901  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How late is too late to place a bet for a gambler? on: September 12, 2023, 08:38:11 PM
So many leagues and tournaments across the world have resumed preliminary matches of the season, as well as bookies and online bet platforms have rolled up their sleeves in response, to provide the best odds and bet options for its customers.

For so many reasons a bettor or gambler might make a late last minute decision that can either make them win big or lose big or prevent them from losing much bet on games they have played.

In order not to over stretch this topic, I just want us to dialogue candidly on your personal experience as to the one time you were so late in making a bet, but had to do it anyways.
Did that last minute bet make you win or you lost more and regretted the decision?

How late is too late to place a bet or make a wager in both online and offline games and matches?

Are there also good online platforms or betting sites that have good last minute betting options for matches/games?

I find that last minute bets are never worth it. In fact, anything which presses on you because of time shortage, is not something that will help you. Rushing into things without a plan, just because something or somebody is pushing you, is in fact nothing but a recipe for disaster. From my experience it always ends up bad and you end up feeling regretful for having made such a rash betting decision.

Although not having the funds is a completely different issue. I have never had the experience of not having enough betting funds while the time is running out, minute by minute. In such a case, you might make a last minute bet, if your funds arrive on time. (No damage done, as long as you were not hurried to decide on your betting decisions)
902  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How Do You Manage Your Adrenaline Rush In Gambling? on: September 12, 2023, 07:24:15 PM
I do not believe that it is possible to actually control such things as adrenaline, as they are part of the human experience and therefore exist in us, whether we like that fact or not. The only thing we can control is how we react in times in which we get that amazing rush of adrenaline when losing or even winning.

But then again, I doubt anyone here has the discipline and patience of a Tibetan monk.

Although even a monk ia human and has his own limits.
903  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: do anyone have done this? with gambling platforms on: September 12, 2023, 06:16:23 PM
anyone deposited very less amount and luckily won a big jackpot like a 100x or 500x or 1000x of base bet and withdrawn without kyc or without facing any problem from the platform?

if yes, how much was that amount? and what was the casino?

i seen many people complaining about they don't give big wins easily or just don't give by making unanswerable queries like very hard KYC, freezing accounts, etc. this problem is very common with trusted casino's also/

do anyone withdrawn successfully the winning amount and if yes what was the process, it was seamless or you need to pass a hard kyc?

As far as I am personally aware, KYC does not influence the game probabilities. Although maybe there do exist casinos which offer better odds only for those who pass KYC or have Veteran/VIP accounts?

There might be certain rights which preferred players receive, but from my Experience, they usually have to do with bonuses and rewards.

However there has to be some regulation around that area, so I think the casinos have guidelines and laws that tell them what they are allowed to offer as rewards.
904  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling with entropy (Chaos) on: September 11, 2023, 08:03:42 PM
I love the spirit of experimentation, however, I think what is missing here is your logic, explained in more detail. Perhaps if you would show us your math then we could understand the strategy in more depth?

From what I understand, it's better to set up a blueprint of your experiment before you start working on it.

The images show a lot of data but I don't understand how it all connects or what it means.

I think If you have discovered a way to beat the system, it will take mere hours for the casinos to catch on and develop a way to block it.
905  Economy / Gambling / Re: Rollbit - be aware, i was lucky on: September 11, 2023, 06:57:05 PM
Hi. My friend CHATGPT help me out:

I wanted to share my experience as a Rollbit user. It appears that Rollbit somehow acquired my information, possibly from my previous involvement with Stake. As a Diamond-level player on stake, Rollbit unexpectedly awarded me 6k for free. This made me quite profitable since I hadn't deposited any of my own funds, and I managed to cash out between 50-80k in the past year.

However, my Rollbit account was recently disabled without any prior notice. Fortunately, I had already withdrawn my balance as a precaution. When I reached out to inquire about the reason behind the ban, I received only a brief response: "Banned permanently for abuse." They didn't offer any further explanation.

