961  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Nonito Donaire vs Alejandro Santiago for WBC bantamweight (july15,2023 on: July 22, 2023, 06:53:59 AM
Nonito's prediction that Fulton has a slight edge is a bit off. I don't know if he is telling the truth or still not convinced that Inoue is extremely good, as Inoue beat him twice, while Donaire has not even fought Fulton yet. What the public believes is what I believe will happen, so I'm all the way with Inoue here, regardless of how he'll beat Fulton, but I'd love to see a KO if possible.

Yes, it doesn't really make any sense at all because it will be more believable if he is saying otherwise because it was Inoue whom he faced twice and not Fulton. So, I don't really think that he's giving a concrete prediction about this fight, with what he is saying in public now, it seems that he got a grudge against Inoue because he didn't had any chance to defeat the Japanese boxer at all and even embarrassed him on their 2nd encounter.
Good point, as he didn't have that chance facing Fulton while he was beaten twice by Inoue,

Though it's just his own opinion and no one is being forced to follow or believe in him, I'm thinking that maybe he's using it for
publicity on this upcoming fight, but in the back of my mind he doesn't need it as the fight has been moved as an undercard with
the well anticipated meetup of Spence and Crawford, no offense to all the opinions but we will be able to conclude it once it
was done.
Agreed, he is entitled to his own opinion, maybe there is weight on it because he fought Inoue. But we are not sure if he is telling the truth or just because he wanted for Inoue to lose the fight because Naoya knock him out cold in 2 rounds.

So we might listen to their predictions and what not and analysis. But as bettor I think we should know better and bet on the boxer that we think we should win the fight base on our own analysis. But with Donaire vs Santiago, I will go with the popular opinion that Donaire will beat Santiago and win the WBC bantamweight again.
962  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: July 22, 2023, 06:37:16 AM
James Harden posted on twitter that he’s been comfortable for too long and it’s time to get uncomfortable. I’m not exactly sure what he’s referring to since he hasn’t stayed on one team long enough to get comfortable. Maybe he’s talking about his routine that has him overweight and unable to perform at the level he once could. Who knows?

So another prophetic quote from him? Maybe he is referring to the team that he will go? Perhaps the new team will be uncomfortable with him around as their new player and perhaps there will be a big changes on that team.

Regardless, I don't see him going to the rigorous diet. But let's see, him and the Lillard are one of the most anticipated news this summer and we don't know where or what team will be their destination although they have their preferences, but so far no clear news yet.

As if he's been comfortable even once with the teams he went into after they left OKC. I feel like the team that WB, Harden, & KD was most comfortable with was in OKC, but they did not trust the process LOL! They were all too impatient and that could be the reason why they're struggling to win a championship with any team they go. KD was only carried with the 73-9 GSW to his first ring.
It could be very interesting if we see Harden and Lillard land on the same team. I guess, they're just strong in papers, but any talented team like the Nuggets could actually beat any super team in the NBA today. This isn't the 2010 era anymore where stacked teams will automatically have a ticket in the finals.
Perhaps they are still very young then, if and my memory serves me right, they have to trade Harden then to ease their luxury taxes. But I do agree, what if prime KD, WB and Harden playing at OKC. And then they have Ibaka and Perks at the middle and Fisher at guard position.

They could compete back then, but I guess they don't have the experience back then. And then KD moving to GSW was the final nail in the coffin for them as WB can't carry the team although he has the best statistical numbers for him and won MVP.
963  Other / Meta / Re: How Can We Identify Someone Who Uses AI? on: July 22, 2023, 06:27:21 AM
The use of AI to make a quality post is a big offense in this Forum and I believe we still have members who are still doing as we speak.
I can't tell why they do it or is it because of how the high ranked members preach so much about making quality post before you earn merit that's the cause of people using AI to post or is there something we need to know that's the cause of breaking this rule.
How can we wash off this ill behavior? Because I know the offenders know it's not good and they know the implications if found doing it. What's the best thing to do to stop the use of AI from going on in this Forum?
Perhaps just follow your instinct?

If you see a post and it doesn't sounds like a human did it, then perhaps you might be right. I'm not generalizing everyone, but perhaps majority of newbies might be guilty of doing AI post. But for those who have been here for so long, then I doubt that they will do AI posting. I think newbies might used AI more often, one reason is that they might think that they should post with quality and obviously to get merit as well.
964  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can't do something else offline, is this something wrong? on: July 21, 2023, 09:00:56 PM
Guys am I the only one having problem shifting my attention into another business like whenever I want to try a business with the money that made from bitcoin I always feel distracted and I don't like it. It's like a distraction to me.

