Yeah, It's been unfortunate to postpone the series to June 2022. Pakistan was in great form and they would have wanted to whitewash the ODI series too but now they have to wait another six months to celebrate the ODI wash white.

Cricket is an unpredictable game, you can't say WI will be as weak as they are till Jun 2022 or Pakistan will be as strong as they are now till Jun 2022. If WI can call back there players that are playing leagues worldwide by Jun 2022 the outcome of series will be different. Don't celebrate until you win.

The assumption is based on WestIndies performance for last 3 to 4 years. There are bright chances that Pakistan will win the series. WestIndies first priority should be to avoid whitewash at every cost. A win can surely boost there confidence. Its so heartbreaking to see WestIndies team in such down situation.

West Indies is competitive only in the T20 format and now they are not producing the talents that they used to considering how they performed badly during the last T20 World Cup and that is continuing in the current series against Pakistan, who reached the finals. Pakistan is a really strong team and there is no way West Indies will dominate Pakistan.

Even in T20 format, West Indies have performed poorly over the years. They have some of the best players in this format, but that hasn't translated to too many wins for the national team in recent times. Personally I believe that the team with the best balance will perform the best in T20, and not the team with the best players. And that is why in T20, teams like Australia and Pakistan are much superior to West Indies. And for now, you can forget about West Indies defeating Pakistan while playing under sub-continental conditions.

I don't think anything going to change in the period of 6 months. Also note that Pakistan will be playing a series with Australia early next year 2022, which will further boost their skills and confidence.

Australia won't be touring Pakistan that's for sure. The only way Pakistan can play a home series against Aus is at UAE. UAE conditions are suitable for Pakistan, they can perform better in UAE then at home. Australia won't be as easy to play like WestIndies. Australia also recently beaten Pakistan in T20 WC.

There is an interesting news for PCB and cricket fans in Pakistan as NZ confirmed that they will tour twice in 2022-23 to make up for the recent cancelled tour to Pakistan. Its good news for PCB but they must ask NZ not to do anything silly like they did last time. Since it will greatly destroy there repute.

Australia won't be touring Pakistan that's for sure. The only way Pakistan can play a home series against Aus is at UAE. Well, there is no such announcement of Australians not coming to Pakistan in 2022. I think Pakistan should not play in UAE and should insist them to visit our country.
I am not sure why they are afraid to lose with Pakistan when they are already playing well against England.

As of today CA is sending its team to Pakistan, cant say about tomorrow. I remember Najam Sethi (ex PCB Boss) saying playing at UAE is total in loss. There is no financial profit for PCB in playing at UAE. Thats major reason why PCB earnings are equal to Bangladesh cricket board. I dont think under current PCB management, Pakistan will play at UAE.

@eaLiTy that’s the key factor if big player’s of Australia pull out of this series then fans won’t turn up in stands, and won’t even watch the match on TV which will further hurt PCB finances. However if all big player’s participate, then PCB should get handsome returns from ticket sales and broadcasting revenues.

BCCI revenues are ahead of all boards because 1.3 billion people in India are crazy for this sport while same craze is not seen in Pakistan. Tim Paine was the first one to pull out of this tour and later pulled out from Aus squad. Let's see who other is not willing to tour Pakistan. I am sure PCB won't play this at neutral venue.

Some shit going on in Netherlands. A few months ago, during a match between two of the top club sides (VOC Rotterdam vs HCC), there was an allegation that a native player (Dirk van Baren) made a racist remark against a player of Asian origin (Yash Patel, the wicket keeper). There was a heated exchange between the two players after van Baren edged a delivery from Reinier Bijloos, and Patel alleged that the remarks made by van Baren was racist. HCC refused to continue with the game and walked off. Now there is a debate whether the points should be awarded to VOC, or they should be equally split. Even after so many months, the KNCB hasn't reached on a decision yet.  

Cricket is already a dying sport in Netherlands and around 70% of the club players are expats. Incidents such as this one will further destroy any interest in the game from the native population. In the end, Netherlands cricket team will end up like UAE or Oman, where all the players are non-citizens.

I don't think Netherland will allow such model in there cricket team, they will prefer not to made cricket team instead. Netherland team was in 1996 WC but still there team is weak. Cricket is popular in South Asia and its South Asian origin players that mostly made up teams of countries like Canada,  Netherlands. The way cricket is moving I don't think we will see strong team joining in.

I am not sure how true practically this statement is. For example, we need to consider South Africa; they were able to produce quality players among many such incidents. Racism is not a new problem in all Europe countries hence I am not seeing such incident will bother the new talents at their interest levels.

Could you please elaborate more on this statements so that we could get more enlightenment on your point. Do you mean Netherlands will not bother even if they lose players for the reason of racism? I do not think any developed country will take such a stand in this modern days.

I just had a point on @Sithara007 statement that gulf cricket team model may be adopted by netherland if incidents like racism keep happening. Netherland is developed country and they will not allow team of expats to represent Netherland at international venues. Gulf model is very different. Its really that simple.

It's not about the money, it's more about the dignity and change of perception. It's been years of that attacks on the Sri Lanka team and for how many years team will use the same excuse of security? If Aussie do not want to play because of any covid variant outbreak at that time, that's understandable as we also care about the health but no more security excues.

Netherland is developed country and they will not allow team of expats to represent Netherland at international venues. Gulf model is very different. Its really that simple.

The Gulf nations do this in most of the sports. Even in the Olympic games, countries such as Qatar usually fields mercenary athletes from Africa and the former USSR. But the catch here is that the other sports have strict quotas for such athletes, while in cricket you can easily form a "national team" without a single citizen. Look at basketball for example. Citizenship is mandatory, and on top of that there is an additional condition that the number of naturalized citizens should not be more than one.

Australia is not touring Pakistan even before 9/11, last time they tour Pakistan was in 1997 AFAIR. While SL team was attacked in 2009, Pakistan keep touring Australia despite CA boycott to tour Pakistan. I remember CA has no issue sending players to India to play IPL during peak of covid19. Money is above everything.