My activities on Rollbit mainly involved participating in their crash game and placing bets on various sports events. Occasionally, I made 1.01 bets in pursuit of their Level up bonus. If such bets were not allowed, it raises the question of why Rollbit offered those odds in the first place.

I'm not deeply attached to my Rollbit account, but it seems they may have grown weary of not seeing a return on the money they awarded me. In total, I received 14K in bonuses without ever depositing my "own" money.

My intention in sharing this story is to caution all of you to approach Rollbit  with caution. It's essential to be aware of the risks, especially when they involve receiving unexpected bonuses or promotions from them.  I hope none of you have to endure the disappointment of having your funds confiscated. Stay safe Smiley

It sounds like you may have done something which goes against the terms of service but lucky for you, you took out your money from that platform, into your own, personal wallet. Good job! I would not even go as far as to call that luck, but rather a smart decision not to hold crypto on a third party wallet. You would have definitely lost your money if you did.

Same goes for every wallet which is not your own(like exchange wallets). Not your keys, not your wallet.
906  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why gambling beginners must not joke with casino announcement on: September 10, 2023, 10:19:59 PM
A quick warning to all gambling beginners, the most attractive ways that scam gambling websites get to you is bonuses and undeniable offers, I can see some new online casinos coming up with attracting bonuses to make you deposit some money and gamble, while they still have no reputation build yet but the offers are too good to the eye that you want to try it out, be cautious.
~snip~

It makes amazingly good sense that one should thoroughly research ANY platform on which you put/give access to your monetary funds. This does not only go for online gambling casinos but also other platforms like crypto exchanges.

While it is unfortunately true that scammers find more and more clever ways to completely screw over strangers and their money, I think such scammers can be avoided by simply knowing where to research. Review sites are the worst and crawling with fake reviews- obviously this is not a surprise since that is basically the business model of review sites. Reviews=money.

But you have a smorgasbord of honest and real reviews and scam accusations against all the most popular crypto casinos on Bitcointalk. Don't go on gambling sites which have not been vetted here.
907  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Stake false tranaction not found on: September 08, 2023, 09:58:34 PM
When did you make the withdrawal?

According to what is one their website: https://www.esportsbets.com/guides/stake-com-how-to-withdraw

Withdraw should not take more than 30 minutes.

Let us hope the recent hack of over $40 million does not affect Stake.

I think that even if the recent hack somehow did affect Stake, they would try not to divulge the information of how badly the damage extends. If there was a technical error, then it should be easily proven and as a centralized service provider, Stake will have no choice but to refund OP's money or correct the mistake otherwise.

How long it will take the Stake support team to find out what happened and how to fix the situation, I cannot say. It could be hours, days, weeks or even months.

I doubt there is a law on how fast they have to process these things. Roll Eyes
908  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: DCA'ing isnt a bad strategy on: September 08, 2023, 09:54:34 PM
People are trying to figure out the best way to invest in cryptocurrency because it can be very unpredictable. If you're an investor looking to reduce your risk, you might consider a strategy called dollar-cost averaging (DCA). However, using this strategy means you're less likely to make really big profits.

Dollar-cost averaging means putting the same amount of money into an investment over time. It's nice because it makes investors feel more comfortable. By spreading out your Bitcoin purchases over time, you're either buying when it's doing well, or you're getting it at a lower price compared to your first purchase, which is a good thing.

Some people prefer to invest a large lump sum all at once because you might end up with more Bitcoin quickly. But there's also a chance you'll end up with less. To decide between these two methods, you need to think about the risk involved.

If you want a bigger chance of making a lot of money, go for the lump sum. If you want to slowly accumulate Bitcoin with the least risk (even if it means having less Bitcoin in the end), then DCA is better. For most regular people who just want to accumulate Bitcoin, DCA is a good choice because it helps you get a decent amount of Bitcoin based on the money you have to invest.

