1581  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My bitcoin achievement on: January 15, 2022, 04:19:46 PM
To think that Bitcoin can make a dude buy a house makes me curious to how would it go for those who had invested into Bitcoin back in 2013.

Curious to the OP's story though that he works as a scientist with a bad salary. Is it due to where he resides or to wherever he is working pays really poor?
1582  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Know when to buy and hold on: January 14, 2022, 09:46:30 PM
~
Well here from me is a real experience when I attempted to trade. I learned some trading tools in Binance back then through some simple tutorials in Youtube.....err of course it didn't went a planned. Sold too early even if Bollinger Band and RSI kind of helped me out but still it was still all loss.
I went back to hodling since then. Never going back again...maybe? Roll Eyes
1583  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Tether is centralized, is it worth holding on: January 14, 2022, 07:04:45 PM
Back in the days, I was thinking of holding some of my money to USDT before I attempt to buy my first Bitcoin. Turns out it is indeed a bad idea.
You should check out this thread, OP - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5204055.0

DAI is being suggested to be hold instead of Tether.
1584  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do you guys think about MuskyDoge? on: January 14, 2022, 07:00:57 PM
Are they just blindly claiming that they're in partner with Nami? I haven't read anything from Nami site that they are indeed partnered with this project. Looks like another attempt ride to whatever hyped the market up, hmm?
Although there is a little bit of transparency in what they called "Muskynomics", it's still not enough. Still dodgy for me and if I was an altcoin investor, I would close out of that website.
Might one day become an exit scam attempt, lol.
1585  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will bitcoin ever get regulated on: January 13, 2022, 03:01:38 AM
~
They regulate it through some means by having 3rd party apps that allows their people to hold cryptos, while at the same time requiring them to comply with KYC policies which would require an ID from their people before having the means to sell them or even buy services with the use of it. This is at least from my experience, though it doesn't literally "regulate" crypto like controlling the whole blockchain itself as that is a complete BS to happen.
1586  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC has crossed $43k what's next? on: January 13, 2022, 02:58:50 AM
~
Meh, it is just like a retake of where it was used to touch. It's nothing to be celebrated just yet nor be sad about the slow increases. Just hodl as always. While in my work, I look a little bit in the charts and just go back to my usual stuffs.
I wouldn't want to term increases as "pump" as I remember those shitcoins being a pump and dump schemes.
1587  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Btc hodlers vs short time traders on: January 12, 2022, 08:38:55 PM
~
This was my strategy back then. Buying the dips, though it wasn't that complex thought for me to do so. As long as it went below of a price range ending with a "0", I am going to buy it if I have the means to buy one though.
At the same time taking profit from it as well, because why not?
1588  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Since you started crypto what has been the greatest mistake you made? on: January 12, 2022, 08:33:57 PM
Well like others had mentioned in here, it is trusting Altcoin too much. I still recall holding some of the tokens I earned from my discovery in the forum here back in the days. I held it for a year and good thing that I already sold it before the chart flattened out.
It is not just worth the hold anymore. Expect pump and dump coins in the Altcoin side.
1589  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The first NFT rug pull of 2022 on: January 12, 2022, 06:53:34 PM
With the boom of many NFT games these days like AXS, I am not surprised that many rug pulls are happening right now.
Just by learning how to write or code 2d games these days, it is quite alarming how many would fall for such things though.
1590  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Beware of Crypto Scams ! on: January 12, 2022, 05:05:04 PM
~
Loved that last line lol. Not surprised that people are finding ways to contact that dude, like no one would give that literally away by any means.
Pretty sure he is not just Elon doing these kind of stuffs everyday. Roll Eyes
1591  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Beware of Crypto Scams ! on: January 11, 2022, 09:00:11 PM
~
Pretty sure that many would attempt to have a contact with him through any means necessary. Imagine if his email address was leaked and thousands of scammers and blackmailers would flood his inbox in a blink of an eye. In fact consider all the richest person following him like Jeff Bezos, though I am not sure if he holds a certain amount of Bitcoin.
I am also sure that these rich dudes don't really browse the internet that much to look for opportunities to earn even if it was legitimate. They'll just spend their time doing their stuffs or scrolling around Twitter.
1592  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Establishment of an organization for victims of Bitcoin fraud. on: January 11, 2022, 08:47:32 PM
Aside from what was mentioned above, there are already scambaiters out there dealing with these. Some are even gray hat hackers like Jim Browning that destroys these scammers though they have general focus which are both crypto and fiat.
You can do it by yourself, but it's quite a risk.
1593  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: I want your happiness. on: January 11, 2022, 06:30:54 PM
Maybe trading isn't for you, OP and that is okay. Trading isn't for me either. Back when I was still learning day trading, I had managed to learn stuff from trading like the Bollinger Band and RSI stuffs and learning how to use those weren't enough for me to make some money and knowing that I still have a full-time job outside crypto, I know I am not going to succeed in trading because it isn't literally for me.
I just went full holding after that.
1594  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How can i detect new growing altcoins ? on: January 11, 2022, 06:27:49 PM
~
Oh boy, +110% profit overnight? Seems fishy for me to buy. It is obviously a pump and dump scheme and you're better of with other coins other than those. It is likely to not survive overnight.
And no, there is no way to detect these coins regardless of the usual DYOR stuffs like looking up their teams.
A coin that could possibly end up being an exit scam could do this so that they would invite more investors. It is a total manipulation, buddy.
1595  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Meme coins still makes you rich or end of trend? on: January 10, 2022, 07:23:51 PM
~
You might need to stay away, bud. You can never be too sure about whoever pumps the price in the end. I, myself, thought of buying one long time ago but good thing I didn't finalize my decision when my portfolio was going down that day.
I just realize those are purely pump and dump by some retards in Twitter pages. It can be great in the short-term, but that would mean hell for me.