How are you guys running two business together? If the hustle isn't online I don't like it, I have few asic miners that I use to mine Bitcoin and I monitor the farm every day, I also gamble online too, I am also a big crypto investor, I am convenient with these.

yesterday friends came to me and we have some discussions about businesses, they advise me to invest some money into raring of cattles,  I know how profitable the business is because I know those who are really into this and they are doing fine, I'm not ready to enjoy it because I enjoy online hustle than others, the world have called me freak for going down this path but it favours me and I am a living proof.

My end goal is retirement through Bitcoin, I have no other dream than this, and I am not a dreamer but a doer. We all have a favorite subject in school for a reason, Bitcoin is just mine. Out of school though.
Well I had attempted to do it as well, put money on a business, money that I profited from bitcoin. But the thing is that I'm really focus on my bitcoin trading and any other means to make money out of crypto.

So what I do is I ask the help of my wife for my offline business. Of course she can't devout 24 hours on it, but at least we have started something, another means of making money, regardless if it is small in the beginning. So my advise is to get someone to help you out, and as long as you have the same goals, I think success will come later.
965  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Hacksaw gaming slot game experience on: July 21, 2023, 02:41:14 PM
The only game that I love to play from Hacksaw Gaming is Wanted Dead or a Wild.

But just like the rest of the games, it's based on RTP so I will say that my experience is so-so. Sometimes i will have like less than 20 spins and I will get the bonus. And then days that are totally lost all my capital winning hitting the bonus or even getting a good pay/multiplier.

And perhaps it might have been discussed here by a thread by @mu_enrico Slots 101: Basics, Strategies, and Discussion (with poll).
966  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Stephen Fulton vs. Naoya Inoue | WBC & WBO 122 lbs bout | July 25 on: July 21, 2023, 02:21:15 PM
Anyone seen the video of Fulton getting a birthday cake from a Japanese?

But for sure, he want's to be cordial but he might be cautious as well. Remember Michael Jordan's food poisoning from a Pizza when he was in Utah? I'm not saying that this could be a trap from Fulton as it could be laid with something. But I guess they are wise enough not to consume that pizza from a Japanese bakery just to be on the safe side.  Smiley

I hope Fulton did accepted that gift as maybe it's just a form of appreciation from that Japanese and there is no harm intended, but at the same time, he should be careful too and only eat what he knows and what he trusted because as the fight night is approaching, we cannot deny that there will be some attempts.
I do think that he accepted it based on the video, as he appreciates the Japanese baker that gifted it to him. But as far as consuming it, I doubt that he will do it just for purpose of media. He might have thrown it away after he got home.

Anyway, about that pizza that Jordan consumed way back, he did not get sick because of it and nobody can confirm that as well that it was indeed a food poisoning because the owner of the shop himself was the one who made and delivered that pizza to Jordan's room. It was just a flu, that is why that specific game was called a flu-game and not a food poisoning game.
I'm not really sure, but if you watch the Jordan documentary, there are individuals who confirm that it was indeed a food poisoning and not that he has a flu. But the rest is history already as he has hid Jordan 12 "Flu game" shoes (if you are a Jordan shoe collector). And that game has been etch on basketball history.

Let us not forget that the fight will be held in Japan, the only way for you to win is via knockout and I don't think that Fulton could KO Inoue so with that I will be betting Inoue to win via decision @3.10, a good bet for me.

Good luck, but honestly, I find it hard to believe in anything other than a KO win by Inoue. You know, he is a KO artist, so it's most likely he will win via KO if you believe he will win. The reason why a KO win by Inoue has lower odds is because it's likely what we will witness. So, I'm still with Inoue, but on the KO win.
Yeah, you are right, obviously, Inoue is looking for a KO but we will see if Fulton can handle that power or not. He is the champion here and had fought one of the best in the division in Figueroa and survived.

So for sure this is going to be a great fight, this two boxers style make a perfect fit for a great fight.

And for gamblers, it's really hard to choose or bet and maybe we will have to wait for the day itself to decide where we are going to put our money.

