681  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Shakur Stevenson vs Shuichiro Yoshino April 8 on: February 25, 2023, 08:28:06 PM
But it's slim though, we all know how good Shakur is and he wouldn't let someone deter his goals of fighting for the belt next. So we should lean on Shakur with a big win via ko/tko.
The winning method odds for Shakur to win via knockout should be high because he's not a knockout artist, so it would be profitable if you want to bet that's option. Yoshino haven't lose in any fight and he tend to win via knockout, so it's quite hard to judge how good his chin. I still think Shakur win via decision is high likely to happen, but the odds still not included and if it's not worth, it's better for me to bet via knockout.

Exactly, the likelihood of Shakur winning by KO is not high. Would you bet on Shakur to win via KO, knowing his boring strategy in boxing? Personally, I doubt that he will win by KO in this fight. Most likely, it will still go the full 12 rounds, and he will win via unanimous decision. However, if you like to have fun and are willing to take the risk, then Shakur winning by KO could be the right bet for you.

I agree though, his knockout percentage is not even 50%, so most likely it will be a long and deliberate fight for him against Yoshino, unless he become a big hitter and Yoshino doesn't have a good chin to begin with.

It might be better though for me at least, so just sit out this match.

And wait for the outcome because the next fight might be the good one to bet. Shakur vs the winner of Haney vs Loma.

That depends on the bettor really because there are some bettors who does like adventures and taking a different bets on a single bout to somehow enhance their winnings. Besides, a 47 percent KO ratio of Shakur Stevenson is not that bad as eventually, he might add on that ratio and possibly on this fight. I believe he can somehow grab a win by a way of TKO/KO, he even managed to do it last 2021 on his 1st chase on the title against Jamel Herring to get the WBO title, who was the champion at that time.

I know that his chances to have that outcome is not that good, it's still better to bet on a decision. But it's also not a bad idea after all to throw some few spare bucks on the KO/TKO outcome considering that his ratio is not that high, so the bookies might give a juicy odds on that option.
682  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Caleb Plant vs David Benavidez on: February 25, 2023, 08:04:18 PM
For the latest odds, Caleb Plant is the underdog,

And so it seems that Benavidez power is the overwhelming reasons why he is big favorite, as for Caleb 3:1 underdog good already for a ML bet. I will agree with the odds maker, gonna be hard for Caleb to score a win against a hard hitting David Benavidez who has one mission, to have a fight with Canelo Alvarez in the future.

Plant might win some rounds in the beginning because of his experience hehe. However yes, very much similar to Canelo, it will be Benavidez's strength and his physical presence that will cause him to win this fight. It can also be argued that Benavidez has more strength and physical presence than Canelo.

True, David Benavidez is the bigger and way more stronger that Caleb Plant. There is an interview on one of Benavidez sparring partner and his prediction is that the fight will be a 5 rounder. I forget the name of the kid, he is still young though and has been David's main sparring partner for the last 4 or 5 fights of his according to Sr.

In that particular side, Benavidez really have that edge but considering that Plant also a former champ and have decent experienced fighting with different figthers, he might find ways to avoid any aggressive attempts coming from Benavidez. That prediction might be too much but who knows, if Benavidez will have that chance to box Plant then it can end as early as round 5.

Yeah, and not only that, that is sparring though, yes sparring partners can give their predictions but it's totally different when the main fighter in on the ring with someone that the sparring partner try to emulate. I think the one mentioned sparring partner here is Diego Pacheco, 21 year old super middleweight who has been in the camp of the Benavidez for a long time now.

And I don't think that David will long for early knock out, he said that he is going to punish Caleb so he might delay. He can go with the knock out early if it presents itself though. But I think it's going to be more than 5 round fight.

A fight that will be finished in just 5 mere rounds in-favor of the kid, David Benavidez, is already like we are underestimating the former champion. Don't take me wrong, I'm also leaning on David but we shouldn't disregard Plant as if he's was not a former champion with almost no good experience with strong boxers in the same division. Both of them got an advantage for sure but I think it's time for the new generation to face the undisputed, and that means that Caleb is not on the equation anymore.
683  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: February 25, 2023, 06:44:38 PM
The Clippers vs Kings game has now entered double overtime.

Clippers bettors should be happy now because there's still a chance that the spread will be covered. Good luck, guys! I'm enjoying the game so far. It looks like the Kings are for real, and they are a threat in the West with the way they are playing.

