1941  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Blockchain project starting from scratch? on: December 22, 2017, 08:57:12 PM
Hi everyone, been lurking for sometime reading here and finally decided to crawl out of my black cave (yep yep I know it's my first post and it's unethical to request something as your first post but I promise I'll make it up).
Not until you have written 100 lines of code and well understood your basics as far as the title is concerned.

Studying the BC tech for some months now, but still fairly new to this world so I don't really know how to move in it. Asking the most experienced of you if you could give me some resource or advice about how to start a BC project from scratch. I mean, I have a very detailed project with great ideas to make the blockchain tech improve this damn world and people in need, I would like to see this tech being an actor in a social change and not only an economic change (economy drives society, you would say. Kind of right but that's not my point) because it has immense potential and I strongly believe its a revolution similar to the one Internet brought decades ago and we are still in its early days.
- It totally depends on what are you planning to do with it.
- The number one rule of any software development : DRY [Don't repeat yourself] Don't start from scratch ,if a library exist ,use it.As far as I know there are number of blockchain API's provided by services like 'Lisk'/Eth.
1942  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Looking for expert dev with extensive experience with Bitcoin Code [Bounty] on: December 22, 2017, 08:53:11 PM
Need some help resolving an issue with a code updated.

This is a very advanced technical issue, and I need an expert to help. You must have a pretty good understanding and grasp of the Bitcoin source could to be able to help.

0.01 BTC For dev who helps resolve the issue.

0.01 ? What  makes you think someone with advanced level knowledge in bitcoin source code will even give you their 10 minutes for 0.01 bitcoins ? Be little practical man!You are not hiring a html/css designer, you're hiring someone who's expert at Bitcoin Core and there are very few people who can do that.
1943  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: List all the way's to get your transaction confirmed ASAP on: December 21, 2017, 08:46:18 PM
OK it took an extra 5min
- Stop bumping the thread multiple times in less than 24 hours.
- If you been around the bitcoin scene you'd know that network congestion is common and you should always check the bitcoin fees before broadcasting a transaction.
-Technically,there are no alternative ways if you don't use bitcoin-core or any CLI controlled wallet to RBF (Replace By Fee)

Say you received a transaction with too little fees and you want to get it to confirm faster. You basically have to send another transaction with those coins and put a higher fee on that one.
Miners will now also confirm the transaction 'above' yours because they want the fees from the transaction you've sent.
Sounds like a double spend ? I mean in the exact opposite case, why it wouldn't be double spent ?

Also this..
Quote
CPFP is only something the recipient can make use of. If you receive a transaction that is still unconfirmed because the fee was too low, you can spend it and include a transaction fee that is big enough for both transactions. A miner that has CPFP enabled will mine both transactions in order to get the larger fee from the second transaction.

They usual way of doing it using RBF is here : https://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/3uphgv/eli5_what_is_rbfreplacebyfee/
1944  Economy / Gambling / Re: What about the "trusty" games on: December 21, 2017, 07:38:59 PM
When you bet in games like blackjack or hi and low dice games in digital they always says that all is ferar..

They have a trust link for check if that game is trustued or not.
- > Depends on which site you're gambling.

- >You can be easily tricked into believing your roll is fair if you don't know how to check for it.Usually every website has a link to prove their fairness but you gotta filter out the legit ones.

- >Check this old article on how to check for fairness : https://dicesites.com/provably-fair
1945  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoin advice for a new guy on: December 21, 2017, 07:31:00 PM
Hey all. So... after a few weeks of studying crypto i decided to make some purchases. I only bought a couple of days ago, so not holding coins at their lowest point. Nothing huge, but with the idea of holding it for around 10 years to give to my children. I know no-one can ever predict what will happen to prices, so i just bought what ( at this moment ) i could afford to lose, although i am sure i will add small amounts over time in the future. My purchase is made up of some XRP, Iota and Data. I also bought a Ledger Nano to store it on ( guessing that will be as safe as anything ...) Here's the main questions i am wondering....
Why ? Any investment apart from Real-Estate/Oil doesn't seem feasible to reserve for 10 years.I mean who even knows if you will ever wake up tomorrow ? (Sorry a bit philosophical there) Take coins out of crypto, internet would be replace by something else and so will the blockchain...a decade changes everything.

