1261  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is your Average Bitcoin Buying Price? on: July 13, 2021, 01:25:32 PM
Funny answers! I would have expected more choice below $1000k Cheesy Honestly, I have never bought any Bitcoin over 4k. And for 4k I bought last year only because the price had collapsed so violently by Corona that I was sure that it would rise again sooner or later, and because I had some cash left to invest. The most Bitcoin I bought somewhere between $80 and $600. Over the time, I have sold some Bitcoins from time to time, which of course have a high value, but relative to all purchased I have sold only about 50% so far.
1262  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA EURO 2020 Discussion Thread | Current Phase: Finals in June 2021! on: July 13, 2021, 01:20:16 PM
Who'd you pick? We really did not have any players that were clearly above the others. Maybe Sterling, but he didn't really show up for the final.

The choice for Donnarumma was okay for me. As you wrote, there was no real standout player who could have made it otherwise. Donnarumma held up well and saved several balls in two penalty shootouts.
Personally, I would have chosen Eriksen. Just as a sign. I don't think anyone would have objected to that.
1263  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Did Twitch secretly end payments with Bitcoin? on: July 12, 2021, 04:51:10 PM
in my opinion, the payment process has been updated and is different from the old way so that the payment menu using bitcoin does not exist, or it could be that Twitch has removed the bitcoin payment menu. I don't understand much about Twitch because I don't use it but I hope that payments on Twitch can use Bitcoin again so that there are more bitcoin users.

What do you mean the payment process has been updated? Beside credit cards the following payment options are currently available

Do you mean the crypto payments has been integrated with one of the other available payment options?

I also find it strange that you can't find any news or official announcement about this.
1264  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA EURO 2020 Discussion Thread | Current Phase: Finals in June 2021! on: July 12, 2021, 04:46:44 PM
After I saw what England fans were doing after final, I'm even more happy that Italy won final. Their fans is one of main reasons why England get so much hate. These retards attacked Italy fans after final:
https://twitter.com/melvinnasasira/status/1414364972566601731?
Many idiots started posting racial slurs on Instagram profiles of players who missed penalties. Disgraceful.

I don't think the video shows what you are trying to say. As far as I have seen from other sources, it was about the people who tried to get into the stadium without tickets. The scene happened before kickoff, so it has nothing to do with disappointed England fans.
One should always be very skeptical of such videos if one does not know exactly from which source they come.
1265  Local / Deutsch (German) / Re: Bitcointalk Tippspiel 'EURO 2020 ' sponsored by Bitcasino.io! on: July 12, 2021, 03:21:57 PM
Hallo zusammen,

1266  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA EURO 2020 Discussion Thread | Current Phase: Finals in June 2021! on: July 11, 2021, 10:27:17 AM
A few friends from Scotland and Australia are sending their real photos of houses and suburbs where there is only one flag catching the wind: that is the Italian flag. England is not really loved outside their country it seems as these memes are showing.

I wouldn't generalize, but I myself experience that in my environment no one is in favor of England. Not because England is England, but because they simply don't deserve it. Italy played the better football in this tournament, beat the harder opponents and didn't stand out for multiple unfairness (bad crowd behavior, whistles during the national anthems at every game as hosts, Sterling's swallow, laser point attack etc). If England had not been in the easy half of the tournament tree, they would not have made it to the final at all.
1267  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Profile correct details? on: July 11, 2021, 10:21:13 AM
To make the answer to your questions short:
You are completely free to provide this information or not. You can theoretically even enter any fun or fake data. I have already seen that with some users here. If you don't fill in the data, it won't have any disadvantages for you.
1268  Economy / Economics / Re: Understanding marketcaps and valuations on: July 11, 2021, 10:19:11 AM
The owner manage to get a deal selling 5% of the company for 50M USD. The valuation of the full company at this point, since there is only one deal, is set at 5% for 50M, thus 100% (all the company) is valued at 1 Billion. That´s it, it is "an unicorn".

You have probably noticed that this is not fully true. This means that someone has effectively valued the company at 1B and paid a 5% of the share at that price, but this does not mean that anyone would be ready to pay 1B for it or that other people would offer the same valuation.

