701  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: January 29, 2022, 10:13:49 AM
Tottenham is currently unlucky in the transfer market. After Adama Traoré decided in favor of FC Barcelona instead of Tottenham yesterday, the next preferred candidate Luis Diaz from Woverhampton Wanderers will probably not go to London either, but to Liverpool FC. A delegation from Liverpool is on its way to South America as the player is currently with the Colombian national team.

Barca is getting serious on the transfer market. After they signed Adama Traoré today, they are also in close negotiations with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang from Arsenal London
However, Juventus Torino is also said to still be in the race for Aubameyang. In the end, the money will probably be decisive and I see Juventus as having the advantage since I think that Barca will not invest such much money for an old player with the high debt amount.
703  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Still not satisfied with crypto games on: January 28, 2022, 04:31:23 PM
Getting bored with crypto gaming projects, I'd like to make money out of something fun to play but with crypto games it's really about the money you will make out of the games, I've not seen real good game Devs utilizing the power of blockchain or maybe it's my taste of games that im used to, I just still prefer spending more time on my Xbox than crypto games because it's more fun than crypto games

How should they utilizing the power of blockchain with such high fees?
The transaction fees one currently pays for larger blockchain ecosystems are not feasible to build purely blockchain-based games. That's why I think fee-less projects like Iota will sooner or later prevail in this area.
704  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Neven's Law: Only a Decade Before Quantum Computers Hack Bitcoin? on: January 28, 2022, 04:27:32 PM

I wonder why everyone is so focused on Bitcoin and Quantum Computing. This topic has been discussed so many times before. If the encryption used by Bitcoin can be broken, then many other things can be broken, such as online banking, secret correspondence, etc. because the world is built on this encryption. Then Bitcoin would not only have a problem but the whole digital world.
In addition, there are already many scientific studies of algorithms that are quantum safe. These would simply have to be implemented and the issue would be settled.
705  Local / Altcoins (Deutsch) / Re: [Diskussion] - [WAVES]. Ultimative Crypto-Token Blockchain Plattform. on: January 27, 2022, 05:05:57 PM
Wirklich Strange.

706  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Altcoins worth investing at dip on: January 27, 2022, 05:01:39 PM
Buying the dip in a bear market is pretty risky. This strategy only works well when we are in a bull market like the last two years. I would just wait as it is apparent that the market has bottomed out, then prices will rise again in the medium term. Yesterday's rally looks like the typical bull trap. Everyone who bought yesterday will certainly incur losses if he expects that this was a market return.
707  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: January 27, 2022, 04:58:15 PM
Maybe the best thing will be to keep Haaland and bring in some more new and good players in the team to make the team really strong. And if they want to compete with Bayern Munich they need to do that.

If it were up to Dortmund, they would probably want to keep Haaland for his entire career. But if Haaland wants to leave, Dortmund will have to sell him. A player who wants to leave will then perform less and then the club will think twice about whether they would rather take a transfer fee of at least 70 million and use it to buy new hungry players or whether they take the risk of keeping him against his will and he then performs poorly. In the worst case, he would then also be free of charge. Dortmund has already had bad experiences with such players, for example with Osuame Dembele.
708  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Still haven't sold a bit of BTC since 2013... if I can do it you can do it too! on: January 27, 2022, 04:37:08 PM
It's not easy because I'm not a rich person. But I dream to become one one day and this is what keeps me hodling. It's hard but doable.

I would argue that of the very least Bitcoin Hodler here are rich people. Nevertheless, there is a difference if you have a good job on the side and can support your life/family on that alone or if you lost your job in the crisis and now have to sell your cryptos with a heavy heart to make ends meet.
709  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar - UEFA Qualifiers on: January 27, 2022, 04:33:42 PM
World Cup every two years is feasible and the other competitions could adapt their schedule to be in between. For example World Cup 2022-2024-2026, the others 2023-2025-2027 but of course they have to get ride from useless competitions like Nations Leagues.. and mix AFCON with qualifiers or dunno

So a big tournament every year? This would completely destroy the charm and value of these competitions. If you add the club competitions, then the viewer is already completely saturated with football, so why shorten the period for global competitions like the World Cup?
710  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2021/2022 on: January 27, 2022, 04:30:24 PM
Manchester United needs a manager who will be as stellar as the players he is trying to manage, maybe that will give a good result. Ole and Carrick are nothing like those coaches. If the players do not understand the subordination, then the discipline in the team suffers and all plans fall apart. Maybe Zidane would be a good option for Manchester - he knows how to connect with the players and he is a star both as a player and as a manager.

Zidane already didn't work properly at Real, although he knew the club and some players well from his active days. He never played in England and therefore doesn't know the mentality there well. This is very different from Spain or Italy. And I don't know of any example where a top player successfully coached a top club a few years after he quit as a player. Such experiments have mostly gone wrong in the past. In my opinion, the problem at ManU is the composition of the players and not the coach itself. ManU's management needs to clean up the squad before success can return.
711  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: There is fear in the market, isn't it time to buy? on: January 25, 2022, 04:33:13 PM
Does this mean that we have felt the bottom and there will be a rebound soon? Is it time to buy?