1) Are my purchases sensible ? ( As far as anyone can be with this...and i know alot of that will be based on different peoples opinions, but i didnt want to risk getting caught in a scam ICO )
Who knows ? The fact that you are planning to hold it for 10 years makes me nervous.Do change your thinking there..

2) My ledger gets here in a couple of days... and despite reading up on MEW, i cant figure out if i will be able to send my coins straight to the ledger from the exchange, or will it be Exchange --> MEW --> Ledger.
MewToo! :/  You don't know how to use bitcoin and you're planning to hold it for 10 years ? Man,don't lose that ledger lol Advice : Use a better wallet, exchanges can turn into scam any minute.

Not asking if i should have bought X instead of Y, just asking for a little bit of knowledge as looking and reading the wealth of info out there is swamping me i.e when using/creating with MEW should i be offline ? As it seems i need to download stuff etc..
Yes you do need to download stuff but I don't think you're ready for that yet.Inbox me if you need an further advice/help with cryptos.

1947  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Trustworthy cryptocurrency exchange on: December 16, 2017, 10:26:54 AM
Hello everyone,

Im new to the forum, and would like to ask you where you make your trades. This because i see many complaints about many exchanges. Right now i don't know where to put my money in.
Is there a website to compare them?
All the exchanges are a scum.Sooner or later they will steal your monies. There is not a single exchange which hasn't scammed customer in terms of verification and locking withdrawals.I;d advise using localbitcoins as they kinda of a different architecture from usual exchanges. If you insist on using an exchange, use the one that is located in your country so incase if they scam your money, you know how to find them and knock their teeth out.

I thought Bittrex was quite good, but the many negative replies on the forum changed my mind a bit about them.

Im from the EU, so i don't know if its better to trade on a EU exchange or US?

Looking forward to read your opinion
If you take forum reviews into consideration, you will find an accusation against all of the major exchanges. You gotta take a risk.Anyway it's not a good practice to store your coins on an exchange.History proves, you will end up losing all of it.

Please register and check out the new online marketplace!

URL: https://ewhores.net
What are we suppose to test ? There is barely anything on the website.I mean apart from the sign-up and login forms,I don't even see any clickable links to open.Anyway, must agree you have got one masterpiece of a domain. At this point ,your domain is more expensive than your entire website.
1949  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is it late to invest 10K? on: December 16, 2017, 10:10:54 AM
No matter what you say now, everyone knows the answer and the answer is a BIG NO.   No one will buy bit coins just for sake transaction or use it as a currency if there is no potential of profit...
Lot of people use it to avoid banks and be anonymous.I agree bitcoin wouldn't be here if not for the investors but least people should know is what bitcoin was made for...

I invested in bitcoin because i believe in it, it is cryptocurrency so I am going to use it for its purpose, in my country many shops accept BTC. Also I buy altcoins because i believe in their developers and its power. Of course buy those who are going to make some profit. Why? Because the good cryptos with good time are going to make good profit. I dont think its bad, that I buy some cryptos or ICO tokens to support developers and ALSO to earn some profit.
All I can see in  those lines is 'I do this because profit,I do that because profit'.You can do whatever you want ,just don't spoil the forum with stupid posts asking for financial advises when you have know idea how cryptos work in general. All you know is ICO's and profit.

And WTF man? You are giving me all this hate but you have signature and avatar for some shitty crypto gambling site? If you are going to give me some lessons about how important bitcoin is, what it means and can do in future...you are late, because I know it and that is why I put my money into it.
Shitty gambling site ? Do I have to coach you on that as well ? I'm pretty sure you don't know jack about bitcoins.Be happy in your little exchange world.

Why I am asking about advice? Because I thought here is a place, where the question wont be hated. Everyone else thanks for your answers Smiley
Questions about general inquiries/suggestions won't be hated. But if you're asking  for a fuckin financial plan to get rich, fuck off.
1950  Economy / Services / Re: Cryptocurrency marketing agency on: December 16, 2017, 10:04:27 AM
Good to see a new cryptocurrency marketing agency. Do you have experience in marketing any ICOs. If you have any experience in this field can you please list it here. Since you are a newbie here its very difficult to get potential clients from this forum. It will be better if you vouch your service atleast for the first customer. Trust me if you do that, you will get many offers.

