1201  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: what you worst experience on crypto on: August 02, 2021, 10:02:41 AM
My worst experience in crypto was, that I bought 1000 ETH for around $0.3 back in 2014/2015 and almost completely sold it for $2.1 Cheesy
I thought at the time, the price has increased sevenfold, it can not go further up. Well, as we know today, I was way off the mark. With today's prices, you can no longer imagine that, but back then it was really like that.
1202  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Chances to get a losing streak on: August 02, 2021, 09:58:41 AM
Honestly, it is hard to determine the chance of a losing streak at online casinos. Why? Because, on the contrary to offline casinos, the casino programs can be set individually and accordingly the parameters can be changed in such a way that in the long run the bank always wins a certain percentage. How high this percentage is, is up to the casino itself. Since they are not known, it is not possible to determine the probability of a losing streak.
1203  Economy / Economics / New regulatory law to allow funds in Germany to hold up to 20% in crypto on: August 02, 2021, 09:20:58 AM
As reported by Bloomberg News, as of today (Monday 02.08.2021) a new regulatory law is to come into force in Germany, which allows special funds that are registered in Germany to invest up to 20% of their allocations in crypto. These funds can be purchased on the stock exchange.

1204  Local / Anfänger und Hilfe / Re: [MERITS] [BOUNTY] Erhalte Merits on: August 01, 2021, 04:45:05 PM

1205  Economy / Economics / Re: Why don't banks work with cryptocurrency? on: August 01, 2021, 04:28:03 PM
it is clear that banks are basically under the control of the government.

Well, they are not under control of the government, but under control of the law. Sure the law is made by the government. But if you see it this way, you can also say, we all are not free because we are under control of the government, too. There are some regulation laws and back must be lawful according to the regulation laws. In crypto just as in other asset forms in which they invest.
1206  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is your Average Bitcoin Buying Price? on: August 01, 2021, 04:23:22 PM
For Daytrder like me its very hard to say what will be average. Although now a days i will prefer  30$-40k$ is my average buying price. If i found Btc  around 32k . i will diffinitely buy at this price for long term.

The thread's creator question is about long-term hodling. In day trading you usually do not hold Bitcoins longer than a day to avoid surprises, especially when you do leveraging the trade. So your answer does not make sense and you should read the opening post properly before answering next time.
1207  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: August 01, 2021, 04:20:46 PM
if Robert Lewandowski will leave bayern munich at some point, there is only one club where he will move to - real madrid Cool
It's true that he is still very productive, if I'm not mistaken last year he made 48 goals in 40 games. He is also still 30 years old, there are still 3-5 more years he can survive there. But reportedly Munich will not sell it to anyone.
In addition, Real Madrid does not seem interested in Lewandowski, their main target, it seems, is Mbaape.
I don't think Bayern Munich is ready to give out Lewandoskii. Despite he age, he is still a very strong and talented player. Winning the golden boot last season with 48 goals. Although, Real Madrid seems not interested in signing him. He have been in Bayern since 2014, and he is one of the key player in their squad.

Bayern Munich will not release Lewandoskii before finding a new talented player. Lewandoski is Bayern Munich's main player and he is Bayern's goal machine. Even though he is older, he is still able to perform exceptionally well. I don't see any reason to sell Bayern Munich's Lewandowski at the moment.

And even if they do find one, it usually needs at least one season until he could be effective enough to replace Lewandowski. Of course, the option is to buy Haaland for a enormous amount of money and he could immediately replace Lewandowski so Bayern could release him. But, on the one hand, Dortmund would not sell him to the league competitor Bayern if there is at least on other offer from abroad and on the other hand, he would cost so much, Bayern would not pay it.
1208  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will long-term investments in the crypto space provide any guarantee? on: July 30, 2021, 10:32:21 AM
Aside from Bitcoin (BTC), will long-term investments in the crypto space provide any guarantee?
Of course my question is based on some experiences that occur in the market.