You've successfully identified that you can kick the market cap numbers to the curb for most projects. Exactly for the reason that the quantity in circulation is sometimes extremely scarce, which leads to such high valuations. Even with Bitcoin, the market cap also includes coins that no one actually has access to anymore or that are no longer available. Various analyses assume that up to 1/3 of the existing Bitcoins have been lost and should therefore no longer be included in the market cap, even though they are theoretically still there.
1269  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How much did you earn from airdrop? on: July 11, 2021, 10:13:05 AM
Do these two have a chance? Grin

I have written this a few times in other threads. Airdrops are 99% not worth it nowadays. The days are gone when you could easily earn several thousand dollars a week with airdrops if you sold in time. Today most airdrops are just fake and the few really good ones set high requirements for participation or happen without notice, like Uniswap where only users got tokens who had made a transfer on Uniswap the last months. This was not announced, so many were surprised when they suddenly had tokens worth $1-2k in their wallet.
1270  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you invest in Cosmos (ATOM)? on: July 11, 2021, 10:07:34 AM
I've been looking at this coin for a long time
http://cosmos.network/
https://messari.io/asset/cosmos
This is one of the ecosystems that will compete with Ethereum and Polcadot.
The price of the coin is not the best for purchases, but I plan to start investing at a price of less than $

Admittedly, I have little idea about Cosmos. I have not been very involved with the project so far and I am not invested. But I also wanted to invest in projects that can compete with Ethereum. During my research, I came across Solana and Waves and invested in both around a year ago. Both have developed extremely well in recent months. Much better than Bitcoin and Ethereum. Maybe these projects would be worth a look for you.
1271  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: After China, Now it's Mexico's Turn to Ban Crypto on: July 09, 2021, 04:23:51 PM
I'm getting bored, why the hell same thing happens every time when market start growing. I'm expecting good days for cryptocurrency market are waiting. No matter what, crypto market moving forward and replace back dated decisions made by different government.

It's usually the case that when crypto is the talk of the town, regulators and governments start cracking down on crypto. You rarely read such actions in bear markets, but always in bull markets. It's a striking pattern if you look at the last five to six years.
1272  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will people who ban Bitcoin in some countries give up Bitcoin? on: July 08, 2021, 11:12:52 AM
There are no studies, but in recent years there have been repeated bans on cryptocurrencies in some countries and you could not see that there was less trading in crypto. Partly the opposite was the case, as countries mostly introduced such bans to avoid capital flight and not to weaken their own national currency. In China, for example, this led to even more crypto being bought.
1273  Economy / Economics / Re: The first rule of investing is saving on: July 08, 2021, 10:54:50 AM
"you can invest your savings. If you ain´t got any, you ain´t gonna invest". (I admit you could argue that you can borrow but still nobody ain´t lending ya if you ain´t gonna givvet baksh).

Borrowing for investing is usually a bad decision.

Normally yes! But not in times where you hardly have to pay interest for borrowing money. Suppose you borrow money for less than 1% per year. The stock market has brought an average return of 7-8% in the last years (blue chips). After taxes and interest, that would be about 5% profit. Of course you have a certain risk, but you always have that when investing, even with equity.
But I would not invest borrowed money in crypto as the risk is much much higher.
1274  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Did Twitch secretly end payments with Bitcoin? on: July 08, 2021, 10:50:02 AM
No surprise there. It takes a lot of resources and funds to make a particular form of payment available.

Nope, payment was processed by Bitpay. Therefore, it's not a big deal for Twitch. They have nothing to do with crypto-payments processing at all. Besides, Twitch offers nine different payment options (at least in my country), some of which are likely to be even more complicated than crypto. So that's certainly not the reason.

I was looking for an answer and so there you go. Paying BTC would be great but in these times where btc transaction fees are high then definitely before you send your payments you need to pay a lot or even making it double than the usual payment options due to bitcoin high transaction fees.

You could recently pay not only in BTC, but also in six other currencies including BCH. After the fees for BTC increased so much, I just made the payments in BCH and paid around $0.1-0.15 fees what is acceptable.
1275  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA EURO 2020 Discussion Thread | Current Phase: Finals in June 2021! on: July 08, 2021, 10:39:32 AM
The second half was not interesting... The English were lucky in extra time to be allowed to kick a very controversial penalty!Especially as there were two balls on the field when Sterling went down! Hopefully in the final, in England, Italy will punish them properly!

