It was another amazing night for Nuggets. Butler was once again not himself exactly and this helped Nuggets win even much easier. We have been saying over and over again that Butler should improve his performance in offense and play like he was doing before the final series. But it looks like his mind is still not fully concentrated on this series.

As long as Butler doesn't take extra responsibility this team don't have much potential to win a game anymore in the series. It has already become 3-1 and Jokic is getting close to carrying the team to the first championship in their history.

He did actually, but it was not enough, and in order for them to win, I guess Butler has to take the scoring load as his team mates are not there for him. Maybe another 40-50 point performance might do it for him and the team.

But it will take a lot from the Heat now as they are down 3-1. And we might as well conclude that it will be the Nuggets as the new champion for this season. And I think they deserved it, winning the tough West conference and then just stomping everyone in the playoffs.
982  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are you guilty of promising not to gamble for specific days but back next day on: June 10, 2023, 10:23:38 AM
I did it many times back when my addiction is very high, I promise not to gamble after I lose a big amount I even swear that I will not, but the following day I'm back even promising to be better and not lose a big amount again.

Same here, and the worst thing is that we have to look for source of the money that we have to play, maybe we need to loan or pawn something in order to continue to play.

And it's really hard to control that emotions though, I mean we have regrets when we get out of a landbase casinos or exited from online gambling platform and think that it's over for us as we lost big amount of money. But the next morning, we have to find a way to have the money again to continue to gamble despite what happen to us the night before. And I guess this will continue until you admit to yourself that gambling is really that bad and that you have to stop the madness of losing money.
983  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My Bitcoin Transaction is not been processed on: June 10, 2023, 09:54:09 AM

Where did you send the fund to? Does 1AZepsGtdPNoE369k6c8hMgWzVnkxQNbjd belong to a non-custodial wallet or a custodial service?
If the address belongs to a custodial service like an exchange, the only thing you can do is wait.
It's an exchange wallet. I have no problem waiting as far as I can get my asset back

Good, because you can't do anything about it, as others have said, but to wait.

Let this be just a lesson not just for you but for everyone else to check the state of the mempool to see how much fee you need to in order for your transaction to at least in the next block. We all know that it's getting expensive, but if you are in hurry then there's you have to bump your fee.
984  Economy / Speculation / Re: The Bitcoin market is back on track on: June 10, 2023, 09:32:41 AM
Even though the current price is declining, I'm sure the price will return to the track immediately, of course if the price has reached $ 30k, it can be said to return to the right path, and I'm sure the price of $ 30k will occur in June, now what we think about is continuing to buy And don't panic.

Immediately? meaning short term? I doubt that we will remain to or reach $30k though, even at the end of the month. There's too much going on the market right now, for sure you have heard the SEC vs Coinbase/Binance case, if not then I urge you to read about it.  As much as we say that it doesn't have an effect, but as we can see the price goes to $25k again, so it's not a good sign.

However, if we are going to look at long term, then no doubt I can see the price recovering maybe in what we called the -ber months, the last quarter of the year. There could be a good bounce and we might see the price going to $30k-$40k before the end of the year.
985  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Nonito Donaire vs Alejandro Santiago for WBC bantamweight title on: June 09, 2023, 03:55:00 PM

And again, our argument that Donaire is not getting old, might go against him if the fight is going to happen next year.

It's truly unfair for him. Other boxers have already been given the opportunity to fight, while he has to wait for another chance just to get back into action. It appears that they don't want to see Donaire become a champion again, as his presence could potentially jeopardize the opportunities for younger contenders if they opt for a unification fight.

It's not that mate, people surely wanted to see Donaire fighting again inside the ring because only few boxers are still that active now considering his situation. It's just that the situation is not on his favor because Richard Schaefer of the Probellum (Donaire's promoter) does have a current problem that hasn't been resolved which is why Donaire is stagnant and inactive for over a year now.

Probellum no longer exist, it was disbanded and all their boxers have been absorbed by the new promoter/manager. But Donaire though and one or two boxers remains loyal to Richard Schaefer. So he still carries Donaire minus the Probellum name.

That's why it doesn't make sense for Donaire or Richard to get this deal happen in the US and not in Mexico. They should be cleared as they bolted out from that management already. There could be serious allegations though, but I think Richard is clean or not tied up to the former owner of Probellum.
986  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is There A Time That You Calculated All Your loses In One Year on: June 09, 2023, 03:30:48 PM
Is There A Time That You Calculated All Your loses In One Year One Online and Offline

This is the most depressing thing to do, you'll be surprised at the amount,  I did this 4 years ago on offline number betting and Lottery I kept all the tickets I sometimes win 3rd and 4th prizes but every time I won consolation I increase my tickets I consider this a sign that I will hit the jackpot soon but unfortunately it never happens.

