1642  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ELON MUSK BECOME AN INFLUENCER on: December 24, 2021, 08:54:43 PM

Is Musk still being really mentioned these days? Huh
I thought that his time is over already in crypto space. AFAIK, he still holds Bitcoin, ETH and Doge. I am still not sure what the hell is happening with his fanbase lately, but I do not care if it is related to crypto.
People are too focused into him.
1643  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to find Airdrop or ICO project? on: December 24, 2021, 08:52:21 PM
I had an experience with some airdrop that was posted in the Bounties section. I still recall bookmarking some of it, because why not? It is free money, right? Right? Well I learned the hard way on most of these airdrops would either just scam you or the opposite, try to steal your wallet away from you.
I can't remember the exact airdrop name of that one, but it has "lunch" word into it.
I inputted my information, joined their stupid TG group, and found out that I was already recorded in their spreadsheet which should just happen since the form still takes response.

After couple of hours, I checked my email which was a junk/disposable email address which thankfully the one I used. They wanted me to claim my token to their website and that is where they get fishy. They attempted to steal my wallet through their MEW phishing site. Welp, reported the website and thankfully the hosting site decided to take it down.

Well this kind of reminded me of that previous earning platform, I worked at. It is all annotations and transcribing stuffs and they have referral links for each user that they can share to others. The catch is they have to purely work and at least earn $20 before they can credit that referral reward to your account.
Mostly it is either that or a percentage of referred people's points/credits  that will be credited to you now these days.
1645  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Besides BTC and ETH what coins would you invest in long term? on: December 23, 2021, 08:38:11 PM
~
I was kind of thinking LTC back in the days along with Doge, but I was stalled a lot by my non-crypto activities. I ended up throwing most of my money to BTC and a few for ETH. I sold most of my ETH though and now I am just holding Bitcoin, not that I mind about it anyway.
1646  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Besides BTC and ETH what coins would you invest in long term? on: December 23, 2021, 03:52:24 PM
I am not talking about crap coins or coins "du jour" that are hyped today but seem to fade as time goes on like chainlink seems to have done. So what legit coins do you see blossoming in the future long term? i am interested in investing in them. ill add another question on top of this one, is matic and solana hype coins today that hot today but not tommorow?
I do not have one in mind actually.
Are there still any good coins in the long-term that are worth the hold? Feels like they left off the top 10 anyways whatever those coins are with the exception of stablecoins of course.
I would still hold for Bitcoin. If there was worth holding in the long-term, I could have bought that as well along with ETH.
1647  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Just a quick warning to all investors on: December 23, 2021, 03:50:20 PM

Although I have been holding some bitcoins quite a while, I am still not forgetting to take any returns that I got from my portfolio. Don't forget that we invested because we're expecting a return from it. I wouldn't call long-term holding as being too greedy. It is just those that aren't really active in day trading that they decided to hold it for the long-term and and sell in between the trends and yes I am one of the long-term holders. Back then, I still recall panicking or doing FOMO when I first started up in crypto.
1648  Economy / Services / Re: I can do online jobs to earn BTC or ETH on: December 22, 2021, 05:46:04 PM
~
Seems like you're specializing in Data Entry jobs and a couple of Photoshop skills.
This is not how you attract clients, OP.
Better move this thread in "Services" section.

Just my advice for the OP. If I was a client looking for that kind of service, I do not have an idea on what are you offering in specific therefore would just skip your service offer.
Aside from what others mentioned above, specify the skills you have inside those.
Entering data in Excel? Are you knowledgeable with macros? Formulas? I don't know.
Editing photos in Photoshop? Are you knowledgeable with other software like GIMP? Surely your photoshop skills will transfer to other software, but you need to specify that you know how to use these software.

This is at least from my experience in freelancing. I learned it the hard way when I was offering services in a generic way.
Clients will not look for you and your contact email when you are still starting up.

1649  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: When bear market? on: December 22, 2021, 03:25:35 PM

Check what TheUltraElite said in the reply.
You just need to be more active and keep track of the price during the day. Waiting for the next halving would be a bit absurd to wait just for you to buy more coins. You should definitely check the prices right now since Bitcoin is hovering around 48k. There might be alts that are waaaay below and you might be able to buy a lot.
1650  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do you see? on: December 22, 2021, 03:16:39 PM

In 2017, it is quite different since it was a new ATH for Bitcoin (20k) but for 2018, it was kind of the same though but I guess the reason of the massive sell-off were still the same considering the holidays that are about to arrive. Everyone needs to cash out once in a while I guess.
Back in 2017, I still didn't know how to cash out my Bitcoin so that I can still use it somehow but meh that regret is way past me already.
1651  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: No free money or crytocurrency on: December 22, 2021, 03:13:18 PM

Back then, they were kind of worth it. I started holding Bitcoin during the start of 2017 where they weren't that really worth the work anymore. I still recall having to register multiple websites to "at least make it worth", but having the minimum satoshi which was around 20k sat is already exhausting to do considering that I have more productive activities to do the whole day.
I wonder how were faucets for those that have been holding Bitcoin since 2011-2013.
1652  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: A newbie has honest reasons for being involved with crypto on: December 21, 2021, 08:23:35 PM

Seems like OP admits that s/he is here for SCs.

