1301  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The First Bank In Mexico Is About to Start Accepting Bitcoin on: June 30, 2021, 07:08:00 PM
But it's quite clear that Salinas has just conveyed his willingness to adopt crypto without any regulatory backing. At least for the time being! We will see what future holds for the crypto community of Mexico.

It could also be that Ricardo Salinas already has more information. After all, he is very influential and well connected, and the Ministry of Finance must still deny everything at this point. This would not be the first time in history that there is officially a different opinion than is being negotiated in the background. We should just wait for the next time and see how it develops.
1302  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The First Bank In Mexico Is About to Start Accepting Bitcoin on: June 30, 2021, 03:08:52 PM
Actually that bank is mostly used in small towns where people have no option but open an account with them, that people from small towns probably have never heard of Bitcoin mainly because internet access in some areas in Mexico is almost non-existent or people just don't care about that and don't use it.

And if they had heard it before, they probably wouldn't change anything. Bitcoin would not be an payment option for them. The people there are certainly not wealthy and would certainly not accept $2-3 in transaction fees just to be able to pay with Bitcoin. People should stop seeing Bitcoin in its current state as a money substitute. It may be feasible for large-volume payment transactions such as trade between countries, but not for the little guy in the store around the corner.

It's a shame Germany lost, I didn't like England's game... They didn't play football and they didn't let Germany play! It was a classic England bus... I hope Ukraine can win them, although it's almost unreal...  Grin

Why not? That Switzerland would advance against France was unreal, too Smiley

It is right. England was not good. But Germany was worse. That's why they deserve to go further. England was also not good in the group stage, so I think Ukraine has a chance if they play as concentrated and compact defense as they did yesterday against Sweden.

After the round of 16, there are three favorites for me for the title: Italy, Spain and the Czech Republic. I wouldn't have seen any of the three as title favorites before the tournament.
1305  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA EURO 2020 Discussion Thread | Current Phase: Finals in June 2021! on: June 29, 2021, 04:01:55 PM
Sweden and Ukraine have 50% chance to win. I think they are at same level and this match is unpredictable.

I would see definitive Sweden as the clear favorite. However, Ukraine is not without a chance, but Sweden has better footballing quality. That may not mean anything, as we saw yesterday that good team spirit can beat a star team, but I favor Sweden.

It will not be easy for Germany to beat England, considering that England's goal has never been touched by a goal from the opposing team.  Kane is not going to let this go easily.  Although Germany is a fairly stable team, this match is eagerly awaited.  After Croatia was defeated by Spain, it was possible for Germany to be defeated by England.

Yes, actually I also support Germany in this match. At least they will win by only 1 goal difference. Even I think the match will be quite interesting. Remember both teams have the same problem, their strikers have not been able to perform well. Even Kane has not been able to score goals. I think in the next game the midfielders will fight, whoever wins in midfield he will dominate the game.

An hour ago I would have bet on an England win, but now that the German coach has finally realized that he has to leave Sane, Gündogan and Gnabry out, I have hope that Germany will win this game  Cheesy
1306  Local / Altcoins (Deutsch) / Re: [Diskussion] - [KMD] Komodo [ARRR] Pirate - Zcash Zero Knowledge Privacy on: June 28, 2021, 02:23:55 PM

1307  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA EURO 2020 Discussion Thread | Current Phase: Finals in June 2021! on: June 28, 2021, 02:14:08 PM
Croatia is missing Lovren (yellow cards) and Perišić (Covid) today. They are really important for our gameplay and even with them I'd expect Spain to dominate, without them it will be even harder - practically impossible.

There is not a single part of the game in which Croatia can try and threaten (like for example dead balls), Spain is better in everything. It will literally take a miracle to go through today.
I agree. Croatia chances dropped drastically for me after seeing absentees, Perisic in particular.. Spain is no longer that hard number which is very hard to beat but Croatia is weaker than it used to be too. I am expecting a game with few opportunities and few goals tho. I don't think I will risk betting for this game after seeing Portugual one, better to avoid it.

In theory, you're right. But I wouldn't pin it on one player. Croatia has a very balanced team overall. Only Modric has an exceptional position. Austria and the Czech Republic have shown how strong underdogs can be, so I would still give Croatia a chance to make it to the next round. I don't see it that clearly tonight.
1308  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What would the ideal cryptocurrency ecosystem be like? on: June 27, 2021, 02:24:00 PM
What should the ideal world be like?

There are enough platforms that have a number of good features, but none really has all the good ones combined. Basically, four characteristics are important: low fees, highly scalable, decentralized and a fair distribution of coins/tokens. For the latter, one would have to develop a consensus that does not favor the stronger one.

1309  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: John McAfee is dead, are his coins lost? on: June 27, 2021, 10:50:11 AM
But someone has to ask it, what will happen with his cryptos, we can be sure he was holding a huge amount, so, let's keep an eye close to this topic.

