted of since without any distraction, you'll likely to be looking too much into your investment on how much you earned within the day and it might even turn you unexpectedly into a day trader.

This was me back in 2018 when I was continuously repeating F5 and hitting refresh on the price of Bitcoin. Kind of annoying habit, I know but I grew out of it.
697  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin will not become the world currency. on: December 13, 2022, 06:28:58 PM
After I figured it out, I no longer expect Bitcoin to be recognized by the state, and it doesn't need to be.
You will still need countries to legalize Bitcoin and allow it to be used in your country. Because if your country prohibits it, then you won't be able to transact there, whether it's for trading or for service payments.
I am pretty sure that even if Bitcoin was not sort of "legalized" in your country, you can still do P2P transactions with it. You might not be able to access such sites or exchanges to buy or sell your Bitcoin, but surely you can still use VPN to bypass those restrictions.

I had recalled some users in here being able to still use Bitcoin and any forms of crypto in their country even if it was not legalized in their country.
698  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: My advice If you are here to make money on: December 11, 2022, 07:12:11 PM

It is just plain simple that if people are into long-term, just go with Bitcoin. If you are actively trading whether it is really your expertise or just your hobby, then it could be different coins every day. I think there are some people misinterpreting what you're saying or what you're trying to imply.
Day trading did not work for me so I just went up straight hold for Bitcoin. I understand that taking it slow does not work for you and you decided to day trade or like you mentioned "trade coins everyday". Everyone has their own strategy in the end.
699  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin will not become the world currency. on: December 11, 2022, 06:27:05 PM

At the same time, it does not stop people from using crypto still. I had read several users here still be able to use Bitcoin or any forms of crypto while their government banned it. People still have the access to VPNs still and people still need VPN regardless, so there is no way on just banning the use of VPN meanwhile providing a lot of people an access still to crypto exchanges.
It is either that their government regulates it through making it a legal tender and having a taxes imposed to it or just banning it entirely anyway.

Uh, do the 50/50. Interest ain't bad, but crypto investment ain't bad obviously especially that you mentioned Bitcoin. I do not mind if I am not able to buy 6 Bitcoins anyway. It is all about having something to invest at in the meantime.
I would probably forget that investment in a year or so, but hey it is a large sum amount of money so I'll probably be able to sell it once Bitcoin took off after this bearish trend. Cheesy
I know you mentioned that I won't use it for daily expenses, but still it would be nice to have both investment anyway.