969  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: If you quit that's when you lose! on: July 20, 2023, 06:40:55 AM
Now let's take this to a discuss; how correct is this statement? And is there any similar statement like that in your home-country that's popularly used among gamblers to encourage themselves from quiting gambling because they're losing?
Or would you allow your decision to quit gambling to be affected by any popular statement among your fellow gamblers or it's a no no thing for you?
Yeah, I think it's a popular mantra by die hard gamblers, but if you look at it, very wrong to me. I mean you can quit when you are still on top and had money in your wallet. So who would like to go to sleep without money and losing big?

And obviously, since this is gambling, we really don't know what the outcome will be. There could be someone who thinks YOLO and go all in. I can't blame him/her for that. But if you are going to used logic here, it's better to go home while you are in the positive side.
970  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: July 20, 2023, 06:30:50 AM
Embiid has not shown any interest in leaving the team thus far, but there are rumors of his teammates, like James Harden, wanting a trade. In this situation, it might be worth considering trading Harden, as he hasn't performed at his best with the team. Embiid is the franchise player and team captain, so the focus should be on surrounding him with capable players who will commit to the system. Additionally, having a coach with a championship mentality is crucial for their success.
He might not shown his intentions directly, but thru his words, you can clearly that he is willing to get out of Philly and go to a championship contender team. Philly though has surrounded him with good players like a prime Ben, before the breakdown, and we have seen them getting closer, if not for that heart breaking lost to the Raptors lead by Kawhi. And now that Harden's want to leave, then it will be Embiid job again and it might be very difficult to him because he need another good A-caliber player to help him.
Embiid looks quite happy where he is, even if they do not end up getting a championship, that doesn't mean he has to be upset there, sure he will of course want to be a big star there but that doesn't mean that he is going to ask for a trade.
I'm not sure if you heard what Joel said, let me quote it for you,

Quote
“I just want to win a championship. Whatever it takes. I don’t know where that’s going to be. Whether it’s Philly or anywhere else. I just want to have a chance to accomplish that. I want to see what it feels like to win my first one, then you can think about the next one. It’s not easy, but it takes more than one, two, three guys. You got to have good people around you.”

https://www.sbnation.com/nba/2023/7/17/23797436/joel-embiid-trade-request-video-comments-philadelphia-76ers

So it's very clear that he might look for other teams and leave Phlly to chase that ring.

We need to wait and see, if he does want to get traded, there aren't that many teams that lack center position and could content, because last years finalists had Jokic and Adebayo, and they won't give those players up, which leaves like maybe Lakers and maybe Warriors, those are the only ones I can see at the moment that could want him there and it should not be that weird for them to get him, but who are they going to trade for in that case? Sixers can't get anyone in that case.
Maybe not this year or this season, but perhaps we will see how everything goes for them at the start. James Harden had ask for a trade already and Sixers management are working on it. So time is not on the side of Sixers if they want Embiid to stay. They need to get another player as I have said to compliment his style of play and win at least 1 ring when Joel is still in his prime.
971  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin maximum price on: July 20, 2023, 05:56:35 AM
Many people claim that bitcoin is worth $ 1 million or even more, the security system, speed and many other features make bitcoin supposed to be very expensive, if more and more users will feel the benefits when they want to transact with bitcoin.
$1 million is a very high price, I never thought we would get to that price, let's think and see this realistically and I think the Bitcoin price is a market game that some groups continue to make to attract bidders to keep believing and investing on Bitcoin, regardless of whether it will benefit a group or not but the movement continues to occur as what has happened in the past.
Bitcoin had showed so many surprised to us in the past, we never thought of seeing $1k-$10k, now we are targeting $100k or more in the next bull run phase. So maybe in the future we are going to reach $1 million who knows.

As we gets closer to halving every 4 years and bitcoin getting limited and people are fighting it out, the basic economic law of supply and demand will take it's effect on the market. So let's see, maybe 2-3 halvings from now we will see 7 figures.
972  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Beginners, you don't need Bitcoin first on: July 20, 2023, 03:11:28 AM
Newbie can not always be called a Newbie. Those who are new to the Bitcoin market are called Newbies, but not all Newbies do not have sufficient knowledge of Bitcoin investment. Without Newbie there is no Senior, those who have become senior investors start from Newbie. Sufficient capital as a complement in the Investment process, those with sufficient capital are calmer even though the price of Bitcoin is moving sideways.
I think the point of the OP is that newbies easily jump on the bandwagon and that is bitcoin and think that they will be instant millionaire. And the worst thing is that they don't have a job or might be not be earning enough money to be a investor. And with that they don't have sufficient capital to start and so they borrow money from others.

