761  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Tyson Fury vs Oleksandr Usyk - December or January in Saudi Arabia on: October 31, 2023, 03:30:30 PM
News circulated about Usyk healing from his injuries and needing 14 weeks for his full training camp. And then Fury's camp said they will sue Usyk if he won't fight on December 23? And then before the Fury-Ngannou fight Usyk said that he would be ready by December 23 then. And now it is Fury's camp that does not want a December 23rd date? What a shame!

Krassyuk revealed that they actually set up a training camp in Spain. This is the second time that Fury refuses to fight Usyk upon knowing that the Ukrainian already started training. Fury just wanted to fight an injured and a less-prepared version of Usyk. Maybe they just sue Fury if he won't fight on December 23 because this might not really happen.
762  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tyson Fury vs Francis Ngannou Boxing October 28 on: October 28, 2023, 02:26:05 PM
I'm curious about the odds for the KO by Fury in this fight. Were they at 1.80 or higher?

Of course, the betting sites' analysts know the real score. Unlike some people and media that can hype and cheap talk knowing they aren't risking huge amounts of money. This is why the betting sites for me are the most reliable when it comes to sports analysis.

1.80 for Fury by KO? Jeez, mate! That's too high. I even wonder if Ngannou has the gas and survives throwing 300 punches in a punching bag for 30 minutes.

Fury ML at 1.05 is too safe since Ngannou will obviously tire. The fight not going the distance is at 1.11 but it is obvious who's not going the distance. Fury by KO/TKO is 1.18 which is the most profitable.

Ngannou has the puncher's chance though and I am hoping for that one. Cheesy

DAZN has a championship event on the same date. Defending champion O'Shaquie Foster's skills will be tested as he battles KO artist, Eduardo Hernandez who has a 28-KO/TKO streak in his wins.
763  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Not a casual fan but want to participate in sportsbetting on: October 28, 2023, 01:16:22 PM
If you want to enter sports betting then make sure it is your favorite sport. If you are an avid fan of the NBA then it won't be hard for you to follow the teams and players unless you are very busy with your life that you do not have enough time to do extra research. It is hard to win bets if you are just rooting for luck. But you can place very small bets to satisfy your sports betting craving.

At the moment, I cannot watch many games in a day unlike before. Aside from selecting only the games I like to watch which also depends on my availability, I always take a look at the daily results and NBA standing. This way I am familiar with all the 30 teams in general. If we only have limited time then we can focus on 1 or 2 or more teams.

Before starting my bets, I do some simple tasks;
1. I have to know who's home and on the road. I forgot the figures but home teams have a higher winning percentage unless it is a rebuilding team against a playoff team.

2. I have to know if any of the teams played yesterday because it is a big disadvantage especially if they traveled. Be familiar with the map of the US and Toronto which is in Canada. It takes more or less 5 hours by plane from the east coast to the west coast not including the land travel by team bus.

3. Check also if any of the teams are having a winning or losing streaks. Because at times momentum matters too.

4. And last, check the injury reports.
764  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Maybe I should have taken this risk earlier. on: October 28, 2023, 12:41:11 PM
The problem OP is you do not own the money in the bank. You have no right to touch it except for the purpose of your education. Indeed you need to have a proper education in order to learn and understand the proper ways of managing finances. In your situation, you are thinking about gambling and not investing. You're still young, finish your studies since the world has a lot of opportunities for you once you are done with your schooling.

Sooner or later you will understand the world of investing. Bitcoin is a high-risk reward investment which is why you need to invest only what you can afford to lose. You don't borrow money in order to invest in bitcoin. And you don't borrow money if you have no work or business, otherwise, you cannot pay it back.
765  Economy / Economics / Re: Is the need to be known a requirement to qualify for a loan(s)? on: October 28, 2023, 12:21:09 PM
Yes, you need to be known. Here in this forum, you can take loans without collaterals but you have to be known or have a decent reputation at least. The requirements depend on who you are dealing with. The higher and stricter the requirements the lesser the interest. Lendings and other apps may provide easier access but their interests are high. The lowest loan interest providers are the banks, but you need their presence at their office or you need to have a stable account with them so you can avail of their loan.