No, because there is no certainty in any investment - crypto or otherwise. The current market conditions could change at any time so that a long-term investment is no longer safe. But in the past, long-term HODLing in crypto was the only right way!

A good example of this is the oil market. Until Corona, oil companies were a safe bet with some of the highest dividends around. Corona (which came out of the blue) shook up the entire market, making oil stocks unattractive to many investors today. A good 1.5 years ago, no one could have imagined this.
1209  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Your betting budget on: July 30, 2021, 10:27:04 AM
I kind o like feeling in control of my finances and that means controlling my spending and being very aware of what goes in and what goes out. I normally check my accounts every month and may make a few decisions on what to spend next month if things are not looking correct. One of the things I do is to set aside 10% of my income for things that I really do not need - expensive clothing, gadgets and electronics, books, games,... and part of that is gambling. For me, a reasonable gambling budget is 3 to 5% of my income, although I may allow more if I have some extraordinary income that month. How do you plan your gambling or fun budget?

Congrats, you made the first step towards money and balance management which is actually one of the most important parts in order to be successful in gambling.

I really can recommend this (old) book from John Patrick which explain the importance very well, for all who show more interest in the topic. Of course, there are also a lot of free sources available on the web covering this topic.
1210  Economy / Economics / Re: Amazon will accept Bitcoin payment this year on: July 30, 2021, 10:23:09 AM
For me, this is one big reason why Bitcoin suddenly jumped from the previous consolidation range of $30k to $32k and now between $39k to $40k. It’s a good decision by Amazon to embrace Bitcoin in open arms, because they’ve finally been enlightened on how BTC payments would help boost not only their giant e-commerce platform, but also the adoption and awareness to its consumers.

Reading through the thread would sometimes make sense before posting here. Then you would have realized that Amazon already denied that they will not add Bitcoin as a payment option soon. It was a small English newspaper which brought this rumor to the surface. And it obviously was a hoax. However, Amazon confirmed that they are still working on their own "stable coin" which they will integrate and accept in the upcoming year.
1211  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: [Collection Thread] Series and films in which Bitcoin (or Altcoins) appear on: July 30, 2021, 10:14:37 AM
I added "How to sell drugs online (fast)" season 3 to the list. The new season was released a few days ago and like in the previous seasons Bitcoin plays a mature role again. It is mentioned and shown several times. Bitcoin is the main currency used to store the value. I personally am a fan of the show. The third season was the best so far and the ending remains open enough that there is room for a fourth season. I hope for it.

Here is the trailer for all who are interested https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RoRlXpi7NDs.

PS: To all the other series/episodes posted, I will look into it and add it soon, just a little busy at the moment Smiley

https://www.goal.com/en-gb/news/lewandowski-will-be-here-for-another-two-years-chelsea/4s39syqqkgz01h64kg8j5xcnc

According to Goal.com, Chelsea have been linked with Bayern Munich's top striker Robert Lewandowski but the chairman says that he won't be leaving. And he added that he will be playing for 2 more years at Bayern. I think this should be enough for Chelsea to step back.
He was probably just offered an amount that does not reflect his talent ... or the penalties for breach of contract are so high that the amount offered by Chelsea seems unprofitable.

if Robert Lewandowski will leave bayern munich at some point, there is only one club where he will move to - real madrid Cool

I don't think he chose Real Madrid, but it could actually be interesting for him. I think that they will win the money, which means that he will go where they give more. And I think English clubs have more financial potential right now, so I'm betting on Chelsea or Manchester City. However, in my opinion, each of these changes will be bad for him. He should stay in Bayern as it is unclear whether a change in style of play would end his career.

Lewandowski will turn 33 in three weeks. He will play at least one more season at Bayern because Bayern will not let him go and he has not given any hints that he absolutely wants to leave Bayern. Whether he leaves Bayern next season certainly also depends on how well he gets along with the new coach. But then he would be almost 34. Why should a club like Chelsea or Madrid buy such a player who can then perhaps play for another two years at world-class level?