What is your opinion?
And and which method do you prefer to be used in this present market conditions?

I think that DCAing is indeed a good strategy, however it must be said that there are many DCA strategies. If you ask around, you will find out that everybody has a similar but sometimes completely different idea on how DCA should be done. So is there a perfect one strategy? that remains to be seen. But I do know that Bitcoin will keep going and going and because of this complete trust that I have in Bitcoin, I feel that every bought dip is also connected, whether long or short term, with a good percentage of profits. Or in other words, a good Return On Investment (ROI).
909  Economy / Economics / Re: How to developed your capital on: September 08, 2023, 06:56:52 PM
I took time to research and observed that 75% of youths their problem is inability to develop their capital in capital market, most at times we are bless with so much that one find it difficult to control your finances or resources. I notice it usually affects people do not work hard to earn but probably the gimics or scams that makes them to make this money easily but after a while you discovered the person down why?

Now we should try this simple steps in developing capital either in savings, capital market or investment it's all same principle....
1. Don't spend more than you earn it kills capital through lack of wisdom
2. Development an attitude of reserving "spend and save in quote"
3. Read books on financial market and its products
4. Learn to engaged in investment
5. Be curious about things and ask a lot of questions
6. Don't underrated any money with you, no matter how small it is...its always have value towards something
7. Admire other people success and think where you're going too.
8. Save, invest and take good care of your health.

I hope this is helpful?

I will try to understand this but a lot of your text contains grammatical errors which make it hard to understand. I am not sure what you mean by "it kills capital through the lack of wisdom" How exactly?

Anyway, hard to understand text aside, there is only one real way people can develop their capital efficiently. They have to go through a kind of education first. The lesson they need to learn can be learned the hard or the easy way. Either way, that education will be one that is taught by your own past mistakes or its something that you can teach yourself. Most people make mistakes and pay heavy prices for those mistakes in order to learn the hard lessons. Others have the vigilance to do self-research and learn for themselves.

Either way, both of those individuals will not repeat the same mistakes as in the past. And they learn where to invest and where not to invest.
910  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to Control Your Emotions and Win More Bets on: September 08, 2023, 06:44:27 PM
There is no "true" way or method which can control how many bets you win or do not win, because that is something which is completely and entirely up to the logical of our probabilistic world. In other words, you cannot influence probability, in its nature. What you can do, is cut away risks and have the discipline to stay grounded so that your emotions do not blind you to necessary risks.

So in a nutshell, you cannot increase your wins but you can certainly decreases your losses.

Its up to you how to deal with your money. Everyone has a choice.
911  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How does an online Foodbetting site sound? on: September 08, 2023, 05:59:33 PM

I know creativity has led to many breakthrough innovations we see today. Within the gambling world, we have seen many types; From bizarre kind of bet, to outrageous and well- horseracing bet, football/soccer bet, boxingbout/tournament bet, tennis match/tournament bet, basketball betting. Has anyone given a thought to foodbetting?
Customers joining the site to bet on their favorite foodie are expected to register as a member, just as is required in a normal bet site. They would place their bets on contestants who are expected to eat more or eat less quantity of various prepared food within a timed period/duration.

Trust me when I say I found this idea quite amusing at first, but I don't know of any initiative that has come up with a food betting website yet, except for this guy I found on Instagram who has made it NigeriaVsFood challenge.

Here's the link to the Instagram page.
https://www.instagram.com/reel/Cw1-LsjIfGP/?igshid=NjZiM2M3MzIxNA==

What other funny and real betting exist like this you know of?

Would you try it out if you had the chance and resources to?

What are your thoughts on the concept and initiative behind this idea.? Is it worth investing time and resources in?

Can we classify this betting on food eaters on who eats more or less within a time frame, as a sport?

While I absolutely love cooking and food as many people do, I would say that this is not worth investing in or researching further due to the problems that the entire concept brings to the table in the first place.