So yes it is necessary to be known to take a loan obviously. It's plain and simple, put yourself in a situation as the owner of a lending company or a bank, are you giving loans to those that aren't known? Unless they have legit and verifiable collateral to cover the loans.
766  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: October 28, 2023, 11:56:30 AM
The OKC Thunder remained unbeaten at 2-0 after dispatching Donovan Mitchell and his gang. I am feeling the potential of this young team led by Shai Gilgeous Alexander. I noticed SGA during the FIBA how careful he was with his shots, especially during crucial times. Now he is averaging 30 plus points and is above 50% on his field goals.

All are talking about Wemby these days and I heard his NBA debut garnered high television ratings with millions of viewers. Meanwhile, Chet Holmgren is doing his thing in OKC well even if he is not the main man. Earlier against the Cavs, he made 7 huge blacks as his team won big in a close entertaining game.
767  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you think if you have a lot of money its hard to satisfy your ego in gambling on: October 28, 2023, 11:05:14 AM
I believe that moderate gambling means risking money we can only afford to lose. Take for instance Drake, he has an estimated net worth of $250 million, so betting a million or hundreds of thousands of dollars on several occasions is just fine. I also saw some millionaire celebrities showing their bettings on Twitter and they were in thousands of dollars like $50k. Responsible gambling is not about the amount but the percentage of what we have or the liquid assets.

My bets depends on my financial status. If I have a lot of money then I will also increase my regular bets. There's a lot of good stuff to do in life when you have money so I don't think I will have a hard time satisfying my gambling ego when I become rich.
768  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: October 27, 2023, 03:59:58 PM
Harden won't be back, I am sure of that and I agree with what Sir Charles said, 76ers management will be forced to take a bad deal just to let him go.
But here comes a problem for him.
Quote
The league, which strengthened its rules about resting healthy players this summer, is investigating the reasons behind Harden’s absence from the 76ers’ nationally televised season opener against the Bucks.

“We’re looking into the facts around James Harden’s availability tonight to determine whether an approved reason exists for his lack of participation,” NBA spokesman Mike Bass said in a statement.
https://www.nba.com/news/nba-looking-into-james-harden-absence

I'm pretty sure the 76ers were well aware that this situation was going to happen. It's puzzling why Harden hasn't been traded yet, especially when the season has already started. They should have made the trade before the season began to allow for better chemistry among the players involved in the Harden trade.

Although they put up a good fight in their game against the Bucks, it's evident that they were undermanned, and they ended up losing the game. The longer they keep Harden on the team, even if he's not playing, the more challenges they'll face in each game. It's high time they make a wise decision, even if it feels a bit late.

It would've been better for the 76ers if they dealt Harden during the summer so they could fully focus at the start of the season. But the 76ers decided to stall Harden thinking it could get better deals than the current offers. Hopefully, Harden will be traded in the next few weeks.

Nonetheless, Philly played well with its current available roster. Although they lost, newly acquired Kelly Oubre surprised everyone with a solid debut off the bench. While in the winning team, Damian Lillard went hot in his Bucks' debut scoring 39 points.
769  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Inoue vs Tapales for Unified Super Bantamweight Title - December 26 on: October 27, 2023, 03:24:53 PM
Tapales seems to be taking this seriously; he's already been training, even though there are still 2 months before the fight. Will he be training for a total of 3 to 4 months? I understand his eagerness to win, but I hope he doesn't overstrain himself.

He need to train very seriously as this is the biggest fight of his training. As we have been saying, he shouldn't live an stone unturn in this fight. He need to be ready at 100% capacity and be motivated both mentally and physically. Usually fighters train for 8 -12 weeks and then be at peak during the fight night. I think Marlon is good and will not be overtrain.