That is indeed an interesting question. I recently saw a documentary about him and his life. I think he was quite paranoid at the end and had trusted only a few. If he still owned crypto - there were always rumors that he was actually broke - I think he took it to the grave. I can't imagine that he would have deposited his private keys somewhere, because he always had to expect that the FBI would find out about him and confiscate his virtual assets.
1310  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA EURO 2020 Discussion Thread | Current Phase: Finals in June 2021! on: June 27, 2021, 10:45:41 AM
I think yesterday we have seen a good and bad thing: the bad is that Austria did not win against Italy. They would have deserved it very much. It would have been interesting if the 1-0 had counted and how Italy would have reacted then.
The good thing is: Italy is not the over team as they believed after the group stage. The tournament is therefore completely open in my opinion. There is no clear favorite anymore, as all top teams have already shown their good and bad side in this tournament.
1311  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Still thinks that crypto is manipulation free? on: June 27, 2021, 10:42:10 AM
Nope, it's all manipulator! Grin

All markets are manipulated more or less. The more regulated a market is, the more difficult it is or the less manipulation takes place. The crypto market is not regulated at all, so it's a bit of a Wild West. Manipulation definitely takes place. But that has been the case since crypto's existence and will remain so for the time being.
1312  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA EURO 2020 Discussion Thread | Current Phase: Finals in June 2021! on: June 26, 2021, 07:01:01 PM
A really good performance from Denmark. Considering how they entered the tournament, I cannot be happier for them.
Well deserved today, they are in the easier part of the draw, can they become the dark horse of the tournament?

Italy looks like a certain bet for tonight, they showed much more than Austria so far. The odds on a handicap win are good as well.

Yes, I was afraid they would go down after the event in the first game but they caught on well and clearly dominated Wales today. The next opponent is the Netherlands or the Czech Republic. With the performance today, they can beat both opponents. It remains very exciting and I trust them to make it to the semifinals.
1313  Local / Deutsch (German) / Re: Bitcointalk Tippspiel 'EURO 2020 ' sponsored by Bitcasino.io! on: June 26, 2021, 06:58:09 PM

1314  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA EURO 2020 Discussion Thread | Current Phase: Finals in June 2021! on: June 25, 2021, 03:19:35 PM
tomorrow, italy with austria Cheesy
not big match.. for real but is necessary for understand if italy is good for going in final or not, Smiley of course in my humble opinion

i hope is funny with many goals Cheesy eheh

Before the start of the tournament, France was the big favorite for me. In the meantime, I think Italy is better overall. That's why I see it like you do. It's a good test to see if Italy is really that strong. I think Austria has no chance tomorrow. Although they certainly have a talented team.
1315  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bear Run and the end of many of the Meme/Sh*tCoins on: June 24, 2021, 02:40:26 PM
Personally, I think and hope that a longer bear run throughout summer could potentially lead to the end of many projects that were created solely to cash in on the hype of crypto. My analysis is that less than 20% of crypto holders are invested because they believe in the utilization or general functionality of their coin or token. The overall market cap of all of crypto is around 30% of its stated amount on CoinMarketCap, IMO.

If crypto is going to continue to climb the mainstream latter in terms of quality investment tool, stability and actual utilization for the purpose many of these tokens/coins were originally created then we are going to need to purge some of the craziness. I am hoping this bear run will be the beginning of that process.

I think not. It has been shown in the last bear market of 2018-2020 that many shitcoins disappear, but there is still some surviving. And especially in subsequent bull markets, new shitcoins then come shooting out of the ground. This seems to be a never ending cycle.
1316  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA EURO 2020 Discussion Thread | Current Phase: Finals in June 2021! on: June 24, 2021, 02:36:44 PM
England will have Wembley advantage but is it actually a disadvantage with all that pressure?

Yes, there is a lot of pressure. England have a bad record against Germany, and have lost to them in important matches a few times. There is a big psychological barrier for England to overcome here. The players will be worried, I think... whereas Germany are more used to winning, and don't have any pressure of home advantage, either, plus expectations for their team are lower than usual.

If Germany plays like against France and Hungary then they won't have a chance against England. If they play like against Portugal they have a good chance to proceed to the next round. Germany shows two completely different faces as already in the qualification and in the preparation matches. In some matches they play unbeatable football and in others you have to fear that they will go down. I only remember the game a few months ago against Spain, when they lost 0-6. The same Spanish team which does not play very well in this tournament yet.
So I think the match against England is completely open for both sides. But I would favor England, also because of the home advantage.

1318  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [Scam Alert] Private Key Scam on: June 23, 2021, 03:59:25 PM
Is this now basically a warning to never give out your private key or did you really find an app in the app store that asks for the private key to confirm the transaction? If so, it would be helpful to name this app here.
Often people search beforehand to find an app is safe and then when they become aware of the thread, they can protect themselves from it.
1319  Economy / Economics / Re: The trend of prices is still upward, any hope for downward? on: June 23, 2021, 03:52:47 PM
I think much depends of how far China is trying to go to purge the mining industry. If the Chinese government ist really serious, and not like in 2018 when they took unsuccessful action against Bitcoin, then the price could fall significantly further to 26k or even 22k. If they are serious, the mining will shift, as can already be seen in some cases, e.g. towards Kazakhstan, which at the same time also brings uncertainty that in turn is not good for stabilizing the price.
1320  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA EURO 2020 Discussion Thread | Current Phase: Finals in June 2021! on: June 23, 2021, 03:47:39 PM
But of course I expect them to lose in the next round against whoever they play from the France/Germany/Portugal group.

You are very pessimistic. I see it differently. If they were to play against France, they probably wouldn't stand a chance. Against Germany, the chances are 50/50. Germany played well against Portugal, but the team still has many weaknesses. Against Portugal or Hungary (nobody thinks they can make it to the next round, but I wouldn't write them off ), I would see England as the favorite. So it's very much down to which team they're going to get as an opponent.
