Pandya purchased the watches in the UAE and brought them to India without paying the import duty at the airport. A poor third world country such as India can't afford to have people like Pandya, who refuse to pay the due taxes. Justice system in India is designed in a way that it only favors the strong person. Players must focus on there games not on becoming a media celebrity. Players like Pandya are more on media then on play grounds, thanks to Indian media and now when bad news are coming from Pandya same media is cursing him for his wrong deeds.

This is a very casual attitude from such a big player who has played lots of cricket and has traveled a lot. He is in news for rape allegations and he must be very careful with everything rather he opened another case. He must be punished for such casual behavior, which is bringing shame to Indian cricket. @Sithara007 I won’t comment on the rape issue until it’s proved, because most likely it’ll never be proved due to lack of evidence as it’s always seen when a case is filed against a famous person.

Furthermore as for the watches are concerned he gave a statement which said that he declared full customs, but the officers wanted to revalue it and he believes the media is misleading the people, but he didn’t say he’ll sue those outlets for spreading lies which does make me wonder who’s correct and who’s lying.

I am not sure whether his statement is satisfactory enough. The market value of these two watches stand at ₹50 million and Pandya is still claiming that he purchased them for ₹15 million. BTW, some time previously Krunal Pandya was detained at the same airport. Krunal went a level higher. He just didn't declared the watches upon arrival. He was caught red handed and forced to pay a penalty. The Pandya brothers are always controversial and why do you think that the law will surrender against BCCI, not sure how that works but if they would have the ability to solve them, these news would not be out in the public in the first place. So the idea of giving invisible powers for each and every situation is funny  .

The molestation charges are recent right from one of the woman who has connections with the underworld, that is what i read from the news and now the expensive watches. I do not think the BCCI will intervene in situation like these. When Sachin Tendulkar faced the same issue in the past for getting a car home which was gifted to him, he was asked to pay the prize of the car as tax because the import tax is 100% and the government gave him the concession because it was a gift for his performance and i do not remember BCCI intervene in that situation.

This is also personal problems and if anyone is to pay the tax for the items, BCCI will not intervene and what is the reputation when the news is already public, does not make any sense.

Also BCCI is keen to draft Hardik for SA tour if he’s proved fit, not surprising at all and now all he needs to do is prove his fitness and despite his poor form he’ll be welcomed in the squad.

The media will hype the case and once it is resolved they will not apologize for that nor they will update the narrative, it is a common them globally. May be they have declared the value and paid the tax, it is not a criminal issues if they are willing to pay tax and not smuggle things.

Regarding the rape allegation, i know one lady accused several high profile people from politicians to cricket players about raping her, it is possible that it could be a blackmailing strategy as well to settle money outside court.

Still I am not sure whether the allegation is 100% true. If that is the case, he should be given the strictest punishment possible. But the cautious attitude from him in smuggling the luxury watches surprised me. Krunal Pandya (his brother) was booked for the same offense three days before Hardik was caught and yet he had the courage to repeat the offense. BTW, Hardik was not retained by the Mumbai Indians for the next IPL. I guess he may be playing for the Ahmedabad franchise in 2022.

With such attitude he must be axed from Indian team as well as from ipl. He belongs to class of players who can't digest fame and money. I don't think he will be able to find a seat in Indian team after Kohli is no more a captain. Its still a big feast for Pandya to have seat in 2022 ipl.

I am yet to read about the case and i am not sure whey there were no active action against him about her complaint in 2017, even during the Me Too movement this should have come to light and that did not happen and now the Woke movement is active and they are looking to cancel each and everyone and they might have digged the history and Australia is also riding that wave. Lets see how it goes and and by sending a nude pic his career will be over.

Age cannot be a factor here and I am happy at least now that woman got some relief but not sure what kind of compensation will be the right one for someone who quit their job after harassment. In this imbalanced world, even late justice are somehow cure pain after lots of struggle and sacrifices. I guess this case might not have got this much importance if Paine was not a skipper and just a player. Anyhow, I guess there will be no point of discussing about destroying Paine's career as he was convicted and hence must face that for the crime.
