1621  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: A different December indeed on: December 31, 2021, 07:28:23 PM

Well who would buy that amount of BTC in 2021. Unless you're a billionaire right now, it would be too much too buy that many and even I wouldn't even think of buying that many. Maybe 2 digits of BTC would be good enough for me.
December is like a month where people just take some of their coins to fiat to enjoy their holdings at least, maybe not in the shitcoin side, due to the holiday season. It would be great to enjoy little things sometimes. Smiley

I thought ICOs were already a thing in the past and they aren't relevant anymore after IEOs took over back in 2018. Didn't know that people are still pursuing for these kinds of projects regardless.
Aside from ICOs also, I would also add up to stay clear of meme coins as well as it pretty much matches how you described as "pump toys".

OP has been inactive for a week and a half already. It doesn't seem like s/he will be back anytime soon. I would just report this thread to be locked, since this is an old thread back in November and wasn't locked by the OP yet since.
1624  Economy / Reputation / Re: One milestone achieved [Amazing journey to Legendary] on: December 30, 2021, 07:46:31 PM
I recall your thread about feeding the homeless. A wholesome thread that I read during Christmas, and I wish I am able to donate something at least. Regardless congrats, OP

This was the thread that I was mentioning: A Crypto Christmas; Using Bitcoin to help feed the homeless

Though my experience was kind of non-crypto related as I used third-party digital payment system to do such transaction, there is a local app in our country that can be used to send money people to people through their SMS number.
I had a buyer who send me like too much money where he sent $200 instead of $20 as he tapped extra zero, and he was like scared to death like in a panic state where he continued to send continuous message to my FB inbox, and of course if I was like an a-hole, I would just block the person but meh, I ain't that kind of person. I sent the extra money back to that person I dealt with.

...but creating hype would mean that there would be still an end of an hype :/
What if people just lose interest in whatever shitproject that is? I never heard of people earning that amount from airdrop even though that was just an example you mentioned. Mostly those airdrops are just shitcoins waiting to be dumped anyway in the end.
Not sure if the project you just mentioned was an unintentional shilling or the opposite.
1627  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is the fate of SHIBA Inu, is this the end of the Road? on: December 29, 2021, 08:16:05 PM

This and every single of those tweets by influencers that just seemingly pump this coin up in the sky. I never held any SHIBA and would never in my life. It is just another meme coin that are to be taken advantage of by these pump and dump groups.
Not sure how the developers feel about this though, lol.
1628  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: My plans for the next bear market on: December 29, 2021, 08:11:03 PM

Just put it in USDT and wait for newer opportunity to buy. It is just that simple actually and some people are just overcomplicating such simple things. However just don't take USDT as something that you should hold for a long time, due to it being frozen.
If you're still holding altcoins though, maybe consider selling now. There are always next time to buy, maybe not for the shitcoins out there.
1629  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Create and earn on: December 29, 2021, 02:51:46 PM
If you have interesting ideas, create new topics, just take responsibility after opening a topic, regularly support your topic, and close it on time so as not to turn the topic into a mega-thread. But you also need to understand that a huge number of topics from one author is counterproductive and raises a lot of unnecessary questions.
This made me recall back when I was still starting up in this forum and I was like wanting to create a thread about the "Dark Web and Bitcoin". It just turned out that I can't really keep up that much with the discussion, so I just call it quits on the thread since I do not have the all day to reply to each interesting replies (well some do have interesting).

Just took a little peak on that thread I made and good thing it didn't turned out to be a megathread, lol.
1630  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Need Some Advice on: December 29, 2021, 02:49:14 AM
@OP
If you are already satisfied with the answers provided, it would be great if you would lock this thread already. There are other replies here reiterating the same thing and the thread keeps getting bumped.