The problem that I would see manifest here is that gambling is something that should be done with probability based games and not anything else. Otherwise the entire game could be manipulated so that a fair game would become impossible. Like betting on chess games, even though the opponent could be using chess bots to cheat his or her way to victory.
912  Economy / Gambling / Re: Stake phishing on: September 08, 2023, 12:47:07 PM
BTC so been playing on stake for 3 years.
Last Sunday my balance went from 8 k to 10k I got phishing mail and I clicked thinking it was legit bonus as I was nearing level up.

I was phished and my funds were gambled on 3 bets.
I was surprised why hacker didn't cashout. May be 2FA.
Peace .

If you have proof of this, then I think the casino will refund you. But proving that you got phished might be difficult as in the eyes of the casino, you might just be looking for a refund after a bad streak. In the future you should use more secure practices to avoid falling for such dumb traps. I am not saying that phishing is an easy thing to look out for, but as long as you remain vigilant, maybe set up 2FA and don't hand out your main email for every little thing. And make sure your website address is always correct.

I hope you have better luck in the future!
913  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Jakarta is in a pollution emergency, Is it caused by crypto mining? on: September 07, 2023, 09:33:28 PM
Indonesia, especially Jakarta is in a pollution emergency, Many say that this is caused by steam power plants where the fuel is coal. And, sadly I heard also on my social media local that this pollution is also caused by crypto-mining, I debated and rejected it opinion because crypto-mining in Indonesia is not much like other countries where their air is still clean today.

So what do you though, is crypto mining become a big problem of pollution?

The problem is not the method of energy consumption nor the consuming electrical device itself. The problem is very clearly that the energy is generated using coal as fuel. This is very cheap and very energy-rich. Jakarta should be investing more money into other, cleaner ways to generate electrical power. Other countries have done so effectively. But I am guessing that Jakarta might not have the financial means to do this. Perhaps too much money is landing in the pockets of politicians instead?

914  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Let's Stabilize Bitcoin on: September 07, 2023, 08:27:11 PM
In order for Bitcoin to be widely used for payments, it is necessary to stabilize price fluctuations.

Question,
Bitcoin and other currencies A and Prepare B.
A and B are equivalent exchangeable and can also be equivalently exchanged for Bitcoin.

Is it possible to stabilize prices through market mechanisms due to this?

The price fluctuations are going to become more and more stable as Bitcoin is distributed more evenly and more people adopt Bitcoin as the new generation of money. And it will happen, because entire governments are trying to make their own Bitcoin, because they falsely believe that a government-created Bitcoin (in other words, a CBDC) will somehow beat the better and original version. But it won't.

In the meantime, we will have fluctuations. Do the smart thing and leave panic out of the equation while you hodl.

915  Economy / Economics / Re: CBDCs are created for unemployment purpose on: September 07, 2023, 06:48:22 PM
We can see how traditional banking has helped in creating employment. Many people are employed in the banks. The banks and their employees are paying taxes.

I read this today: CBDCs will gradually displace private banks, says Russian lawmaker

It is about a Russian lawmaker that believes CBDCs will gradually displace fiat and traditional banking.

Can this be what would later happen?

If you look at countries with no freedom you should understand how far the government will go to restrict your control on life. Why would they do anything different with CBDCs? They would not. If the people are not in charge then a small group of government is. This is why a CBDC must always be considered a potential tool of the government. Take a look at China, with their control over people, their money and their privacy. CBDC's are exactly the type of tool created to compliment such a tyranny.

In other words, if it sounds like a duck and looks like a duck then it is probably a duck.  Undecided
916  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: I will pass KYC later is a bad idea on: September 07, 2023, 06:25:28 PM
I don't know where some gamblers are getting their confidence from, do you know that online casinos can keep rejecting your ID after you made some high amount of money? Some people cares about winning first before passing KYC, it's cool you believe that you won't always win but the luck comes when we least expected.

Imagine winning and you find it hard to pass KYC, trapping your money on the casino for like ever.

