There is some excellent news for the Big 3 supporters. The ICC (Big 3 faction) has successfully sabotaged the proposal to include cricket in 2028 Olympics (which will be held in Los Angeles, United States). So as usual, the discussion now moves to the proposal to include the sport for the 2032 Brisbane Olympics. Cricket Australia is in favor of including cricket in 2032 Games. BTW, the ICC is saying that they are not ready for the inclusion of cricket for the 2028 or 2032 editions, but may consider for the 2036 version. Going by their delaying tactics, I don't expect cricket to be included in Olympics before 2220.

An ICC’s source revealed that the apex body of the sport was not yet ready to make a formal bid to join the 2028 Olympic games in Los Angeles or the 2032 Brisbane Olympics. Thus, they would depend on the event organizers, making the sport a host city pick. Sad news coming in from Zimbabwe: Heath Streak is banned for 8 years, for taking part in match fixing. He is accused of fixing multiple matches (both international matches and those in franchise T20 leagues) and one important aspect is that he received a part of the bribe in the form of Bitcoin. @Visnu.Reang yea even I read about this and for a while I was wondering if he was a new player, but then suddenly I recollected that he was an old player. Also I really like how the media finds a way to insert bitcoin name in this, and this also shows that player’s are aware of bitcoin which is good publicity for cryptocurrency.

Personally I would say that we should be happy about it. Any sort of publicity is going to be good for Bitcoin. As such this is not Bitcoin's problem. Corruption has been a big issue in cricket for the last few decades. And the ICC has zero interest in eliminating match fixing. They always punish the players, but when the franchise owners are involved in match fixing, they treat them with kid gloves. For example take the case of Rajasthan Royals and Chennai Super Kings, whose owners were convicted of match fixing in 2015.

I do not agree with the statement as i do not want to see bitcoin being included in scam and illegal activities, anyone who knows about bitcoin knows that it is not the issue with bitcoin but for a non bitcoiner these sort of negative news are not inspiring either to look into them and if you are looking for publicity in 2021 when it is the biggest earners in the financial sector and still looking for advertisement then it is definitely not the way.

Agreed. It was the BCCI which decided to hand out very lax punishment to both the franchises. And they allowed the franchise ownership to remain unchanged (although the teams were suspended for two years). With any other sports league, the franchise contract would have been cancelled. The owners indulging in match fixing is a very serious offense. And players such as Sreesanth got life bans for accusations, that were later proven to be false.

This match will be a close one SRH needs 34 runs in 18 balls, they still have wickets in hand and anything can happen. I had put my money on RCB but it looks like SRH might change the game result. A couple of sixes can change the match, at the moment RCB still looks like they can win this match.

I still don't think that he got anything in return from the BJP. After the court said that his life ban was illegal, the BCCI still refused to remove it. On the other hand, the BCCI took a much more relaxed approach with ex-players such as Mohammad Azharuddin, who were proved to have indulged in corruption. Now see the irony here. BCCI, which is under the control of the BJP refused to help Sreesanth despite his life ban removed by the court, but took a more helpful approach towards Azharuddin who contested elections for the opposition INC. My take on this is very simple. Sreesanth might have thought that the BCCI would help him if he joins BJP. But they saw no reason to help him and on the other hand further delayed the lifting of his ban despite the ruling by the court.

The media has constantly targeted Murali Vijay and his wife (Nikita) over this. But from what I heard, the real story is much different. Dinesh Karthik was born in to an orthodox Tamil Brahmin family and he was forced to marry the daughter of his father's friend as soon as he turned 21 (in 2007). It was an arranged marriage and Karthik felt no attraction towards Nikita and they never had any physical relationship. His affair with Dipika Pallikal started in 2011, and around the same time Murali Vijay started having an affair with Nikita. But his parents were against divorcing Nikita, and also issues were created when Dipika's parent's asked Karthik to convert. However when it was revealed that Nikita was pregnant with Vijay's child, they finally allowed to divorce.

I am not confident whether these donations will be used carefully and for the right purpose, i am well aware that PM fund received more than enough money during the first wave of the virus and it is not even included to have transparency about all the funds they received nor they released what they did with the money they got and if common sense prevails from the social media campaign about people donating in the PM fund for Covid they raised enough money to give the vaccine free for everyone and for the Oxygen and yet they did nothing and now they are scrambling at the last moment and many people died and now they are collecting donations yet again and what will be the end result.

Well the same situation is our country where no one is confident if the donation they make will be used in the right way or will it be eaten up by the corrupt Politian's ?
Even then this should not refrain us from doing good deeds and help for the others because if the government do not deliver our donations to the right persons, then the sin would be on the government shoulders and they will have to answer it on the judgement day.

It was a noble initiative from Sachin, but my opinion is that it is the duty of the government to provide healthcare and it should not depend on any of the celebrities. These people are already paying 43% of their income as tax, and my opinion is that it will be wrong to overburden them even more. Only around 2% of the Indian population pays any income tax and they have the massive burden to support the remaining 98%. Now Indians should make sure that this 2% is not pushed to the brink. IMO, the rich farmers who earn millions in income, but doesn't pay any income tax (farmers are exempted from income tax in India) should contribute a part of their income. For cricketers, it should be optional.

This is completely wrong, follow the medical journal and all the health experts were warning about a worst situation as the virus is mutating and precautions should be taken from last September and you are now saying that they did not knew about wave, please do not sugar coat things and say it was an unexpected wave.

Even in the case of Oxygen shortage the medical experts warned about hospitals not prepared about the wave and hence the center allotted Oxygen plants from and do you have any idea how much they installed out of the proposed 162 plants just a mere 33 and now the center is lying along with his PR agency that the state failed when they did not even provide any money as all the commissioning was done by Center and after the first wave if you think that they did not expect that i cannot accept that lie.

I am sorry to sway away from the topic but the situation when you see people dying because of the inefficiencies of political pimps or so called leaders and when we cryptocurrency investors create topics every month whether they are going to ban cryptocurrency trading, i feel sick about the control they have over us when we pay them to look after everything and all they want is control over us. This is ridiculous when tax money is given to Serum institute to develop the vaccine and now asking the state to purchase at different price levels when people are dying on a daily basis.

Please do not support these inefficiencies and tell that we never expected this wave, this wave was expected but the stupid reality is that all the Center wants was to boast about how they are helping out other countries by sending vaccines but those stupids never vaccinated their own citizens and only giving limited amount of vaccine doze to every state.

Cricket players or anyone donating do that in your state fund and not in the center funds because i have not seen federalism upheld by the right wing party as they are not treating the other states especially Non BJP rules states as equal and anyone following the vaccination drive will understand that in broad day light.

There are rumors that the T20 World Cup will be shifted to Dubai, if the COVID 19 situation doesn't improve in India. I believe that this is a good move. I would even say that the ongoing IPL should have shifted to the UAE, as many of the players were forced to leave the tournament in between due to issues with bio-bubble. The tournament is scheduled to begin on October, so the ICC needs to make a decision very soon.