That game was nuts. A shame it didn’t end in regulation. I thought for a minute that Russell Westbrook was going to make the game winning shot but instead he ended up fouling out in double overtime and the Kings managed to go up by a point for the win. That has to be the highest scoring game of the year. Both teams shot insane percentages.
Yeah, it must be a record-breaking total score in the regulation and even in the overtime games. I doubt someone lost their bet for also betting on "over".  Grin Their game was damn exhausting, I never thought there will be another overtime as the Clippers had their good lead until the Sacramento Kings punished them for being careless.
They are persistent, Malik Monk didn't want to give up, he kept on sinking crucial three-pointers and he is the one who still have enough energy to make them. Sabonis was fouled out too.
Westbrook also made crucial shots. PG13 was a monster. Great game even though they lost at home and on WB's debut.
It's not like they didn't play defense, both teams just had a good night.

The Sacramento Kings was really good at taking advantage of any other team's weakness, the Clippers got a good run but suddenly, they became careless of their actions and that was the turning point why the Kings got their first lead in the 2nd half. Other than that, the Kings showed a lot of courage and that they are not threatened just because the Clippers got another additional.

Overall, it was a good game and that is a rare one. Even me got tired of the game even if I'm just watching it, I can't fathom how the players of the respective teams are feeling right now after such a long high scoring game than ended up in a double OT.
684  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: My $300 bet won $417,000 on: February 25, 2023, 06:16:46 PM

Congratulations, you were so lucky! Almost a perfect row of bets! It's like winning the lottery prize. The chances were really low, and that is what made it possible for you to turn 300$ bucks into a 417,000$ fortune. I imagine your friends are really regretful for not considering your advice back then. I guess it was a chance in a lifetime they lost in gambling...
The friend will not most likely have to regret it because this is gambling and anything can happen just like buying lottery tickets not everyone will end with the winning number, so the friends will just have to move on and focus more on future opportunities.

-But that winning amount is a large sum that it will be highly tempting to look away from winning almost half a million dollars with just a $300 bet.

That's expected mate Grin those said friends that haven't followed the OP's bet because they are impatient is now blaming themselves for their actions and is so disappointed of the fact because that made them lose a probable once in a lifetime opportunity that could've land millions on their laps as nobody certainly knows if something like that will happen again in the future.