It's not always the casinos fault, I know some are dubious but the thing is KYC verification is something you should first deal with before making your first deposit.

Online casinos can be frustrating at times, some casino won't accept your submitted document even when you haven't make any deposit on the platform yet, so always confirm your identity first.

Submit your identity and wait for approval, do not be in haste to make deposit first, because the identity you submitted without a green approval from the team can still be rejected, take your time to get the passed approval first before proceeding with gambling.

Yeah passing KYC before doing anything with your new casino account is always the smartest thing to do. That way they cannot later claim you to be a suspicious account and then take months to do the KYC procedure. Even though we know they are just stalling for time, sometimes due to a too high workload or because of incompetence. Either way it leaves the customer (gambler) unsatisfied and frustrated that his KYC procedure is taking so long.

Although, I am personally against KYC if one can avoid it by using a decentralized version of the platform. Although I have not heard of a truly decentralized gambling platform yet. Most "decentralized" casinos are merely claiming to be decentralized as a marketing tactic.

Hope to see you there!

Welcome to the Bitcointalk forum and the gambling section! I think you will find us to be very helpful and effective in your marketing campaigns but also very critical of any mistakes or bad jobs. Which is the reason why someone already mentioned the somewhat half-baked quality of your games in an above post. And I gotta say, that I do agree with them. The games and the website need to be a bit improved, but I think you will find that listening to the community will help you greatly with that.

Good luck with your casino and stay true!
918  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Government vs Bitcoin on: September 06, 2023, 10:28:02 PM
Governments frequently misunderstand bitcoin innovation.
This impression arises from the disproportionate bans and regulations they enact.
Although occasionally the bitcoin regulations appear unreasonable, I posit that bitcoin is not as detrimental as suggested. Please correct me if I am wrong.

The only kind of bans that the government feel like they can enforce on Bitcoin, are directed towards third party businessmen of the Bitcoin community. That's why they target CEX's (Centralized Exchanges). With a long enough stick, you do not need the carrot. Or in their case, they do not have a carrot. In other words the bans are so harsh and unfair because the government realizes that normal regulations do not work with a decentralized money that anyone can obtain in more than 1 way.

Bitcoin is the new age money and the government is still trying to struggle with leaving the old-age money behind. Mainly because they can print an infinite amount of fiat, whenever they want. And that is not possible with Bitcoin.
919  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Learning from those who have experience on: September 06, 2023, 08:24:13 PM
I want to ask those of you who have a hard addiction experience in gambling and then you can treat it yourself, and today still playing gambling but with the principle of good management and financial management in gambling.
I want to know how you break away from the addiction, you can mention the actions taken or what kind of steps? And how long do you need time to break away from the addiction that has been experienced?

"I want to find out because I think your experience in the case as I mentioned will be useful for readers, especially for me personally"

I do not necessarily think that one can step away from addiction, or at least not forever. Addiction is an intrinsic human experience and as much as we dislike it, unless we tread carefully around the traps of dopamine abuse, we can easily become addicted to whatever the source of the dopamine rush was. For some people the lure of addiction is much stronger than others, so for them, it is just best to avoid things like rewarding your own bad behavior with dopamine-releasing drugs or actions.

920  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Has your Responsible Gambling had any of these Effects on You? on: September 06, 2023, 06:58:41 PM
This is not a case of being addicted to gambling. There are people who are actually in control of their gambling habits or addiction.

I would like to think of myself as one such person, but the awful truth of me is that I do sometimes give in to temptations and I can forgive myself for those sudden bursts of emotion and error. I am only human, after all. And once you realize that you are only human, you forgive yourself for small mistakes.

However in order to avoid the big mistakes, one needs to learn discipline and a strict rule regiment. The most simple one is that you restrict your gambling by creating a capped daily gambling fund and stick to that limit. You therefore minimize your losses and do not go in any unnecessary risks, no matter how tempting they may be, in your eyes.