@OP, this is a forum not an earning platform and for earning money, this isn't the great place to start. You'll have better opportunities doing freelancing in the long-term unlike SCs. If you want to be paid in crypto as a means of "earning money", you can check LaborX. You have a long way to go if you're just going to pursue SCs in here.

Since you are also asking about what makes us stay here, for me it is all about that conversation I get in some threads that I wouldn't get from some other sites like Reddit where I feel biased in the Karma system there. Roll Eyes
Sure I am wearing a signature, but that's just an "icing on the cake" like they said.
1653  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: About the popularity of Bitcoin on: December 21, 2021, 08:07:56 PM
as we know that today bitcoin is reaching the peak of the highest popularity among other investments.maybe it can't be separated from bitcoin being so transparent for miners and beginners to be in the crypto world for a long time so that it affects the electability of bitcoin in the world. global stock market where today bitcoin as an investment is so high in popularity among the public
Peak is a bit subjective for me to be honest. Here in my area, it's not even reaching half of the population for those that knew what Bitcoin is as an alternative payment method or even as an investment. I would say that 20% of people that I interacted in here only knew about stock market which is what I am aware that majority knew.
1654  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to explain Bitcoin to Newbies on: December 21, 2021, 04:35:32 PM
~
It could be that or the opposite. I had heard the opposite from my friends when I first mentioned Bitcoin to them and they were like, "oh that sCaM cOIn in the dArK wEb". There are division of thoughts when it comes to cryptos and we can't blame them anyway since they're not too techy or was not aware or knowledgeable about it.
I never heard from someone in my social circle ever that Bitcoin is volatile investment and to this day, I am still waiting, lol.
1655  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Do not use multiple accounts on: December 21, 2021, 04:27:36 PM

There are various reasons to use multiple accounts, just don't go breaking rules. I recall some user replying to their own thread like a delusional ones talking to himself with his own account to only boost his post count.

Theymos would only implement KYC when the hell freezes over or.... maybe during first day of April Roll Eyes
I'll get right on that, just as soon as hell freezes over.
1656  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do you see? on: December 20, 2021, 09:08:44 PM

Holidays are coming, OP. Expect a lot of people selling their coins right now to enjoy the upcoming event. Regardless if it is an individual investor or institutions (as you mentioned) that are considering to adopt the coin.
Buy the dip if you have the means to buy.
1657  Other / Meta / Re: Bitcointalk posts as nft on: December 20, 2021, 03:14:19 PM

This reminded me of that $69 million worth of that painting, Beeple, although it is not something drawn by a 3 year old child but it is only a digital art that you usually saw around the internet and is just being categorized as NFTs.
Well if what you said keeps happening, I can only imagine someone downloading random image in any image hosting website, doing some photoshop into it, and publishing it in the internet with cost of thousand bucks.

My source: Beeple sold an NFT for $69 million
Nice price, I just noticed lol.
1658  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Investors desire on meme coins are insane on: December 19, 2021, 08:48:39 PM
~
Well it wasn't supposed to be an investment at all. It just happens that meme got so hyped that it got its own coin. I specifically just stay from those coins as much as possible and even if such surges in price looks tempting, I wouldn't fall for it. I learned these back when Musk just hyped the crap out of Doge and it went skyrocket within few days.
It is just really insane.
1659  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How reasonable is the long-term investment in Altcoins? on: December 19, 2021, 07:34:49 PM
~
Considering that the <top 5 almost fluctuates too much that those coins even change like a lot, I understand where you're getting with this. I formerly hold some Ethereum but just sold it and converted some to Bitcoin.
Good thing that those tokens I got from 2017 were sold already, as I see that most of them just went flat after few years. Coins like Doge and Shib gets pretty trendy these days and surely there are people that are going to take advantage of the pump and dump, but quite concerned to those people that are into it for the long term.
1660  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What did you buy with crypto? on: December 18, 2021, 08:29:12 PM
Well I might be different here. My recent purchase using my BTC was a p2p transaction with my friend. He was offering Steam wallet cards to me in exchange of some few Bitcoins.

Speaking of Newegg, I could have bought an RTX card for my rig if only the price weren't so broken. I also thought back then that they weren't accepting Bitcoins anymore, but I could have been mixing Steam and Newegg. Cheesy