Anyway, I'd like to congratulate the OP and that one specific friend who followed his advice. I bet they are now having a good time with the money they got, meanwhile those friends that lost the opportunity is now talking with them again with the hopes that they could ride with the wave if ever they got some.
685  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Binance's 98% Dominance: Should We Be Worried? on: February 24, 2023, 07:18:15 PM
There is absolutely nothing to be worried about if you ask me, Binance is a good exchange, that is why majority of traders like to trade there, it is left for other exchanges to rise up and put in the work binance have put to achieve such a huge success, maybe in doing so, they may be able to win binance customers over to themselves.
I personally do not trade on Binance, I have another exchange I mostly trade on, but i can help but applaud Binance for the tremendous effort they put into crypto adoption, Binance have probably brought more people into crypto than we all can ever imagine, let other exchanges rise up  and start doing same.
Same with my thoughts too. No need to worry since Binance is trusted by most of the traders, meaning there’s something in Binance that most traders do not find from other exchanges. And certainly, we can’t control the people from trusting it. What we can only do is to encourage other exchanges to improve their services as well,  and try to be competitive as much as they can so they won’t be left behind in this type of industry.
686  Economy / Economics / Re: To cut financial ties with original family benefits you in the long run on: February 24, 2023, 06:47:50 PM
It's not a bad idea to fall back to your folks when you are financially constrained as a man, because no one can expect some curve balls life throws but where it becomes questionable is when it becomes a norm.
As humans, there's always the tendency to slack when we notice that our needs are being provided for us and just like a poster observed, it makes the individual (especially the man) lose focus on his role to play as a provider and can become a liability as he has lost sight of what he ought to do simply because he has gotten used to finances being handed to him.
Also, one would want to fault such a behavior on the parents but I think life places one with choices, so if such an individual wants to carry on, it's his choice.
Blaming the parents for one’s behavior may be somehow valid too, but definitely since we are adults already, it’s probably we did it because it’s our choice, to become more dependent and forget the reality that we should also work on our own and make a living so that we can be responsible providers especially for breadwinners  or family man. Otherwise, if we keep relying on our parents or from other people, our lives will not improve, and when they eventually die, we would end up struggling for survival as we are not used on working to provide our own needs or to provide for the family needs.
687  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What is your profit taking strategy? on: February 24, 2023, 11:08:39 AM
Make sure bitcoin is your main investment and only for the long term, don't suggest selling too fast. now is a good time to keep buying bitcoin before it reaches a new ATH. But if the altcoin you hold, after seeing it becomes 2x selling it will be better. Altcoins don't last as long when bitcoin is on the move, taking profits faster on altcoins when the hype is better. Diversify your portfolio, using bitcoin as the main investment and altcoins as a short-term investment option.
If you want to see maximum profits when bull run strikes, then stick with bitcoin. Or maximize bitcoin accumulation through DCA, and maybe purchase some Ethereum to diversify your investment. Some other top altcoins can also be profitable but you can never guarantee that they will continue to increase their value even if you will hold them for long term. So once you see them in profits, you can start selling them at their peak price and then focus on bitcoin accumulation and consider them as long term investments. You will be highly profitable if you know how to deal with bitcoin volatility and keep them as long as you want.
688  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Life's first investment in Bitcoin by selling bicycles on: February 24, 2023, 08:05:12 AM
Great OP, although many people are not happy that selling assets to buy bitcoin is not advisable, but sometimes we need to make tradeoffs, and take risks to achieve greater things.
I am always ready to take such risks to achieve success.
Good @OP. At least, one step you take now you are a step close to achieving your success. No need to wait for another time as this correction is a good time to add more bitcoins to your wallet. Those who invest in bitcoin want to pursue their future and are willing to take the risks of the fluctuating price so they can stand with their strong hand to hold their bitcoin. You should be like them to hold your bitcoin and continue the investment because, in the end, we will make a big profit in the next bull run.
You will surely succeed in bitcoin investment if you are determined to follow the valuable advices here in the forum. And btw, never be pressured when prices are declining because it won’t be happening all the time. You might be surprised by tomorrow or the next day the price has started to increase already so just stay patient and just enjoy accumulating more bitcoin while there are still opportunities to buy. When the bull run strikes, obviously it’s time for us to reap our profits together.
689  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is trading good for beginners? on: February 24, 2023, 07:07:09 AM
no I don't think so, trading quite honestly is a lot more difficult than just investing. it requires tremendous effort in just creating some profits out of your trading that I think even some veteran aren't really cut it to be traders. the thing is, by trading you should create some series of good decision in order to make your trading succesfull and you're quite literally gonna be against the whales that most of the time manipulates. If you think you are smart enough to go against then wave then you can try, but always know that trading honestly really difficult if you want consistency in creating the profit. luck also have huge factor in determining your success honestly.
Luck is also essential in trading but it’s knowledge and skills that should be prioritized first. Without them, a trader may only lose his money and waste his time and effort. That is the reason why beginners are advised not to trade unless they are ready to lose, and most especially they already have background about trading and how it will be profitable. Trading is hard and quite complicated as there are a lot of factors to consider before trading, so one must trade only if he is mentally, emotionally and financially ready.
690  Economy / Economics / Re: Are people really having the wrong concept of savings? on: February 23, 2023, 09:39:59 PM
I do not think anyone should get the purpose of saving wrongly. People save for many reasons, like for nvestment, to tackle emergencies etc. You can even save money because you want to buy something that year or later and you do not want to go for installmental payment which will require paying more over certain period of time than buying at once.
Saving is a good thing, and anyone who try to save knows that it will be beneficial for him in the future. So I don’t believe that people may end up getting the wrong concept out from saving, as we all save for different reasons and goals. But saving alone has always its choice, either you save it and spend at the end of the year, or you save it for lifetime, it’s like saving for the bright future of your kids.
691  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: My father thinks I'm working in a shop,he didn't know I'm bitcointalking. on: February 23, 2023, 08:29:22 PM
@martyns, do not see this forum as a job, you need alternatives even if some of your posts and activeness are providing some money for your through this forum. Look for other means of making money. I guess you are from a third world country, even this forum can create an opportunity for you to start your own work which can be an alternative. Just do not depend only on this forum is my advice.
Or you can save some of your profits here and then start building your own business which you think you are also capable of managing it. Otherwise, you end up wasting your own money. But I would never doubt that this forum is a good provider for us, but the problem is we don’t know how long will it last so we should have another source of income, if not getting a stable job.
692  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: More Awareness needed, 100$ or Bitcoin??? on: February 22, 2023, 09:50:00 PM
Came across this video in which a person questions whether they prefer to take 100$ or Bitcoin. The kids never took time, all of the sudden chosen 100$. I'm not specific about the location this had taken place, but it looks like they're are Western people. This makes me think, awareness is not upto the mark and in all means we need to educate people. Even the Western young generation unaware of it is really unbelievable.