Tapales went to the US in late August in order to train. So it's 4 months in total until December 26 which is too much for the body. But I am pretty sure his team knows it, they are probably taking some breaks and are only training lightly. Although Tapales already had a lot of sparring sessions with Ancajas and Magsayo. It could be that the plan to transfer to the mountainous Baguio, Philippines is the start of the serious training camp.

Meanwhile, according to veteran writer Joe Koizumi, Inoue's plan is to move up in weight by 2025. If all goes well, he aims to defend his undisputed championship 3 times next year mentioning the names of Nery, Casimero, and Akhmadaliev.

770  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cockfighting? on: October 27, 2023, 03:02:30 PM
Got some friends who are actively participating with cockfighting, they love following those patrons both in a legal way and those who are doing it underground, there's additional excitement according to them when you know that any moment something might happen and you need to be fast in terms of running and good in finding alternative ways to escape from the authorities in case the place got raided.

Lol! That's crazy. But during the pandemic where cockfighting was temporarily banned I had my first experiences. My friend's family had a huge backyard and that is where the cockfighting happened. It was my first time seeing cocks wearing their blades fighting. And it was also my first time betting on cockfights while drinking liquor.

But it never came to my mind of a possible police raid. Another friend of mine usually sponsors cockfighting in his place during the pandemic. There was a time they were raided by the police but he was so quick that by the time the police arrived, he was already in his house overlooking the area through the window. When he saw that an old man was the only one who got caught, he went to the police precinct and paid the fines for the release. Cheesy
771  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: October 27, 2023, 02:30:56 PM
And if I'm not mistaken, one of the best boxer that came from Venezuela is Edwin Valero, it could have been great to see him fight Manny Pacquiao during their primes but Edwin was a enigma and it's sad how his career and life ended.

It would've been lit to see them fought at 130 or 135. There were really a lot of notable fighters that Pacman wasn't able to fight at 130-135 due to the Top Rank - Golden Boy war. At that time GBP had more popular fighters than TR. But it was also a blessing in disguise because Pacman would've spent years at 130 and 135 facing the likes of Valero, Joan Guzman, Joel Casamayor, Michael Katsidis, Juan Diaz, Jorge Barrios, and many more. Pacman would've not reached 147 and 154

I took a pass in this fight last weekend. I find Catterall a boring fighter and he was cherry-picking a very old former 3 division champion. Catterall needs an impressive win in order to make trends in the division once again since Taylor already lost and is moving up in weight. But maybe he could get an offer from any of the current champions which I believe he still deserves.

As for Linares, I am glad he announced his retirement. He could've taken an easy fight and then retired for good. He's got great memories in his career. His journey was very inspiring. Venezuelan boxing has less support and sponsorships, the reason it is hard to become a champion or a long-time champion. Luckily for Linares, he started his career in Japan and was signed by Teiken Promotions. With Linares, Chocolatito Gonzales, and Edwin Valero, at the same time, those were the golden days of Teiken having developed foreigners into stardom.

Well not an interesting match but it's worth the watch because we didn't have any other fights for boxing back then sure Jack Catterall has the speed and George Linares doesn't have the speed anymore so for sure against a younger fighter you can see the speed difference and so Catterall has won on the output,

I also want to see George Linares take on an easy fight and then retire, because after showcasing what he can do against Jack Catterall for sure many fans will agree that this is due to his age, Father time is really getting into him,

I was late to notice GBP's card last weekend. By the time I tuned in it was already done. Alexis Rocha is an exciting fighter but he can't hurt his undefeated opponent Giovanni Santillan whose punishing lethal shots proved too much. It was a better match-up than Matchroom's Catterall-Linares.