Thank you for advice! Smiley
Yes, we have experience in crypto marketing, our agency is part of Amazix (www.amazix.com), we have more than 20 ongoing projects and many more forthcoming. I'm working as marketing consultant for many projects, like Flixxo, Datawallet, Fortknoxster, Loomia, Wepower, Restart Energy, and  Renowned is  doing the marketing right now for HDAC project (www.hdac.io).

You can read here about us: https://medium.com/amazix/amazix-partners-with-john-ndege-to-launch-specialist-blockchain-marketing-agency-ad71ce5226f8

lol if you have that sort of money and reach, why the fuck are you even on a forum where freelancers are trying to make some money out of their hard work ? Go find yourself agents from angel.co or something. Also HDAC is a pile of shit sitting over top of a million dollars. You commercial fucks should leave the crypto-scene alone to the normal average programmers like Vitalik who are not backed up by a million dollar business.
What you do with the ICO money anyway ? Buy houses on the side of polish beaches and drinks with little straw hats.
1951  Economy / Reputation / Re: get my ratings up in bitcoin talk on: December 16, 2017, 09:24:51 AM
Either way, I think you should move this thread to the META section.  Wink
No he shouldn't.

To OP, you can help out the forum by cleaning up shitposters by reporting them. Also, you can do some trades. Though none of these guarantees positive "trust" feedback especially if you want a trust from DT members as you mentioned "trust score."
Doing some trades just for the heck of getting trust ratings up doesn't count as being 'trusted' because we all know that ratings will only serve the purpose of using it for something bigger.Reporting shitposters to mods should be done as a genuine contribution to the forum without any expectations.

yeah get your quotes right next time. i never said that.
Don't need to justify it.I believe you.  Wink

i'm never there at CG anymore. i like just-dice.com bustadice.com bit-exo.com
I see what you did there.Pure opportunist.Using CG threads to promote shit-dices now ? Amazing! Not going to work out.

i can write 1 word messages there.
'1 word messages' -Don't want to be your English teacher but you gotta take basic courses up.Also be happy with your 1 word messages. Undecided
1953  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is it late to invest 10K? on: December 16, 2017, 08:55:07 AM
Hello guys,

So I im in cryptos around 2 months and I invested around 1,5K dollars into BTC (70%) and some alts (stratis) and icos.

When i First invested, btc was at 5K, second and Last buy was when btc was at 10K and i am Just wondering...oh Men you could buy btc for 10K dollars Back then and have almost 4x more now.

Anyway 18. December is almost here, in early 2018 a lot of altcoins have some major updates so i am asking you for an advice.

Should i increase my investition into cryptos and invest 10K dollars?

I plan to have 50% in bitcoin, 40% in promising alts (stratis, shift, neo) and the 10% invest into good icos (2 or 3 maybe)
- Get the fuck out of the forum if you are here just for your investment talks.Do you even a fuckin idea what bitcoin is ? "2 months into the crypto and I invested my ass in it" - Man,you guys are a cancer to the crypto scene.
 - No one here has time to be your financial adviser.Do your own homework. If you have any doubts with the technicalities of bitcoin, you will get all the support.
 - Sorry for lashing out but you need to understand bitcoin and not just be here because you want to become quick rich.Lately forum has turned into that place which is bad.
1954  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: TravelFlex : Decentralized Social Network & Payment System on: December 16, 2017, 08:51:04 AM
Understood the travel part.Which countries are you primary targeting ?  It would take ages to reach the horizons which are not  in your continent.
Don't see how Decentralised Social Networks will play a big role here ? I don't see no connection between the two sectors targeted here. The card comes with a service fee or you are taking that as a transaction fee ?
1955  Economy / Gambling / Re: Bitcasino.io – the FUN, FAST and FAIR gaming experience! on: December 16, 2017, 08:45:32 AM
Can this casino ever return to the stage where they honored their commitments and where they had awesome promotions without hidden clauses and excuses. This was my favorite casino and I used to like to promote it to all my friends, but they have gone downhill since.
As far as I know, they have been scamming/cheating users since day 1 of their existence.Critics say, they are ran by an agency which also controls other scam projects like sportsbet.io/vegascasino.io. You can check their ratings on bitcointalk.