100$ or Bitcoin
Education is the only way so that people will start to be aware even on things that are not seen in physical, but are still valuable. However, it’s normal for kids to choose $100 compared to 1 bitcoin, because even if they know about bitcoin, the fact that it still need to be converted so it won’t be used instantly, than to stick with $100 and you can use to buy them immediately. But for adults who are aware already about bitcoin and it’s corresponding value, for sure they will be smart enough to chose bitcoin over $100.
693  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Nonito Donaire vs Jason Moloney on: February 20, 2023, 08:22:34 PM

What a big break indeed to Alejandro Santiago's career as even ranked 6 by the WBC, he now has the opportunity to take the Bantamweight title.

A long gap age difference between Donaire and Santiago but I hope others won't just point out the age as a possible hindrance here for the former. Good to know that Donaire didn't wait for long and that the negotiation is being organized right away to set up the match for the vacant WBC Bantamweight title.

Still looking forward though for the "Filipino Flash" to winning that match. I want to see if Donaire still "has it".
I am glad that Donaire does not have to wait for an eliminator fight as he simply cannot afford to do so right now, and this is a good opportunity for Santiago as well, as you say it is rare for someone that is ranked that low to be given a chance, but since Inoue left all the belts vacant everyone that is worth something on the division is trying to put themselves on the best position possible and this is opening the door for someone like Santiago to get an opportunity at a world title.

A good opportunity to hype his name, win or lose that kind of chances will bring him into a contender category, something that most fighters are really aiming.

I like to see him trying all the best that he has to make his way to this possible title, though inside me,
it's still Donaire even he's not the same old flash but for whatever reason my trust still on him for these upcoming
fight.

It is indeed an opportunity for Donaire's new foe because the man has been upgraded suddenly to a championship fight even though his records don't actually match as he's nowhere to be found inside WBC's top 5. But who could've thought, Santiago and his camp surely didn't anticipate this to happen that they will be given a chance to showcase their boxer's talent in a championship bout.

Both Donaire and Santiago needed this opportunity to redeem themselves and to get a much higher rank in the boxing industry, apart from our speculation, let's just expect that Santiago's camp will do everything they can to study Donaire's strengths and weaknesses to somehow turn the favor on their side. By the way, there's a new thread created to discuss Donaire's fight with Santiago. Let's continue our discussion in that thread, so that the OP will lock this thread.
694  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Figueroa vs Magsayo WBC Interim Featherweight Title (March 4) on: February 20, 2023, 08:13:07 PM
I am not so sure about Figueroa after watching him struggle and lose the fight against Stephen Fulton Jr. in November of 2021 and he only had a single fight in 2022. What happened? Depression? All in all it seems like he is starting to lose steam and its all going a bit downhill for him, currently. That really does not spark confidence for me to bet on him.

I don't think it's a struggle, it was a very close match to me, Brandon though throw a lot of punches and Fulton that eat everything and didn't even go down in that fight. And it's frustrating for a volume puncher to see that. He should be rematching Fulton, but Stephen decided to go to Inoue. While he challenges the next biggest puncher in 126 in Magsayo.

On the other side, Magsayo has been winning and fighting year to year. Absolutely no stopping him! Aside from his one recent loss, his track record is way better. Obviously he is going to win this fight with certainty.

He lost though so he is stop on his track, so both are coming from a lost, and so the winner will obviously bounce back with a big win here.

Both are coming from a huge loss and this is what makes this fight so exciting to watch, the winner will move forward to the title while the loser will have a hard climb to get into the rank, nobody wants two successive losses especially if you're a former champion like these two.
Both have the same fate of losing via decision and I don't think these two will trust the judges so they will try to finish the fight via stoppage, both fighters don't want the judges to have a role in who will move forward or who will drop in the ranking.