Bin aktuell nämlich ziemlich out of merit.  Undecided

1214  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Public companies That own Bitcoin on: July 28, 2021, 10:09:31 AM

The list in the opening post is about public companies which own Bitcoin. The three companies you provide do not directly own Bitcoin but have shares in companies which deal with Bitcoins or indirectly use Bitcoin. So they are not really qualified to be added to the list.
1215  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Motivated by "breaking the code" on: July 28, 2021, 10:04:52 AM
One of my neighbours, a million years ago, was obviously addict to the slot machines. He would spend hours spinning in a nearby bar (these machines are allowed in bars in my country of origin) and my take is that he would spend a fortune on it.

Slot machines are money rip-offs. You will never make money in the long run because they are programmed so that you always lose. Slot machines are not just random, but they have certain mechanisms implemented that ensure that the operator always wins and the mechanisms for winning are completely intransparent.
1216  Economy / Economics / Re: Amazon will accept Bitcoin payment this year on: July 28, 2021, 09:58:11 AM
It must be a fake. Amazon announced today that they will not accept Bitcoin. Even if they were working on Bitcoin integration, they wouldn't deny it so vehemently. The bitcoin price has also already reacted and has lost over 10% from its interim highs yesterday. It's just always amazing how unconfirmed rumors, can trigger such a price increase.

Their statement can be interpreted in multiple ways:

Quote
Notwithstanding our interest in the space, the speculation that has ensued around our specific plans for cryptocurrencies is not true

Here they are talking about "specific plans". IMO, they are just saying that the news that Amazon will start accepting from end of 2021 is not true, and they don't have a fixed timeline for this. And they also stated that they have some "interest in the space". It is not all gloomy, in my opinion. They are working on something related to cryptocurrency and we don't know the exact details.

Well, their statement includes that they are still working on introducing a stable coin by next year. I think that's what they mean by support for cryptocurrencies. They will not support Bitcoin directly, if only for regulatory reasons. That's why they are focusing on their own stable coin which will certainly be regulated and therefore accepted without any problems. However, this stable coin will have nothing in common with the advantages of Bitcoin.
1217  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: July 27, 2021, 03:05:25 PM
The problem they have is that now they lack confidence massively and have enormous self-doubts. If they can't manage to get the situation under control quickly, I bet they are getting into serious trouble even in the second league. Other teams realize Schalke can be beaten and that raises optimism for any opponent Schalke is going to face. Rough times ahead of Schalke.

I wouldn't think it's that bad after the first game. In the past, it has been shown that all traditional clubs that have been relegated from the first league have had problems in the first games of the first season. In addition, they had Hamburg as an opponent who is also one of the top favorites for promotion. It will now depend on the next games for Schalke against Kiel and Aue. Schalke has to win these, otherwise they can get into a downward spiral again.
1218  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: July 27, 2021, 02:47:51 PM
It looks like Griezmann won't leave Barcelona because he doesn't want to leave and he is also willing to lower his salary. As is known, Barcelona has big financial problems and wants to get rid of top earners. As the most promising club Griezmann's ex-CluAtletico Madrid had recently been traded, but Barca does not want to give such a good player to a league rival, because they do not want to make the same mistake as with Luiz Suarez.
1219  Economy / Economics / Re: Amazon will accept Bitcoin payment this year on: July 27, 2021, 02:44:45 PM
I just came across a post in another thread who found it the article is probably fake. All the things you mention here rather confirm that Amazon hasn't specifically planned to announce any plans nor have they finally decided to accept Bitcoin by the end of the year. They might have some plans in the pipeline, but nothing that should or could be leaked to the public as far as I know.

1220  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Another new phase of Convid-19 due to unvaccinated people on: July 26, 2021, 09:17:37 AM
I mean it's well known by now that even if everyone is vaccinated there will still be limitations because the vaccination is not as effective in some people as it is in others.  You can see that well in Israel. Although there are relatively many vaccinated, there are already lockdowns again because the Delta variant is spreading.