Now we see technicalities being used, not to honor their payouts. In a competitve environment like Bitcoin gambling, you only have 1 chance to prove yourself and to build a good reputation and I think they are burning bridges now, with all these dirty tricks.  Angry
They have lost it all with one of their projects sportsbet.io getting  multiple scam accusations every week.I don't why would anyone play here when they're much better options around (like the one in my signature)
1956  Economy / Gambling / Re: ★Crypto-Games.net ★ 10 coins ★ 7 games ★ Since 2014 ★ Largest crowdfunded casino on: December 16, 2017, 08:41:48 AM
i know every dice owner and how they run their chart rooms, and by far CG treats it's customer's with no respect.
No one comes to chat-rooms to be respected  ? I don't know what you're applying here but moderating a chat doesn't mean they don't 'treat customers with respect'.

Probably because there is nothing to get. They make no sense. They intentionally do it to be jerks and think it's funny and that as long as there are people playing it won't matter how they treat people that are in the chat. It will catch up to them in the long run, you can't be shitty for too long without it having an effect on your reputation.

We'll see about that, you could really care less. Smiley

What I don't get is why you would deposit or play there with how they treat you. There are much more respectful/deserving places to play.

Stop taking petty things personally."More respectful/deserving places to play" - that gave me giggles.Had you loved other platforms so much, you wouldn't be here in the first place Wink We all know you love crypto-games secretly.
1957  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO]★ CryptoBnB★ Disrupting Home Rental Platform Powered By Blockchain ★ on: December 15, 2017, 10:38:41 PM
Interesting Concept.
What is business modal for the vendors who would wish to work with you guys ? Excuse me if that's already in the white paper but just would like to have a tl;dr version for it.Blockchain and Rental is cool but how would it replace the current system ? Are we too early for that ? Most of the alt-coin projects are just a concept which wouldn't be used in real life for another decade,is the case same with you ?
1958  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Private message spams on: December 15, 2017, 10:31:08 PM
Seems to be another way to spam.  Have received two private messages this week spamming.  This last one from a newbie "taistatizwrap".
I too keep receiving them very often these days. Those are likely newbie shill bot accounts made for the spamming purpose. All you have to do is report the message to an admin/moderator.They will likely ban the account, wouldn't help much but will certainly keep them in control.
1959  Economy / Lending / Re: What are the best lending options to get interest payments in bitcoins ? on: December 15, 2017, 10:21:50 PM
There is a third-party risk when you keep your bitcoins on a website, a lot of us want to avoid this risk but it's interesting to consider the options to invest a portion of your bitcoins holdings and get a positive return instead of having your bitcoins just sit in the wallet.
Why ? You can simply keep your bitcoins on a hardware wallet or offline ? Investing bitcoins into loans  is also a highly risky way of storing your bitcoins.Chances are,you might never get them back.

Just-dice was trusted and successfully returned gains to investors : you could invest in the site bankroll and play against the players with a 1% edge. You had third party risk and a gambling whale could make you lose money.
Yes that seems feasible ,you can checkout my signature [crypto-games.net] if it interests you.Again, this also has it's own risk.

As of today, freebitco pays daily 4.08% of annual interest on any BTC you keep on the website and bitfinex pays you to lend the bitcoins for traders to short bitcoins, what do you think of these two options and what other options do you know ?
If both of the website get hacked tomorrow, you will be left with nothing..I don't see no investment when I would end up losing whatever I had without my involvement.
1960  Economy / Services / Re: JOB OFFER - FINALLY got funds, starting up my mine soon on: December 15, 2017, 10:17:24 PM
This seems more like a location based job.Pretty sure you can't wire up 25 miners by having a nerd assisting you through a team viewer.I suggest, find if anyone experienced in hardware/rig set-up nearby your location to help you out physically.Do remember mis-configuration would literally turn your project into ashes. This kinda of set-up needs an expert assistance.