You guys are measuring the wrong way. Yes they might be both coming from a RECENT loss but lets look at both of their track records over years. Obviously Figueroa might have been on a bad luck streak just like Magsayo, but Magsayo's history is less flawed by a 1 fight (draw). So how does one even compare the two histories? Its hard to tell but Figueroa has been showing more weakness in the recent past, so my money is on Magsayo.

Just because he recently had some bad luck in his fight against Vargas and has finally gotten 1 loss does not make this an eventuality which will happen again. 24 wins 1 loss. Cmon.

I definitely agree! All boxers have their own failure in this industry and the good thing about them is that they aren't measured by the loss they had but with what they did after the loss they experienced. Both Figueroa and Magsayo came from an unfortunate situation, both boxers didn't want that for sure but they needed it because by that, they will be molded as a much better boxer. But since we are here speculating and putting some bets, my money also goes for Magsayo even if he will be listed as favorite, it will still be Magsayo.
695  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Tank Davis vs. Ryan Garcia betting and discussion (May, 2023) on: February 20, 2023, 06:58:21 PM

At last! The court case has played a major role why both camps has confirmed the fight much earlier and set aside the issues where a rematch clause should happen. If it wasn't for Tank's hearing this coming May, both camps are still dancing back and forth trying to solve their withstanding issue that prohibit both fighters from setting up the ring.

Anyway, this should be it. A fight that is touted to amass tens of millions of dollars because both camps has established strong influence in the boxing community and has a large fan base that supports both Tank and Ryan Garcia. Looking forward to hear more news in the upcoming weeks and not a nonsense talk that will make the fight in vain again.

An early confirmation is good. At least people will stop speculating about the possibility of this fight not happening. They have already signed a contract, which means they are obliged to fight on the scheduled date. With that, I think they are now fully focused on their training in preparation for this big fight.

Garcia will now be tested. He talks a lot on social media, so let's see if he'll bring that talk into the ring with a real monster like Tank Davis.
The speculation will continue a lot of boxing fights fail close to the fight. Injuries and other reasons could stop the fight but I do not think it should be taking place any way Tank is a criminal who admitted his guilt and he gets rewarded by getting away with it and getting a mega fight that will earn him a lot of money. I know people make mistakes but he should have received a harsher penalty then he did. He knew he hurt people and he fled the scene after driving recklessly.

We don't have much choice but to get used about the harsh reality of this world because people are indeed getting favors and favored if they are famous and rich as money can almost buy anything in this world, and if money can't get through, then their influence should perhaps do the trick. In the case of Tank Davis, he and his camp decided plead guilty in-exchange for a shorter jail time because that case is almost impossible to avoid and that maybe the biggest fact why the fight suddenly came into reality as they already know that Tank is going to jail to do his time.
696  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Stephen Fulton vs. Naoya Inoue - WBC and WBO 122 lbs bout - May on: February 20, 2023, 06:04:01 PM
It's a humble thing for Inoue to say that he's also having troubles in terms of pressure. We've known the guy to be a very decorated and experienced fighter and we think that he's already past these stages wherein he's worried about the pressure. The jump from bantamweight to featherweight isn't that much, but he acknowledges that it might be something that he isn't thoroughly prepared for and that's commendable compared to fighters who talks trash and can't really stand up for it.

It's not that Inoue is already past the stages of being pressured. There will always be pressure if a boxer will fight a title match right away just after moving up. Aside from that, Inoue is used to fighting as a champion and not a challenger and that's the new environment he is facing and not the jump from 118 to 122 as for me, it shouldn't be a big deal.

Fighting also in Japan, where the boxing market industry is huge and decent money is circulating in every of his fight in his hometown, Inoue does carry a responsibility on his shoulder to win the fight or else, a negative post-effect is expected to follow although not to the point that it will be considered as worst.

He's moving up and the chance that he will be facing much tougher opponents will add to his pressure, the kind of conditioning
and training that he needed to undergo is not the same as the last division that he's fighting.

But that kind of gesture only shows respect to his opponent, knowing that even he's a challenger instead of talking trash to hype
the fight, Inoue is willing to take what is necessary to win against Fulton.