When I count all my losses on numbers and the lottery it's enough to buy a small parcel of a lot and build a bungalow type and we're just renting a room back then.

Again I did it 3 years ago when I become active in online casinos and the amount is also depressing I could have bought a tricycle that I can use for a living.

So I stopped counting my losses and just minimize my betting I just tried to be happy on the thought that I have good times betting and I enjoy the thrill.

I voted for NO, in the beginning, I might have at some point trying to at least write down my loses. But in the end, I say "f**k" it, I will just play whatever I want without looking at how much I lost vs my winnings.

Because just like in your case, it might be depressing on how big the money that I have totally lost on gambling already and for sure I will feel shit about it. I just the key and what we have heard so many times, just play the money that you can afford to lose. And with that, you don't need to look back at your gambling activity and those 'what if' scenario.
987  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: June 09, 2023, 03:16:30 PM
So many trade scenarios being tossed around all the sudden. Usually this would wait until after the Finals. I guess without a major superstar in this year’s Finals people are going a little crazy. I’m reading that DeAndre Ayton is as good as gone out of Phoenix and they’re trying to get Damian Lillard or Draymond Green and Jordan Poole in return. Phoenix sounds like they’ll be the first team making big moves.

Yeah, I think Ayton's name has been floating a while now, and I'm not surprised though with Jordan Poole's name as well as good trading bait for the Warriors with the way he performed this playoff, and the drama.

I just thought that Damian Lillard will remain a Blazer as he is loyal to the organization. But if he keeps on getting injured, sooner or later the management will have to revamp the team itself and look for fresh legs and faces to their franchise. It's just pity that Dame's prime years with Portland didn't yield any good results as they are getting knockout.
988  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin is ready for $40k on: June 08, 2023, 05:54:43 PM
Bitcoin will go to $ 40 if $ 30k is reached and stays above it,
if it is still below $ 30k then I myself still hesitate to say $ 40k is ready for Bitcoin,
especially in a bear market all bad news is very sensitive, it can be seen that Bitcoin has fallen from $ 30k to $ 25k ,
yes -$5k in just a short time.

Isn't it obvious though that it will be the first line of resistance that we need to break? Although we have broken $30k already, but that run was not sustainable for us as the price goes down hard, many selling to make a profit specially those who bought at the bottom at $15k and probably waiting again to re-invest when the price goes to at least $20k (but we don't know if the price can go that low again, unless if there is a black swan event.)

Regarding $40k, market sentiments is not that good specially with the whole negative news that Binance and Coinbase is getting. SEC filing cases against this two crypto exchange might have a big effect on the price, so short term, I doubt that $40k can be breach then.
989  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have you Considered a Career in Betting Consultancy? on: June 08, 2023, 05:35:22 PM
I mean 69k$? salary per year, okay, probably more of a sports nerd is needed in this career, know everything stats, etc. But that doesnt look right even though you know everything theirs no way they can predict every time right? Also, you cant rely your money on your consultant that doesnt make sense.

For sure this wasn't accurate but more like of an adviser but the decision was still yours in the end, But maybe this is a place for these people since rich people who love to gamble surely could easily pay a Sports expert or a consultant asking for advice, etc. that could help him decide, still, we have since a lot of professional bets and make a prediction on a team but still lose. Possibly can become a great analyst and can be a good asset to something like a TV show that reports on sports.

As you have said, it's more on the numbers and data analytics, in the last couple of years it has evolved already. But I guess it has existed way before, it's that now it has it's own category and we have seen teams using this analytics before and during the game to analyse and give them a better chance to win.

Maybe this is where this so called betting consultancy came into the picture. Perhaps individuals who are good in number and analytics will be hired to do it. Definitely, it's not going to be accurate, but at least if might give you some advantage at least odds might be slight on your favor if you know how to read those data and crunch it.
990  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: June 08, 2023, 05:18:34 PM
Let's see about that because it seems to me that the Lakers got their own plan to improve their roster next season. Even the rumored Dallas trade will not be happen because the Lakers front office already said that they are not interested about the offer, unless the Mavericks are willing to let go Luka in exchange for Lebron.
This season the Lakers have played well even though they didn't get maximum results but at least they have been better than the previous season.
It seems you are right that the Lakers will not be interested in the Dallas trade offer and I did read an update on this one rumor.
Luka is such a great player that it would be impossible for the Mavericks to just let him go.
If this exchange happened then he would lose quite a bit of power to his team.