It would've been nice if Linares made a farewell fight against an easier opponent in Japan where he started his pro career or in his native Venezuela. Linares already lost 4 straight fights. Fights that he was supposed to win if he was in his prime including Haney.
772  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Tyson Fury vs Oleksandr Usyk - December or January in Saudi Arabia on: October 25, 2023, 01:28:44 PM

And yes, I don't see Francis putting up a massive upset on Tyson here. It's good that we see promotions in this fight. But it will take Francis to be lucky to hit Tyson and knock him out for good. That is the only way he can win this fight, with a knockout. But Tyson Fury is also a defensive boxer so I doubt that Francis can land his signature power punch just like he did in UFC.
I don't rule out an upset, upset can happen to any boxer even the greatest boxers suffered an upset, I'm comfortable that Fury will win because he has a huge advantage in terms of power and ring generalship but if he relaxes and takes Ngannou for granted he can be hit by a phantom punch or a lucky punch.
Only 5 days to go and the excitement is going I'm sure the weigh-in and the fight will be a big hit.

Still Fury for me. There's a lot of hype around Francis now, but we know who the real deal is. This is boxing, and Fury is the king here. If Fury gets challenged in this fight, it could serve as a good tune-up match for him before the unification fight against Oleksandr Usyk.

It would also be advantageous for Usyk if the fight happens next year, giving him time to heal from any injuries, so that if he were to lose, he wouldn't have any excuses to fall back on.

Maybe the best question here is what round Fury obliterates Ngannou. And by the way, Usyk is the king, 4 belts to 1 and he owns the Ring belt. Cheesy

If Usyk is injured then he should not allow a December 23 date. It's really crazy to see big fights when someone is already injured before the bell rings. It's like last weekend when Volk and Usman were late substitutes where they lost. No matter how they say there were no excuses, any hardcore fans cannot rule out in their minds that they were not at their best during those fights. So hopefully Usyk can set aside his machismo because it's not cool. And for sure Big Belly would love to fight someone injured and with less training time.
773  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🕹️ Esports 🎮 Prediction & Discussion Thread on: October 25, 2023, 01:08:19 PM
Team spirit is a strong contender for this years TI on winning that aegis but i do agree with BB team which they do really have that potential too if they could straight up in LB but dont forget that in LB there's GG,VP and nouns which we know that these teams arent something that simple to be beaten up too plus into those UB  losers would be going down then it would really be an easy path to take.
Totally that interesting for this year TI even though the prize pool isnt that big but still that interesting to watch as always.

The thing i dont like for this years TI is the large gap of days in between phase on which they are really that lasting 4-5 days which it do really remove that kind of thrill
and hype because of that long wait but well there's nothing they can do since they do manage it out this way.
Although Team Spirit doesn't have many games left to raise the aegis over his head for the second time, this path will not be easy, he will not be given away just like that, the battles will be tough. In addition, other teams should have preparations at the hero peak stage, this is another chance to break the TS, although it seems that this is almost impossible. Therefore, I expect to see unusual heroes.

The players also don’t like such large gaps between game days, not only the spectators, but Valve doesn’t care much about it, they ignored it as usual. I still found a small plus in this, I watch the matches that I liked the most for the second time, this helps a little to maintain the amazing mood from the TI.

Normally I also do not like the large number of days in break. The players and teams have ample time to study and practice but some of them might have lost their focus and adrenaline in their bodies. Momentums will be stopped including the fans' urge and excitement. The only thing that made me somewhat good during this long break were my bets' losing streak. Cheesy

Meanwhile, my only remaining bet is on Team Spirit ML over Liquid. Planning to put some bets on GG and BetBoom as well. Betboom against VP, it will be another anticipated match and both teams are capable of winning.
774  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cockfighting? on: October 25, 2023, 12:46:06 PM

Nonetheless, it should be banned worldwide. @2Pizza410000BTC, a lot of government officials are into cockfighting in the Philippines. Cockpit arenas starting from small municipalities to big cities are duly registered.
It's just to sayu that this bloodthirsty entertainment should be banned.  However, there are many countries where this is a very profitable business that is in demand by the population.  And it can even be regarded as a sport.  For example, in Madagascar, the cost of a good rooster, trained by a specialist to participate in cockfighting, can even reach $500.  And this despite the fact that the standard of living in this country is very low.  For many residents this is a huge amount.
And even if the government begins to ban cockfighting, and this is a centuries-old tradition, cockfighting will still not stop, but will simply begin to be held secretly behind closed doors.
So it's almost impossible to ban it.

