1941  Other / Off-topic / Re: sMerit Post-Review on: May 04, 2018, 01:57:26 PM
Locking this thread, as there are just people copy + pasting my earlier posts and not taking this seriously. It got moved to Off-Topic and it has completely ruined this thread. I don't want to move it back until I figure out what's going on.
1942  Other / Meta / Why was my thread moved to "Off-Topic"? on: May 04, 2018, 01:56:01 PM
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2819141.0

I've been running this sMerit review thread since the day that merit came out and it has been a fun little project. I originally had posted it in Meta, but this didn't allow for self-moderation and it seemed to be more of a Service anyways so I ended up deciding to make it there. Now it has suddenly, after months of going fine has been moved to "Off-Topic", which I have on my ignore-boards list and do not plan to post in.

I'd like a good explanation for why this has happened, because it doesn't make sense to me.
1943  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Exchanging BTC > ETH & ETH > BTC on: May 04, 2018, 01:52:14 PM
I don't mean like China, although it almost feels that way. I mean in the sense that my download speed peaks at a few bytes and bits here and there. It barely loads the forum, and there's no way I'm getting any gaming going. Whenever I try to log into an exchange or boot up any wallet it just times out.

I would disclose my rates publicly, if I knew what they were. Normally I just swap some of my coins, that are not associated with the payment address I provide, through Gemini exchange or other popular exchanges. If this is a problem for any particular client, then arrangements are made, and rates are adjusted. I just swap it for you at whatever Gemini's rate is (pretty spot-on with Preev and ether.price) minus their fee (extremely minimal); if you're feeling froggy then you can leave me a tip beyond that. I'm not expecting to make a profit, and I'll be transparent with all of the exchange rates/fees. Did that answer your question legendster?

Internet seems to be okay today and I have 1 ETH on hand for anyone interested in a smooth easy exchange.
1944  Economy / Services / Re: [FREE FOR 3 DAYS] Earn 4 740% in BTC on crypto arbitrage! on: May 04, 2018, 12:11:26 PM
I've had an extremely busy week and I was unable to sign up for your free-trial within the 3-days. I'd love to hear some feedback from any of the members that did get a chance to check out your service and signals. I spent the week making plans for my mining operation to expand. It seems trade-signals that are legitimate are very difficult to come by in the cryptocurrency world. Arbitrage opportunities regularly die out before you get a chance to jump on them, because there are thousands of people using thousands of algorithms and bots to cycle their money in the same way. If you plan on doing another free trial, let us know, because I would love to try to get on the train this time. Does anybody have feedback, good or bad about the trial/service?
1945  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bounty Everywhere, How to choose a Feasible one? on: May 04, 2018, 12:02:35 PM
I was absolutely convinced that your original post was plagiarized, but I just spent a good 15-minutes trying to track down anything similar and I came up empty. You spelt "Vision" wrong, unless "vission" is something new that I've never heard of. Your criteria are way too corporate and it sounds like you're missing the point of cryptocurrency entirely. Too many people and companies seem to think there is a correct formula to creating a profitable crypto, when in reality all you need is something helpful, useful and creative to catch on.
1946  Economy / Digital goods / Re: Have 1k usd Pokerstars, Want 850 usd worth of BTC on: May 03, 2018, 10:08:38 PM
You've already waited over a week for your money at this point, because of your refusal to accept terms that will allow your partner to feel secure about the deal. You will need to contact an escrow, and nobody is going to just release funds to you in the hopes that they will be able to withdraw your Pokerstars. People want guarantees and assurance that their money isn't being thrown in a pit. You aren't doing a good job of convincing people that they aren't at this moment.
1947  Economy / Economics / Re: can you imagine bitcoin as your prime currency. on: May 03, 2018, 09:48:50 PM
Can I imagine it? I'm living it. It is sincerely not that far fetched of an idea to accomplish. Bitcoin is extremely liquid and valuable, there's no reason why you cannot use it as your primary currency. The entire point of Bitcoin since it's genesis has been to be a feasible replacement for the regular fiat currencies. Reserve currencies and centralization is one of the primary foundational principles of Bitcoin. If you cannot imagine or implement Bitcoin as your primary currency then you are doing Bitcoin wrong.
1948  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: I got merits, lots of them - do you want some?? on: May 03, 2018, 06:41:37 PM
This helps me understand your position a bit better. I personally hand out a decent amount of my sMerit in those boards, but I can certainly understand where you're coming from. It is really rare that I bump into high ranking members in these section that aren't spammers. I spend hours searching for good threads to post in, and usually it is just me giving a tip to a beginner anyways. The best threads from these boards that I have ever found are those that have been submitted to me within my "Review thread". I agree, it's probably a waste of time, but old habits die hard and I find gems occasionally. That stuff hurts my eyes too, but the mods have been kicking ass lately, so hopefully it doesn't remain like this for much longer.
1949  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: I got merits, lots of them - do you want some?? on: May 03, 2018, 06:24:52 PM
Don't post in Bitcoin Discussion or Economics

