Excellent win for india today in match against afganistan , Finally they got their first win in this world cup, yes it seems a bit late because 99% chances are there that they still wont qualify for the semi finals. If this intent they have shown in the games before the results would have been different but that has gone, lets see if afganistan can beat new zealand now.

I guess India now might have a chance to play the semis. I mean we are expecting a nail biting game today but Afghanistan doesn't played like they were playing in previous games. Rahul n Sharma batting were outstanding in this match. Nabi n janat are only noticeable in Afghanistan batting. Now if Afghanistan manage to beat NZ by big margin we might see India in semis

After such a horrible defeat, I am not sure whether Afghanistan can recover and defeat New Zealand. But to their credit, New Zealand had a very narrow win against Scotland yesterday. On top of that, it is T20 and anything is possible. For India, their resurgence to form came too late. I don't think that they will be able to qualify. For their own satisfaction, they can thrash minnow sides like Scotland and Namibia, and then catch the flight back to India. Anyway I am glad that Kohli is stepping down as the captain, at least for the T20 format.

Lastly Afghanistan is a unpredictable team, but defeating New Zealand is not a easy task too hence it’ll be very interesting if they can cause an upset and beat New Zealand.

Now these cries will get louder if Afghanistan manages to defeat New Zealand by a good margin. Given the NRR calculations, a win with small margin for Afghanistan may not be enough for India to qualify for the knockout stage. Yes Afghanistan has great team beyond any doubt. But when it comes to there performance against India, it really has created doubts. Seeing the rivalry of AFG players with Pakistan (since the are inducted in team by Ashraf Ghani which is no more in power) its very much likely that they want India to play the semis.

Given the NRR calculations, a win with small margin for Afghanistan may not be enough for India to qualify for the knockout stage. The victory margin needs to be somewhere around the 50-60 run level.

Afganistan has qualified directly for the WC, they are no more associate team. They get so close to winning against Pakistan. I am sure they will do best to win against NZ.

New Zealand had both negatives and positives to take away from the match against Namibia. Their total was just 96 after 16 overs. But they smashed 65 runs in the next 4 overs, and finished at 161. Namibian bowlers were exceptional during the initial 80% of the innings, but they gave away the advantage during the last 20%. And this is typical for inexperienced teams. The middle overs (7-15 overs) seems to be an issue for the New Zealand batsmen. They are unable to keep the scorecard ticking.

India already packed their bags knowing well what the result would be, BCCI announced a new coach in Rahul Dravid and these things were taken care during this period to reduce the backlash they were getting from the fans for the loss in the first two matches and they even announced that Rohit Sharma will be leading India in the white ball and the fate was in the ceiling.
One more match and India will play against a small team and will score some crazy runs and then fly back home  .

Indian players have the advantage of playing in the richest franchise T20 league in the world. But they still couldn't manage to qualify for the semi-finals. I have a feeling that the BCCI is wrong when they are banning all the Indian players from participating in foreign T20 leagues. There is no justification to do that, when foreigners are taking part in the IPL. At least those who are not part of the Indian squad should be allowed to play in the foreign leagues. This sort of monopolistic tendencies will do more harm in the long run.

@Sithara007 though I agree that BCCI should allow Indian player’s to play in other countries T20 tournament, but in this case the clear issue was player’s were exhausted, and instead of opting out they decided to turn up for the World Cup.

Also as we discussed in other thread some player’s should have been dropped, but one reason or the other they were picked hence BCCI investigate and drop those player’s who were tired, but yet participated and hurt India’s chance of qualifying for the World Cup.

Majority of players in IPL are from Indian national team or foreign players, very few are from domestic setup. Those who are not in IPL must be allowed to play other leagues to get necessary financial benefit. Moreover, Indian players are isolated from rest of the world T20 environment as they only play on there home itches, that's one reason why Indian batting filed against Pakistan pace attack. lets hope BCCI lift this ban from Indian players.

One lady named Rehnuma Bhati has accused Hardik Pandya of raping her at the Trident hotel.

According to the complaint, Pandya and his two friends committed all kinds of unnatural sexual activities with her including oral sex and anal sex, and all of them were drunk.

Do not jump the gun, these are allegations and once there is concrete proof and if the accuser can produce the evidence then we can say that it is punishable offence. The article that is posted does not have any clear indication of what really happened but one woman came out and accused cricket players and politician. Looks like someone was forced into prostitution and they visited her and now she had the courage to file a complaint regarding her situation.

Its a big offense and anyone who is involved must be punished. We saw allegations of same type on Babar Azam few months back, where a woman accused him of marrying her secretly. The woman later withdraw her charges. On same ground Munaf Patel and Hardik Pandya must be given space to give there verdict and if found guilty by court then they must be punished. Based on news we must not jump to conclusion.