It doesn't matter where the source of money is used for Bitcoin investment as long as you have mastered the knowledge of investing, knowledge will lead someone to be more calm, patient and relaxed when there is a downturn in the market. This is only limited to your assumptions in my opinion, anyone can invest in Bitcoin as long as they are equipped with knowledge and skills. A person's character is formed from small things and failures in the past, courage in taking action will pave the way to success.
It will be a big learning curve for them, but hopefully they will learn from it and became a bitcoin holder. And won't borrow or take a loan from people or even bank. And with a stable job, they could be a successful investor as they have source of money then.
973  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Mistake that prevented your big win. on: July 19, 2023, 02:04:58 PM
As a gambler,I know that we have done so many mistakes in the pass base on our bets and wrong strategy or calculations that we have done which led to losing the game that was suppose to make you win big. I want to use myself as an example,I love sportbet and I bet more on it. Last months I placed my bet on 7 games that was to be played for two days. When the 5th game was played, all matches came out as predicted and I was called by the casino,to offer me a cash out of $200 in my local currency and I refused it because if the other two games was played and the I got the predictions right. I will win $1200,so I turned the offer down. The painful part of it was that the two games were to kick off on the same time, and after the games,my prediction for the two games was wrong. I felt so bad because I allowed greed to control my emotion. For this reason,I having decided that when ever I have an opportunity to cash out again,I will always go for it,instead of thinking that I can win all the money.
So my question is this,as a gambler what mistake have you made when gambling that prevented you from winning big.
Let's discuss.
If will the defeat the purpose of you betting on the game if you decided to cash out early. So in essence, it might not be gambling anymore if you don't take that risk. So I don't see anything wrong with your move, for me, you made the right decision and you should stand by it.

Otherwise, you will have regrets and again, it might not be good for you in the long run. Just move on the next day and bet and then see how it goes for you. Don't be bothered by it, just live another day.
974  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: July 19, 2023, 05:58:49 AM
If that's true, then the 76ers management should think about building a really strong team before Embiid runs out of patience.

Actually, Philly is always doing their best to build a strong core around Joel Embiid every season. Even reshuffling the coaching staff is being considered. They are always active at trying to get into hot trades and actively fishing some good role players at the free agency.

The "Trust the Process" that is currently several years in the making now achieved 1 achievement, and that is Embiid now finally getting his NBA Season MVP award. The next and the biggest one should be the NBA Championship but will he be able to achieve it in Philly or elsewhere?

Chemistry issues indeed. Again as I mentioned, several times already where Philly tried to build a solid lineup around Embiid but nothing works effectively. Maybe Embiid can find it on another team but as long as he won't demand a trade, Philly should just try their best to find a good role players out there that will perfectly blend with Embiid.

If they always change their roster each season then they might not get any best result in the long run since chemistry is really important in a team and they cannot get that if there's always a roster change happen every end of the season. Much better if they focus to build up good chemistry with current strong roster they have since for sure with that they might have a good chance to win a championship on their team. For now as you said they really need good role players since this could help them a lot.

Embiid has not shown any interest in leaving the team thus far, but there are rumors of his teammates, like James Harden, wanting a trade. In this situation, it might be worth considering trading Harden, as he hasn't performed at his best with the team. 975  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: You must do this if you want to QUIT or NOT on: July 19, 2023, 05:38:49 AM
I do hope that people will do this because what I've mostly noticed is that they will tend to continue playing because they want to chase up losses, but again, that is really a good move if we are able to do it because you tend to relax and think about the right move. This is like if you are planning to buy something but you should wait like 3 days to know if you still want that stuff. Controlling our emotions is really difficult, but once we are able to do it, then for sure we won't be addicted to something.
Self discipline is the key, they could be chasing losses, but I think it's more on the adrenaline, the feeling of winning again that put's this gambler to come back for more and then become addict themselves.

So really very hard, and although the solution is really very simple if you look at papers, it might be too complicated for gamblers as they don't want to open up about their gambling addiction to others, even to their love ones.
976  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How can I understand meme coin good or bad position? on: July 18, 2023, 04:19:52 PM
How can I understand a meme coin's position in the current market? Is there any way to tell if it will be good or bad? I have seen MEXC exchange add many meme tokens daily. How to identify a good token from here?
Bad exchange + meme or shitcoin? doesn't sounds right to me, so I guess it could be a recipe for disaster? And with that meme coin is not considered a good token to be honest, so I don't know where you get that idea in the first place.