Or the Lakers is willing to let go of Lebron, I guess the contention is that we have seen Lebron and Kyrie do their handshake when they were still teammates and maybe that's where the rumour started. So it's interesting to see Kyrie being traded by the Dallas team in exchange of several players from the Lakers. However, it's more complicated now that we have heard that the Phoenix Suns is willing to let go of CP3 and so Lakers might be the first time that CP3 wanted to go because of Lebron. But we will see, for sure there will be other teams too willing to sacrifice and get the services of CP3 even though he is old.
991  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Self custody will always win on: June 08, 2023, 04:47:14 PM
Self custody is always the way, it always has been. People like to trade with a small % of their stash though. Also if you have limit sell orders you have to leave your coins on an exchange. There is no other option there unfortunately. Obviously you mitigate risk but all of us at some point have some exposure to the potential of getting scammed by leaving money on exchanges.

Yeah, that's always been the case for us, specially those who have been in the market for so long, who has the experienced already on why self-custody is the best because putting thousands of dollars in exchanges are not the best options. We have seen and hear bad stories, the most notable is the Mt. Gox hacks.

Although maybe some of us have coins is some exchange because after all we are active traders. But I do believed that wise traders and speculators are not putting huge money in their account. Just a small % to continue with their daily trade and at least make some money out of it. And if they have profits already, then withdraw it right away.
992  Economy / Gambling / Re: Top 50 gambling Instagram & TikTok accounts on: June 08, 2023, 12:05:03 PM
Majority of those gamble influencers don't gamble, from the way they behave,I don't think that they are gamblers. Perhaps gambling is one of the most common activity growing very fast in our society toady that is why you see this influencers promoting casinos because they believe that they can make more people go into gamble because they have many followers who will do whatever they are telling them to do. Some of the influencers followers that are gamblers are the only ones that will try the casino that they are advertising. Both the casinos and the influencers are all into one same business, which is looking for money to put in their pockets.
I agree with you. There are many reasons why businesses use influencers. The main goal is to attract new players to the gambling platforms. Will ONLY followers who gamble go there? It's a difficult question. Will such advertising bring in new users who have never played before? Yes. How many? That's another question. However, constant advertising will lead to people knowing about the projects being promoted. In this way, companies create an image.

Everyone who gambles today started somewhere. Some saw an advertisement, some were brought in by friends, some were looking for a football match and ended up on a sports betting website, and so on.

I want to say that advertising has multiple goals, and building brand recognition is not a quick process, but in the end, constant promotion will work.

Thanks for this great list, I might be late though because I don't know this influencers to be honest. Maybe they are doing it to promote a certain gambling sites for sure and maybe they are being paid to do it, part of the marketing arm and obviously this is a good strategy, otherwise they won't be promoting and this so called influencers will suddenly disappear.

Yes, I do agree that it has multiple goals but the main thing is that it could be recognised by everyone and that the platforms are going to be used any anyone because of this influencers.
993  Economy / Speculation / Re: What are your bitcoin May/June price analysis? on: June 07, 2023, 04:02:58 PM
quite confused with the current crypto market situation, on the one hand it is getting closer to bullish and on the other hand the current SEC issue is starting to live again. I don't know if this is true or not, maybe this is the reason why bitcoin price has so far stuck below $30k. with this I speculate that in the near future the price of bitcoin will be stuck between $ 25k - $ 30k.

It's just factor though, if you would remember, we have been trading around this price for quite sometime now, it's a sideway pattern and unfortunately, the break out run that we are expecting is on the downside.

Nevertheless, even if there is the SEC issues against Binance, there is no major movement in price and it's remain as volatile and between the price of $25k-$30k. So the month of June might not be good after all as all the gains that we have in the last 4 months have been eating away. We need to jump to $30k but not sure if this is possible because of the SEC going after Binance.US.
994  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Beterbiev Vs Smith AUG 19 2023 SATURDAY IBF / WBC / WBO LIGHT HEAVYWEIGHT Title on: June 05, 2023, 03:23:50 AM
Even though Callum Smith previously had 2 belts on super middleweight division, but I don't think he's able to beat Beterbiev, this looks like an another easy fight and Beterbiev will win via KO again.

Nothing is more exciting fight anymore unless they make Bivol vs AB happen.
Yeah there's no way to avoid this big fight, despite Beterbiev has a fantastic record, but I think Bivol would able to beat Beterbiev because he previously had beat the crowd and the judges e.g. won over Canelo.