The end result will give either him or Fulton another hype to their respective careers.

He is just being humble. Surely he isn't the one who brags all the time like Broner. Inoue is even the top dog for bookmakers in this match despite him being the challenger and the first-timer in this division. Because Inoue move up, it is a mandatory fight for Fulton afaik so surely this is Inoue's initiative to fight someone in this new division he is in.

This will be an easy fight for Inoue which is not also a good odds again. If the line would 1.35 I think it will be enough for me to bet my usual small amount.

This bout is not a mandatory title defense for Stephen Fulton and he's not due for that yet. It's just that both camps have managed to agree on a certain terms to make the fight happen, the WBO gave Inoue a super-champion title to pave a way to make the fight much easier to happen as that title does have some perks to go directly and fight a champion even if Inoue just made the climb.

For the odds, just like what we are expecting to happen, Inoue might be listed by the bookies as the favorite or even a heavy-favorite despite the fact that this is first fight at super-bantam and he is just a challenger to the champion.
697  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Nonito Donaire vs Alejandro Santiago for WBC bantamweight title on: February 20, 2023, 05:33:20 PM
comparing their Boxing record, Donaire seems to have more advantage than Santiago. this will be an interesting match to watch, I'd like to see how Santiago will fair against someone who has more experience and has more advantage than him.
The only advantage Santiago has here is his age, LOL. Donaire is old, but like a fine wine, he still has that timing, and with his power, he can definitely KO his opponent. I have not seen the boxing highlights of Santiago, which is why I'm very confident that Donaire will win, but let's see if it will change my mind.

sorry if this might be a bit off-topic. it looks like they already have someone who is ready to take the fight in case one of the team decides to not continue with the match. from what I've read the reason Moloney's Management Bob Arum of "Top Rank promotions" has a problem with Donaire's Management "Probellum"(check here for the article).
That's the kind of politics that can destroy a potentially great fight. Of course, if both promoters do not agree, the fight is not going to happen.

I completely agree. Nonito Donaire might be older but in boxing, that makes little difference. This is not football, where each tiny bit of physical endurance is essential. This is more about strength, experience and skill, which Donaire has heaps of. People put way too much importance on age and completely ignore the fact that legendary boxers like Donaire have an amazing track record which has not wavered much. I also am betting on Donaire this fight.

Promoters only pretend to say that fights "won't happen" its all marketing strategy to get peoples attention. I don't fall for it.

I guess we can somehow compare the sport to football especially when it comes to endurance because this sport is all about physicality as well and that factor plays an important role to the boxers to have a good stamina to last a much longer fight or as long as needed. Without stamina, boxers don't have any strengths to pull a vicious punch to their opponent. But somehow, these legendaries, be it in football or boxing, they can always find ways how to preserve their strengths and stamina because of the experience they got and age factor won't matter if the foe doesn't have what it takes to defeat an experienced boxer with the likes of Nonito Donaire.
698  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: February 20, 2023, 07:01:08 AM
This makes me think that Giannis is going to have an edge for his team to win.

Looking at the roster though, Team Giannis does have a clear edge on winning against Team Lebron.

Good to see that team Lebron is not stacked with such big names as for sure, his critics will point it out again and will be serious even if the purpose of All-Star is just for entertainment purposes. Around less than an hour to go and tip-off will now commence between Team Lebron and Team Giannis. I hope that this game will be exciting with a thrilling close out game at the end.
Ever since they changed the format from East Vs. West, Team Lebron has won all the all-star games and has a record of 4-0 currently.

Now the roster is more balanced than what it was last year, but I can't think of a way how Team Lebron will be losing this time knowing that he has the 2-Time MVP in Jokic and Doncic as well. It's sad to see Steph and Zion not playing though because of injuries. We will miss those no look three-point shots, high flying dunks this All-star game.  Anyway, lets just enjoy the game, and put our bets on it maybe. I put my bet on Team Lebron as I believe the streak continues, and has a better chance of winning (for me).

Was it 4-0 or 5-0 record and this time Team Giannis broke his winning streak. Correct me if I'm wrong though.

But yes, it is much more fun if it's the old format where it is East vs. West because that format is much more competitive compared to what we have now where the selected captains will be selecting their reserves and starting five. Anyway, Jayson Tatum won the All-Star MVP award garnering 55 points, half of that score was made beyond the arc. Quite unexpected if I would say because LeBron got Mr. Triple Double as well as Embiid and Luka, but it was a well-deserved play by Tatum, no doubt.