Well, we are in the middle of a bear market and also the stock market and the economy in general is on the brink. I don't think we've seen the bottom of prices yet. In the next few days, several large tech companies (among other things Apple) will report their quarterly figures. If they turn out worse than expected, tech stocks will go downhill further and since the stock market is currently highly correlated with the crypto markets, it is quite possible that Bitcoin will still fall below 30k. If Bitcoin falls, altcoins will fall further as well.
712  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread -- Group Stage! on: January 25, 2022, 04:25:34 PM
it is true that many star players the dressing room situation has become unstable especially regarding the sensitive issue of salary differences,
because the difference in salary makes the mentality of players to each other not conducive. the current problem in PSG and other big and rich club is, clubs can buy star players but can't buy or get trophies. However, buying a star player is a short way to give PSG the chance to pursue the CL trophy they have been dreaming of. Regarding PSG vs Real Madrid I think don't underestimate PSG they might give you an unexpected surprise.

That's why I'm generally a fan of salary caps, as they are in the U.S., for example. There are caps in basketball, football, soccer and ice hockey, although almost all clubs are owned by rich people or investors. This makes the competitions much more balanced and exciting than in Europe. In both the leagues and the European cups, you have a handful of clubs that win the titles regularly and it is very rare that an "outsider" club wins.

714  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: This use case even make any sense? on: January 24, 2022, 04:36:18 PM
Do you know that there are many tokens that offers nothing but rewards when holding them? They most times ends with ---nomics you hold the tokens you get some altcoins in your wallet every 4hrs or so, what is your view on such projects?

It's called a Ponzi scheme. The more you  hold, the more you will get .... as long as enough people keep buying in and keeping it alive

Exactly! As long as prices keep rising, new investors will keep coming in, hoping that prices will continue to rise. But at some point, the house of cards will collapse. We currently see that especially those projects that do not have a solid foundation lose the most. It's just like in 2017/2018 when many projects that were worth billions in the meantime but had no business model or basis at all collapsed.
715  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Exchanges for new altcoins on: January 24, 2022, 04:22:19 PM
I have launched my own ERC-20 token at the end of December. I am working on getting this token launched publicly. I would love to have some ideas of exchanges to list on. A lot of listing sites are charging $10,000 - $40,000 , I would love to list on some cheaper (but still good) sites to begin with. I am listed on coinsbit. I want to start getting this public and would love some advice/help.

If they only request $10-40k for a listing, then it could not have been a big exchange. Big exchanges usually charge much more. The only way I see for you is to list on a decentralized exchange like Uniswap. If the trading volume of your token will be good there for a longer time then centralized exchange will list your token sooner or later without paying them.

Manchester United have pulled out of the bidding war to sign Borussia Dortmund star Erling Haaland.

Haaland is leaning towards a summer transfer to Real Madrid and United are ready to turn to other targets, according to ESPN.

The question is whether Haaland wants to join Real Madrid. He has always indicated that England is his destination, as his father was already a player in the Premier League and he himself lived there for a few years. Haaland has also proven in the past that he doesn't necessarily follow big money but what he wants. He went to Dortmund although he has been chased by all the top clubs and even could have gotten more money elsewhere.
718  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread -- Group Stage! on: January 23, 2022, 01:05:34 PM
Atletico Madrid - Manchester United matchup is a really tough one for both clubs. Manchester United seem to be a little closer to advancing to the next round but it is still hard to predict. Because although Atletico Madrid are having a difficult time these days, they are still an unpredictable club. They can surprise everyone by showing a decent performance. But if Manchester United get an advantageous score in Wanda Metropolitano, then they can finish this home.

Both teams are not at their best. While Atletico got off to a great start to the season, they have slowed down considerably in recent games. Manchester United, on the other hand, started the season weakly, but has improved a lot in recent games since Rangnick became coach, especially in defense, and the trend is pointing upward. That's why I would see ManUnited with a slight advantage. But in principle I see the match completely open.

720  Economy / Economics / Re: Facebook Diem on the run for launch on: January 23, 2022, 12:49:38 PM
I think that facebook libra  or anything that won't occur at any point in the near future. Individuals expect that it will occur yet I accept that it won't occur by any means
Its already Metaverse.

But could we really assure that it wont end on the same fate.
https://coinyuppie.com/will-facebooks-metaverse-end-up-the-same-as-libra/

I dont really expect that much about development on this.

Facebook has lost its chance with Libra for now. I think Libra will only play a role in the metaverse, and that can still take a few years to develop to this extend that Libra will play a major role. I rather believe that Paypal will launch the first fiat money backed "cryptocurrency" and become successful with it. Paypal has already announced this indirectly and I think they have learned from Facebook's mistakes.