I totally agree here that Bivol will beat Beterbiev once they meet. Styles makes a fight in boxing and Bivol got those boxing skills up a notch than that of AB. Bivol got good defense and can last for 12 rounds if needed unlike Beterbiev where all of his fights ended via KOs, facing a talent like Bivol would give him a problem as it will test his stamina.

I do hope that this Bivol and AB unification fight will happen this year also, 2023 would be the greatest year in boxing history as most of the fight that fight fans wanted to happen has come to reality.

And closely considering about the situation they have now, the unification fight between Bivol and Beterbiev will have to wait at least for a couple of years because the sanctioning bodies are still not inclined to give Bivol that kind of fight as because of the war, his status are also dragged for being a Russian which also gives him enough advantage because if the time will happen sooner, Beterbiev is already old by that time. Might be sad to think but that is the situation they have right now and if I'm not mistaken, Bivol still have not received his fair share in his fight with Canelo as that fight happened in US soil.

Although Bivol and his camp shows intentions already to make this fight with Beterbiev. However, Beterbiev will have to go and win against Smith first. The thoughts of this 2 Russians fighting for the unification came to fruition when Bivol and his camp are not satisfied with what Canelo is offering them for a rematch. For them at least a good 50/50 split will make sense since Bivol already beat Canelo in their first fight. But it seems Canelo still wanted to get the biggest split of the purse and the money in the table which for now Bivol and his team rejected.
995  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin price and my mindset on: June 05, 2023, 02:57:47 AM
If we look at the current market situation, of course I will make bitcoin a long-term investment or at least another year when the halving day occurs, I'm sure early 2024 will explode because the halving will occur in March so ATH will occur again in February or March.

Regardless of what the date is, others says it will be April or even May, but as you have said, as a long term investor, even if the current market conditions is not that good, we still need to stay with the market through thick and thin. What I mean is that we should learn how to take advantage, if the market is down then we should buy more.

Or the best strategy? Just do DCA till the halving, we still have at least a year to accumulate and fatten our wallet. I think at the end of the year we might see a good bounce around $40k. But still we are not going to sell, we will have to wait like 2024-2025 massive bull run because the chances are high to hit another all time high.
996  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: June 05, 2023, 02:35:57 AM
Just a couple of minutes into the game but you can see that the Miami Heat have made a lot of adjustments which paid off for them to get an early lead. We’ll have to see how Denver adjusts to the new starting lineup and play style but I think they’ll probably be alright. Still, a good sign for the Miami Heat that they’re capable of getting out ahead.

Good win by the Heat, again just like how they did it against the Boston Celtics, it was a collective effort by the whole team and everyone contributed to both offense and defense. Bam Adebayo has one of his best games in this playoffs, although Jokic has big 41 points, but there are no triple double for him in this game.

Now it's 1-1, when we thought that the Nuggets might sweep this series, it's different now. They will have to face a tough and hostile environment next game and the Heat has a good chance to get a win in their homecourt. Now, it's time for coach Malone to do the adjustments for the Nuggets.
997  Economy / Speculation / Re: Good time to invest in BTC? on: June 04, 2023, 08:45:17 PM
If we want to buy bitcoin at a low price then now is the right time, if at the end of this year the price has skyrocketed 200% then many people regret not buying, and as investors of course know that the best decision is to make a purchase immediately because this will give us the opportunity for profit.

While the next Halving is coming, and we don't think it will be anytime soon, it is certain that even though it will take time there is no problem with buying Bitcoin at low prices, and what should be done now is to continue buying in market conditions which is still low, considering that the increase will come, but cannot be predicted in the near future or at the end of the year, but instead of being honest they all expect it as soon as possible.

There is already a date for it, not exact, but it will happen around last week of April or first week of May. So that is enough for us to know that before the halving date, we should prepare ourselves, taking as much bitcoin as we can and accumulate and hold. Specially in this bear market, this is the perfect time to do that because price is cheap.

Now the price is still relatively low and this seems to be a good time to enter the market, thus this time is also used by large investors to consistently buy considering the price is still low, and to be honest we are also still consistently using this time to always look for loopholes at Bitcoin, keep doing DCA at this time we think it's good.

Yes, that's what I'm trying to see, the price seems to be relatively calm right now, no major fluctuations as it is trading sideways. Which means the price is still low for the majority of us. And if you have been doing like DCA for the last 10 weeks as a start, you could have been on a good journey to save then.
998  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Would you use a VPN on a casino, even if it is not allowed in their ToS? on: June 04, 2023, 08:22:51 PM
I think still goes down as how you are addicted in terms of your gambling activity, the reason why I think of it is because,

a. You know that it is against the casino's ToS, but you still decided to play? reason, you can't control yourself
b. And if ever you won big money and you think you were able to get away, but the fraud department flagged your account

Now, you complain here, saying that this and that casino scammed you, and usually this kind of players who try to circumvent and uses VPN will not tell initially that they have used it and still insists that the casinos should give them their capital + their winnings.