I'm wondering if this is universal advice or if you are suggesting this specifically to lower ranking members seeking to earn merit as the title suggests. Can you please clarify this for me? Bitcoin Discussion and Economics are some of my favorite boards, even if they're flooded with spam that I'm forced to avoid.
1950  Economy / Invites & Accounts / Re: High Quality Accounts for everything you need! Lifetime Warranty on: May 02, 2018, 12:33:00 AM
My biggest concern about these things as always is how the accounts are acquired. Illegally obtained accounts, hacked accounts, or another person's account that you do not have permission to use is fraudulent. I would like to know how these accounts are obtained; care to clarify? You also need to do as another user has said and contact an escrow, although I do not suggest anybody purchase these accounts until you can be sure that they are legitimately acquired (probably aren't).
1951  Economy / Services / Re: [FREE FOR 3 DAYS] Earn 4 740% in BTC on crypto arbitrage! on: May 01, 2018, 02:19:18 PM
I tried signing up and I can't get my free-trial to work. Everytime you are doing a discounted price, and now a free-trial I believe you are artificially lowering the number and I cannot figure out why. Has there been anybody that can vouch for this service? I haven't heard of anybody making a dime yet, but hopefully someone else can get their trial working and clue me in.
1952  Other / Off-topic / Re: sMerit Post-Review on: April 29, 2018, 07:48:49 PM

You sneaky dog, you snuck in more submission before I actually reviewed this post. That being said, this submission was just included in the newer submissions and I already gave a review of it. So I suppose it is not the end of the world. No harm, no foul, but you already have my review on this one since I did it out of order.

Although it may seem innocuous or innocent, you have broken a local-rule in the way you have formatted your submission. Please feel free to resubmit your post when you have read and fully understand the rules of the thread.

1953  Economy / Services / Re: [FULL] ChipMixer Signature Campaign | 0.00075 BTC/post on: April 29, 2018, 01:51:03 PM
Week 12 payment received, that makes 3-months in this campaign already. Time absolutely flies, that's crazy. Anyways, thanks for the on-time payment DarkStar_ and ChipMixer. Is this lightning thing dead in the water for now, at least until limits have increased?
1954  Economy / Services / Re: Earn 4 740% in BTC on crypto arbitrage! Cutting edge crypto arbitrage service! on: April 27, 2018, 11:53:54 PM
So we're thinking about a free trial. Anyway, it will take time. But now we extend our low price offer for 10 more places!

You should be doing more than just thinking about it. You've seen that this is probably the only way for you to break through into this community. Nobody is interested in throwing money your way without a track-record, history or a reputation to back things up. Otherwise it just sounds like empty promises.

Last place left for discounted price

I find it hard to believe that you sold 9-10 "discounted price" slots to members on this forum and not a single one of them made a post in this thread to show their interest. That's not something that happens. I'm going to have to either see this Free-trial or step away from your service. It seems like you're lying about your sales, to mislead people into thinking there are happy customers when there are not. At this point, it's time for you to either put up or shut up, because we're not seeing anything but red-flags at this point.

1955  Other / Off-topic / Re: sMerit Post-Review on: April 27, 2018, 11:47:51 PM

I always appreciate it when someone takes the time to go back and read the rules before they come back and resubmit their posts. All I needed to do to review this post was read the title. After reading the title I do not need to go any farther. I have repeated myself many times, explaining that I am not interested in giving merit to bounty/airdrop or signature campaign related posts of this kind. "Manage your bounties with only browser !!!" Just sounds like exactly the kind of thing that I am trying to avoid, unless you are being extremely ironic and it has went over my head entirely. I will not be giving merit to this post.
1956  Other / Off-topic / Re: sMerit Post-Review on: April 27, 2018, 11:36:10 PM

I almost gave you a merit point for your first submission, but I've decided against it. I agree with just about everything you've said in the post, but it is mostly conversational and not really informative/helpful to me personally. It was a very well written post, and a necessary post, because the suggested idea of OP wasn't going to work anyways. That being said it is just outside of what I am interested in meriting for this thread. Your second submission was less compelling to me and I didn't really give it too much thought. It reads conversational and isn't really that interesting or helpful. It's not something that I'm interested in meriting at this time.
1957  Economy / Gambling / Re: Rollercoin - the online bitcoin mining simulator on: April 27, 2018, 11:30:54 PM
Seems like a neat little game. I'm going to give you the benefit of the doubt and assume that it is not a ponzi. I will be playing, but certainly I will never be investing or referring people unless it becomes extraordinarily compelling. You've got yourself a new player though. I'll give it a fair few hours of gameplay before I make any judgements. Once I get the chance to give it those few hours though, I'll be sure to pop back in and leave my feedback of how I feel about it.

Can you clarify your stance on what your future plans are for the project as far as monetization and such? It seems there's a common thread of concern, and without addressing it you will certainly have a tough time moving forward.
1958  Other / Off-topic / Re: sMerit Post-Review on: April 27, 2018, 10:46:42 PM

I appreciate you taking the time to read the rules and resubmit your links after understanding them. Unfortunately I am not too interested in giving merit to an ICO unless it is something I truly believe in. I haven't read too much into these coins, but from what I can see they aren't really offering anything new or innovative that would be interesting or helpful. I'm going to have to reject these submissions, but feel free to choose different posts and submit again.
1959  Other / Off-topic / Re: sMerit Post-Review on: April 27, 2018, 08:30:08 PM

You've broken a local-rule in the way that you've formatted your links. Feel free to resubmit your links after you have read and fully understand the rules. I promise I won't hold it against you in the future. Greetings from America. Smiley
1960  Other / Meta / Re: Mark as Read if Seen in Preview on: April 27, 2018, 05:18:00 PM
I read the thread and it disappeared from my watchlist. Can you check again and see what happened?

I'm not sure if we actually are doing the same thing. I'm referring to when you read a thread through the preview-mode.

I'll be typing up a response to a post, and then someone new will post in that same thread before I get to click "post". When I click post I get the message :

"Warning - while you were typing 3 new replies have been posted. You may wish to review your post."

Then, when I go to my Watchlist the thread appears as unread, even though I had just seen the new posts in Preview, and after clicking "post".