That is really true, there are a lot of so-called specialists and professionals in cockfighting and they're paid a lot. Here cocks from ordinary people range from $20 to the rich's cocks worth thousands of dollars. The Philippines is not a rich country as well and there are a lot of poor people. At least the sport is already banned in Madagascar while in the Philippines it is still very much alive and kicking with so many government officials involved. Maybe it would take time before the ban takes a lasting effect. However, the implementation should be done thoroughly as well. I remember during the pandemic when gatherings weren't allowed and cockfighting was suspended but there were still a lot of secret cockfighting all over the country. And it was also the first time I watched live and bet since I have a friend who owned a big space in their backyard.
775  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: October 25, 2023, 12:26:16 PM
It's still too early, I'm sure other teams are already making strategies to beat the Nuggets. The thing is, it's not just Jokic doing all the heavy lifting anymore. If they can somehow contain him, his buddies are ready to step up and make things happen.

I mean, look at this game, it's not just a one-man show. All the starters are hitting double digits, and even the bench players are chipping in. That's some impressive production right there.

1-Jokic 29
2- Gordon - 15
3- Porter Jr. - 12
4 - K. Caldwell-Pope - 20
5- Murray -21
Although it can be said that this is just the start of the season but every beginning is where the motivation comes from and with this start from the Nuggets. I am sure that many teams are learning to beat them.

They're still the best contender to be prepared for by every team on the NBA. Those stats and performance that they've just shown is amazing.

While some probably are thinking about focusing on stopping Jokic but with these stats, this is telling them that they're also part of the team and they shouldn't be ignored.

This happens when the main player is more of a team player rather than focusing on his own offense. The Nuggets had a well-balanced game earlier. They shot 52.7% from the field and made 41.2% of their threes. And while it is a difficult task already to stop Jokic, he's surrounded by deadly shooters who are also capable of leading the team in offense.

Nice games and results today. After having bad weeks on my DOTA 2 betting, I finally had a great start on my NBA bets. A lot of games tomorrow. I'll be keeping an eye on the most exciting ones. We have the chance to see the new Boston Celtics as they visit the Knicks at MSG. Marcus Smart will start in Memphis as Ja Morant is still serving his suspension and it will be very interesting when they face the Pelicans where Zion is back. Wembanyama has been making headlines for a while now so most fans won't miss his first regular season game as they host Luka Doncic and the Mavericks.

When I play strategic games like Mobile Legends I do not want any unnecessary noise because it distracts me. I guess most people when using their brain do not want distractions as well. But there are other people who have weird ways, I remember during college, I had a friend who loved to study while having music at the same time.
777  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why do you not gamble on women sports? (tennis not included) on: October 25, 2023, 11:48:19 AM
It feels like OP is new to sports betting. This is common sense IMO. I think the better question is why are women's sports not as popular as men's? Because why would people bet on a sport that they are not following? I bet regularly on e-sports, basketball, boxing, and MMA. But I haven't made a single bet throughout my life on women's basketball because I am not familiar with its players. And I am not familiar with women's basketball because I am not interested.

There are sports where I am more excited watching women though, like tennis and volleyball. Women's boxing and MMA are as exciting as men's depending on their individual fighting styles. So it really depends on someone's interest. Generally, men's sports are more popular than women's sports. But I believe women's sports are growing since more countries and people are more aware of gender equality.