But if you can looked closely, it was due to their addiction that they continue to play despite the violation and they don't it that they have violated but won't admit it.
999  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Terrence Crawford vs Errol Spence - June 17 on: June 04, 2023, 08:08:45 PM
Does anyone remember the old odds before the sportsbooks have taken them down? I remember it was close, however, Terence Crawford was the underdog. I also remember that much of the people were on Errol Spence except for maybe @Boafeng and 1 or 2 other people. I too was also on Crawford.
This is what makes things more interesting and exciting because even us here in the forum are divided very well, I guess the majority (assuming) are going with Crawford and some are into Spence Jr. as well. While it's true that their power appears to be equal but I certainly don't agree with Spence being the stronger, physically. I mean, what would be the basis of that? I think it's already fair to agree that their prowess are close which leaves most fans unable to choose what camp should they go into.
Yeah, just take a look with the voting result, it's already clear majority of users think Crawford is better than Spence.

You're correct too, there's no way to say Spence is stronger than Crawford, just take a look from their both history, Crawford was winning easily by KO in his recent 8 fought while Spence was struggling when he fought a good boxer e.g. Shawn Porter.

Spence only win from the total belts he currently have, but people are think Crawford will win. This situation quite similar where people think Tank is better than Haney.

Right and I think it's an easy route for Spence too as he was given a chance to get the WBA belt from Ugas. While Spence is fighting undefeated fighters like Jose Benavidez Jr. and Egidijus Kavaliauskas.

Nevertheless, it's style that makes the fight. So really hard to compare both of their wins against Porter or even Kell Brook for that matter.

What's important is now we will finally see who is really the best of this division, Crawford just a slight favorite because of his shiftiness, he can just switch stance for orthodox to south paw very quick.

It is understandable why people are rooting for Errol Spence Jr. and that is because he simply got 3 belts compared to Crawford who only got 1. But for us here who follows their story and watched almost all of their fights, we can somehow say that we pretty much know the real score between these two and it is already evident enough to see because the bookies are listing Crawford as a favorite.
There is just no way that the bookies will make a dumb assessment and to have a mistake on their published odds especially in this kind of big fight that has been waited by many.

And I think every sport bookies rely on the Las Vegas odds maker, so that there will be a uniform odds across everyone here. Yes, it seems though that even if Spence Jr has 3 belts, it didn't hold any weight for the odds maker, still they think that the kind of welterweight is Bud Crawford that's why he is the favorite. And I will agree with them putting him at a slight favorite and it will really give Spence a motivation here to show that they are wrong. I've seen though that Crawford is more on the media now, having interviews with different host in podcast, so the marketing for this fight has started. Yet to see Spence though, but we can see images of him in the gym already.
1000  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: June 04, 2023, 07:48:24 PM
^^ Most likely it will be the Nuggets, maybe 6, or 5 will be the mark, at least give the Heat a chance to win at their homecourt and not be swept in the Finals.

I’m still on doubt about sureness of Nuggets winning the finals because I still didn’t see Jimmy Butler on fire. I will be convinced that Nuggets already got this finals if they will still defeat Miami while Butler is on clutch mode. But
Er is very cold on game 1 same with other players like Caleb Martin that kill Boston in game 7 with his accurate 3 pointer. I like to see a real clash and shut down before we conclude.
I understand that you think Miami Heat was ineffective and not at their best self and that is correct but the thing is, Nuggets made them play bad offensively because of number of factors. First of all, Nuggets are much bigger than Heat and it shows both offensively and defensively. They couldn't match up with Aaron Gordon for example. And if Adebayo goes to help, then there is open Jokic which is deadly for any team. He can score or  assist, just easy. I think we saw a huge difference between Nuggets and Heat performance-wise, both from physical difference and from the fact that Nuggets were well rested while Heat was worn out, naturally after a long series against Celtics. I also don't expect a big reaction from Heat after this point. Nuggets seem just much better.

Moving forward, it's going to be a battle of strategy. The Heat knows that they are no match because of the Nuggets height advantage, that's why they rely on their outside shooting which is non-existent on game 1. Just imagine if the shots are falling, it might have been a different outcome of the game. Maybe the Nuggets will post Jokic more to score, or Jimmy making those crucial shots. Still very early to predict how this series goes although majority thinks that it will be the Nuggets eventually winning in 6 games.