1597  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: FIVE HELPFUL TIPS THAT WILL BE EFFECTIVE IN AVOIDING CRYPTOCURRENY SCAMS. on: January 10, 2022, 02:47:12 PM
Most of these are pretty obvious. In addition to #3, nobody will come to talk to you that you can get rich in a few days. I had seen a lot of spam bots in social media vouching a non-existent person with just an edited stock photo of a businessman/businesswoman, and most of those claim to 999x your money within a week while being vouched by fake accounts made by the same scammer, so I should say also that careful of fake vouches. Anyone can claim whoever they are in the internet.
1598  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Advice on what to consider when making an investment ? on: January 09, 2022, 09:12:02 PM
hugeblack pretty much summed up all the things you need, OP.
To add up to the "Developer Team" part, check their Github repositories or at least activity in the past months. You don't need to know how to code to check that in Github as you can check the project being developed there. It is open for anybody. Check also their LinkedIn pages, which are commonly noted on their past employment history though don't rely in it too much as it can be faked out sometimes.

Dang $350? That's really like a lot if converted in my local currency. I guess people are still looking for them still after all. I had stopped joining those as what I stated in this thread previously.
It is just not worth the risk anymore.
Had you sold the tokens already though or were you still holding it at that value right now?
1600  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: My new year advice to crypto newbies on: January 08, 2022, 08:36:09 PM
Let's see if newbies will apply #6. It is a common mistake for them to exit out of the market during those trends and for me back then, I made the mistake. AKA sold in a panic.
I had no regrets, as I still learned my lesson still. Also adding up that don't just hop straight into day trading if you're still starting.
It's not for everybody and I would count myself on that.

Great, bring God into the discussion. If you fail, you can always blame God. It was God's will. I wasn't destined to achieve the results I dreamed of because God has different plans for me. It has got nothing to do with my lack of diligence and work ethics. I have got nothing against religion, but it should be something you keep deep inside you. You don't use that as an argument and reason why you failed or succeeded in life.
I recall someone here in my country saying that using God in arguments as a last resort is a sign of a bad debater, though I know this isn't debate. Just got a quick recall. Cheesy