If we talk about how the audiences of fans of women’s sports, men’s sports and betting intersect, then we must mention that the majority of bettors are men. This is an additional factor to betting mainly on men's sports. By the way, I would be interested to know the statistics regarding female bettors - what competitions they prefer, both by type of sport and by gender.

My bad, I noticed this late. You have a point, men mostly watch men's sports which matters when they bet.

You also made me curious about the statistics so I did a little search. Here's some interesting stats I found;
- 64% of gamblers are men while only 36% (7.5% increase since 2015) are women.
- 46% of men into gambling love the more strategic sports betting while almost 50% of the women prefer the more entertaining casino games.
- 46% of men and 42% of women were influenced by gambling ads.
- Gambling posts on social media influenced 56% of women.

Magandang plan yan OP. Same rin ang sagot ko if meron akong family kaso wala pa so all-in muna sa crypto then I will decide what's next sa 2025 or early 2026.

With regards to educational plan which is usually nilalagay lang naman ng mga fund managers sa stocks or maybe yung iba sa bonds and other assets na meron long term potentials. So why not just do it yourself? Libre naman mag open sa mga stock brokers at wala pang requirement na need magdeposit regularly.
779  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Tyson Fury vs Oleksandr Usyk - December or January in Saudi Arabia on: October 25, 2023, 10:45:38 AM
Francis will be like a sparring session for Fury, sort of a training but Fury should be worrying whether he could really fight after just 2-4 months.

https://www.boxingscene.com/usyk-on-injuries-ahead-fury-showdown-i-t-say-everything-ok-everythings-under-control--178633

Usyk having an injury for which he needed 14 weeks to train is like a fight between Usyk and Fury written on the flowing waters. And him talking about injuries with no exact date or location yet. Something tells me it won't happen.

Maybe the Big Belly vs Ngannou fight is scripted? However, even without a script, it is still hard to imagine a 37-year-old who has been inactive for nearly 2 years beating a boxing champion in his debut. So Tyson Fury should be fine. My guess earlier is the fight with Usyk should happen before Christmas and New Year's or the fight will be moved to early March onwards.

The expected date is December 23. If Usyk has an injury he rather demand a later date or he will regret losing to Fury with an injury. Just like when his friend Loma lost a close fight to Teofimo Lopez and was only operated after the fight.

There's also a statement from Fury's camp that Usyk can file a case if he won't fight on December 23. It seems like the contract is signed but without a date and Big Belly is the one to decide it. I won't be surprised though if he tries to exploit Usyk again like giving a short notice to shorten the regular training camp.

Jack Catterall vs Jorge Linares, no knockdown happen, Jack did his best to score but Linares has avoided that knockout. So it's pretty much a chess game all throughout but Jack is clearly winning on points as his left hand always finds it's target.

So the score is all in favour of Catterall: 117-111, and 116-112.

We were expecting that Josh Taylor will give Catterall his chance for a rematch as a domestic rival. But we all know that Taylor chooses to fight Teo Lopez and he was dominated and lost his belt. So there's no more hype of a Catterall and Taylor rematch.

Here are the highlight of the fight, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fDt17FsjfW4

He fought at old Linares, so it should be an easy fight for him. However, Linares didn't make it easy for Jack, although Catterall has the power with this left hand, (not surprised that he should have won against Josh Taylor back then, and why Taylor didn't give him a rematch). But Linares seems to be in the best shape of his life that's why he was able to stand up until the 12 rounds.

So let's give props to the old champ, but with this performance, he should retire for good. He was a good 2x champ back in the days, knock down Loma during their fight, wobbled Haney. But now he is no longer in his prime and time to hang up that gloves.

As for Catterall, Teo Lopez could be a good fight for him next, for a title fight in the US.

I took a pass in this fight last weekend. I find Catterall a boring fighter and he was cherry-picking a very old former 3 division champion. Catterall needs an impressive win in order to make trends in the division once again since Taylor already lost and is moving up in weight.