Yes, there were three things that were funny about that penalty and why it shouldn't have counted. First, it wasn't a foul, second, as you wrote, there was a second ball on the field so the referee should have blown his whistle before Sterling even got into the box. And third, there was a vice pointer attack on the goalie Schmeichel during the penalty. The English seem to want to steal the long-awaited title by any means. It's like on their first and only title 1966, when they became world champion at home(!) with a goal which was not a goal.

Lt. Artikel:
Quote
The exchange said the coins fell short of internal guidelines on technical competence and global liquidity.

1277  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: July 07, 2021, 10:37:59 AM
If big clubs hesitate to pay more than $100 M for Haaland, Dortmund will keep him for one more season. The world can have a big crisis after the pandemic and it can occur next year, next 3 years, I don't know. Dortmund have to sell Haaland before the crisis.

They have good financial health but their strategy is find talented youth players, buy low, grow up and sell high.

I don't think that any big club would like to hesitate to pay that much. I think that they would like at least $150m for Haaland. He is one of the very special players in the end. If you have Haaland at your team, you start the game 1-0 ahead. I wonder which club would be the closest to buy him. There has been rumours like Chelsea are still very interested in him. I assume that he would really like to go to a champion team.

Normally, such sums would be paid for such a great and effective young striker as Haaland, if there would not have been such a crisis and the resulting loss of income for all clubs. With Dortmund keeping him for at least one more season, the situation may look better again next year for many top clubs and then a Premier League club or a Sheikh club will put $100+ million on the table. I don't think that's out of the question, especially if he plays another season like the last one.
1278  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA EURO 2020 Discussion Thread | Current Phase: Finals in June 2021! on: July 07, 2021, 10:33:06 AM
Although Spain is failed to reach the Final, but I can say that their performance against Italy is their best performance in this tournament. I did not expect that they can play that well till the extra time. I predicted that Italy will win the game in normal time but I was wrong, perhaps I was underestimating the young squad of Spain. Too bad, the one who scored in normal time (Morata) was failed to do his task well in penalty shoot out. Both team deserves to be in Final but of course only one to go further. Thumbs up for both teams.

Yes, last night's Spain performance was completely different from their previous performances. They seem more cohesive with more dominant ball possession. But Italy was able to overcome them even though they had to go through a penalty shootout. Morata will surely regret last night's failure.
Despite having dominant ball possession Spain out of the game. Spain truly missed such a large number of goal scoring opportunities tonight. Spain performance was beyond my expectation, they really performed so well. Italy scored first and the better prepared team proceeded. Italians always gets the job done.

Oyarzabal alone had three great chances to score and missed. Spain was the better team yesterday, but Italy was smarter and more composed, especially then in the penalty shootout. But it's usually the case that if you don't take your good chances, you end up losing everything unhappily. That's a pattern that happens in football again and again, strangely enough. I would have liked to see a Spain vs Denmark final, but it will probably be Italy vs England now.
1279  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What if influential people buy Bitcoin back and forth? on: July 07, 2021, 10:28:37 AM
If many influential/giant whales post messages expressing support for Bitcoin, or expressing that they have purchased Bitcoin, will they promote market changes? If they enter the cryptocurrency field back and forth, whether cryptocurrency is not considered free and easy The market is over, and everyone is following the whale operation. Although the market needs volatility, is this kind of random volatility still meaningful?

No, it has always been the case that more influential people have tried to manipulate prices in their direction. Before Elon Musk got really interested in crypto and caused some pumps and dumps, McAfee, for example, was very strong in this kind of game (or rather manipulation).

Even if they can move the prices it's not like all the traders just wait for a reaction from them and then go in the same direction. It may work like that for a while, but after a while the influence wears off.
1280  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What are the reasons for entering the crypto market? on: July 06, 2021, 01:07:17 PM
As a newbie in cryptocurrency, I first learned about cryptocurrency and wanted to start investing,The reason was that I couldn't go out during the covid-19. I happened to see cryptocurrency news on the website. I started to be shocked by their earnings. I started to invest in Bitcoin and other altcoins with my free funds. I want to ask you when and why did you start investing in cryptocurrencies?

I dove into the crypto scene in 2011. Out of idealism, not to get rich. That's a major difference from many who dive into the scene today. They want to get rich quick without having any knowledge at all about the goals and workings of the technology. By the way, this is also the reason why so many end up making a loss. They buy when they hear about it in the news. But then it is usually already too late and the peak is already reached or is about to be reached.