Sent a PM to the OP, hoping he would read it at least.
1631  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Future of the NFTs on: December 28, 2021, 07:51:42 PM
~
Since "video games" are like tapping on these NFTs right now including Ubi, every new AAA games out there would pretty much look into NFTs until it comes to the point that "in-game items = NFTs" where the OG NFTers would be surprised that this is how people see NFTs now and not as a non-fungible token as it was before.
Besides I feel like there is going to be transition now from NFTs to whatever Metaverse this is. It is getting mentioned a lot.
1632  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What are your altcoin predictions for the new year 2022 on: December 28, 2021, 07:43:58 PM
Not sure what's really up for altcoins, but since Bitcoin is still around 45-50k, I would say that coins would be actively be traded. NFTs are still hyped a lot these days, so that's that. This metaverse that you're mentioning is pretty new in my ears and eyes. Is this going to be the new hype of 2022, as it is getting mentioned a lot?
I guess that would be it actually, unless we're back into bullish market.
1633  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: You don't need to hodl a particular coin all your life on: December 28, 2021, 03:45:17 PM
~
This is what bothers me sometimes especially to those who had the misconception of the the word "hodling". They thought that "hodling" was all about just keeping the coin til their last breath.
I gotta be honest that it was my first thought into it, but it just doesn't make that sense to keep holding if your primary goal was to earn , right?
I sold some of my ETH to buy BTC when it was a bear market last year, but then I still started taking profits from it weekly. I know I am a long-term investor, but sometimes you need the money and those greens not because one celebrity in Twitter tells you to.
1634  Other / Off-topic / Re: Futile settings of google? on: December 28, 2021, 03:35:21 PM

I can also recall pausing my search and watch history in my Youtube account, but somehow my Google account still manage to still record those history. Quite annoying to know to be honest.
In my Facebook account, I wasn't even aware that your recently watched videos are all logged even though I am pretty sure that that feature didn't exist before.

As long as you're registered under some site, you can't expect that whatever you're doing remains not surveilled.
1635  Economy / Economics / Re: A way to make money online? on: December 27, 2021, 03:19:50 PM

Well there could be bugs of course.
Back then, I had developed quite a few static websites as my side hobby and turns out I need to make it more responsive through different mobile devices since most people are now in mobile and not really a fan of desktop screen size.
After making it responsive, create its backend. There are thing always needed to be improved.
1636  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Hoddle or day trading on: December 27, 2021, 03:14:40 PM

Better drop that coin already, OP.
Was it on sale that made you buy this coin? I wouldn't ask what coin is it because it might turn out to be an unintentional shilling. Don't hold it, as of course many ICO tokens are just shitcoins in the end and investors would just dump it and call it a day. I held few of my tokens back in 2017, and good thing I was on the edge already before the coin died.
1637  Other / Meta / Re: New child board idea - Notable Twitter Threads on: December 26, 2021, 06:14:56 PM
Bad idea, OP
I can imagine that board being flooded by Elon Musk tweets for obvious reasons, and I thought we were already past that dude, lol.
I usually steer clear of that site along with Facebook when it comes to crypto-related discussion.
The forum is already fine as it is and we do not need more attention from other users in other social media platform. For sure people would think of this forum anyway along with Reddit when it comes to learning/discussing more about any sorts of cryptos but not Twitter.

If you see any "notable twitter threads", it would be better to have just a single thread of that Twitter thread/topic in Bitcoin Discussion board then just cite your source of that thread/tweet instead of dedicating an entire child board for that.
1638  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Merry Christmas! on: December 26, 2021, 01:13:16 AM

Welp let's see what's the next ATH next year. 100k maybe? I might be throwing too much numbers, but hey it isn't impossible to happen any day. Maybe if January hits its first week, we might even get to that price, who knows?
Regardless have a Merry Christmas holdings. Smiley
I've been here since 2017, and that yearly ATH you made kind of brought nostalgic feeling to me back in the days.
1639  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Elon Musk once again throwing shade at bitcoin on: December 26, 2021, 01:10:32 AM
This kind of thinking makes things worse for bitcoin, we overthink too much when it comes to this kind of thing, plus he's not the person that we should listen to right? Aren't we already done with all the stuff he did back then?
I wouldn't look at it at that way. We're too much leaned too Musk and just because one guy tweeted a few characters of his own thoughts won't make that much effect to Bitcoin. It is just people that are following his butt too much, just because he was able to manipulate DOGE back then.
People think that the history repeats itself once again.
1640  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Stick to altcoins or switch to Bitcoin or stablecoins? on: December 25, 2021, 08:26:02 PM

Can't suggest to stick a lot in alts.
Got some altcoin that I held back in 2017 that were only for tries, but not really for long-term. Turns out it was flat-out dead heartbeat in the charts when checked 2 years after.
There are only few alts worth holding, and most of them just will dry out or going to be just a dust.