Meme coins are pure pump and dump project, so I do hope that you know that it means. If not then you have to research for it and then come back here and. tell if if meme coins is good or bad.
977  Economy / Speculation / Re: $30000 is becoming the resistant price on: July 18, 2023, 04:04:05 PM
This looks more like bitcoin may decrease more? That is what it seems to me if bitcoin can go below $29200.
Another way to look at this is that all the attempts to push the price below $30k has failed which means the chances of going lower is diminishing every day. And in my opinion that's the best speculation we can have since the market is uncertain. Only that the chances of a drop is decreasing every day.
Yes, but it seems that we are below $30k as of this time, so maybe those how are pushing for it has been successful. Nevertheless, we will see if this is going to hold on not.

I mean $30k has been the support for quite sometime now, so now the ball is on the side of the bulls to keep it, otherwise, the bears are going to succeed and so $28k and then $25k is the next obvious support line. Not sure though why it went below, maybe there is negative news in the market again.
978  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tyson Fury vs Francis Ngannou Boxing October 28 on: July 18, 2023, 01:37:53 AM
~
I personally would want to see an underdog story especially if the challenger is worth it, just like this one because Ngannou is not a push over.
We all probably seen those stories if you're around in the 80s - 90s era where there are challengers surfacing who would want to take their chance.
You are mentioning the underdog story of a boxer making a huge upset, Francis Ngannou is making his boxing debut. In MMA he is a force to recon as he has huge power, if you check out all his knockouts in MMA you will understand why he will not replicate the same in boxing especially against someone elite like Tyson Fury, who could read the punch coming from a mile Grin.
So, you mean that upsets are impossible to happen to a fight where the challenger is still making his boxing debut? I seriously think that it's not really limited to boxers who already have their own share of experience in this industry.

And while it is correct that Fury is an elite boxer, that is not a guarantee that it will be a walk in the park for him just because of the stated fact above. Francis Ngannou might have no experience in boxing professionally, but I still believe that he got a fair chance against Fury.
There is still some small element of upsets here, Mike Tyson during his prime was upset by Buster Douglas, it's not a lucky shot though, it is because Mike Tyson didn't train that hard in the gym but just casually go and not put 100% of his effort and then underestimate Douglas.

So if Fury will have that kind of mentality here, thinking that Francis is just a walk in the park for him because he is not a pure boxer but a MMA and trying to cross over, then it could be the same outcome.

I think it's a bold move by Phoenix to traded Cam Payne, I think they don't believed that Payne could really be a good guard for them. Of course he has been mentored by CP3, but since he is gone, then I guess they have to traded him too.

Aside from that, I think the move was also an advantage for Cam Payne as he will be utilized more in another team.

With the current stacked roster of the Phoenix Suns right now especially at the guard position, Cam Payne will not grow anymore on this team. It's a good move that instead of keeping him on the bench for long, used his value to get a good deal.

Both Phoenix Suns and Cam Payne do have a win and advantage on that deal. I'm expecting Payne will make a noise next season.
Yes, same as how Cam Johnson and Mikael Bridges are with the Nets right now. They have blossom more of a player as compare when they are still in the Phoenix Suns uniform.

And besides that, I think ti's more of a business move as well, as the Suns might have save some money and then have a future for that trade. So it's good to see how Cam Payne will make some noise in his new uniform next year.
980  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: July 17, 2023, 11:53:42 PM
Well, we can say that Teofimo Lopez is just trying to make his name even bigger and to draw out more money in his future fights that is why he is saying that this kind of stuffs. I think that is already unusual for boxers that young to express their retirement after winning a big fight against a big name. Other than that, I don't see any reasons that he is that serious about his retirement.
What a joke 25 years old boy want to retire when GGG, a 41 years old boxer is still fighting in professional scene and always smiling even though his scorecard was robbed against Canelo. Although he was win against Josh Taylor, but I don't think he can beat Haney. Loma already tried his best and yet Haney still win, Lopez isn't in the same level like Haney and Loma. It's better for him to continue to get more belt in his current division.
I mean Teo is very different breed of boxer, GGG is an old school as we get, he could even fight in era wherein in was the toughest, in the 80's. Now this boxers look for pay check after pay check, looking for millions for every fight to the point wherein sometimes they really went overboard when they promote their fight. However, Teo now has the belt, so he may have to dictate all the terms he want if ever he will face Haney.

But I do agree that Haney might win this fight if he uses his superior technical skills and not engage Lopez as Teo has the power.