Friends, I might disappoint you by saying that Bivol vs Beterbiev fight is not going to happen in nearest future. The reason is simple - Dmitri Bivol is representing Russia. In November 2022, Mauricio Sulaiman, world boxing council, has removed Russian and Belorussian boxer from ranking and dont allow them to participate. So either the war ends before their potential fight (not likely), or he will make an exception for Bivol (also not likely), or Bivol would have to change his passport. Probably both will have one more fight before they might possibly meet.
I don't think all those options will happen. Damn war and politics affecting our beloved sports. Thanks for clearing that out though, it seems like we forgot there's a war happening out there.
Also according here, he has not approached WBC yet for an exemption.
Quote
“Bivol has not approached the WBC (to ask for an exemption)," Sulaiman told reporters and Izquierdazo. “At our last Convention, we were very clear about our position in relation to fighters from Russia and Belarus. And that is the case with Bivol."
Well, I guess we have no choice but to wait for that war to end.

We almost forgot it since it's been a year since these 2 countries are still bombarding with each other. Many Ukrainians are affected, heritages being destroyed and at the same time, sports has been affected on these 2 countries and that includes the boxers from Russia and Belarus which is a bit unfortunate if you are a boxing fan. I just hope that this war will end soon or maybe this year, and I also hope that this war between between 2 countries will not escalate anymore to the point that other countries will join the war.

I guess the best option for Bivol with the 3 options that he shares is to change his passport. I don't expect the WBC to make an exception for him just for the sake of money. Very disappointing, but understandable and it's beyond his control anymore.

Recently I have watched a short video of Beterbiev being interviewed in the airport on a return home. He has said that he is interested in unifying belts, but he has added (figuratively, not saying directly) that "a fight can not happen if one boxer wants to fight, but other dont want to fight". He did not say directly that Bivol refuses, nor he refuses to fight Bivol. But he has made it clear that it is not easy to make this fight. There is something in between. Management, money, politics, tactics. So guess we just need to wait.

Well, that's a great detail, I also think the same, although now the contracts surprise me because of the clause that they always make them sign so that if or when the fights take place, even if the boxer doesn't want to, he has to make use of activating said clause, I I am more of what they think that if the boxer does not want the other to always try to find a way to convince him, now there are many things like social networks, then there is no need for an apparent clause, I imagine that such a clause is to ensure the spectacle, but I don't see it very clearly is my way of seeing it, things are now handled on another level.

What Beterbiev said in that interview really interests me if what does he mean by that, I know he couldn't say it directly that Bivol is refusing to make the fight happen but it's already clear who he meant as there is nobody else who holds a belt in the LHW. Now even if both camps will agree to a fight, I doubt that the governing bodies will allow it or at least make the fight legal where it will be a unification fight. There's many hurdle right now between them before they can even start a negotiation.

How can a fight be made if he has pleased guilty? Any normal person would go to jail for hitting 4 people and fleeing the crime scene. I hate how rich famous people get away with everything. Any normal person gets jailed for many years for this. I hope Garcia knocks him out and teaches him a lesson I hope the fan base show that they are not supporters of him any more because of his hit and run. I used to like Tank but I have a entirely new view of him since I learned about this. I cannot believe he will get away with it and continue boxing.

Unfortunately, that's how the world works, rich and influential people can get away with it.

Anyhow, it's really hard to fathom that, but we might as well stay away from that issue and just again, hope that fight will happen. And probably this is one reason why so many people hate him like Bradley who also wishes that Ryan Garcia will knock him out cold so send him a rude awakening. Yeah, that ankle issue or him in a wheelchair could just be marketing ploy to sway people's opinion on him. But the question is, will it influence us? I don't think so.

Most probably, it won't, even if riding with a stretcher. Of course, we will get curious why but knowing about the reason afterwards, it won't matter anymore especially if they are just faking it.

Now, about Tank Davis's case, we shouldn't involve and connect their personal life to their career in the world of boxing as it's their personality and performance inside the ring will make the people choose them. People aren't really interested what's going on in their real life, what matters is how they will defeat every opponents they will face. We only want the entertainment they can bring and not their personal issues in life.
